Stefan suddenly woke up when his book fell from his lap to the floor. As soon as he reached down to pick it up, he suddenly heard a noise.
"Damon?" Stefan asked as he thought maybe Damon was home. But when Damon didn't answer and Stefan heard the noise again, he quickly stood up.
"Is someone there?" Stefan called out as he was still trying to figure out what the noise was coming from.
When Stefan slowly turned around and was suddenly attacked and fell to the ground on his back, he was about to fight off his attacker when he noticed the other vampire.
"Lex!" Stefan exclaimed in surprise.
"Hi." Lexi said with a grin as she quickly got up and helped Stefan off the floor.
"What are you doing here?" Stefan asked, unsure why Lexi was there.
Lexi's smile fell when she heard Stefan's question. "How could you even ask that?"
Stefan then suddenly realized what today was, when he pulled his best friend into a hug." I missed you."
Lexi pulls back with a smile." Happy Birthday."

"Stop." Lexi said as she stopped Stefan from messing with her."Look, I don't know what happened. Some freak shot at me with wooden bullets. Next thing I know, I bailed out under sixty. By the way, why is a news reporter hunting vampires?"
Stefan shrugged his shoulders."I don't know. Who knows about us? For some reason, that guy knew, but there could be others, so please be careful while you're here."
"Why even stay here? Come on Stefan, I'm headed to New York for the weekend. Bon Jovi in the Garden... Wanted dead or alive, it's our theme song. Come! It'll be a blast." Lexi said with a smirk.
"Hey, do you think he'd actually remember us? That was a pretty crazy weekend, huh?" Stefan asked, remembering the last time he and Lexi were in New York when Bon Jovi played at Madison Square Garden.
"We can make him remember us. Let's just go now. I mean seriously, what's keeping you here?"
Stefan chuckled softly. "I've told you already. Her name is Caroline." He said with a grin.
Lexi snorted, little shaking her head." Well, let's just hope she's better than the last girl you were sprung over." Lexi said with a smirk as she remembered the first time Stefan mentioned Valerie to her.
" You didn't even know Valerie."
Lexi snorted a laugh." That's because if I did, I'd kick her ass... little bitch. Speaking of... where's Damon?" She asked as she noticed her least favorite Salvatore brother wasn't home.
"Probably inflicting misery somewhere. Hey, are you gonna be okay here alone? Cause I got some things I gotta take care of before I go see Caroline."
"Well, I can't really go anywhere because of my ring, and you and Damon are the only ones who have these nifty daylight rings." Lexi said as she examined Stefan's ring.
"Oooh, I do have a mood ring from like the '70s. I'll trade you." Lexi offered with a smirk.
"It doesn't work out that way, and you know it."
" Yeah, I know." Lexi said with little disappointment.
" Hey, Lexi I really am glad that your here though."
" So, what are we doing for your birthday?" Lexi asked as she smirks slightly.
" Ugh, seriously?" Stefan asked as he wasn't really in the mood for a celeberation.
" Oh yeah." Lexi answered as she nods her head.
After Stefan was at the police station and after he talked to Sheriff Forbes and answering whatever the Sheriff had about Vicky Donavon who's supposely missing, He went to see ,Caroline before going back home to check on Lexi and basically making sure Damon didn't kill her or Lexi didn't kill him. When it comes to Damon, Stefan knows that Lexi can handle herself.
" So, how did it go with my mom?" Caroline asked as she came back out of the kitchen with a glass of Burboun for Stefan and a glass of Ice Tea for herself. Caroline knew Stefan and everyone else was going to be at the poliice station talking to her mom, since her mom had lot of questions about Vicki's disappearance. Caroline just didn't go since she wanted to avoid the whole situation.
Taking the glass from Caroline, Stefan sighs deeply." I think it went alright. I mean your mom still thinks Vicki is just missing,and we gotta keep it that way. I just don't know for how long we can keep the teuth from Matt or anyone else though."
"Yeah, well we're gonna have to. I mean it's been months since the School Carvinal and what happened to Vicki Donavon." Caroline didn't want Vicki dead, but when Vicki attacked Jeremy and almost attacked Elena that night. Her and Stefan didn't have a choice.
Stefan nods his head in agreement as he took a drink of his Burboun." Have you talked to Bonnie or Elena today?"
Caroline sighs as she shook her head." Nope, and what's more annoying I think they're avoiding me." For awhile now everytime Caroline tried to call Bonnie or Elena they never answer and few times when she apporach them in the Hall at School, they either go quiet or they walk towards the other direction.
" Why are they doing that? Did something happended between you three?"
" I don't think so and that's what I am trying to figure out." Caroline answered as she sighs deeply." I've been thinking lately."
" About?"
" About maybe it's time to finally tell Elena about Damon."
Stefan raised his brow for a moment." Are you sure, you wanna tell her?"
" I know, I promised that I wouldn't say anything and so far, I've kept that promise. But Stefan, the more I watch her and Damon together. The more I feel like I should tell her." Caroline knows telling Elena that Damon is a vampire is risky and dangerous. But Caroline now feels that Elena needs to know the truth, before she gets in more deeper with Damon.
Stefan knew understood where Caroline was coming from and so far she had kept his secret and Stefan had appericate it.But he knew how hard for Caroline not being able to tell her two best friends since one of them has been seeing his brother.
" Maybe, we should tell her together." Stefan suggested as he felt Caroline doesn't have to tell Elena his and Damon's secret on her own.
Caroline nods her in agreement." So, when do you think we should tell her?"
" We'll tell her in a couple of days."
When Lexi woke up and saw Damon staring back at her." Well, look who it is. It's my least favorite Salvatore." She said with an eye roll.
"Hello, Lexi. What an unexpected surprise." Damon said sarcastically.
Lexi snorted a laugh." Unexpected surprise? I think the wrong brother went back to high school."
' How long are you staying for?" Damon asked ignoring her question.
" I'm only here for Stefan's B-day."
"Wow, you mean you didn't come all this way to see me?" He asked, pretending to defend himself against the notion that Lexi hadn't come to see him.
." That's it Damon. After a century I finally realize death means nothing without you, do me." She said with an eye roll her eyes.
" Why are you so mean to me?"
" Um... have you met you? You're not a nice person."
" Well that's because, I am vampire."
" Yeah, the bad parts."
"Then why don't you teach me, to be good?" Damon suggested, smirking slightly.
In a flash, Lexi grabbed Damon by the throat and pinned him to the bed as she squeezed his neck a little harder." She said, "I'm older than you, so I'm stronger, and we both know that I can tear you apart." Lexi leaned down, getting in his face.
" Don't ruin my time with Stefan."
" Yeah." Damon chokes out.
Lexi finally loses her grip on Damon's throat and lets go as she glares at Damon and scoffs, shaking her head as she turns around and walks out of Stefan's room, not wanting to be near Damon any more than she has to.
Damon gasps and quickly coughs as he quickly sat up and heavily sighs as he got out of bed and walked out of Stefan's room, heading downstairs and out the door. Damon has something else that's more important to deal with, than having to deal with Lexi.
Walking through the doors of the Grill, Caroline stopped for a moment and looked around. Once she spotted Elena and Bonnie sitting at their usual table, Caroline exhaled deeply as she walked towards their table." Hey guys." Caroline said with a huge grin on her face as she sat down beside Bonnie and across from Elena.
" Oh, hey Care. What's up?" Elena asked as she took a bite of her French fries.
Caroline snorted a laugh as she shook her head." You know, I was about to ask you guys the same question.
Bonnie and Elena exchanged looks as they had no clue what Caroline was talking about. "What are you talking about?" Bonnie asked.
Caroline sighed heavily as she rolled her eyes. "I'm talking about the fact that you two have been avoiding me lately. So, what's going on, guys?"
"We haven't been avoiding you. We've just been kinda busy." Elena shrugged her shoulders a little.
" Whatever, what are we doing tonight?"
"You three girls should throw a party tonight, right here at the Grill." Damon answered as he walked up to their table and sat down right next to Elena.
"Why would we do that?" Caroline asked as she crossed her arms over her chest and looked at Damon skeptically. Caroline was always up for a party, but since it was Damon asking, she couldn't help but think he was up to something.
"Because then Stefan and his BFF won't come." Damon answered as he reached over and grabbed a few fries off of Elena's plate and popped them into his mouth with a smirk.
"Stefan's BFF?" Caroline asked, wondering why she had never heard of this person until now.
"You know Stefan's best friend." Damon answered as he shrugged his shoulders a little.
" No, I get that part. But who's Stefan's best friend? Does this person have a name?"
"Do you really wanna know?" Damon asked as he smirked slightly, enjoying seeing Caroline starting to get a little jealous already.
"Damn it, Damon, who is it?" Caroline huffed out in frustration.
"Lexi." Damon answered casually as he took another fry before getting up from the table.
"I'll see you ladies later." He said with another smirk and a wink as he walked over to the bar and ordered himself a glass of bourbon neat.
"I"ll talk to you guys later. I'm gonna go and see Stefan." Caroline said as she got up from the table and headed out of the Grill. Caroline isn't the jealous type. But she can't help but wonder why Stefan never told her about this Lexi person or the fact that she's his best friend.
