Several years ago...

A festival was going on in the night at Mahana Village on Hakolo island under the two moons one full, the other broken by a certain god as the villagers, human, faunus, mutes and other humanoid both mystical and super natural like creature known as pokémon are all living in peace and harmony with creature from the past and near future. As the songstress sang, drummers banged on their drums in rhythm, riders wearing their masks were fire dancing as lanterns were being lit as the tame Dino's and creature bellowed and roared in enjoyment. A few riders with their apprentices who were late to the celebration arrived watching excitedly. Hunters and pro heroes were on the edge of the crowd watching, somewhat amused and bored by the festival. When the crowd started to part and a masked rider came in between the crowd riding a velocidrome, the hunters became tense touching their sheathed weapons as a smilodon and a carnotaurus who was tamed by the villagers were resting in the sand as the other tames and monsties were inside their pents taking it easy.
The masked rider carrying a spear headed to the biggest lantern, as two fire dancers extinguished their flame, they stabbed on two circles of the lantern revealing the flame within. The rider on the velocidrome held up his spear, a spear tipped with a white arrowhead glistening in the moonlight and the lanterns were released into the night sky. As the lanterns rose up in the sky, another hunter approached the others whispering in one of their ears and they nodded in response as one released the hound faunus, demi humans and beastmen as they ran to the forest, barking and howling as they caught the whiff of something
"Shining in the night, upon wings you'll fly, hope from the dark, brightening the sky just like the sun. our salvation, enlightened by you, o sacred star, light our way."
As the festival continued, deep in the jungles of Hakolo island a young Wyverian girl cloaked in ghillie and two fox faunus duo was running away from scout flies but then heard barking and howling.
"oh no they found us!" Said a worried female fox faunus.
"keep moving, were nearly there!" said the male fox faunus as they heard the hounds voices.
"over there, we found their scent" one of the hound beastmen.
"don't lose them, this is our only chance of capturing them" said the leader of the pack.
They skidded to a halt looking back as the scout flies came after them and the hounds were not far behind, they soon squeezed through some remnants of a ruin, keeping just ahead of the scout flies and the hounds.
"we can't lose them" said the female fox faunus as her fear is shown as she hear the howling and barking of the hounds.
"don't give us yet, I know a way out follow me!" Said the male fox faunus leading the way as they followed.
The female Wyverian tried smacking the scout flies away as they caught up with her and her friends, they continued to run and seeing a cliff.
"Jump!" Command the male fox faunus as they jump off it causing the scout flies to lose them as there catching their breath.
"we lost the Scout flies" the female fox faunus said sighing in relief as the male fox faunus looked up to see the scout flies return to three hunters who stood at the cliff looking around before looking at each other, the hunters nodded to each other and took off.
"but not the hounds!" The male fox faunus said as the pack stopped as they begin sniffing the ground for tracks.
"hey, where did they go? One of the hound demi human wondered as they kept sniffing but lost their scents.
"i think they got away!" A hound beastkin said but the leader a hound demi faunus refused to admit it.
"Bullshit there no way that they couldn't gone far, search everywhere and I mean everywhere!" He ordered his pack as they salute "sir yes sir!" They begin searching every nook and cranny for their target who see them and are now cornered.
"how will get get to guardian ratha now with the hound on our tail" the female fox faunus whispered as she and the young Wyverian are scared but the male fox faunus knew what to do.
I'll draw them away!" as he went to go his young mate stopped him, deeply concerned for him.
"no they'll kill you!" She whisperer worried about him.
"Have to try and catch me first, Luna, I'll be fine, you have to trust me! Whispered said to her who was unsure but let him go but not before saying "please come back to me my brave sun" she whispered to him as he kissed her forehead before whispering back "i will my beautiful moon!"he then went to draw them away.
The hounds pack were beginning to close in on their target the two girl were about to be discovered when the male fox faunus made a screeching howls drawing the hound's attention before running the other direction.
"Quick after him!" The leader said as they gave chase, barking and howling giving the girl the slip in turn of going after their target.
"we have to hurry… " the young Wyverian said as the female fox faunus nodded "right let's go" she said as they ran through the undergrowth, pushing past the ferns until she happened upon an old set of ruins that looked like it once used to be a shrine.
Meanwhile the male fox faunus was losing his breath from running but he hear the barking and howling as he see on of his escape tunnel as he slip inside as the hounds pack stopped to see the tunnels entrance closed up with a big stone.
"Damm it he gave us the slip" the hound leader said cursing himself.
"it alright boss we'll find them" one of the hound faunus said as they went back to rediscover the scent of their target.
At the base lay an old scarred rathalos faunus covered in plant matter, its defining feature a x like scar across its face and right beside him were another rathalos faunus and a rathian faunus staying at the old rathalos faunus's side before they noticed the intruders and growled and snarled at them.
"Who are you, and why are you here" the rathian faunus said to the young Wyverian and faunus.
"tell us now or we'll burn you both to crisp!" The rathalos faunus threatened them as sla fireball appeared from his have as the two girl backed away in fear but then the old rathalos faunus spoke "Stand down, there not threats" he said to the young wyverns faunus couple who looked at him with unsure look in their face.
"are you sure dad" the young adult rathalos faunus said asking his father who responded "im sure of it son" he said as he turn to them with a smile before saying "come fourth young ones" they indeed come forward as The wyverian sighed with relief as she looked upon the near sleeping monster faunus, and lowered her hood to reveal herself.
???: "I'm so glad… you're still alive…. Ratha…"
"and I'm glad you still remember me Ena!" Ratha said to the young Wyverian as the adult rath couple walked toward them as they begin to introduce themselves.
"my name is Eric "Raza" rath, I'm the son of guardian ratha and the current king of the sky" the Rathalos faunus said as he spreads his wing wide as he stood proudly and confident as his mate did the same.
"abd my name is Mindy "Jade" rath, I'm the wife of Raza and current queen of the land" she said politely as she bowed To them as they did the same
"im lunara and my mate is Solaris but he isn't currently here as he was drawing guild hounds sent by hunters and pro heroes" the vixen faunus named lunara being polite to the rulers and guardian ratha.
The wyverian girl raised her hand revealing a kinship stone, a kinship stone that soon resonated with the old rathalos faunus opening up and glowing with energy. The rathalos faunus soon responded to the energy, waking up and fully opening his eyes to see the wyverian girl and the vixen faunus. Ratha though looked slightly disappointed and sad upon seeing the girl, as if it was expecting someone else other than the vixen faunus. Though as the girl approached Ratha still purred and greeted as the girl put her head to his snout, it was like an old friend meeting another.
"I bet you were expecting someone else…. I thought I'd never see you again, old friend…" Ena said as ratha said "yes I was expecting someone I know but he's gone now but it good to see you again young one." He said sincere toward Ena who smiled before turning toward the new rath faunus couple "son, jade, the egg" he said to them who responded with a shocked and defensive pose.
"IM NOT LETTING THEM NEAR MY BABY!" Jade said aggressively but Raza calmed her down then turn to his dad "dad I understand but we don't trust them with our child as we made it and it should be our responsibility" he said but ratha became stern "i understand but we all know it was bound to happen, now jade I know you loved your egg but we know it time to give it up" he said as jade was defiant and protective but soon relent her egg as she brought it out as it was single lone red egg with black markings.
Jade picked up her egg and walked toward it before putting it down gently before backing away for Ena to take it.
The wyverian girl looked at the egg before gently grabbing it, she lifted the egg close to her. She looked at it with sadness and understanding. Though before she could say anything the ground illuminated red below her, causing her to be startled. She looked around scared as Ratha lifted his head growling, he started letting out calls as if calling to a rider as it worried Raza.
"Dad what wrong" he asked him worried as ratha said "it happening again" ratha said groaning in pain.
"what happening again" Raza asked but then Arrows soon flew hitting the ground in front of Ratha and the rath couple as a warning shot, four hunters and two pro heroes appeared aiming their weapons at Ratha and the others as the heroes got their powers known as quirks ready. In return the old rathalos faunus became angry, getting a fireball ready in it's throat. Ena and lunara looked towards the hunters and pro heroes frightened.
We want this one alive!" said a pro hero who have vine quirk
As the hunters and pro heroes were readying their weapons and quirks, another one held back, noticing the red lights.
"Hold up, somethings not right." one of the hunters
"This is bad, hurry up!" said a female pro heroes who have sharp quills for her quirk.
As the third hunter pulled back his bow, Ratha let loose with a powerful fireball at them. One of the hunters protected the young child, getting severely burned in the process. Ena and lunara had braced themselves, when they looked they let out a gasp at seeing the fire burned where Ratha had shot. The child who was protected got up with minimal wounds, let out a concerned yell.
Dad!" Said a concern young child said as Raza growled as his dad was threatened as he charged at the threats as jade joined him as the female pro hero fired her quills at them but with evasive speed and agility they dodged it as jade did a backspin as her tail knocked the female pro hero down for the count but she was ensnared by the vine pro hero.
Seeing his mate trapped he charged up his fire ball before firing at as it send the vine pro hero flying as his mate was freed but both hear screaming as the hound faunus grabbed the two girls.
"we got you now!" Said one of the guild hounds.
"let us go!" Lunara said struggling as Ena did the same but it was futile.
"no way your coming with us" the guild hound leader said but then was tackled to the ground by the male fox faunus who is named Solaris as the other hounds went to help their leader as Ena was scared and worried about the egg's safety.
Ratha knew the egg was in danger and so was Ena as he thought quick and hard til he turn to his son "son, you and jade take the egg and go!"
"wait what about the girl?" Raza asked but ratha stopped him "there no time, Ena need protection and I can provide it, you and jade can take your child to safety and raise in secrecy til he grow up" Raza said as he grabbed Ena and holded her close "ena your in danger and so is the egg, you must give the egg back to his parents and let them raise it"
"but..." Ena was unsure.
"i understand but when the egg Hatch and return here to this very island, you can remain here with me til then" ratha said as Ena knew fate was changing and so she has to go with it as she lend the egg back to jade then looked at them with sadden eyes "please keep it safe" she begged them as Raza nodded "we will Ena, we'll keep our son safe" he promised her but he soon noticed the young boy as he snarled as he flew toward the young boy as jade tried to stop him "Honey no!"
Raza pinned the boy down as he still remember the hunter and pro hero threatened his dad as he see a opportunity to rid of a young boy while he has a chance as the boy whimpered in fear as Raza begin charging a fireball and about to unleash it when his mate cried out "STOP!"
Raza stopped as he turn to jade who looked betrayed by his sudden action and disappointed in him so Raza stopped the fireball but instead let out a terrifying roar toward the young boy before flying off with jade following him as Ena, Solaris and lunara ran across the jungle til as they followed the fleeing parents til they eventually reach the edge of the island as they watch them go.

The Village had stopped in its festivities as the island and sea had been bathed in pillars of red light, villagers quickly guided the children to safety. A rider and her apprentice approached the piers examining the waters, the hunters were mumbling between themselves. The Mentor put her hand in the water pulling out some to examine it as the apprentice stuck close by. Chief Gara soon approached the two, calming the villagers with his presence alone.
"What is this??" one of the rider wondered
"This is a bad sign." chief Gara said as he wondering what is going on.
Before more words could be exchanged, Guardian rathalos flew overhead giving a loud roar. The villagers gasped looking up to see their guardian flying away from the island followed by other Rathalos faunus, demi human, beastmen and beastkins along with normal rathalos including variants, Dreadking, blue, even a few rare silver rathalos along with calamity Apexes rathalos were all following guardian Ratha. The flock flying away from the island caused the villagers to become upset wondering where their guardian was going, and why he was taking all the rathalos with him as the dino, tames and pokemon begin to panic within the village as if they sensed what's wrong.
As the hunting party returned to the village, they noticed the flock as well. They looked at each other grumbling as the male pro heroes carried his injured dad while the female pro heroes is carrying the scared young boy. The young boy looked surprised to see the whole flock leaving the island, while the hunters and heroes looked annoyed.
As the faunus rath duo were leaving Raza bumped into one of his kind as he didn't noticed the red light but see his kin leaving the island 'wait why as they leaving' he was interrupted by another rathalos bumping into his as he turn to snarl.
"hey what the big...idea?" Raza soon noticed the red light as he fall into a trance and like a moth to a flame begin to follow the light as jade noticed her mate flying toward the light.
"honey stop!" jade called out but Raza was too in tranced to hear her.
"Raza!" She yelled out again but got no response as he was farther away til she cried out.
"ERIC!" Raza heard her right there as she never used his real name after a long time as he got out of the trance as he turn to see her carrying her egg with a tearful look in her eyes, felt guilty he flew back to her as they embraced eachother and gently bumped head as a sign of apology in which she return before flying off into the unknown as a storm was slowly approaching.
"Put your faith in what you most believe in

The rath couple kept flying as it traversing the ocean sky as they flew from miles miles from the island as it was a long journey they flying south east as they endure a strong storm and pestering pterosaurs.
"Trust your heart, Let fate decide, To guide these lies we see"
They eventually made it to their destination which was the island of menagerie, which was a couple miles away from the continent of Australia and a miles next door to Tasmania as they went deep into the jungle into the island of faunus as they see their jungle cave as they flew inside.
"A paradise untouched by man"
They land and walked inside as their nest was littered with 8 hatching and a few adolescents as their children ran to them happy to see their parents as Raza stayed and guard the entrance.
"Within this worlds blessed with love"
Jade begin regurgitated leftover from their previous hunt from a couple day ago as their hatchings begin to feed as she rest on the nest then placed her egg on the nest as the few of their hatching wondered what their new brother or sister be like.
"A simple life, they live in peace"
The next day after the storm have pasted, Raza and jade were taking a stroll to the secluded part of beach as their offsprings begin to have fun and play while jade is caring for her egg.
"Softly tread the sand below your feed now,
Two worlds, one family"
Raza and jade nuzzled their faces together as they looked at their egg which it wiggled a bit signaling life inside as their still hope for their future.
"Trust your heart, Let fate decide, To guide these lives we see"
The next day, as Raza was on patrol, jade was leading their children to a watering hole, one of the rath's kids wandered off as it spotted a butterfly and chased after it but it soon stumbled into trouble as a pack of mightyenas didn't like intruder as they chased after the little one who fled for its life.
"Beneath the shelter of the trees, Only love can enter here"
When one of the mightyenas was about to catch the hatching, jade smacked it away with its tail before letting out a roar that scared the troop of dark type pokemon away as it nuzzled the saved offspring who was terrified of the experience.
"A simple life, they live in peace"
Jade told Raza what happened as it raised concern for both parents as they need to keep them safe.
"Raise your head up, Lift high the load"
The rath couple went to the village where the faunus that live there are happily help them but supplies as they treat them with respect but Raza struggling to carried the load on his own but then felt it a bit more light as he turn to see jade assist him.
"Take strength from those that need you"
The rath couple carried their new supplies back to their cave as they begin building.
"Build high the walls, Build strong the beams"
They building their cave to be more defensive and fortitude for their children as they made doors, and lookout perch for them to use when taking turn looking out for danger.
"A new life is waiting, But danger's no stranger here"
Unknowingly for them, danger was nearby in form of a seregios, the mortal enemies of rath's and threat to their offsprings as Jade and Raza's numbers which dwindled to just two after the other grew up and became independent.
In the cover of night, jade and Raza were resting, the two last offspring, a baby rathalos and rathian faunus were fully sleeping as they decided to playing as they left the nest and pushed the large door just enough for them to squeeze through as they ran off to play, but the seregios see them and followed them.
The young hatching were unaware of the danger as they kept play chasing and play fighting as the seregios was starting to close in.
The young offspring tussling and having fun but the seregios cut them off as the young faunus turn to see not their parents but a threat as the seregios let out a screeching roar as it scales rattled.
Jade and Raza sensed their children in danger left their nest and flew to find their kids but as the young wyvern faunus ran the seregios was much faster as they hatching tried to escape from the predator but one swoop of the seregios and there gone in flash.
Raza sensed it and stopped as jade see the seregios carrying off with their offsprings who were crying for help but the seregios was more than a combatants for both of them as it uses speed, agility and it's sharp scales as projectile against them, jade teared up as she and Raza lost their kids to a predator as she hugged him as he supported her.
"No words describe a mother's tears, No words can heal a broken heart"
The few day later, jade was on the outskirts of the island as as was still sadden a bit depressed from her loss of her young children and their egg hasn't hatch for a long time, she was close to giving up but back in the nest, the egg that they were raising since Hakolo island, begin to shake and crack as it was beginning to hatch.
Jade begin to sense her egg hatching as her maternal instincts start to kick in once more.
"A dream is gone, but where there's hope"
With her new bound energy, she flys off to find Raza who was hunting for aptonoth then fighting off a Grimm snake known as a king taijtu as he dodged a strike before bombarding the Grimm snake but doesn't sensed the second head about to strike when jade smacked it with her tail as she assist Raza in killing the Grimm snake, she then tell him as their egg is hatching as Raza is happy as they flying back to their cave.
"Somewhere something is calling for you, Two worlds, one family"
Raza and jade flew all the way back to the cave as they see the egg shaking and cracking as their excited to see their new daughter or son.
"Trust your heart, Let fate decide, To guide these lives we see"
The egg was shaking and cracking more and more til the egg finally hatch as it revealed to be a baby rathalos faunus with a big eggshell on its head blocking it view as Raza and jade are happy that their egg finally hatch.

"it hatched, it finally hatched sweetie!" Jade said feeling very bubbly from seeing her new son as Raza was happy as well.
"im glad, but it have a eggshell blocking it view" Raza said as he reached to pluck the egg shell from his new son's head but in doing so revealed a shocking discovery as their son's wing are black and still folded.
"our son's wing are black, that never happened before" Raza said a bit concern but jade didn't care.
"he's still our son and I love him just the way he is" jade said as their son beginning to open his eyes for the first time after being hatched.
From the baby's point of view his vision was still blurry after he hatched but after his vision begin to unblur and settling, he see his parents for the first time as they smiled at him as his mother picked him up and start giving him kisses.
"hey there sweetie, it was about time you hatched" the baby mother said to him as his father added "welcome to the world sport" his father then tickling his belly as he giggled in response as they holded him closed to their bodies and hold him as a 3rd view show jade and Raza holding their new baby boy.
"what should we name him" jade asked Raza who was thinking of a perfect name.
"how about Raza jr"
"no, one of you is enough, but what about little tim?"
"tim is too bland and boring but what about ratha after my dad?"
"i don't think that fits" jade then looked at their son's blackened wings as she thought of a wonderful name.
"how about raze?" jade suggested
"raze?" Raza wondered.
"yeah it fits him perfectly as it was like your but put a "e" instead of a "a"" jade said to Raza who liked it.
"Raze, I love it, it perfect, welcome to our world raze" Raza said as their son will grow to become something great in the future but for now they'll raise and protect him from those who would bring harm to their new son.
