Day 9 Prompt: Midnight Revelations
Takes place during Lies My Parents Told Me (7x17).
Spike was at the sink trying to rinse the principal's taste from his mouth when Buffy came in from the kitchen door.
She froze for a second, then his whole bloody world spun off its axis as she tackled him into a hug.
"I'm glad you're ok," she murmured after a while.
Her breathing had gotten shaky, and the faintest smell of tears was in the air.
Christ, she really did care for him, didn't she?
"Right now? I'm more than ok, luv," he replied, his heart swelling delightfully.
She chuckled and squeezed him harder. He rubbed her back soothingly.
In which they both realise just how much he means to her... I feel like we were robbed of this scene in season 7, so I'm taking it back for us ^^
