Sabo plopped down onto the couch, smiling at his big brother as he put the glass down and sat next to him.
"Man, Ace. You really got a place here!"
"Y-yea. It's all Marco's."
Sabo laughed at that, "In a wedding everything is shared! Now show me that ring! You must have gotten one right?"
Even if it was all fake, Ace smiled a little at the normal conversation, his brother genuinely being happy for him and he could only picture this would be so much fun if it actually was real. If he found a loving husband or wife that he wanted to spend his life with without being forced. So even with nothing being real, he held out his left hand.
A whistle came from the blond as he had taken the freckled hand, looking it over. "It's stunning."
"Yea..."
"But..." Sabo made a weird look, lightly tugging at the ring, "it looks so snug, is it not too tight?"
"No, it's... the perfect fit. Marco made sure of that."
"How did you even get it on, it doesn't look to fit over your knuckle."
"It doesn't." At the confused look, Ace explained, "it ehm, it's soldered on."
"Soldered? You can't take it off?"
Ace had a wry smile looking to the ring his brother was tugging on. "No... It's there... forever"
"Just like our love-yoi." The other blond in the house's voice broke through and Ace's hand was grabbed from Sabo. Marco raised the hand and kissed the ring, smiling lovingly at the freckled raven. "Right, my darling? There's no need to take it off since it shows our bond, our love that will last forever."
"Forever..."
Not knowing what really played behind it all, Sabo awed, "Awwww! New love is so cute!"
"My freckled love is cute."
"He is, isn't he!"
While Sabo laughed loudly, Ace cringed at the hard press to his hand and he saw the glare Marco send his brother at the compliment to him.
"M-Marco!" Ace called out quickly, making his capturer look at him in question.
"Yes, my love-yoi?"
"ehhm- ehm" gray eyes darted around, trying to find a reason to split up his younger brother and Marco without making it obvious to any of them. "Could- could you take the snacks, p-please."
"In exchange for a kiss."
As the blond leaned down, Ace pressed a small kiss to his lip, staying there longer when he felt one hand on the back of his head. As if his internal pleads were heard though, it stayed at a simple press of the lips before Marco let go and walked to the kitchen. Leaving them alone again for a minute.
"Can you imagine kisses being a currency in the real world?" Sabo suddenly spoke, "going to the grocery store and everything is priced in kisses hahaha"
"Avocados 10 kisses." Ace said without even thinking.
"Hahahahhahaah perfect price for that overpriced super food hahahaha."
With his brother Ace laughed too, a true laugh that he hadn't been able to do in a while and they got into some silly conversations together.
It does seem that unconsciously they moved closer together on the couch as not too long later the sound of something being sett down was heard, but before Ace could look a hand was around his waist and he was harshly tugged against the body he hated.
On look ofcourse showed Marco now sitting next to him on the couch and already pressing a kiss to his hairs while the hand remained firm on his hip.
"Oooh thanks Marco! It all looks really good."
With that Ace looked to the table and saw an array of items brought out to snack on.
"T-thank you M-"
"Were you not thirsty, love?"
"h-huh?"
"You said you were parched earlier-yoi. But..."
Ace trembled at the smallest edge in the voice, covered up probably only because Sabo was here.
"... you haven't touched your water yet."
"A-ahaha" Nervously the raven laughed and reached for the glass, "I-I for-got, with S-sabo being here."
He took a big sip and smiled big at Marco, overreacting in it all, "A-aaaah, that's really g-good! Thanks Marco." As he put the glass back on the table, he noticed Sabo looked at him weird. And he understood, he was acting weird and stuttering next to someone he should be married to. He wanted to speak to his brother again, but for now he was focused to make sure Marco wasn't angry anymore.
So, as he sat back down, one hand moved to cover the one on his waist gently, while the other fisted into Marco's shirt and he tried to look innocent.
He saw it as a win as blue eyes lost the danger in them and the other leaned down to press a kiss to him. "You're welcome-yoi."
Just for extra measure he gave a small nuzzle before turning back to his brother, only letting go of his shirt, the other hand firmly stayed on the other's hand as he talked to his brother and he made sure to not try and shuffle close and ofcourse accepted every snack, kiss, drink that was offered by his 'husband' through the whole conversation.
Far, far too soon evening neared and it would soon be time for dinner and Ace wasn't sure if Sabo could stay... if Marco would allow for Sabo to stay longer. He didn't know if he should try to get Sabo to leave or not.
Rushing him out would give a bad impression of them, that would be bad for Marco since it would raise suspicion and well... the blond wouldn't want that.
But Ace was fully sure that Marco also wouldn't want Sabo to stay any second longer than he planned or he would be angry after he left.
In the midst of his internal battle, it was ofcourse his own brother that knew him inside out that something was amiss.
"Is everything okay, Ace?" Sabo asked concerned, "Are you still feeling sick from the flu?"
"Flu?" Ace blinked slowly. He hadn't been sick in a long time, why would Sabo think that. "I haven't-"
"Are you feeling sick?"
With a quick movement Ace was pulled onto Marco's lap and a hand was on his cheek and turning his face to the blond. Blue eyes inspecting him as the hand moved, stroking over his cheek to feel on his forehead.
"N-no, I'm okay."
"Baby-yoi. If you-"
"I'm okay." he interrupted before he realized he interrupted Marco and he sweat dropped, "I-I'm sorry. I'm just... I'm hungry."
Both blonds were silent before Sabo laughed loudly and Marco smiled softly, pressing a long kiss to Ace's lips before speaking. "I will make y-"
"I'll call for take-out!" Sabo already had his phone out and Ace's head wipped over. Take-out. Someone would come over. Someone else that Marco didn't control. Someone to save him... but Marco could take Sabo out before he could call- before help could come- before-
"Marco's a good cook! He'll make something!"
"huh- oh okay! I didn't know if you were prepared for me to eat over or not haha, if you have enough I would like to try your cooking, Marco."
Unreadable eyes looked Sabo over before they went back to Ace, pulling the raven close and words were whispered that he didn't hear. Not too long later Ace was put back down onto the couch and Marco stood up and went to the kitchen.
Sabo scratched his head, "Sorry. Didn't mean to invite myself over... that's rude of me... Ace?"
His name being called snapped him out of his little scared trance and even as trembling he smiled, "I-it's okay. I love you 'bo. You're welcome to stay."
"I love you too, Ace." Sabo smiled and leaned in to hug his brother, "ah I missed you so much. You sure you're feeling okay, you're a little paler the usual."
As the hug ended Ace nodded, "yea... just haven't been outside much lately."
"Ooooh! We gotte plan something together! Maybe go on walks- we could go to our forest! It would be so much fun-"
"Ace-yoi. Help me?"
The voice that interrupted sounded sweet, but Ace knew better and he was soon jumping up, "coming! Sorry Sabo, I'm just going to help Marco with cooking!"
"That's okay! Tell me if you need another pair of hands!" Sabo smiled even if Ace waved him off, watching the raven almost run to the other. Marco immediately had a hand around his big brother and pulled him close, kissing him too. Marco was really touchy to Ace, but Sabo guessed it was normal, they hadn't been together too long, married even less. So it was still new love. Still some things were weird, his brother seemed nervous... he giggled at that though. His big strong brother got nervous being with his love. So cute.
Dinner went surprisingly well, maybe it was because there was a full table between Sabo and him and Marco so they weren't too close together. And it was difficult to speak a lot while eating too, so the conversations were simple.
When the time came for goodbye, it pulled at Ace's heartstring. Sabo was leaving. Leaving him here. But it was better, better like this. Sabo was about to leave. Leave the dangers of this house.
"Stay well Ace! We should meet up again s- ooooooooooh I totally forgot to ask for your phone-number!"
Ace grew nervous as Sabo whipped out his cell-phone while they were close to the front door, because...
"What is it? Then we can call and text every day!"
"I... don't have one."
"0-0- huh? You don't have one? You've been out of the orphanage a while, I thought you would have gotten one by now."
He would love a phone... could have called for help so many times already then... But Marco doesn't allow it... "I ehm I use Marco's... if I need it..." when he's allowed to... which is never... besides the odd call when Sabo called without notice this passed week.
"hhuh okay." Sabo scratched his head as he put his phone away. "I'll call Marco then when I need you. Maybe we can go phone shopping together! Would be a fun get-together and it would be easier for us to call, you know, discuss things." Sabo winked and nudged him and Ace couldn't help but chuckle. Ofcourse his brother would want to gossip about his love life and other things.
The chuckle seemed to be enough for Sabo as the moved further to the front door. Lucky because he had no idea what to react to that as Marco for sure wouldn't want him to have a phone.
"Bye Sabo..." he said softly when the door opened and he made sure to stay a step behind Marco as the blond had seemed to position his body on purpose like that.
"..."
"Gah!"
"Don't be saaaad!" His brother's voice echoed in his ear as he was hugged tightly suddenly, but before he could hold on the other already pulled back with a big smile, "Now we've found ech other we'll make sure to see each other lots and lots!Right?!"
"Yea... that would be nice. Thank you Sabo... Be safe going home."
"I will! I'll send a text when I get there. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
As Ace waved to his leaving brother, the door closed the second Sabo turned around. The temperature around him immediately seemed to drop. Back to his now usual world... Atleast it had been a fun and magical afternoon...
I may speed things up... or well, I still have stuff planned with Ace. But I probably won't really write out any more visits with Sabo there. I feels to me like I'm stretching out the story beyond what it needs to be. Even some things I have planned with Ace I was thinking of skipping... But I also wanne do it... I'll need to see! But I'm pretty sure I'll just be flying over visits of Sabo and not really writing them out. They not the most important.
