My Little Girl-Ch 10
As the family cookout continued Penelope glanced over her shoulder and saw Derek holding Jazzy, they were beside Clooney who was wagging his tail at the little girl as she gently rubbed his head, she couldn't resist pulling out her cell and snapping a couple of pictures.
JJ said, "awwww, now that's adorable", Penelope said, "Derek's amazing, it's obvious that he loves her as much as she loves him, he's gonna make a great daddy", Fran said, "he already is" causing JJ and Penelope to look at her.
Penelope said, "they are so cute together, I mean just look how she looks up at him with nothing but love and trust in her eyes", Fran said, "Derek loves that little girl and her momma both with all of his heart and he'd do anything to keep you both safe, we all would". JJ nodded her head yes in agreement with what Fran had just said.
Emily, Sarah and Desi walked over to join the conversation, Sarah sat down beside Penelope and said, "sooooooo not being nosy or anything but have you and my brother done the deed yet?", Penelope spit her lemonade out and started coughing. Fran said, "Sarahhhhhh, look at what you've done" as she patted Penelope on the back and said, "are you alright honey?", Penelope nodded her head and said, "I'm fine, I'm fine".
Emily said, "wellllllll, are you going to answer the girl?", Penelope shook her head and said, "no, no not yet", Desi said, "woman, what are you waiting on?", Penelope said, "well with work and Jazzy, we just don't have any time to be alone, not that I'm complaining because I'm not, I love my life and I wouldn't change a thing about it".
Fran said, "wellllll, now that you and my son are dating things will move pretty fast", Penelope said, "move, pretty, fast?", Fran nodded her head and said, "yes mam, I'd say before too long that my son will propose to you soooooooooo, how about Dave and I watch our beautiful granddaughter for the night so that mommy and daddy can have some time alone?", Penelope glanced over her shoulder at Derek and then back at Fran and said, "it's okay with me if it's okay with Derek".
The girls all grinned as Fran said, "baby boy?", he looked up and said, "yes momma?", she said, "can Dave and I keep Jazzy tonight?", Derek said, "it's fine with me if it's okay with sweetness", Fran grinned at Penelope and said, "see, easy peasy" causing Penelope to smile. Derek then walked over to the women and said, "sooooo, what's going on with you wanting to keep Jazzy all of a sudden?", Fran said, "well mommy and daddy never get to have any time alone sooooo nana and nonno are going to help out in that department tonight".
Derek grinned and kissed his mother on the cheek and said, "thank you momma", she smiled at her son and said, "you are very welcome honey", Derek then kissed his girlfriend and said, "I better get back to Jazzy, pretty boy is telling her about Dr. Who and we all know how that's gonna end". They then all turned as Jazzy laughed and clapped her little hands at what Reid had said, "Derek said, "oh no, another one lost to Dr, Who", everybody laughed and nodded their heads yes in agreement as they watched Derek walk back over to rejoin the men and Jazzy.
