My Little Girl-Ch 24
Gretchen looked at Derek and Penelope and said, "since Jasmine is yours now I see no reason why you can't adopt her", she then looked at Hotch and said, "agent Hotchner, I think you should have your client here submit her papers for legal adoption as soon as possible".
Hotch said, "yes mam, thank you mam", Gretchen smiled at the happy little family and said, "ohhh and please submit them to me and I'll make sure to push things through a little faster", he nodded his head and said, "yes mam I'll have those papers submitted to you as soon as possible".
Gretchen walked over to Jasmine and touched her little face and said, "happy birthday little one, I wish you a life filled with love, peace and joy and from the looks of the amazing people around you I don't think that's going to be any problem at all".
She then said, "thank you for the invitation to the party and I'll see you tomorrow", Penelope said, "thank you for coming mam", Gretchen said, "please call me Gretchen", Penelope said, "I will, if you will call me Penelope", she said, "you have yourself a deal Penelope", she then smiled and waved at the rest of the family before making her way across the room with Daniel and Rosemary behind her.
When it was just the family Reid said, "it's a good thing that you had those cameras installed", Dave said, "I thought that they might come in handy", Penelope walked over and kissed him on the cheek and said, "that they did papa bear, that they did".
Derek looked down at his daughter and said, "it's still this little one's birthday sooooooo how about we partyyyyyyy?", Jasmine clapped her hands and squealed letting her daddy know that she liked that idea, so for the next few hours the family, laughed, ate and played with the birthday girl until she was put down for the night.
Since the wedding was the next day everybody had agreed to stay the night at casa Rossi so it would be easier on them on Derek and Penelope's big day, a day that was far over do for the will they won't they couple of the decade.
When it came bedtime Dave and the other men headed to the pool house while Jack and Henry decided to stay in the house with their mothers, the women who were exhausted soon headed to their bedrooms to get a good nights sleep after a long and amazing day.
Before turning in Penelope looked down in the portable crib that was beside her bed and said, "good night baby girl, mommy and daddy love you so much, we love you more than you'll ever ever know", she then leaned down and kissed the sleeping child on the top of the head before climbing into her own bed and soon drifting off to sleep.
