One World: Many Souls
Chapter 47: Passing the Green Thumb
Angel's Point of View:
"Mommy! Mommy!"
"I'm out in the garden, Pristi!"
On a rare day off from work in my office or out and about, I was enjoying some work in the gardens that I spent so many hours in when I was a child with my mother. Her butterfly gardens were her favorite where bushes and weeds sometimes grew wild with color and fluttering pollinators of all kinds.
I was cleaning out some dead leaves and stems when my youngest came to my side to lean against my hip after plopping herself upon the earth. "What'cha doin'?"
I smiled at her as I was there under the beautiful sun. So bright and warm I needed a hat that day to protect my scalp. "Cleaning out the gardens. Do you want to help me?"
Her eyes brightened at that. "Can I?
I couldn't help but smile at the combination of what she was. She was a rare one out of my children who didn't possess the stunning strawberry eyes I'd obtained after my merging of my soul to Sans many years ago. Hers and Joker's were the different ones. Joker was an ocean blue that reflected back just as deeply as his father's when he used magic and Pristina was almost like her wonderful grandmother who had that beautiful purple. It reminded me of a rich flower's hue, shades of the petals in her eyes. Or perhaps a jewel would have been more accurate? They glittered like an amethyst stone at times.
"Come here baby bone, Mommy is going to need some help getting rid of all these leaves. We need to put them in the trash." I carefully wrapped up a bag to my side full of the dead flowers, sticks and debris that needed to be thrown. "Help me carry the bag, okay?"
"I can do it Mommy!" Pristina grinned at me. "I can make it go 'poof'!"
"Poof?" I blinked at her. My eyes widened after a few minutes, suspecting what she was talking about. She was at the ripe age of seven then... "What do you mean? Did you happen to discover your magic?"
"Yeah! Watch me Mommy!"
And in a flash of purple smoke, my daughter and the trash I had in my hands was gone.
Oh no... She had magic like Sans!
"Pristi!" My voice echoed out over the grounds. I couldn't see her, Sans told me that one of the kids could have the ability... but I didn't think it would happen after so many years... "Pristina! Where are you!?"
"Mommy?" From around the house, about fifty feet away she poked her head from where our trash bucks were kept. I saw her there without the bag then and she stepped around. "What's wrong?"
"Pristina!" The relief I felt in my soul seeing her unharmed almost brought me to my knees. My magic launched me toward her and my daughter cried out in surprise as she was surrounded by chains so she couldn't leave without me. "Are you hurt?! Where in the world did you learn this?!"
"No! I'm not hurt!" Pristina pouted at me. "And I learned how to go poof like Daddy a while ago. But I'm being careful! I only go a little bit as I learned! I promise! I know you and Daddy always told us to be careful with magic."
"T-that's right, baby bone..." I couldn't help but sigh at her, seeing that she did appear okay. I felt over her arms, her face, her stomach, everywhere I could. "You're sure you never were hurt?"
"Yes Mommy. I don't poof very far since it gives me a headache. I'm doing it a little bit so it doesn't hurt."
"Good, good. I wish you would have told me sooner, Pristina." With a sigh, I leaned back a bit and my magic settled down. "Daddy and I could have helped you practice. Going 'poof' is Daddy's magic, and he could give you secret tips."
"But I wanted to surprise Daddy... and you!" Pristina pouted at me. "I wanted to show you how special I am..."
"Baby bone... of course you're special!" I tilted my head at her. "Why wouldn't you be?"
"Cuz everyone else is better than me..."
"What? Are you talking about your siblings?" At my words, my little girl nodded. "Oh Pristi... baby bone, your siblings are older, and have had more time to practice then you. You're still little. You just need more time. I'm... I'm honestly amazed at how much you can do on your own, but please... be careful and chat with your father before you do more magic, okay? I think you should have some lessons with your father so he can help you be as special as we know you will be."
"Really?" Pristina pouted at me, wiggling under my gaze. "Do you mean that Mommy?"
"Of course!" I smiled at her brightly. "In fact, let's call Daddy now, okay?"
"We can?"
"Daddy will always make time for us. And Mommy will too. But you have to tell us. We don't know if you don't tell us."
"Okay..."
Third Person Point of View: (Later On)
It was months later after Luke escaped from the Masato territory before he finally managed to make it to Terians territory, and then make it to the so called base that they were to stay at. After spending many days and nights in random hotels, motels or in the van, to make sure and stay out of the view of many law enforcement that were looking out for him. Everywhere was on high alert, and he was worried as he passed the border as so many people looked into the van to check the occupants for him.
Luke had been layered in makeup to hide his distorted features and help hide him, along with dying of his hair and contacts. His messed up teeth were nothing too standout-ish compared to the facial features and hair. The doctor hardly had to change his appearance, but Mettaton actually hid her body in pieces around the van, while her ghost sat among then. He had no idea she was a ghost monster... but damn...
No one batted an eye at the group of them while a driver took them into the very outer areas of Terians land to the northwest. Along the coast and away from most people and towns, sat a lonely large cottage four floors high and very wide at the base. The water was choppy and no boats around other than the one docked as they were finally allowed out of their mobile home and into the elements.
Luke stretched his muscles as he stood for the first time in hours before marching up to the double doors. They opened for him as butlers held open that grand entrance to allow him in. The home was rather spacious, extravagant, with expensive looking items around displayed like a museum. Paintings were displayed all around of figure heads that most likely had been there in the past.
But what surprised Luke the most was that most of those figure heads represented were that of house Terians.
Showing himself around without the help of his companions, Luke found his way into a rather massive dining room that appeared to be turned into a meeting space. A large whiteboard was placed at the head of the table that presented that of the women who Luke truly despised, Angel and Frisk Terians.
It was strange to see that of their family tree that was displayed so easily for all to see with a large dome of windows to the back that showed the choppy sea. He focused in on the names of those alive, those that had been born since he was incarcerated, and the partnerships made as well. Their family was… well, massive. Between Angel and Frisk alone, there were nine heirs to the Terians house, and three to the throne of the monster people. Luke could hardly believe it as he looked over it all.
"I should have known I'd find you here."
Luke carefully turned his head to see the same hooded figure standing there as she was in previous screens showing her. Covered in a cloak and red eyes glowing from under it all as she moved into the room, eagerly sitting at the head of the table with her fingers crossed, waiting for him.
"Wonderful to finally meet you, darling." Mettaton strolled in next, taking the seat easily to her right. Bringing out her packet of smokes, she showed it before pulling one out. "I'm assuming you'd rather I not smoke in here?"
"Please."
With that, the woman put away her cancerous sticks as she waited for Luke and the doctor. Easily the older male took a seat across from Mettaton, leaving a final seat for Luke beside the monster woman. He sat, leaned back in his chair and sighed.
"I know that the journey has been long and you all are in need of rest, but I wished to get at least some of the basics out of the way to prepare you three for what's to come." The hooded woman stood from her chair and made her way to the whiteboard, eager to show off pictures of the known family members of the Terians family that were alive. "It will be difficult to kill Victoria, even in her older age. It appears she has spirits attached to her, those of the deceased of others of Terians house members, like that of Angel Terians, which gives her more strength than normal. I would avoid her if at all able, since with time, she will die out. She's already in her seventies, almost eighties."
"The main focus of our efforts will be that of Angel Terians, along with her husband, Sans Gaster Terians, and Frisk Terians Dreemurr, and her husband, Asriel Dreemurr, along with all nine children they bore together. They are the young generation that will be planned to take over once the last of the older generation goes. All four of them are powerful, even more so since merging souls with one another. Their abilities are far beyond what that of only a human or a monster could handle on their own. Which is why we'll be counting on your research, Dr. Baldeth, to increase our odds of fighting against them. Or finding underhanded methods to take them out."
"What do we know yet of their magic styles and what they can create?" Our good doctor asked, eager with a pen and paper in hand, laptop at the ready.
"Angel and Frisk both harbor magic of the Terians family, which is that of chains. One power that Angel has, but Frisk does not, however, is the ability to use the souls attached to her own upon their death. She will be the harder of the two to deal with. As for their husbands, Sans we hardly know much about other than his ability to teleport and use bone magic. Anything beyond that has yet to reach our hands. Same with that of the king, his magic is fire, but that is all that is stated. Public files and constant images streamed from many different aspects of social media is how we were able to find out those beyond that of the Terians' family. We have also found records and proof of the four eldest of Angel's children, Eras, Arial, Calibri and Constantina, all appear to have inherited their mother's magic. Their younger two, Jokerman and Pristina, have yet to present their magic publicly. This is the same for those of Frisk's triplet children, Rosalie, Orchid and Ashland."
"How interesting…" Mettaton hummed, a hand of her holding up her chin when she leaned against the table. "I imagine it will take quite some time to come up with a creative plan that allows us to hit them all. What exactly do you have in mind?"
"Each of your abilities is unique. Mettaton, with you being as popular as you are, it wouldn't be hard to gather the attention of many people, some of those people will listen to you no matter what. For those who don't… well… that's what Luke is for. His unique magic to take over the entire soul of someone and control them… I'm eager to see just how many you can control at once."
"Now I got my questions." It was Luke's turn to face the hooded figure who stood before them. With his arms crossed, he narrowed his eyes. "I'm glad you got me out, and I'll help you since I hate this family. I'll take possession of as many people as you can get me to do as much damage as possible, but there are two things that I have to have."
The woman nodded to him. "Very well. Go on."
"First off, Frisk is mine." Luke's possessive snarl came from his mouth while he struggled not to slam his fist into the table. "She has to be mine to toy with while the rest of the family is killed, and she's for me to take out. I don't care how you do it, but that's the thing I need the most to agree to this."
"You do know how difficult that will be, yes? Frisk is not the same as she used to be." The woman tilted her head from under her hood. Only her eyes showed it as she watched the young male. "Frisk is now not only a respected queen, but she has also increased her magical power. Mettaton, you can attest to this, yes?"
"I can, darling." Mettaton sighed, an irritated brow of her's rising up in frustration. "I attempted to go back to the father of my baby, Papyrus, and she was sent instead, mimicking his speech. I was hoping to use said baby to boost my popularity, but it turned out that boy showed more of my genetics then I was hoping for. Frisk in response also encased the entire building in her magical chains to keep me from leaving. I'm sure she could have done some real damage at the time. She's recovered quite a bit. And even with news of you getting out, I'm sure she's preparing herself for the day she does find you."
"Well said." The hooded woman nodded before turning her attention back to Luke. "If it was that simple, I wouldn't have any problems with allowing that, but the best I can offer you is giving you every chance to get back at her and take her out. You only have an entire kingdom and nation against you."
Luke scowled at that. It certainly wasn't going to be an easy task if Frisk changed as much as they were talking about. And being the queen? Even he wasn't guessing that the scrawny teen brat he liked was going to become a goddamn queen.
"Fine. Just give me any chance you can. Kidnap a kid of hers or something to bring her out of hiding or whatever."
"Very well. And your other questions?"
"Just two others." Luke clarified to her. "Who the hell are you? And why do you have such beef with the Terians family?"
"Beef? Huh... I suppose that's one way to put my family's entire reason for living." The hooded woman hummed before she reached some pale hands out of her hood to bring back the fabric. Once the blackness was gone that covered her, the group could see the brown hair that sat upon her scalp, actually resembling a bit of Angel Terians herself with the long ponytail, glowing red eyes of malice, and similar facial structure, other than a deep gash like scar along her cheek. "I apologize for not introducing myself earlier. My name... is Silke Terians, from the branch family of the Terians household. And it's my life mission, to destroy the main branch and take its place."

(The transmission is rough and words coming through are few and far in-between. After waiting a few minutes and hearing a sound akin to kicking, the transmission clears up and the faces of Halloween and Mystic Girl appear in a much smaller bunker than they have been seen in before. Both girls look like they have been through the ringer as they are covered in mud with a few wounds on each of them. Just barely can the outlines of Jager and Mystic Man be seen as well cleaning themselves off.)
Halloween Witch: God damn it, can anyone hear me?
Mystic Girl: Have you got that transmission working yet? Where are the others?
Halloween Witch: I'm working on it! Last I looked, you suck at computer shit, so don't get on my case!
Mystic Girl: Excuse you! You don't need to be a bitch when I'm just worried. And just for the record, that wasn't my security system that failed.
Halloween Witch: Oh, fuck you! I'd like to see you do better next time!
Mystic Girl: Oh, I certainly could if it wasn't for your fucking ego wedged right up-
(The girls are cut off as beeping goes off on the more ancient looking monitor they had. They both go quiet as they look over to see what headed their way.)
Halloween Witch: Holy shit! It's a signal from Chaos! Wait, it just... is it in another fucking dimension? I don't know how the hell to match up with him on this. His signal is gone now and I only have a last known location. Fuck... and Dasansi is in the same boat with his wacky crew of Roland and Oliver, his signal appeared underground before vanishing as well.
Mystic Girl: (Hanging over my shoulder, she looks closely to what came in.) What the hell is that message? Is it from Chaos?
Halloween Witch: Maybe... it's heavily encrypted, so I'm not sure what we'll get from it. I'll see if Jager and Mystic Man can take a crack at it once we get set up here. The computers are going to need some work. We can get signals in, but not out at the moment. And even what we're getting doesn't seem great... but at least he's alive...
Mystic Girl: Did any others come in?
Halloween Witch: Let's see... I see a faint one from Shadow... looks like he's actually using his gift to blend in with the shadows to avoid detection. Even the computer is having a hard time keeping up with his signal with the pin we gave him.
Mystic Girl: Okay... we'll have to get a signal out to him. I'll see what I can do on this side.
Halloween Witch: Please do. Wait! I see a signal from River too! Holy shit they're still outside the old base!
Mystic Girl: Well message them damn it! Tell them to get out of there!
Halloween Witch: What part of "The computers are going to need some work. We can get signals in, but not out at the moment," did you not FUCKING understand!? Plus, I have no signal from Shady or Dasansi... I have no idea what fucking happened to them.
Mystic Girl: Okay! Fine, fine, fine! I get it! Sorry! But what the fuck do we do?!
Halloween Witch: Fix our back up shit and try to get everyone out of there... but we'll need a new encrypted code and signal... Mystic Boy is on the old channel...
Mystic Girl: Fuck that's right... she sold us out! What the fuck?
Halloween Witch: Look, we knew she was in a bad place for a while... we can't decide right now what we need to do with her until we gather the others, kick those fuckers out of our base, and then deal with this shit... and you know its going to be a while...
Mystic Girl: Fuck...
(The signal then begins to get dim and difficult to register as the girls are seen working on their faulty old equipment. Eventually the signal dies entirely, leaving nothing to be traced back.)
