"Its not exactly an alien Ax. It's a baby." Lucas replied.
"I don't get it. So this baby is in momma's tummy."
"That's silly daddy." Axel replied.
"It's true. The baby is going to grow and move around."
"And eventually be born." Lucas explained.
"You see it's like baking with grandma Karen when the cookie grow and get big in the oven." Lucas added in.
"So who put the cookies in momma's oven?" Axel asked.
"Alright boys time to get a bath. Clean up after a long day." Brooke announced. As she held Emmett by the hand.
"I'll start dinner. Noodles. And other stuff." Lucas said.
"No meat please." Brooke replied.
Brooke's morning sickness and heightened sense of smell.
Was making daily meals a challenge lately.
"Momma how did the cookie get in you're oven?" Axel asked.
"I'm not baking cookies honey." Brooke replied.
"Daddy said there's an alien in you're tummy. That its a baby." Axel replied.
As they headed upstairs.

Awhile Later
"He's handsome. Cooks well and loves being a daddy and husband."
"I mean what more could a woman want." Brooke proclaimed.
As her and Lucas made it into the hallway after tucking in their sons for bed after dinner.
"Now cookies and ovens. Aliens and babies. Axel was very curious today. What's that about.?" Brooke asked. Once they got to their room.
"See my ultrasound copy fell out of my pocket and he had all these questions. So i came up with answers that only seemd to make him more curious." Lucas explained.
"Well i think i'll talk to him and give some clarity. Or maybe i'll come up with a story of my own."
"We want the boys to feel free and open to ask questions and be curious. It'll only help the older they get." Brooke replied.
"These are the easy years just wait until their pre teens. Hormones. Girls. That's when it starts. We will really be on the edge then." Lucas proclaimed.
"They are never dating ever. " Brooke replied.
"Their Scott boys. They are going to attract attention." Lucas replied.

Days Later
"You decided to pick our life in LA to move here. The middle of nowhere. Mayberrry North Carolina."
"Honestly Nate this is cute for a weekend. I don't see us living here." Alex Dupre proclaimed.
"You'll like it here. You can live a normal life without people bothering you."
"Plus i missed it here. I grew up here. My friends are here. My parents. People i never wanted to leave behind." Nathan said.

When i got a phone call from a number i didn't recognize i knew it was him.
Hearing his voice after all this time was strange.
He sounded familiar yet foreign.
"We'll meet at the River Walk." We agreed.

Seeing him not in my memories but in front of him. Was a feeling i couldn't place. For so long Nathan was my touch stone and now he was a stranger. And something about that made me sad.
"Brookie." Nathan said softly.
"I've missed you alot." Nathan added in.
