F: GL

F: GL!

F: GL!

GL: What? I'm a little busy here.

F: Dude, I think we have a big problem.

GL: Now what did you dream up?

F: I resent that. I didn't dream this up. It's real!

GL: What is it?

F: I think BM is cheating on Wondy!

GL: Not happening.

F: What do you mean?

GL: BM would never cheat on Wondy.

F: But it's true!

GL: OK, let's for one second say it's true. What evidence do you have?

F: He's been super secretive lately. He's been absent from the 'Tower & Founders' meetings for the last month.

GL: He's probably tied up with a case in Gotham.

F: No, it's something else. He's been asking around the 'Tower for stuff & I overheard him talking to a woman while on monitor duty yesterday.

GL: So what?

F: There is something definitely wrong. I think he has a girlfriend on the side.

GL: You are fishing for something that isn't there.

F: Think about it. Wondy seems pretty lonely lately.

GL: You're crazy, man. They're engaged. BM would not propose to Wondy & then cheat on her.

F: Well, I'm looking into it.

GL: You do that. In the meantime, keep your suspicions to yourself. Don't start stirring up trouble where there is none. You're the reason the rumor mill is on overload.

F: Who? ME?

GL: Exactly.

XXX

HG: How's it going?

WW: Okay, how are you?

HG: Are you sure you're, okay?

WW: Yes, why?

HG: Oh, nothing. You just seem a little down lately.

WW: Just been busy.

HG: How are the wedding plans going?

WW: They're kind of on hold right now.

HG: What? Why? Did that jerk do something to you? I'll kill him!

WW: There's just been a lot going on right now.

HG: Diana! Is something going on that you're not telling me?

WW: No, we're just not rushing into getting married. We're taking our time & enjoying being engaged.

HG: If you say so.

WW: You sound like you don't believe me.

HG: He better treat you right or he'll have to answer to me.

WW: LOL! BM is fine. I'm fine. We're both fine. I promise.

HG: Okay, see you at the meeting this afternoon.

WW: See you then.

XXX

HG: Something is wrong!

GL: Oh no, not you, too! *slaps forehead*

F: I told you! I told you! I told you! There is trouble in paradise. Do you believe me now?

GL: No, I still don't.

HG: WW seems kind of down. They've put their wedding plans on hold.

F: NOOOO! Say it ain't so!

GL: I'm sure they have a good reason. They're still engaged, aren't they?

HG: WW said they were. She said they were both busy right now & weren't in a rush to get married.

F: I think it's BM. He's cheating on Wondy.

GL: I think you're losing it.

F: Just watch them. You'll notice something is wrong too.

GL: *eye roll*

HG: I agree.

GL: *headache*

Flash and Green Lantern sat in the cafeteria arguing over lunch about who was going to win the basketball tournament. Each swore they knew who was going to win, spouting stats in an effort to make their case.

"I still think that…wait," Flash began only to stop as he pointed at the door. "Batman is here."

"So?" John said with a shrug of his shoulders. "He's probably coming to the meeting this afternoon."

"Wondy is over there at that table by herself," Flash pointed out. "Let's see if he talks to her."

Green Lantern shook his head as he reached for his drink. "You need some serious help, man."

They watched as Diana looked up to see her fiancé striding through the cafeteria, the corners of her lips curling slightly. Batman appeared to completely ignore her, walking right past her without a word or a pause in his step. He went directly for the coffee, getting himself a large cup before turning and leaving the same way.

"See? See?" Flash said with a conspiratorial air as he leaned in towards his friend across the table from him. "I told you. Look how sad Wondy looks now. There is something going on."

"It is a little odd that Batman didn't even acknowledge her," John was forced to admit. "Maybe he didn't see her."

Flash snorted in amusement. "Yeah, right," he countered. "Bats ALWAYS knows where Wondy is. Always. He's up to no good."

"Why do you automatically think he's the one doing something wrong?" he demanded to know. "Couldn't it be Diana?"

Flash's lips thinned as he pursed them in disagreement. "Nah, it's Bats. It's always the man. Besides, he is known as the billionaire playboy of Gotham."

"That's just a fake reputation," he reminded him. "Besides, he's not been that way since he's been with Diana."

"How do you know?"

"How do you he's not been faithful?"

"I'm going to go talk to Wondy…see what I can find out."

"Leave her alone," John told him.

"She might need a shoulder to cry on."

With that, Flash was gone in a blur of red, leaving John shaking his head in dismay. "This has complete disaster written all over it."

"Hey, Wondy!" Flash cheerfully greeted her as he took the seat across from her. "Care if I join you?"

"Sure," she said with a nod, a sad smile on her face as she set her cell phone aside.

"Is something wrong?" he asked with genuine concern. "What happened? Did Bruce do something?"

"Bruce has to go on a business trip for a couple of days."

"A 'business trip'," Flash repeated, using air quotes. "I'll bet. Jerk."

"What?"

"Oh, nothing," he brushed it off. "Where is Bruce going?"

"He didn't say," she replied. "He just said he'd be gone for a couple of days."

Flash's anger began to rise with the thought of Bruce hurting his friend. He suddenly stood up, the palms of his hands planted firmly on the table. "I forgot," he said. "I need to talk to Bats. I'll see you later."

"Oh…okay," she murmured, playing with the straw of her iced mocha.

Before she could say anymore, he was gone.

XXX

BM: I need to leave on an unexpected business trip for a couple of days. I'll be back as soon as I can.

SM: Okay, I'll let you know how the Founders' meeting goes this afternoon.

BM: Diana can fill me in.

F: So where is this business trip of yours?

BM: It's not something I can discuss.

F: I'll bet not!

BM: What?

GL: Ignore him. Have a safe trip.

MM: Diana told me she'd cover your monitor duty shift tomorrow morning.

F: That's kind of her considering everything!

BM: Considering what? What is wrong with you?

GL: He needs a girlfriend…badly.

F: I do. I really do. I've been rather lonely lately & I…wait, that's not the point!

BM: What is the point?

SM: I'm so confused.

MM: I must leave this conversation. My supply of Oreos has just arrived.

GL: How are things with WW, Bats?

BM: Fine.

F: Doesn't sound fine.

BM: Do you have something you want to say to me?

F: Actually, I have a lot to—

GL: No, we're fine. Have a good trip. We'll see you when you get back.

BM: *angry face emoji*

SM: Is something going on that I need to know about?

SM: Hello?

SM: Anyone?

SM: Guys?

SM: Never mind.

"Did you have to kick me in the shin so hard?" Flash whined as he rubbed his foreleg.

"Someone had to shut you up before you got yourself killed," John said with a scowl. "You do not cross Batman and you definitely don't cross Batman when it comes to Diana. I would've thought you would've learned that by now."

"Yeah, but someone has to stand up for poor Wondy!" Wally exclaimed.

John frowned at him as he turned to walk away. "I'm pretty certain Wondy can stand up for herself. She did beat the crap out of Supes once, remember?"

A smile spread across Flash's face as fell in step with his friend. "Oh, yeah," he replied. "I forgot about that."

"Hey, did you find Batman?" Diana asked as she approached the pair.

"What?" Flash questioned her.

"You said you wanted to talk to Batman while we were in the cafeteria," she reminded him.

"Oh, uh…no," he stammered. "I couldn't find him."

"He's standing right behind you," she pointed out. "I'll see you later."

The trio watched her walk away, Flash suddenly finding himself frozen with fear. "Uh, hiya, Bats," he squeaked out, turning around to find a fierce scowl on the Dark Knight's cowled face.

"What were you insinuating in that text?" he growled.

"Nothing…nothing at all," Flash claimed, suddenly losing his nerve. "I just wanted to make sure everything was good with you and Wondy."

Batman leaned in close, invading Wally's personal space. "Diana and I are none of your concern."

"Right that," Flash agreed with a nod, shrinking back. "We'll take good care of Wondy while you're gone."

A low growl passed Batman's lips as he finally allowed more distance between them. "Diana is fine. She can take care of herself."

With that, Batman stormed away, clearly unhappy with Flash's meddling. John crossed his arms against his chest as they watched the Dark Knight leave. "Did I not warn you?"

Flash straightened up, finding a renewed sense of confidence now that Batman was gone. "I don't care what he says," he told him. "I'm going to get to the bottom of this."

"What are you going to do now?"

"I have no idea."

WW: Is something wrong with Wally?

SM: Isn't there always?

WW: LOL! He's been acting extra strange lately.

SM: I thought he was acting weird earlier too, but I have no idea what's going on. He seemed mad at BM.

WW: You usually are the last to know.

SM: Not. My. Fault.

WW: JK

SM: *sigh* It's true.

WW: It's just because you're so sweet & unassuming.

SM: I'll check on him. So, Bruce is going on a trip?

WW: A business trip.

SM: He wouldn't say where.

WW: I need to go. TTYL…

SM: Diana?

SM: Hello?

SM: Never mind.

"Hey! Flash!"

Flash whirled around to find Superman approaching. "Hey, Supes," he said. "I don't have time right now. I'm on a mission. Very busy. Gotta go."

Superman reached out and grabbed hold of his shoulder to keep him in place. "What is going on with you?"

"What do you mean?"

"You've been acting strange lately," Superman told him. "You're antagonizing Batman for starters. Do you have a death wish?"

"No, there's something going on with him" Flash softly said.

"Like what?" the Man of Steel asked, giving him a skeptical look.

"I think he's cheating on Wondy."

Superman's eyes narrowed in fury at the very thought. "What makes you think that?"

"He's been missing meetings," he said, ticking them off on his fingers. "He's not been around much for the last month. Wondy looks sad and lonely."

Superman shook his head with a frown. "Batman always disappears for periods of time. He probably has a case in Gotham."

"No, there's more," Flash revealed. "I overheard him asking questions around the 'Tower yesterday morning and then he disappeared into his lab. He locked himself in there for hours and now, he has to go on this mysterious business trip?"

"And that means he has a secret girlfriend?" he questioned him. "That's ridiculous. Bruce is smart enough not to cheat on a woman who could literally kill him with the flick of her finger."

"Still, something is up," Flash said. "Bats secured a Javelin for this 'business trip' he's going on."

Superman paused with this bit of information. "That is strange. It's not for Wayne Enterprises then."

"I know!" Flash exclaimed. "He's up to something I tell you."

"Maybe he's getting something special for Diana?"

"No, I overheard him talking to another woman yesterday," he insisted.

"Maybe J'onn knows something. Let's check with him.

SM: Do you know what's going on with BM?

MM: Excuse me?

F: Come on, MM! Bats is up to something. I have a feeling you know what it is.

MM: I might, but I'm not at liberty to speak about it.

F: No! You have to talk about it!

MM: I believe I do not.

SM: It's okay, MM. It's none of our business anyway.

F: YES IT IS! Wondy's heart is going to be broken. We must prevent it!

MM: What is our young friend talking about?

SM: He's just being dramatic.

F: *cries* Poor Wondy!

MM: I'd be more than happy to schedule you for a counseling session, Flash.

F: Wait, what? Why?

SM: I think it's quite obvious…

Bruce and Diana stood next to each other as they checked out the newest addition to their bedroom in the manor. "Well, we can only hope this works," he told her. "I'm out of ideas after this."

Diana couldn't help but snicker as they stared at the new king-sized bed. "I can't believe you went to so much trouble for this."

Bruce snorted as his muscular arms folded against his chest. "I had to do something," he told her. "We've broken five beds already. At this rate, I'll go broke just buying new beds and headboards."

"The headboards were not my fault," she claimed as she turned to face him, pointing an accusing finger at him.

He gave her an incredulous look. "It sure wasn't my fault!"

"Yes, it was," she insisted. "If you weren't such an expert at making love, I wouldn't have crushed the headboards."

Bruce laughed at her excuse. "So, it's my fault that you can't control yourself when you orgasm?"

"Exactly," she decided, chin lifted in defiance. "You do things to me that make me lose complete control. Therefore, if it weren't for you, you would have an intact headboard. Besides, you told me when we first made love you didn't want me to temper my powers in any way. You wanted all of me just the way I am."

Bruce shook his head in amusement, his blue eyes darkening with desire. This woman did things to him that he'd never experienced before with another woman, making him feel things that he'd never felt before. She was truly amazing.

He reached out to grab her waist, pulling her to him. He kissed her deeply with a fire that burned for her in his soul. "Do you know how hard it is not to kiss you when we're on the Watchtower?" he murmured against her lips.

"I believe that was all your idea not to draw any attention to us on the Watchtower," she pointed out. "You don't want them to connect us as Bruce and Diana."

"Last week when I walked past you in the cafeteria…and didn't say anything to you…it almost killed me," he revealed, his lips and nose nuzzling her neck. "I wanted you so badly. It was all I could do to keep my hands off you."

"We'll just have to meet in our quarters instead," she suggested. "Then, we can do whatever we want to each other."

A growl escaped his throat with the thought. "You know I think we need to try out the bed…make sure it can hold up to our sexual activities."

Diana grinned with obvious agreement, her hand moving to caress his jaw. "I can't believe you went to Oa to pick up the special metal needed to make the bed. That's quite impressive if you ask me."

He stole another kiss before responding, his hand settling on the small of her back. "It's worth it to keep my princess satisfied," he tantalized her with a husky tone.

She laughed at his flirtation, her hand slipping down his neck only to pause to unbutton his shirt. "You know that poor Wally thinks you're cheating on me."

Bruce leaned in to kiss along her throat once more, pausing to suck gently. "I'll take care of Wally," he growled.

"Bruce…be nice," she murmured as her eyes fluttered closed. "It's just because he cares about us."

"You…he cares about you," he clarified, his lips finding hers in a heated kiss.

Diana's arms slipped around his neck as she lifted herself to wrap her legs around his waist. "Still, it's sweet."

"It's annoying," he maintained as he began to wander towards their new bed.

They fell onto the bed with a rapidly growing desire that demanded to be sated several times. "If you break the metal slats on this bed like you did the one made of tungsten, we're in real trouble," he teased her.

"Oh, there are other options," she breathlessly revealed as he pulled her shirt open.

"What other options?" he asked. "Zatanna putting a spell on it to hold it together?"

"You could always tie me up with my lasso."

Bruce immediately froze, taken aback by her sexy suggestion. "Tie you up?" he repeated, finding himself growing more aroused by the second. "Is that an option?"

Diana leaned up to kiss him with a whisper on her lips. "It's worth a try."

Bruce found he couldn't get his or her clothes off fast enough.

XXX

BM: Thanks for the tip about the metal on Oa.

MM: You are welcome. You should thank GL. He was the one who first told me about it.

BM: The information is appreciated.

MM: I am happy to help. Is it indestructible?

BM: No, but we've discovered something that works better for us.

Setting his phone aside, Bruce couldn't help but grin at his fiance as he began to untie Diana's wrists...
