Danny Fenton: Season of Growth

(Author's Notes: Hey everyone! How are you all doing? I hope all of you are doing well. I recently came back from a 7-Night Caribbean Disney Cruise, and still trying to adjust coming back to the real world like so. But I do want to apologize to you all for the long wait. I have been distracted, and all I can offer are my apologies to you all for it.
Before I say or do anything else, I want to give praise and honor to the Lord! Thank you God for looking after me, my Mom and also my friend Rose Spooks who came with us on the trip. Thank you Jesus for an excellent vacation, and for helping me and Mom on our trip back home. Thank you for everything Lord, and I will continue to strive to be a better servant to you and your Son. Please forgive me for being so distracted, and for stumbling down many times. I look to you Jesus Christ for strength, resiliency, commitment, dedication and grit to help me in not getting easily distracted! I need you Lord, and I need your guidance, wisdom, insight and conviction to continue onwards towards you while learning from my mistakes so that I can go forward in all ways towards you!
Also, I wish to say this. On the last day of my trip, which was my birthday March 8th, a couple of friends I made on the trip told me on what happened to the creator of Dragonball and many other anime/manga series of potent reputation- Akira Toriyama. And looking further into the matter on the advice of certain Author friends of mine, I see that he passed on March 1st and that the details of his passing was released a week later after a private funeral ceremony with only immediate family in attendance.
He passed away at age sixty-eight… all I can say is this. May he be in Heaven with the Father and Son, and that his legacy concerning anime/manga live on with honor, dignity and grace. So I dedicate this chapter to the man who made the original Dragonball & Dragonball Z series that I watched as a kid back in the day, and has shaped much of anime culture with his work that he put all of his heart, dedication and effort into it!
And here is another thing. My Author friend Dreams Come True 996 has informed me of a certain news that leaves me more disappointed with the cannon Danny Phantom series and characters. Therefore, we are replacing the voice of Danny from the cannon series with another voice. And after Dreams had looked around, we both decided that the new voice of Danny in this & in our triple crossover will be… Sean Chiplock! You can hear his voice at the video that Dreams found on YouTube which is this- NEW SKIN for Janus - Danny Phantom by elu.
I still do not have much faith in entertainment media, and thus will do my best to make sure that my works do NOT follow it or what is considered the standard now. In my view, the standards and expectations of many things have dropped drastically, so I will take my time with this story and my other ones as well. I want to make sure to bring out the full growth of all the characters as best I can, both minor and major. And to also develop story/plot as best I can, using the standards that existed back in the days of the 1980s and 1990s.
This will take time, coordination, effort and communication with my trusted Author friends here… but it will be worth it! And that with their help, and God's guidance and discipline, I can fully bring out not only the potential of Danny and the ladies… but also their purpose. I want for the characters to fully realize their purpose, not just focus on potential.
The theories and ideas I have are vastly different from the cannon series of various shows, but I believe it is for the better.
I will continue to hope and pray the best for the country I live in. I will continue to hope and pray that the people remember the many fine lines that used to be visible in the past. The small, subtle differences that are quite significant & make the entire difference between what is right & wrong. And that certain barriers/boundaries/limits were set up in the first place for a very good reason.

I wish to do this for my Tia Pamela Espurova-Allen, and will keep doing it until some solid news comes in. She is working with police and other official groups to locate and bring home a missing girl that is part of a family she works with & has befriended.
Her name is Lina Khil, a little girl that was taken on December 20th, 2021. The search is still on for her, but so far… no luck. A lead was discovered some time ago, but still no word yet on situation. Please continue to pray for them, and also to be on the lookout for her.
Her information is this: She was four years old when she was abducted; hair brown, eyes brown, race Afghan, weight 55 lbs. & height 4'0. If any can help to locate and find her, please do so and notify the proper authorities. Hoping and praying still that she is found alive & returned to her family. They have put up a special about her on TV thanks to the San Antonio Police Department. Any information you wish to seek about her you can search for online, and hopefully it will help to find her and bring her back home safely.

Certain family members of theirs are from my fourth Disney/Toho novel Monsters and Magic Special: Sofia's Imagination.
When Danny and the ladies arrive, it is at the very early stages of the Piccolo Jr. Saga, at the exact moment when Shen Long was revived and granted the wish of bringing those that were killed by Demon King Piccolo and his minions back to life. And with a three-year gap before the next tournament, it would give Danny and his date's ample time to explore the new reality/world they are in & to collect the Dragon Balls.
Danny Phantom is a cartoon series that was created by Butch Hartman, developed by Steve Marmel. The series aired on April 2004, the network that released it was Nickelodeon. The production companies were Billionford Inc. and Nickelodeon Animation Studios, with the distributors being Viacom International Inc. and Nelvana. Look for my Danny Phantom series and specials when getting the chance, if you please. This takes place after the episode De-Stabilized, but before Phantom Planet. And also, said last episode will NOT be featured here.
DragonBall is a manga/anime series that was written by Akira Toriyama, published by Shueisha Inc. with North America published by Viz Media. The manga was created in December 1984, ending in June 1995 with forty-two volumes. The anime was directed by Minoru Okazaki & Daisuke Nisho, produced by Tokizō Tsuchiya/Kenji Shimizu/Jun'ichi Ishikawa. Studio was Toei Animation, licensed by Funimation Entertainment for North America. Original network that broadcasted it was Fuji TV, with multiple English networks such as Cartoon Network Toonami and Funimation Channel. It ran from February 1986 to April 1989.
If you wish, use your imagination and put in any kind of song/music intro from any anime series with the Intro and Outro here. And also, so no one is confused, this is DragonBall & not DragonBall Z. And also, not going to follow the Dragonball Super anime or manga series in any way. And not going to follow the current, too-many reboot/remake arcs to name that have been cropping up recently.

Confessions and Revelations
Master Roshi was in the living room of the manor, dialing on the telephone and sitting on the couch as he heard his call making the connection to the other line. After some moments, a high-pitched female voice came over the receiver, "Hello! This is Fortuneteller Baba's Palace, home to Baba herself! I am her assistant Emiko speaking!".
The Turtle Hermit replied, "Hello there! This is Master Roshi speaking, and…".
He was cut off by Emiko who stated in a tone that was still high-pitched but sounding disappointed, "Oh, it's you… my mistress has instructed me to deny you any kind of loan or borrowing that involves money. So if you have called for that, please hang up and do not call back again.".
On the other line, Roshi had a funny-looking expression that was a mixture of anger and annoyance. He said to himself, 'That Baba! Oooh, I'll get her back for that!'. He and her used to have pranking wars on each other in the past, but Baba's use of magic often had her on top. He had yet to get one over on his older sister.
The elder martial arts master shook his head rapidly to calm himself down, then stated, "Oh no, no! It's not about money at all. Listen, I just need to talk to her for a moment. It involves something really important.".
Emiko was skeptical and hesitant, but she remembered her duties as an assistant and asked in a tone that showcased her current emotions, "What is this important thing exactly?".
Master Roshi answered, "It involves some people that are not from around here. And it involves the supernatural area, something that Baba is more of an expert in then I am. So can you please bring her in to talk to me?".
The pink ghost assistant thought about it, seeing that her mistress's brother had a point. Baba was among the experts concerning the supernatural realm, her only rivals in that area of knowledge was a sorceress named Kearitona Dragonista. After a moment of silence, she replied, "Hold on a moment please.".
The Turtle Hermit hummed a little tune as he waited, then he heard something on the other line. It was Emiko, and even though it was faint, he managed to hear her. She said, "It's the deadbeat brother, Mistress. He sounds sincere, but still be careful…".
A thought bubble appeared over Master Roshi, showing to all a chibi-version of him using a sealing technique on Emiko. He sealed her in a small jar, then tossed said jar into the sea. When it was done, the chibi-version celebrated in delight… then had several scantily clad voluptuous women in bikinis coming in, showing him with affection.
Down below in reality, the Turtle Hermit was grinning with a little bit of drool coming down the lower-right corner of his mouth. He soon snapped back to reality when he heard Baba's voice over the receiver, "Hello there Roshi.".
The ancient master managed to gather himself back together and replied, "Oh, yeah Baba! Nice to talk to you again.".
The floating fortuneteller sighed and remarked, "Roshi, I know why you called me. It involves those beings that are from another universe, correct?".
Master Roshi was only mildly surprised, realizing quick that very little escapes the one who could see into the future. He answered back, "Yup! Let me guess, you knew of them already?".
Baba replied, "You got that right. I felt a strong pulse of inter-universal energy some days ago, and I used my powers to pinpoint the location. I was surprised to see thirty-one people at the headquarters of the Red Ribbon Army, and more so when I saw some of their abilities. Especially that young man called Danny Fenton.".
The bald-headed master of martial arts replied, "Hmmm… I see. So do you know everything about them?".
On the other side, Baba frowned and answered back in a tone that conveyed disappointment, "Actually no. While my clairvoyant powers are powerful, apparently it can only look deep into someone who is native to this universe. All I was able to get was when they landed here. Did they tell you something about them?".
Now this had Master Roshi very glad, a gleeful smug smile on his face as he spoking in a teasing tone, "Oh, my! Can it be that I know something YOU don't know? The great and powerful, all-seeing witch, doesn't know ANYTHING but I do? Ho ho ho ho! A very rare day indeed!".
This had Baba fuming, the small pink-haired witch slowly turning red in the face at hearing the taunting from her brother. While her powers to see into the future/present/past & locating any object on Earth was quite potent, even she did not know everything. An example was that while she knew that Goku would be coming to her abode, she had no idea that he was the grandson of Son Gohan. That is why she was surprised when she realized on why the deceased master had asked earlier in Other World if Goku would be coming to see her.
So while she might know what was to come, she had no idea for the REASON behind it. And now it seemed that she discovered another limit to her power, which was that it only showed her past events to a certain point in time. When she tried to look into the past of Danny and the others with her powers… all her crystal ball got was static. Apparently, her mystical ability could not dive into the past actions of people from a completely different universe.
After enduring her younger brother's celebratory taunting, she soon reached her limit and exclaimed in aggravation, "Roshi! Either you start telling me what I need to know, or I'll put a spell on you that will make you have nightmares for a month!".
This had the old man pause in his taunting, his face twisting into a grimace and shuddering badly. Baba once did that to him many centuries ago in his youth… and he did NOT want to go through that again! It took some months to get the mental scarring out of his system.
He coughed to clear his throat, then answered his big sister, "Okay, okay! You win! Anything but that!". He could feel the smugness on Baba's face, again realizing that a younger sibling cannot outdo the bigger one in some situations.
Master Roshi then proceeded to tell Baba everything he knew concerning Danny and the others… and I mean everything.
Thirty minutes later, the Turtle Master finished his explanation to his sister. He told her on how he and the others met Danny, what was told to them by the other-universal travelers, their time at West City, the appearance of Yume Tenshi & Inukami Dezato, and finally the sparring match between him and Danny. He did leave some things out, such as the cleaning up of the manor & the finding of Commander Red's hidden treasure trove that equaled to eighty-seven hundred billion zeni. He knew that if Baba knew about it, she would charge them a VERY great price for her services. When it came to money, she was greedy as they came.
After it was all said and done, Baba made a low whistle of amazement and stated, "Oh my! So this is what it's all about! I have to say, I am certainly surprised here. To think that an Author would do something like that…".
Master Roshi had a surprised look on his face and inquired in a tone that mirrored his emotion, "What? You know of these Author characters?".
His older sister answered back, "Only a little bit of information, and it's this. These Authors vary in abilities, personalities and looks. But each of them is VERY powerful and not to be taken lightly. Believe me, you do NOT want to get on their bad sides.".
Baba had some experience back in her youth with two Author who had visited the universe centuries ago, a boy and a girl. In fact, it was both Authors that had actually extended her life after she managed to find a trinket of his that had fallen into Earth.
And just like how the Phoenix had extended Roshi's life, so too did these Authors extended Baba's lifespan in gratitude for finding the boy's lost item which was precious to him as it was given to him by the girl, who was his girlfriend! Baba had seen just a glimpse of the being's power and abilities… and knew that they were someone NOT to make an enemy of!
The fortuneteller continued, "Also, I just saw your match with this Danny child through my crystal ball. While he is strong and formidable, it seems that he will need your training in order to become better.".
If there was anything said about her brother, despite his goofy personality and perverted nature towards the opposite sex, he was a good teacher in the ways of martial arts & a good judge of character. She believed strongly that Danny and the girls would learn something from her brother. After all, he did train Goku, a young child that had done so much… and he was not done yet!
Master Roshi spoke over the phone, "Wow! I'm flattered that you told me that Baba. Thank you. But that is not the reason I called you. You see, I learned something about Danny that I would like your official confirmation on since you know more of the supernatural than I do.".
This caught Baba by surprise. While she had seen the spar between Roshi and Danny, she had turned off her crystal ball when he started to speak to him after the match. She replied, "Oh? And what is it that you found about the boy?".
The Turtle Hermit answered her with his sunglasses flashing a little, "He told me that he is a halfa, apparently someone that is half-alive & half-ghost. But I believe strongly that he is not dead, but rather that his spirit found a way to show physically in the flesh and blood.".
Quite perplexed, Baba nearly demanded a more specific explanation, and thus Roshi explained his theory to her. Once he was done, she rubbed her chin in contemplation and thought. After some moments, she spoke over the phone, "Hmmmm… while I do know more about the supernatural, I believe that you may be right concerning him being half-spirit, not half-ghost like he thinks he is. And I have to say, this is completely new territory for me. I have never heard of someone being half-alive and half-dead like him. I mean, vampires and mummies are on thing, but it sounds like he is in a completely different category altogether.".
While Roshi did lack some knowledge about some supernatural beings, Baba believed that he was right concerning Danny. She had seen people that underwent transformations such as vampires, werewolves and also certain magical beings. But she had never heard of a supernatural being created by accident like so. She wondered what was going through the minds of the boy's parents, as to leave an ON/OFF switch INSIDE of a portal that was meant to tear a hole into a place where the dead made their dwelling at.
Master Roshi nodded his head, agreeing with her and asking, "So, do you think you will be able to come and take a look at him to see what he is officially? And also to take a look at Spectra and Phantasma.".
Baba replied back, "I'll see what I can do. First I need to make some arrangements, then get back to you on what comes up.".
When her brother asked on why it was needed, Baba sighed and answered, "For something like this, I really need confirmation from a higher authority. So going to see if I can arrange for myself and Danny to see King Yemma. Also to bring this Spectra and Phantasma girls to see him too so that all of them can be checked and registered with the Other World Community Association.".
Now this was a big surprise to Master Roshi, and it showed on his face in a comical way. He had seen King Yemma before when he had died. As it turned out, Korrin's saying that people killed by demons floated through limbo was a false one. When the Turtle Hermit had met the ruler of Other World, he was amazed on how truly gigantic he was. And also amazed on the number of souls that were there, in line and being processed at the Check-In Station which was both an enormous palace & functioned as the office of King Yemma.
Master Roshi had been surprised to see the souls in the form of fluffy clouds, he himself was one as well. And that there were numerous blue humanoid ogres in work clothes, some keeping the souls in line as to not cut in front of the other. King Yemma was different from the other ogres; big as a mountain, light red in color, two horns on his head, wearing a business suit & a thick black mustache-beard combo.
When it was his turn to stand before him, Master Roshi soon discovered that it was King Yemma's job to judge the dead. To send them to their next destination, which was either Heaven… or Hell. To his relief, he was judged worthy and sent into Heaven. His cloud form changed to be like his old self… except he had a wisp for a tail. But just as he was about to be sent on a plane that would take him to paradise, where he was hoping it would be full of beautiful women in skimpy bikinis… he was engulfed in golden light and brought back to life thanks to Shen Long the Eternal Dragon!
The Turtle Master spoke into the phone after regaining his wits and exclaimed, "You're going to take them to see King Yemma?! But sis, are you sure it's necessary?! I mean, what if he tries to judge them?!".
Baba chuckled and replied, "Don't worry there brother. King Yemma won't judge them and send them on their way to their destination. But when it comes to confirming on what is really dead or not, that is him. So he'll confirm to see if your theory concerning Danny is correct. Also, it would be beneficial for him and the girls to check out the other side of the realm. We have some things here that the living world doesn't have, and it might help them in a pinch if they are in trouble.".
Master Roshi could not argue with that. Even though he could not go to Other World like his sister could, she did bring some stuff from the flip side to show to him. Baba had bought some unusual trinkets that ranged from mildly strange… to downright bizarre! And also, they had a different currency which was gold and silver coins that King Yemma's face on it.
The fortuneteller then stated, "I will have to talk to Danny about harvesting some things from that Interdimensional Dragon hatchling he has. To think that the lad was lucky enough to have it imprint on him as a father like that… ho ho ho ho!".
The Turtle Hermit replied her words, "I'd be a bit careful in asking Danny about that. I believe he has become protective and attached to Nebula, and so have the other girls. They might not take kindly to you wanting parts of her.".
Baba remarked, "Oh don't worry. I'll only take things that she sheds naturally, like her claws or teeth. They can regrow quickly or be easily replaced. But any parts belonging to Interdimensional Dragons are in high value in Other World, and some would use more… unsavory and brutal means to get their hands on any part of a dragon, or the whole one.".
It was true; it seemed that just like in the living world, the supernatural world had its fair share of bad seeds such as bounty hunters & poachers. Some beings used deception and traps to capture their quarry, though tackling dragons was a job only the elite could take on. While some had claimed some high-class/high-level dragons, no one so far had been able to capture an Interdimensional Dragon. Any part from said dragon would be in the most unusual or dangerous of places that not even the undead or other supernatural would go to. And when found and brought back to the main hub of the Other World Community Association, usually the part would have incredible properties such as raising someone's strength, defense, endurance, speed, magic, vitality, stamina by a very high percentage! Or give them immunity to a certain element that when hit by said element, it would heal them instead of harm them!
Master Roshi nodded his head and remarked, "Maybe so, but I pity the ones who target Nebula. If they were not dead, they would wish they were after Danny and the others would get through with them.".
The fortuneteller then stated, "Speaking of the lad, he seems to have much potential and promise. Just like a certain monkey-tailed boy we both know. Though I hope he is not naïve and simple like Goku.". The elder woman had been very stunned to see how little Goku knew of the modern world, and that his manners & tact were abysmal at best. Though the trade-off was a strong sense of right and wrong, and a pure heart that allowed him to fly the famous golden Flying Nimbus.
The Turtle Master answered her, "Don't worry. Danny seems to have a good head on his shoulders, and his intentions are good enough to me. But… I believe there are some deeper things that he has yet to confront, and hopefully training under me & exploring the world can help him to face whatever it is inside of him head on. And it seems that the ladies seem to be gravitating towards him, slow but steady and naturally to boot. I wish I had that kind of luck…".
Baba laughed/cackled over the phone and stated, "Hahahahaha! Roshi, the only way that could ever happen in real life is in your dreams! Hahahahahaha!".
This made the martial arts master red in the face, and another imagination bubble appeared over his head. In it, his chibi-self was strangling a chibi-version of his sister. After some time choking her, he sent her off with a cartoonish Kamehameha Wave as the blue beam sent the imaginary witch to the very stars in space. Chibi-Roshi than looked to the audience, giving a big grin and the peace sign.
The bubble burst, Roshi looked to be a bit more satisfied. His older sister spoke once more, "Well, I'll let you go so you can attend to your students Roshi. And once I am finished talking with King Yemma, I'll let you know his answer. Farewell and… well, I rarely say this to you but… good to have you back little brother.".
Now that surprised Roshi very much, and it showed on his face. Rarely did his sister compliment him, rarer to hear some considerate words from her. True they were not the best of siblings… yet to hear her say that showed that she was glad to have him back among the living. He managed to get his wits back and was about to say something, but all he heard was a faint click followed by a dial tone.
He chuckled and said in a soft tone, "Thanks for the words Baba. It means a lot to me.".
He hung up the phone properly, then rose back up and stretched his back until he heard a small pop. He said to himself, "Well, better go find Danny and the others on what Baba told me.".
Master Roshi used his aura sense to find the location of the Dressing Hall that had Danny and the others. It was not difficult for him since Danny's unique halfa signature was easy to detect. Once he arrived at the appropriate place, he knocked on the door as common courtesy dictated. Inukami's voice called out from the other side, "Who is it?".
When Roshi answered with his name, the anthro wolf woman told him that it was unlocked. The Turtle Master opened the door, and saw that the hall was indeed large and ornate. It seemed that Commander Red truly loved to make anything that was dedicated to showcasing himself the very best, as the place looked like one of those small studios that models would use to get their pictures taken by professionals.
He saw Danny standing in the middle of a dark red circle, arms stretched out straight to the sides. Angelica was close to him, using a measuring tape around his waist. To the side was Gwen Honorine and Emma with their notebooks out as they wrote in them. Nebula was standing to the side behind Danny with Inukami, Dezato-san having an amused look on her face.
You see, Danny was shirtless as he was now only wearing his gray jeans & he was blushing red in his face. Angelica was also red in the face, a look of concentration on her face but anyone could see that her focus was being torn due to her hormones rising up as she was near Danny's midsection. He had a faint but visible four-pack forming, the result of his days ghost-fighting back at Amity Park. Emma and Gwen were also blushing, their cheeks sporting faint but visible red coloring as their faces were focused on their notebooks.
This same thought ran through the women's heads, 'Why am I blushing?! I-It's not like I've seen Danny shirtless before! And yet…'. They had seen the young lad shirtless before, during the times he went into the pool with them. But this was different from playing around in the pool, a subtle but strong way that had them a bit warm under the collars.
Angelica was very close to him, her breath tickling his midsection which made him blush atomic red and forming goosebumps on said area that spread throughout his being.
Nebula was puzzled, as she saw her father and possible-future mothers acting like so strangely. She soon detected peculiar scents in the air, sniffing a little and becoming more perplexed. What she was smelling now was the pheromones that were being expelled from the humans; a fruity scent smell from the ladies, and a slightly strong musk smell from her father.
From Miss Honorine, the scent of blueberries was there. For Emma, it was the smell of pineapple. And from Angelica, it was the scent of pears. This was confusing to the hatchling, her head tilted and wondering what was going on.
Meanwhile, Dezato-san was looking on amusement. Earlier, she had told Danny to take off his shirt. He and the ladies turned red, the lad wondering on why he needed to do that. She stated that it would make the measuring easier for Angelica, and thus to get more accurate results. He was skeptical and hesitant about this, but surprisingly the girls did not speak on any objections. So he did what he was told, Inukami grinning in amusement and the halfa wondering if he was just being played.
Oh, he was correct on that. There was no need for him to discard his shirt, but the anthro wolf warrior woman wanted to see some mild form of entertainment & got it when she saw the ladies looking more nervous especially Angelica who was taking the measurements.
However… she did frown a little at seeing the back of Danny. It showed faint scars; some being years old, while some looked a bit more fresh like about a week or so. Most normal human eyes would not be able to detect the scars due to Danny's healing factor, but only a very trained and professional eye could see the scars. And Inukami was a wolf, whose eyesight was better overall than humans.
She would have to ask Danny about those scars, in private of course. The scars were from his days of being bullied by Dash and his friends back in middle school, during the days when he tried to talk with Paulina and Star in an effort to reconnect with them. But sad to say, Dash and his cohorts minus Kwan Robert who would join the A-Listers in high school, made sure that his efforts were thwarted… in painful ways.
Coincidentally, Sam would be at the scene after they left and would tend to his wounds. But she would go on a small rant, telling him that it was not worth the effort to try and talk with the 'airheads'. But the young man was stubborn and continued to try.
The most recent of scars had come after the incident with the Ghost Portal that turned him into a halfa. When he had to do battle against the various ghosts, and also his parents when they would locate him & try to capture him. When Vlad and Valerie a.k.a. the Red Huntress entering the fray, the scars on his back increased but thankfully his healing factor managed to tend to the wounds… though it would only leave faded scars, not completely remove them.
It was due to this that Danny was not ashamed or afraid to go swimming and such that required being shirtless since most people could not see his wounds.
Master Roshi walked towards the group and asked in an amused tone, "So Danny, how is the measuring going? Hehehehe…".
Danny turned his head a little to glare at him, but it was Angelica that answered the martial arts master in an even tone, "It's going well so far Roshi. Just one last measurement and we'll be done here.". She was trying to sound professional, though her tone suggested annoyance at the amused tone of the Turtle Hermit.
She managed to get the accurate number of his waist area, telling the info to Emma who quickly put them down in her notebook. Once she said that it was all done, Angelica rose from her position. It was at that moment that Danny turned his head back forward, soon looking into the eyes of Miss Pickles. Both were still blushing, and the duo turned their heads away after a brief moment, Angelica taking some small steps backwards from Danny.
Gwen went over to a chair that had his shirt, taking it and handing it over to him, which Danny accepted and put the article of clothing back on him. Once it was on, Nebula went up to her father and nuzzled him. His nervous look soon changed into a soft smile, the young man petting the head of the rare dragon and saying, "Hehehe… thanks Nebula. I'm good now. Thank you for being a patient girl for me.". Nebula soon had her eyes in a happy U-shape before licking her father's face, which made him chuckle and accept the licks before gently telling her to cease.
Emma giggled at the innocent-sweet scene before she stated, "Okay then! I got everything down from Danny!".
Gwen Honorine finished the final piece in her own artbook and added in, "And… done! I got his new uniform all drawn out!".
Master Roshi nodded his head at the two girls, then looked to Dezato who smirked and said in a confident tone, "Now that we got everything we need, we can get to work as soon as possible. If we get started quick, most likely we'll have all the uniforms ready either by late tonight or early tomorrow morning.".
The ancient master of martial arts remarked, "That is good to hear. Now then, since we are all finished, let's go to the building where Yume-chan and the others are at. I believe all of us need to see Danny's Duplication technique.". He also was going to see if he could convince his new pupil to share to all of them on what was holding him back.
The group nodded their heads in agreement, heading towards the door to exit. However… Nebula stopped to take another look at Roshi in the eyes for a few moments… then she bopped him on top of the head with her own head, her chin striking the bald target like so! Roshi winced and held his cranium, Nebula smiling and giving a chirp before following Danny. The lad and the ladies chuckled/giggled at this before leaving, Roshi picking up the rear as he rubbed his sore head.
It seemed that the hatchling got a bit of a kick out of giving a blow to the Turtle Hermit.
As they walked out of the manor and towards the building that Yume had dubbed to be the Interdimensional Institute of Magic, Master Roshi walked a bit faster until he was on the right side of Danny. He was at the head of the line, and Nebula was on his left side. The elderly man stated, "By the way Danny, I managed to get in touch with my sister Baba.".
He looked to him and inquired, "Oh? Well, what did she say? Will she be coming here?".
Master Roshi answered him, "Well… she says that she needs to go and confirm something first. Apparently she wants to make really sure that my theory concerning you is true or not, so she is going to arrange a meeting between you and King Yemma in Other World. Also, she wants Phanty-chan and Spectra-chan to join in as well.".
Now this got the attention of the group as they were told some time ago about King Yemma. However, Dezato-san looked perplexed as she inquired, "Who are you talking about? Who is this King Yemma?".
Danny looked to her and answered, "Oh, he is the ruler of Other World. It's the place where the supernatural and the dead go to.".
This had the anthro wolf woman stop dead in her tracks, a look of astonishment on her face. The group soon stopped as well to look at her, Danny chuckling softly as the look on her face was comical. Miss Honorine also giggled, then explained to her, "Believe me Inukami, we were surprised as you are now when we first heard it.".
Emma added in, "Yup! And also it seems that Baba is Master Roshi's older sister, and she can travel freely between this world and the other one. She says that certain other kinds of mortals can travel there as well safely, but we'll have to ask her who specifically.".
Angelica also put in her words, "I wonder if this means that Sabrina and the others that are going to train with Yume can go there as well?".
Danny looked to Nebula and asked out loud, "I wonder if this means that you can go to Other World safely girl, since you are an Interdimensional Dragon.". Seeing the ladies and Master Roshi's perplexed looks, Danny said that he would show them what he meant with the help of Yume's special magical book. Nebula crooned softly and nuzzled her head to Danny, who smiled and rubbed the top of her head.
The group soon resumed their walk to the complex, Inukami shaking her head rapidly to clear it before walking a bit faster to catch up with them. Once she was close enough and by Master Roshi's side, she inquired in a tone that was a mixture of awe and amusement, "It seems that you tend to be around a lot of weird things a lot, eh old timer?".
Master Roshi just chuckled and answered her, "My dear, I have seen a LOT of strange things in my life. And while surprised on what I see, I learn from it and continue on.".
Danny then had a look of realization on his face, then turned to the Turtle Master as they walked and inquired, "That reminds me Master Roshi! I got to know; how did you manage to deflect my energy shots? And also to hit me even though I went intangible, and standing your ground against my Ghostly Wail? And finding me even though I was invisible?". The others were a bit curious as well.
The ancient Turtle Hermit cleared his throat and answered, "It was simple my boy. I simply used my ki to help me defend myself against your attacks.".
He explained that while some ki energy could be made visible, most of it was invisible to the naked eye. Only when it was concentrated and focused could it be brought into the visible spectrum. He continued onward, stating that he coated his hands with his ki and that was how he was able to deflect his green and blue energy attacks. It was also how he was able to hit Danny despite his intangibility, and also covering his body in his life force to deflect most of the supernatural soundwave attack & to anchor him to the ground.
Master Roshi finished his explanation, "And also I could sense your aura when you turned invisible, so I knew where you were & what you had in mind when you were behind me.".
Danny was very much impressed by this, but also in the process learning a lot about his own abilities & the possibilities of utilizing ki. Emma inquired, "Did you know that your ki would do all of that to Danny during the spar?".
The elderly man answered her, "To be honest my dear, I was taking a chance there.".
Seeing their stunned faces, Master Roshi explained that he had experience fighting some specters in his youth. He had learned through trial and error that his ki could harm some ghosts, but not all of them. He learned that some supernatural entities reacted to his life-force attacks, and it was at random. Some could be severely affected by it, some moderate and mild, some could resist the attacks… and some actually gained positive effects like increased strength/defense/health/stamina/speed from his ki!
He finished up by stating this with his tone steeled with wisdom, "And that is when I learned something important during my trials in my youth. And that is ki can have random effects in mixing with other energies and bodies that might be different than humans. So one has to test it out, observe and also be careful as one can be.".
The group nodded their heads, saving the info as best they could and also to tell the others about what they have learned as well.
When they arrived at the entrance to the building, they went in and saw that the others were quite hard at work. Yume's students were using their magic to clean up the place, seeing Sabrina using a levitation spell to handle some debris & taking it to a large trash bin that Yume had conjured up. Gwen was using her unique magic via mana to bring a wide-end broom to life and help her sweep the floors.
Yume was washing the walls with a big bucket of soap and water, and that is when she sensed the others coming in. She turned around, a smile on her face as she saw Danny and the others. The sorceress went to them and inquired, "Hey everyone! So is everything straightened out now?".
Master Roshi nodded his head and answered back, "Yes Yume-chan. My sister Baba is going to help in confirming if my theory about Danny here is correct or not, and also he's finished with his measurements needed.".
The Fenton lad asked the teacher of magic, "So how is everything here? How long until everything is cleaned up?".
The potent magical woman checked her watch and saw that it was 11:10 a.m. She thought on it and answered, "I believe we'll have this place cleaned up completely in a couple of hours, give or take. Normally for a place this big, it would take a team of cleaners about four or five hours tops to get it all done. Luckily, we have the aid of magic and more people with us, so we managed to cut the time down significantly.".
Emma smiled and stated, "Well, you got us to help you now! So that time can be cut down a little more!". Yume giggled at the young woman's energy, and replied that more help would be welcome. Angelica was a bit hesitant since she did not like to do manual work, unless it involved clothing and fashion of course. But with a little coaxing from the others, especially from Danny, the young Pickles beauty gave in and started to help out.
~Later on~
It was about 12:45 when the new Interdimensional Institute of Magic building was completely clean! Well, on the outside at least. The building, and many others around, still needed to be cleaned up. But that would come at a later date. Right now, everyone was in one of the three large university-style classrooms. The future Z-Fighters and the ladies were sitting down in the newly cleaned chairs, Danny & Master Roshi standing in front of them as they had the floor, so to speak.
During the clean-up part, Master Roshi and the others told the remaining helpers on what occurred between Roshi and Baba.
The Turtle Master looked to Danny and stated, "Okay then, now everything about this building is clean and organized, I believe that you promised to show us your Duplication technique.". Bulma and the natives of the world were eager to see this, though the ladies that had been with Danny had already witnessed him using said technique. Still, it was always a bit of a treat to see him utilize a supernatural power.
The Fenton lad smiled as he nodded his head, changed into his Phantom-form & had a look of focus on him. His whole body glowed in a faint but visible light emerald-green color… and from his being came another copy of him! The pattern repeated twice, and in the room were four identical Danny Phantoms!
This got a gasp from Bulma and the others, and even the martial art fighters were impressed at this. They had seen Afterimage illusions, but this was different. One of the clones looked to the group, smiled and gave the two-finger salute greeting. He called out, "Hey everyone!".
The duplicate on his right gave them all a smirk and did a simple wave. He called out, "Yo everyone!".
The last one on the far right did a gentleman bow and spoke with some charm in his tone, "Greetings ladies and gentleman! Especially the ladies.". This had Bulma and some of the ladies blushing and smiling, though some rolled their eyes in amusement.
Puar pointed out, "Hey! Those aren't illusions like the Afterimage! They're solid, and they can think on their own!".
Danny grinned and replied, "Got that right Puar! Also, I tinkered with it a bit and found I can show them as duplicates. Take a closer look at their shirts.". The ones in the front- Yume, Kim, Penny, Katie, Gwen, Debbie, Daria, Puar and Yamcha- peered at the shirts… and it was Penny who managed to find what Danny was going for.
The African-American beauty proclaimed, "Hey! They have numbers on their shirts, near their left shoulder area!". It was on their left, her right given her POV, that indeed they had numbers in white on their uniforms. One showcased the number 1, the one beside him having 2, and the last one having three. The original one did not have any number on his being.
Said original Danny smiled and replied, "Way to spot it Penny! Yes, my duplicates have numbers on their shirts. It's to make sure to distinguish one from the other. But if something serious arises and they need to be sneaky, they can hide their numbers.". True to form, the three duplicates concentrated a little, and their numbers glowed white before vanishing completely. And after a few moments, the number soon reappeared.
Krillin commented in an impressed tone, "Wow! Now that is a neat trick there!".
Tien had a look of hope in his eyes and asked in a tone that conveyed the emotion, "Danny, do you think it would be possible for a living person to do what you did?".
The halfa hero wanted to say no as it was something only ghosts can do. But after everything that has happened so far, he was starting to doubt if this technique was not exclusive as he thought. After a moment, he looked to Tien and answered in an honest tone, "I… Well, after all I have seen and heard this past week or so, I would say that anything is possible.".
He then asked on how it was done, Danny once more looking to be in a train of thought before answering, "Well… it's all about knowing your entire body and also using the energy you have. I use ecto-energy to make the duplicates, and then separate them from me like how one separates clay from another. Not the best kind of example to put in words, but best I got. And this is with energy that ghosts use, so have no idea how a living person would do it, or if it will even work.".
Tien nodded, accepting the answer. But his mind was already analyzing the technique, his eyes catching all of the details that was done when Danny first did the Duplication technique. His mind was potent and formidable, just like his physical body. He thought to himself, 'I believe it can be done! I will need to work on the mechanics and theories on my own. But… I know I can do it! I'll make that technique my own somehow!'.
Once everyone was satisfied with the demonstration, Danny did a mental recall of his duplicates. They all nodded as one, then turned to their little audience and did a small wave of farewell before vanishing with a small audible POP.
Master Roshi then stated, "Thank you for the demonstration Danny. And now… I would like to get to another matter that needs to be addressed and resolved.". He said the last part in a serious tone, which mildly startled and surprised the others there.
Danny inquired in a hesitant tone, "W-What do you mean Master Roshi?".
The Turtle Hermit looked to the young halfa hero and answered, "I noticed something else when you and I sparred. And I believe there is something else holding you back… something that has you afraid. I need to know what it is before we start to train.".
This got the young man from another universe very much surprised, and also fearful. The surprise aspect was on how insightful the old martial arts master was, the fearful part on how he was going to explain his alternate evil self to everyone. He was afraid of the consequences… he was afraid that they would be fearful of him, and that fear was now creeping back into his mind.
Master Roshi sensed this and spoke in a soothing yet strong tone, "Danny… I believe that it is for the best that you trust us with this. Trust, my boy, is something precious and is one of the foundations of friendships and comrade-ships. Since we are going to be together for a good amount of time, I believe that we need to start trusting each other more. I will help you, but only if I have your complete trust. And the same goes for everyone here. I know you have some secrets you wish to keep, and also that discerning who to trust is key for self-preservation and protection… but sometimes secrets hurt more than harm if you don't have trust. And I ask you to please share this with us… to put trust in us to help you break through what is putting fear in you.".
Danny heard his words, and slowly but surely started to see the wisdom in it. He soon thought back on the early days, before and after the incident that turned him into a halfa. He said to himself, 'Even before the lab accident… I only had Sam and Tucker. Jazz… well, she was a good sister back then, but too much of an adult at the time to fully trust her. And my parents… well, with the way they acted all the time, lost a bit of trust in them. And for some reason… whenever I tried to make other friends, they were scared away. So… I only put trust in Tucker and Sam.'.
He continued with his line of thought, 'But now that I think on it… I was dependent on them since losing Paulina and Star, I think that is why I never saw their flaws. I should put more trust in my family when I had the chance, despite their own flaws as they would have helped me out. Embarrass me, they would do that. But at least they would have still helped me, and that is what I missed out on because of my stupid pride and fear.'.
The halfa hero thought some more, 'And after the incident… I really should have listened to myself when I wanted to tell Mom and Dad what happened. Sam told me not to and that they wouldn't understand, but… she doesn't really know my parents. She knows that their scientists and such, but not as parents. She always saw her own parents in a wrong light, and in a way, it shifted over to Dad and Mom. I really regret now not telling them, as it could have spared me a lot of trouble and headaches. In fact… starting to regret listening to her words on now I have to act like a superhero because I got these powers, and even some rules that she added in with what she has been bugging me about for all the times we have been together.'.
With every thought, his view on Sam crumbled down every further. His views on Tucker were not as bad, but it was still cracked in many places.
Danny soon realized something and concluded his thoughts like so, 'Master Roshi is right. I need to start to trust more in others. I'll still use discernment and caution in who I trust, but for now… heh, even with Vicky Aidth here… I'll start to trust them more. And I need to do it now, and not let unwanted fear or pride get the better of me like before!'.
The young man soon took a deep breath, exhaled and looked to Master Roshi. He soon formed a small smile, and nodded to him. Master Roshi also had a small smile on, nodding right back in a gesture that showed he was grateful that Danny made the choice to trust him and the others more.
The Fenton lad looked over to the audience, looking at the faces of everyone in the room. Many looked at him with concern, some wondering if he was really going to trust them. Even Vicky was curious at this. Danny then spoke in a clear voice for all to hear, "Master Roshi is right. I really want to get to know you all better. And… on my end, I need to trust you all with more of me. So hope you all are prepared right now.".
This got the group to be surprised as this was indeed a big step, for both Danny and each of them. Trust was certainly a precious commodity, and something to not take lightly at all. So now they were giving Danny all of their attention as he was about to reveal something big to them. What came after that, it would all be up to them.
Danny once more took a deep breath, exhaling and gathering his thoughts together on a personal and delicate matter. Once he was centered and ready, he looked to everyone and spoke, "There is something that I am afraid of. Something that holds me back. And… it's due to meeting my future self.".
This did surprise most of the group, except for some like Makoto and Gwen Tennyson who had some experience with time travel. Danny started to tell them on how everything started with his teacher Mr. Lancer explaining the significance of the Career Aptitude Test, or the CAT for short. After hearing on how his teacher put an exaggerated emphasis on it, Debbie spoke up, "Whoa, whoa! This Lancer teacher is one certified nutcase if he tried to make the CAT tests sound like life or death there!".
Yume added in, "I agree with Debbie here. While I know the importance of choosing a good career and such, a flimsy piece of paper and answers don't make the person. It's the person themselves that make the career they choose to do, and it all depends on how much the person is willing to do to make the career something they enjoy doing.". She made a mental note to meet with this Lancer, and also other teachers who followed his lead as this kind of action was more harmful then helpful to pupils.
Danny sighed and replied, "Believe me, I know that now. And I seriously think that Lancer needs to have his head examined. But let me continue, please.".
He went on with his story; he told them on how his sister was trying to help him but he was frustrated due to comparing himself to her own smarts, the appearance of Box Lunch the daughter of Box Ghost & Lunch Lady, the accidental grabbing of the test scores from Lancer's case, the bugging from his friends to return it without looking at it, the meeting with another enemy called Skulltech 9.9 as it was a fusion of two ghost enemies called Skulker & Technius, going to Clockwork's lair and meeting said Time Spirit, fighting him with Tucker figuring out the medallions… and going back in time to a future where Danny met and fought his own version self.
He explained on how the future had been destroyed due to his evil self that he called Dark Dan Phantom, and also on how it was he that could do the Ghostly Wail first. And also on how he fused one of Clockwork's medallions inside of him, and threw him into the Ghost Zone where he met his enemies… who had all been severely damaged in various ways due to Dark Dan. And it was by battling them that he learned to do the wailing attack on his own, which was to protect himself. And he soon got to the part where he flew to find his nemesis Vlad, who told him everything on how Dark Dan was created. The listeners were going through a wide range of emotions at hearing his story, though some like Tien, Inukami and Master Roshi looked to be neutral.
He soon reached the part on how Future Vlad was able to get the time medallion out of him, going back to his original timeline, defeating Dark Dan and sealing him in the Fenton Thermos… and how Clockwork was able to cheat a little in interfering so that he would not lose his family and friends to the explosion. And also on how he sent him back in time to give the answer sheet back and do the right thing, and on how Jazz and him reconciled like so.
At the end of the story, he looked to everyone to see how they would judge him. Surprisingly, almost all of them were giving him looks of approval.
It was Barbara that was the first to break the silence as she stated, "I got to say, that was quite the story Danny. And I am glad that you did the right thing at the end! Though… I think your family plus Sam and Tucker should have given you some breathing room, and trust of their own in you.".
Her best friend Kara added in, "I agree on that. It's one thing to want someone to do the right thing, but constant bugging and hovering like they did is not good. And it also shows on little faith and trust in you they had, so it's on them, not you.".
Danny was certainly surprised to hear those words, and more so when the others agreed with her on that. Oolong also put in his words, "And I got to say this to you kid. You really showed your stuff against someone that was stronger and bigger than you! And also going through time like that, just wow!".
Many people were giving Danny compliments and props, but it was Tien that spoke up that made the situation serious once more. He looked to Danny in the eyes with a serious look, getting the halfa hero to be nervous under the steely glare. After some moments, the three-eyed human martial artist spoke in a tone that was quite serious, "I do not blame your alternate past self for the grieving for the loss of his family and friends. But Danny… your alternate self was sadly weak. While the pain of loss is great, doing something dangerous as removing your spirit self was foolish and something akin to suicide.".
This got a round of gasps from the others, Danny included as he didn't even consider that. Tien continued on, "I am versed in some ways of the spirit thanks to my former mentor, Master Crane. He taught me many things… and among them is that when a spirit leaves the body in another way that does not involve killing, said body is put into a coma-like state. It's like they are in a deep sleep trance, and until the spirit goes back into the body, it will remain like that.".
He continued on, "I can separate my own spirit from my body thanks to deep meditation and training, but I learned that the spirit are still tied together via mystical means. And if the spirit does not return to the body after a certain amount of time has passed… it starts to fade slowly, getting weaker. And it MUST return to the body… or else the separate is for good. The spirit becomes a ghost, and the body is no more.".
Tien really knew what he was talking about. He had once spent about five days as a spirit, and he started to feel his spirit getting weaker & his form becoming slowly more transparent. He had rushed to his body, settling back into it & doing some heavy recovery with Chiaotzu and Crane aiding him.
This made Danny feel ashamed, as again he did not fully comprehend or consider the consequences of what his alternate future self did. At first, he believed that he had two sides- his 'human' self and the spirit self a.k.a. Phantom. After the incident with the Fenton Dream Catcher, he had foolishly concluded automatically that he was two people in one. Now… he was re-thinking that. He had not looked further into the situation, or wonder if the catcher could separate a human from their spirit- their life force that gave real life to their bodies. A healthy body that was still functioning would be like a real robot, not having the spark of true life due to absence of spirit & soul. And not much use either.
Master Roshi walked towards Danny, telling the young man to look at him. He did so, the martial arts master seeing the shame and pain in his pupil's eyes. Once he had his attention, he then spoke, "Now I see the real problem here. You think you are going to turn into this Dark Dan Phantom fellow if you stray from the straight and narrow, right?".
He nodded his head… and it was then that Master Roshi laughed! He started to laugh, which got looks of confusion and such from the onlookers! After some moments of laughing, Roshi than asked in a tone that had mirth in it, "My boy, HOW can you be something that is a fusion of two SPIRITS? And also, did you even bother to think on HOW this future self of yours still even exist even though the time passed for the incident to occur but never did?".
At first, Danny was hurt by Master Roshi's laughter & it showed on his face. But his logical side came in, and mulled on the words of his master. He thought, 'Wait! Wait… he… he is right! How can I become a fusion of two spirits when… when I am still half-mortal, half-spirit? And how Dan is still around… oh darn it! I am so stupid!'.
He then realized it, on what Master Roshi was trying to tell him. He had been blind to see it due to fear… but now he was seeing it clearly thanks to Master Roshi! He said to himself, 'The time medallions! Dan fused one into me, and I bet he fused one into himself! I remember what Clockwork told me once when I visited his realm! He told me that himself & the place he resided in were protected from ALL paradoxes, and that included anything that he made! So… Dan has been lying to me! He exists only because of that medallion! Hehehehehe… he knows that I would never become him, so he tried to mess with my head all that time!'.
Danny then chuckled, then it slowly grew until it was laughter! Everyone was perplexed by this sudden shift and change in action, Kara and Barbara worried that he was pulling a Joker. But to their, and everyone else's surprise, he started to do jump and leap all over the floor. He was cheering and laughing like a child, doing flips and tricks until he flew into the air and just flew around in pure joy.
Master Roshi was smiling and looking on in approval, and it was Yume who also figured it out & soon she too was smiling in delight. Inukami was smirking, apparently figuring out why Danny was doing such a thing. Daria was also smiling, though it was small. She was more intuitive and insightful than most people would give her credit for.
After a couple of minutes, he came back down to the ground. He looked at Master Roshi, smiling still… and gave him a deep bow of respect to him. He said over and over profusely with gratitude and joy in his tone, "Thank you so much Master Roshi! Thank you so much for helping me to FINALLY see!".
The Turtle Hermit smiled back and replied, "You're welcome son. Just doing what I believe a master has to do in order to help his pupils. I am glad that you finally realized it, and that you managed to cut through the darkness of fear and now seeing clearly.".
Cleo inquired in a tone that conveyed her confusion, "Okay, what is going on? I don't understand…".
Danny rose back up, looking to her with a smile and exclaiming, "I finally understand and see it! That I will never turn into Dan! My fear of turning into him was unfounded, not needed! Like Master Roshi asked, how can I be a fusion of two when I am still a halfa? And also, I realized that he exists due to a time medallion that he fused into himself that protects him from time paradoxes!".
It was Daria that spoke up, "So he lied to you in order to keep that fear in you, so that you would stunt yourself due to worrying too much.".
The Fenton lad looked to her, smile still on face and nodding in agreement with her. He replied, "Yup! But now that I have finally seen the truth… I finally feel free! WHOO!".
Realization also hit the rest of the group, and soon the atmosphere turned positive! However, while some were glad for Danny, some others had some dark thoughts come into their heads. Gwen Tennyson thought to herself, 'There is a chance though of Danny becoming something worse. But… right now, there is no need to think on that or like that. He is finally free, so won't rain on his parade like that!'.
After some moments of celebration, Danny managed to calm down and once again thanked Master Roshi for his help. He also thanked Tien for his words as well. While they did hurt… it helped him to realize that he needed to think more clearly on his actions, and also to acquire some real strength. Not the physical kind, but the mental kind that he sorely lacked. He would soon discover that he needed strength in the social, emotional and spiritual aspects as well. Danny Fenton would learn these lessons, both the easy and hard way, but it was needed for him to grow and develop properly.
It was then that Violet and Makoto stood up, the duo soon having the focus on them. Kino-san spoke up, "Since Danny has trusted all of us with this big secret fear of his, I think it's time I started to also trust you all as well.".
Violet added in, "Me too!".
The duo walked from their seats, going to Danny who had a look of confusion on his face that made him look cute & adorable to the ladies. Yume inquired, "So you two have decided to entrust us with a secret of yours as well?".
Violet nodded and started things off, "Yup! Master Roshi is right that we need to start trusting one another if we're to really work together while we are here. So… here is my secret to all of you. I am a Super like Kara, and I go by the alter-ego name of Invisi-Girl, part of the group known as the Incredibles!".
To demonstrate it, she suddenly turned invisible! Only her clothes showed up, and that got some surprise from the group. Danny exclaimed, "Wow! You can turn invisible, and you're not a ghost or spirit like me!". The compliment made Violet blush a little in the face, though no one could see it.
Diana realized something and exclaimed, "Hey! I know that group's names! They are like a family based group I heard in the news! So… does that mean your family are the Incredibles?!".
Krillin asked in a confused tone, "What are you all talking about? Who are these Incredibles, and what is a Super exactly?".
It was Jenny that answered his question, "The Incredibles are a group of superheroes, humans that have extraordinary capabilities beyond humans. That is what a Super is, or has been labeled back home. The group consists of Mr. Incredible, who has enormous strength and endurance. His wife Mrs. Incredible, who also went by the name Elastigirl in her youth, who can stretch and fold her body like it was made of rubber. There is also Red Streak, a young boy who has incredible speed and energy. And there is Invisi-Girl, who can make herself invisible & form invisible force fields that are of great strength. There is another member of the group, but he is a baby. He is called Poly-Power, and apparently he is a polymorph. This means he possesses and utilize many other kinds of superpowers.".
This certainly surprised the natives of the world, and this made them wonder if Goku and the others would be considered Supers because of their capabilities.
Violet then formed a small softball sphere of energy, which was her force field. The onlookers were surprised by this, Danny especially when he looked at the shimmering sphere. He commented in a tone of awe, "Whoa… now that is one cool power!". He touched it, feeling that it was very solid and that it could resist a powerful blow. Violet once again blushed, glad to have impressed the halfa like so.
Jen then looked to Makoto and asked, "So… are you a Super too, Makoto?".
The resident of Japan shook her head and answered, "Not exactly. You see… I am a Sailor Scout from Tokyo, Sailor Jupiter to be more precise.".
Now this got several of the females of the group to be in awe as it showed on their faces. Inukami then inquired, "A Sailor Scout? What is that exactly?".
Alexandra answered with stars in her eyes and awe in her tone, "The Sailor Scouts are one of the very few all-girl magical girls that are superheroines! They are famous in Japan, and their exploits have been shown on TV even in the United States! I am a huge fan of theirs!".
While the ones native to the DB universe had no idea what Japan, Tokyo or the United States were, they could clearly see that the Scouts were like celebrities of sort.
Makoto smiled with a sweatdrop on the side of her head as she remarked, "Yup… that's us. We had no idea we were that popular. I mean, we did see some merchandise at the place we made home but… didn't think it went global.".
She thought darkly, 'That would also explain SOME things that I found on the Internet that just creeps me out, and makes me want to find the people responsible for such crazy theories and such out there & give them more than a piece of my mind!'. Makoto and Minako sadly had the displeasure of seeing the other side of the Internet… the very adult kind that had them blushing badly & also furious on some theories that fans out there developed around them and the others.
And with some less said, the better.
Master Roshi stated, "Ah, that would explain the unusual energies I felt from you and Violet-chan when we first met.".
The duo looked to him, and Master Roshi explained that he felt some unusual energies coming from the two, though he felt more of a magical kind from Makoto then Violet. Puar and Oolong also spoke up on how they too felt the energies from them, but the ones from Gwen Ten and the others were more pronounced to them.
Chiaotzu asked, "Kino-san, do you think you can show what a Sailor Scout looks like?".
Makoto nodded her head, reaching into her skirt to pull out her trusty magical device which was the Star Power Wand! Her old device, the Transformation Pen was destroyed some time ago. And they were soon given new devices; small wands that had a large star ornament on top, with a heart-shaped container of sort underneath the intricate ornament. Each was color-coded; green was for Jupiter, red for Mars, blue for Mercury and finally orange for Venus.
No matter what different kind of clothes she wore, Makoto made sure to always have her trusty wand at the ready just in case of emergencies.
She lifted her hand up and exclaimed, "Jupiter Star Power!".
The wand flashed green and magic started to build up… but that is when something went wrong! Instead of a transformation, the wand's star center started to flash golden… and suddenly a strong pulse of golden energy blasted from it! The blast was quite powerful, a golden shockwave of energy emerging and knocking Danny, Master Roshi, Violet and Makoto off of their feet!
Though he was knocked off his feet, Danny was able to recover quickly. He saw the ladies falling, and acting on natural instinct, zoomed over to catch them from falling! He managed to get Violet first, then flew to Makoto and caught her just in time. The movement and impact were enough to send Danny to the ground, the ladies using him as a cushion to soften the fall.
Master Roshi landed on his back, dazed from the sudden action but getting back on his feet quickly.
Yume reacted quickly as well, going to the front of the arena & putting up a magical shield that absorbed the shockwave from Makoto's wand! The blast was neutralized and kept everyone safe… but the pulse did damage the blackboard and some of the equipment in the room. They would have to be repaired thankfully, not replaced.
Danny called out with his eyes closed, "Ugh… is everyone okay?". He soon opened his eyes… and then blushed as he realized who was weighing him down. Violet and Makoto replied that they were okay, then looking down to see that they were on Danny's chest. The two quickly got off, blushing profusely and apologizing for their actions. Danny got up slowly, saying that it was okay as long as they were alright.
Oolong called out, "What the heck happened?! Was it supposed to be like that?!".
Makoto looked at the anthro pig, then to the ground where she last stood at. Seeing the wand, she went over and picked it up. She answered Oolong's question without looking at him, "No… no, it was not supposed to happen like that. That's never happened before…". There was concern in her tone, and worry on her face.
Musa jumped and floated down to her, using a bit of her magic to do so. When she was near her, she asked in concern, "Makoto, what exactly was supposed to happen?".
The Japanese girl looked to the Asian-looking fairy from the magical dimension and answered, "I-I was supposed to transform into Sailor Jupiter, but… my connection with the planet… I can't feel it. It is what allows me to transform.". She omitted the part that it was due to her past self from the Silver Millennium, as she was not ready YET to entrust them with such information.
Puar flew to her and suggested, "Maybe that's it. Since you are in a different universe altogether, maybe that's why you can't transform because you aren't connected with this universe's Jupiter.". Makoto nodded her head slightly, replying that it was a possibility. Still, she felt unsure of herself since she lost her ability to be Sailor Jupiter.
Danny went to her, putting a comforting hand on her left shoulder and saying softly but with conviction, "Hey, don't worry about it Makoto. If there is a way to find you reconnecting with a planet, we'll find it.". He was taking things in stride now, as he had been exposed to many things now that turned his own world topsy-turvy. But thankfully it was for the better, as it was allowing him to finally grow even if it was bit by bit.
His words and touch managed to calm down the young woman, who smiled softly and nodded her head at him. Her heart was beating a bit faster and she felt her own body temperature rising a little.
Master Roshi looked up to see one of the clocks that was in the room, and saw that it was now 1:15 p.m. He announced, "Okay everyone, I think we all are a bit overdue for a lunch break. So how about we go back to the manor and see what Launch has cooked up for us, hmm?".
Seeing that it was a good idea, everyone nodded and started to file out of the classroom. Makoto was the last one out, looking at her now inoperable wand. She was very worried, and also hopeful that she could connect back with her planet. Inukami fell back a little to walk in step with her, and started to speak to the young woman. She stated, "I believe that Yume will find a way to reconnect you to Jupiter, at least this universe's one.".
Her words gave hope to Makoto… but her next words brought it back down as she finished, "But just keep in mind that while you may CONNECT with Jupiter, it doesn't necessarily mean that you'll still be able to USE its power. The rules are different here than from your world, so just be prepared for anything. Who knows? Maybe the planet will give you a test to see if you are worthy of truly & fully connecting with it.".
While she was versed in some small areas of magic, deities were not her specialty. And even if one did exist in Jupiter, would it aid Makoto?
This did put a cramp in Makoto's hope… but she resolved herself instead of moping! She thought with determination, 'If I have to prove myself to Jupiter to become my Sailor form again, I'll do it!'.
~Later on~
The group soon arrived back in the manor, and just in time as Launch was about to get them to say that lunch was served. Once more, she had outdone herself in the cooking department as a feast was before their eyes! A blend & mixture of Western and Eastern food and drink was spread out before them! The smell alone was enticing, and the food looked very good to their eyes. All of them thanked Launch before going to the tables and getting a seat for themselves.
Soon the place was alive as the group ate together, making small conversations with one another. They gave Launch more compliments for her works of cuisine art, the dark-blue haired lady smiling and blushing from such praise.
It was about 2:00 p.m. when something unusual yet again happened.
A knock on the door sounded off, getting the people's attention. Yamcha rose up and stated, "Don't worry, I'll get it.". He rose up from his seat and went to the living room to see on who it was… which was unusual since not many people knew that the RR main headquarters was fully operational again.
Danny was conversing with Jen and Alex when his Ghost Sense went off, a blue mist escaping from his mouth. The girls were a bit surprised to see the action, and Danny was wondering on who it was that entered that just sent off his special kind of alarm.
After a few moments, the inventor of the Wolf-Fang Fist came back in with a nervous smile. The others looked to him, and were curious on why he had such a face on. Krillin inquired, "Yamcha, what's up? What's the matter?".
He gulped and answered in a strained tone, "It seems that we have… gulp… a special visitor now.". After he said that… floating in on her crystal ball was Fortuneteller Baba! And right behind her was her ghostly attendant Emiko, who was carrying a small brown bag with the Red Cross hospital symbol on it!
Master Roshi spat out the drink he was enjoying, coughed to get his lungs and throat clear of the liquid within, looked to his sister and exclaimed, "Baba?! You're already here?!". Now Bulma, Puar, and Krillin could see on why Yamcha was nervous, as the memories of what happened at her palace was still strong within him.
The small pink woman that looked to be dressed as a traditional witch just grinned at her brother and replied, "Yup! I'm here little brother, and do I have some news for you. Hehehehehe…".
Danny and the others were surprised to see the older sister of Roshi, and also realizing that older didn't automatically translate to bigger in terms of size. In fact, Danny believed that Dani was taller than Baba.
Said woman looked to the group, her eyes taking in the newcomers from another universe. She could already tell that this bunch was truly unique, and she could sense much power and potential within some of them. And when her eyes landed on Nebula, she was very pleased to see a real Interdimensional Dragon in the flesh and blood! Nebula just looked her curiously, not feeling any kind of negativity from the small being.
But when her eyes fell to Danny… she grinned more, which made him flinch as he believed the smile had a little bit of a sinister means behind it. Not evil… but sinister in a certain aspect.
She chuckled and stated with some mirth in her tone, "My, my. So you are the special case my brother told me about. I have to say, you are a bit lanky… but I can feel the power and possibilities within you! Oh my, this will be an interesting time with all of you here on Earth.".
Danny just smiled nervously with a sweatdrop on his head, not even knowing how to reply back to that. Jen and Alex got close to him, in a way wanting to protect him from Baba. Said fortuneteller just smirked, amused by their reactions.
Master Roshi gathered himself and asked, "So did you ask King Yemma if he can help us out concerning Danny? And also Spectra and Phanty-chan?".
The small but potent magical & businesswoman looked to her younger brother and answered, "Yup. He will see Danny and the two ghost women in about four months' time.".
Bulma spoke up in an inquisitive tone, "Four months? Why that long?".
Baba looked to the light-blue haired woman with a frown on her face and answered sharply, "Be lucky that it's not four years, or four-hundred years missy! King Yemma is a busy king in Other World, so be glad that it is only four months. I managed to see him by mere chance, as he looked a bit distraught after sending a certain soul up to Heaven.".
This did surprise the group, but decided to let it be for now.
The fortuneteller continued, "In any case, he told me to examine Danny first. Nothing fancy or anything thorough, just a basic regular check-up.". That is when Emiko went to the spacious living room, put down her bag… and started to take out from it some equipment that was VERY big and couldn't possibly fit inside the small bag! This stunned the group who managed to see it, and Katie wondered if Emiko had gotten said bag from the Warner Siblings.
Baba then looked to Danny, the grin returning and saying, "Once the data is gathered, I'll send it to King Yemma. He'll know what to do and make sure that ogre nurses will be ready to do a more COMPLETE check-up on you, dear boy. Hehehehe… I believe those ladies will be glad to get their hands on you.".
This made Danny blush beet red at this, and causing a majority of the ladies to frown severely at the words. Baba then asked, "So… shall we begin?".
Danny has decided to trust the party with his secret and fears, and it has yielded positive results! Violet and Makoto also reveal themselves, but it seems that Kino-san is not able to connect with her planet! And now with the arrival of Fortuneteller Baba, Danny's going to have to do a check-up… and who knows what Baba is going to do to him?! So what will happen… find out and stay tuned!
In the next episode of Danny Fenton: Season of Growth, Baba examines Danny Fenton and his other half with some discoveries that follow up on Master Roshi's theory on his official status. And also, Inukami takes Gwen, Angelica and Emma to the Multi-Plex Building to get started on the new uniforms for Danny and those training under Master Roshi. And come the following day… the first day of training for both Master Roshi & Yume Tenshi-sensei's students begin!

(Author's Notes: And… cut! That is it for this special chapter that is dedicated to Akira Toriyama! I hope that his fans who read it appreciate it, as in a subtle way, King Yemma was distraught BECAUSE it was the soul of the manga artist that he had judge upon.

I really hope you liked this chapter, especially the theories concerning Danny on certain subjects. On the aspect of the spirit leaving the body & what happens when it is vacant from the shell for too long, I got inspired by a movie I used to watch back when I was a kid. It was called Ghost Dad, a 1990 movie featuring Bill Cosby. And also, other theories concerning certain things that happened in the DP cannon series will come up on down the line in future chapters.
There are many things I do not agree with the series, and will do my best to explain new theories and suggestions that explain them. I have been giving this kind of thing a lot of deep thought, and collaborated my ideas with others who are also brilliant in their own right such as my friends Authors Dreams Come True 996, AdventureKing2017, Data Seeker, Kearitona Sjachraelgil and more!
Also about Danny's trust issues… it is another small but crucial step for him to develop. It's a start, and it's going to be more steps for him & everyone else to take on their journey.
And it's not Danny who will look at new theories concerning himself, but many of the ladies are also going to look into certain matters and events on their own. And also to see what else they may have missed, which will allow them to grow and develop. This story is going to be LONG as I want all of the characters, major and minor, develop and grow in various aspects & ways!
Also… learned some more news that not only disappointed me further with today's media companies and such, but also with my own city of San Antonio, Texas. Something was passed that really disappointed me, and has made me feel sorrow for my hometown. So until this decision gets reversed, going to pray more for my beloved San Antonio.
More ideas and theories will come forth concerning Danny and others, so stay tuned! Going to try for fresh new spins and more for everyone as best I can, while looking to my trusted friends for advice and their own insights/inputs! And also going to introduce some new aspects to the DB world, such as the Other World Community Association!
