Chapter 3: Finding Love
On a beautiful day in the grassy grounds surrounding Askr Castle, Kiran found himself alone with Caeda, the princess adorned in her new armor, radiating with grace and strength.
"Hey, Kiran? Can I ask you something?" Caeda's voice broke the peaceful silence, her expression contemplative as she turned to face the Summoner.
"Sure, what's your question?" Kiran replied, curiosity piqued by Caeda's sudden inquiry.
Caeda hesitated for a moment before speaking, her words filled with sincerity. "Is there someone you love? Someone you would fight and die for?"
Kiran paused, taken aback by the unexpected question. "Well... to be honest, sometimes I wonder why."
Caeda nodded understandingly, a hint of nostalgia in her gaze. "I almost feel as if we've had this conversation before... I'm sorry, where was I? Oh, right... When I met Marth, I wanted to help and support him however I could. But in reality, it was a selfish wish. I wanted to be near someone like him, who made me feel safe. He was gentle, noble, and adored by all, and he believed in me. So I gave everything I could to help his cause. That is how I gave him my love."
Kiran listened intently, a sense of empathy washing over him as he absorbed Caeda's words. "And in return, you and Marth tied the knot and became husband and wife," Kiran remarked softly.
Caeda smiled wistfully. "But if everyone in the world could be true to one another, think of what we could accomplish."
"We have already done so by assisting the royal twins to protect their world from danger," Kiran pointed out, a note of pride in his voice.
"Even so," Caeda continued, her gaze determined. "That is why we continue to fight, even now. We'll keep up the fight to create a better world for as long as it takes! So as people trust me, I must do all that I can to help them."
As Kiran and Caeda stood together, united in their resolve to make a difference, they were reminded of the power of love and friendship in driving their shared mission forward. And as they looked towards the horizon, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, they knew that their bond would only grow stronger with each battle fought side by side.
