"Don't you think it's a little weird? I mean they were fighting before." Charlie sighed and turned her head to see what Vaggie was looking at, her father and Alastor were speaking and there didn't seem to be any fight brewing between the two, but she wasn't certain.
"I mean both of them have fairly good poker faces…That I can't read like half the time." Vaggie snorted and wrapped her arm around Charlie, who wondered if maybe both demons would finally just get along for her sake rather than the constant peacocking she'd seen so far. Charlie could do without them constantly trying to one-up each other. It was kind of weird to see what her dad doing with a demon who as much as he professed to care was also distant at times, and she understood that everything in the hotel was a lot for a demon no matter who they were.
"I'm pretty sure that something's up." Charlie glanced at Vaggie and saw the frown on her face, tapping a corner of Vaggie's mouth. Charlie brightened up at her girlfriend's curious look.
"I'm sure it will be fine! It's not like they're going to fight out right… Right?" Vaggie nodded.
"That's the only thing I'm sure of when it comes to those two." Okay, so that was a good thing! Even if she would love it if they got along and stopped being weirdos, everyone here was kind of a weirdo if she was honest including herself!
Charlie frowned as her phone buzzed in her pocket, withdrawing the device she glanced at the screen before screaming. Vaggie startled windmilled to stop from falling over and Charlie was just so excited! Her mom had texted her! Seven years of silence and now Lilith was talking to her!
She frowned when she realized it was just a message to come to the palace…Was Lilith there now? Charlie dashed away from Vaggie and her questions, sliding down the railing of the stairs and booking it past her father and Alastor who both looked completely shocked by her passing them by without a word. She'd get back to them, but she wanted her mother, wanted to talk about all the things they hadn't for seven years!
"Charlie!" Her father called out, but she couldn't wait besides her parents were on basically bad terms now and she couldn't miss this opportunity even if it might hurt her dad…
"I'll be back!" She shouted over her shoulder, Razzle transforming allowing her to jump on their back.
"Wait!" She heard faintly but she was too focused on heading to the palace.
