Charlie's scream sounded delighted, and he hadn't heard her that ecstatic for far too long, watching her barrel down the railing of the stairs before charging in his general direction, he stopped to think that maybe he wasn't her goal. Charlie scrambled past Lucifer and he gasped as she nearly knocked him over, Alastor grabbed his shoulder before he could fall but released him the second, he had his feet under him, both darting after his daughter. What had her in such a hurry?
She was already outside the door, Razzle running to her side. But something was wrong out here!
"Charlie!" The air felt charged, a tang of ozone striking him in the face, his hair standing on end.
"I'll be back!" Charlie shouted over her shoulder not looking so determined to get wherever it was that she was off to, but a barrier was suddenly forming cutting him off before he could reach her.
"Wait!" This was a trap! Alastor hissed, holding a finger to his mouth.
"Holy energy. You should be the only one who can escape Lucifer at least until we shatter it." This was exactly like their plan, a barrier to keep people in and attack them to whittle down their numbers. Lucifer reached out and shouted in pain as the barrier sparked and zapped him.
"What?" Alastor looked baffled as he pulled Lucifer to him, cradling the hand that had been burnt.
"Come now pet, did you think I was stupid enough to let Lucifer out when it was him, I wanted?" Lucifer watched true fear slide onto Alastors face at the sound of that voice. It disappeared and he turned, giving Lucifer a look at who was behind all of this.
Eve looked dreadful as a demon, a porcelain-like face with a smile so big it made Lucifer's skin crawl. A purple dress with a large slit up one side and hair wild around her shoulders. Alastor was backing away from Eve but keeping Lucifer at his back at the same time.
"Where did you send my daughter?" Eve tilted her head much like Alastor did, but he needed to know if his daughter was in danger or not.
"Lilith agreed that Charlie need not be punished." Lilith…So Eve had probably sent Charlie to Lilith, which meant he could go hog wild without worrying about Charlie being in the crossfire. Lucifer laughed because that was so stupid on Eve's part. Lilith would have known he'd go all out if Charlie wasn't in the way to stop there would be no mercy for Eve.
"The only one here being punished is you Eve, the fact that you think you could kill me is laughable." Eve's smile didn't falter for one second, and before he could continue to rant at her a sharp pain in his side had him gasping. He looked down to find a hatpin in his side, the hand holding it…Looking up Lucifer found Alastor with bloody tears dripping down his face.
"Wha." Eve laughed as he watched Alastor stricken but slowly moving away to Eve's side.
"You thought he was going to be on your side? He did warn you he was on a leash, Luci!" She let out a cackling laugh and all Lucifer could hear was static, he wanted to rip her to shreds and that was what he was going to do.
His wings flickered and his fist slammed into Eve's face, the porcelain cracking under the pressure before he sent her flying into her barrier where she screamed as the barrier kept even her in. She wasn't the host-
"What did she give you to create this barrier?" Lucifer hissed at Alastor who shivered at his dark tone before holding up a bloodstained, tarnished little piece of metal. He knew that hatpin, it had been a gift from Lilith way back when a little golden apple with a single bite taken out of it.
Lucifer used to wear it all the time, and now it exuded power of its own. No doubt because of his constant wearing of it, Lucifer had imparted some of his energy…Which hadn't been as corrupt as it was now, that energy had been through his transformation from an angelic being into a demonic one.
"Take it down Alastor." The radio demon shook his head, looking regretful as he did so.
"I can't…You'll have to kill me to take the barrier down." That…He didn't want to do that! There had to be some other way, but Eve was getting back up and he needed the room to maneuver if she was going to go on the attack.
"Guys, what the hell?" Angel Dust and Husk had come out of the hotel and Alastor sent tendrils at them knocking them away from the fight as Eve finally launched herself forward, claws aimed for Lucifer. At the last second, he dodged aiming to take down Alastor, the demon didn't even attempt to move as Lucifer's claws dug into his chest. They hit the ground and Eve having missed rolled a distance away with a scream of fury.
Lucifer's chest hurt as he looked down at Alastor, tears blurring the other demon as he held a hand up with angelic power swirling around it.
"You have no choice but to Lucifer," Alastor said, his eyes relaying his intent as Alastor grabbed Lucifer's arm and slammed the angelic energy and claws into his chest.
The barrier failed; a cry caught his attention as Alastors soul passed on beyond even his powers.
"Luci, what in the world?" Bee looked at him shocked her hand warm against him, he shivered and moved on autopilot into her arms. "Ozzie, Levi, take care of her- I've got him." The other sins nodded and moved on to go after Eve.
"Someone needs. Needs to find Charlie-she ran off." Bee pulled him further into her arms and stood talking to someone else before she moved towards the hotel, her swaying leading him into sleep.
