Surprise part two! Haha!
Underneath the Foot Shack in the Foot's secret lair Baron, the ex Foot leaders, and Kara were in front of the Dark Armor. The more Kara stared at it, the more unease she felt to the point she took a step back behind Baron.
"We are close. Patience. Soon you will control it's great power." The Lieutenant said.
Kara opened her mouth to say something only to blink when her antennas twitched hearing April and Splinter's voices so she closed her mouth to listen.
"The boys know how important this mission is. They'll be here."
"They must of informed the two after my warning..and yet they're not here? They don't have long til we begin our departure.."
"Wait, did he just call me a pizza?" April questioned, this making Kara chuckle only to cover her mouth and cough to hide it.
"Start packing up the Dark Armor. We're moving it to its final location for the Grand Ceremony." Buff Foot ordered, their underlings beginning to take it apart and pack it safely.
"Moving it? Final location? Grand Ceremony?" April questioned watching them pack up.
"Correct." Kara said in answer to both April's question and Buff's statement.
By this time Kara had followed Baron, moving her hood over her head as they begin to transfer the packages to the van and driving to the train station not knowing April had disguised herself and followed.
By the time they had brought the pieces to the station the train had just arrived, each foot member in line with a package in hand to put inside the train.
"I'm flattered that you asked for my help, Draxie." Big Mama began, placing her hand over his arm and walking around him seductively making Kara roll her eyes under her hood, "May I ask, exactly, what it is that you're moving?"
"You may not." He stated, shrugging off her hand and walking away from her making Kara snicker.
"Rude. I love it! But we both know my train is the only way to secretly move your cargo to the shrine." Big Mama reminded him, having changed into her Yokai form.
"And I am paying a heavy price for you not to ask questions." Baron held out a glowing, orange globe with shadowed hands grasping around it.
"A spider should stick to their webs. They don't know the type of damage curiosity could cause them." Kara said with narrowed eyes to her.
"And the moth to talk back to said spider should watch their tone if they don't wish to be reminded what can happen to them." Big Mama squinted her eyes, giving her nose a playful poke, both glaring at the other, til Baron stepped between them, facing Big Mama with a scowl. This caused Kara to blink in surprise at him but smiled some til the yelling of the recruit had her turn around to see her shouting about holding up the line. She chuckled to herself and walked over to the recruit.
"I swear, the greatest threat to this ancient, mystic clan is line ineffiency! Now move, PLEASE."
This got Kara to laugh, placing her hand on her shoulder, "You'd think those turtles would be the greatest threat. They seem to stop your plans from time to time."
"Oh, please, they are bugs that will soon be crushed beneath my foot! Once we awaken the Dark Armor."
Kara gave her a small smile that faltered quickly, "Do you..really have faith in this evil clan? Does it have to be-" "KEEP MOVING!" Recruit shouted to the line til it all was packed inside. Kara sighed and walked inside, "Nevermind.."
She watched the Foot teens put the Dark Armor back together before dismissing them to be on look out once they had finished though knew deep down they were going to do whatever they wanted. Staring at the armor she squinted her eyes before deciding to follow the foot teen idea and head to the dining area.
Ordering herself a milkshake she drank it slowly, enjoying its flavor, and letting her mind wander back to the armor and the whole plan. Stirring her straw idly she let out a sigh while running her hand through her hair before standing up, leaving the bartender a tip, and making her way towards the portal unaware that the turtles were inside the cart so when she heard her name being called out just as she pressed the button to the first cart she turned around to see the turtles for a millisecond just before she was transported into the cart with the armor.
"So, they were able to get onboard." This brought some relief to her as she stood face to face with the Dark Armor. It felt like an eternity just standing there staring at this inanimate yet seemingly alive object til she ever so slowly reached her hand out and finally made contact with the armor. An electric jolt surged through her as if she felt an immense, evil force trying to take over her body. Flashes of flames, destruction, and piles of dead bodies raced through her mind, this action making her let out a scream before she freed her hand and stumbled backwards.
Sweat trickled down her face, panting with wide eyes, her hands over her mouth. What she saw couldn't compare to what she had been told; this thing was pure evil. And she helped gather it together. She turned around to find the turtles only to let out a gasp when Baron was right in front of her, staring her down.
The aura around him had her frozen, staring up at him in fear as he reached over, moving a piece of hair out of her face to behind her ear, "Those fools of the Foot are useless in stopping our enemies so it's only a matter of time before they reach the armor. You will greet them properly while I ready myself."
"Y-Yes, s-sir..." She lowered her head, trembling hands clenched tight around her shirt as he left.
When the turtles finally arrived she was standing next to the armor and saw they were wearing different garments, blinking at how serious yet, despite the dangers of the situation, handsome they looked. Her brows raised when April was with them.
"Ok, how did you know it was the black button?" April asked, standing up and sliding next to Raph while pointing at him.
"I paid attention to a small, but important, detail. It was the only button they didn't want me to press. Hey! I paid attention!" Raph stared at his hands with excitement.
"I did not rely on my tech once." Donnie joined in, pride written on his face, his arms crossed.
"Raph and I mind-melded." Leo added, right besides Donnie with his arm over his shoulder.
"Awesome! We followed Master Splinter's teachings. We are The Hamato Clan!" Mikey stated along with his brothers, April joining the cheering.
Kara watched them ignore her, letting out a soft huff through her nose while smiling, only for it to falter knowing what was awaiting them in the shadows. "W-Welcome, t-turtles. You're l-later than I e-exp-pected." She took a step around the Armor, now standing in front of it. The guys and April moved to a fighting stance upon seeing her they relaxed somewhat each of them able to tell something was wrong with her.
"Out of the way, Kara. We're here for the armor. We don't want to hurt you." Raph said, taking a step towards her.
"N-No. We h-have to fight. S-Show me what new skills you've acquired." She brought out her weapon but set it with the blade to the ground in a neutral stance, keeping her head lowered, looking neither of them in the eye.
"Why is she talking like that?" April asked in a whisper.
Leo squinted his eyes, lifting his eyelids when he noticed the slightest tremor on her body: She was scared. He was the first one to move, walking right up to her. She flinched, gripping her weapon and moving to attack but he stopped her by grabbing her arm, both frozen in place for just a moment, until Leo slid his hand down to hers, gripping it to where his fingers were intertwined between hers.
She stared down at their hands in surprise til one by one: Donnie, Raph, and Mikey walked up, each taking a hand and smiling softly at her.
"Come on, Kara, we're taking you home with us." Raph said, she finally lifting her head up to meet them in the eye.
Movement caught her eye, staring into the darkness behind them, her pupils shrinking in horror, "Run." She whispered in fright.
The guys looked at her in confusion only for their bodies to stiffen, feeling an immense pressure weighing down on them, their own eyes widening at this predatory feeling that followed with the voice of their enemy, "How sweet. Daddies wittle turtles are all grows up and being heroes." All too familiar vines stretched out from the darkness, slithering towards the petrified human. "He must be so disappointed."
"April!" Raph shouted, reaching out towards her as the vines wrapped around her stomach, dragging her into the darkness, she shouting Raph's name.
Kara covered her mouth in horror, reaching her arm out too only for even more vines to fly out. Despite their attempts to flee the sentient plants they soon were to be caught, their limbs constricted and stretched out making it impossible to break free.
"Good thing he'll never have to look at you again." Baron Draxum stepped out of the shadows, his eyes glowing ominously.
Kara looked away in shame, head lowered as he let out a dark laugh, the train horn echoing outside as they near their destination.
To be continued.
