Dragon Ball GT Rewrite
Chapter 3: Preparations for Take-off!; Blast off to the 7th Universe!"
PREVIOUSLY ON "DRAGON BALL GT"
First, it showed Pilaf gazing upon the 7 Ultimate Dragon Balls.
"Rise! Eternal Shenron! By your name, I summon you!", Pilaf shouted, causing the 7 Dragon Balls to glow brightly, making Pilaf giddy as he beamed before smoke emanated from the Ultimate Dragon Balls with that smoke turning into a bolt of energy as Pilaf watched in awe. Then, that bolt of energy turned into a dragon, shocking Pilaf and Shou. But this dragon was different from the normal Shenron. If anything, his scales are red, his horns are golden and pointy, and his eyes are glowing a bright, iridescent shade of blue. And it wasn't just the gang who noticed, it was also Uub, for one example.
Narrator: "Previously on 'Dragon Ball GT', Pilaf and Shou arrived uninvited to the lookout in a bid to wish for the perfect wedding anniversary gift for Trunks and Mai using the power of the Ultimate Dragon Balls. But Shenron's summoning has not gone unnoticed."
"Huh...?! What the heck is that?!", Uub reacted in surprise on his way back.
Meanwhile, Trunks and Mai were out in the city when they saw the dark sky as well as Shenron.
"Huh...? Is that... Shenron?!", Mai puzzled.
As for Piccolo, he and Pan were training together as usual, but then they stopped when they noticed how dark the sky was.
"Huh? Did the sky just get dark?", Pan asked.
"Yeah..., it did. And I'm afraid I know why.", Piccolo said.
Then, it showed Ultimate Shenron's blue eyes glowed a golden flash. Before anyone knew it, it started to rain down Zeni by the buck in 3 stacks right through the roof of the room, much to Dende and Popo's urgency. When they got there, they were surprised to see the 3 stacks of Zeni tumbling and falling on top of Pilaf and Shou, practically drowning them. Eventually, it stopped. And when it did, Pilaf and Shou popped up.
Narrator: "Thanks to Pilaf's lack of attention to detail, however, he instead found his unintentional wish granted in the form of a close second: 1,000,000,000,000 Zeni."
"Huh?! 1,000,000,000,000 Zeni?! That's not what I was gonna wish for!", Pilaf puzzled.
"Technically, you did, sir.", Shou said.
"Not on purpose!", Pilaf exclaimed.
Later, Piccolo yelled at Pilaf and Shou.
"YOU IDIOTS! DO YOU TWO HAVE ANY REMOTE IDEA WHAT YOU'VE DONE?! These Dragon Balls you both used were the Ultimate Dragon Balls. If you make a wish on them, you have to find all 7 of them and return them all to Earth all within 1 year or else the Earth will be destroyed.", Piccolo said, shocking everyone.
"The entire Earth?! Destroyed?!", Goku shouted in panic.
"So, you're saying that if all the Dragon Balls aren't brought back together within one year from today...?!", Gohan began in shock.
"Not a trace of Earth would remain.", Piccolo finished.
Then, everyone grew worried before Bulma spoke up, leaving Vegeta surprised.
Narrator: "Despite the current situation, however, there was still a ray of hope."
"You mean you actually made something that can fix that problem within 1 year?", Vegeta asked.
"Yep. But we all have to meet back at my place to get started.", Bulma said.
"Well, what are we waiting for?! Let's get going!", Goku shouted before jumping off and flying down.
"Hey, Dad! Wait up!", Gohan shouted.
"Wait for us, Grandpa!", Pan added.
Then, everyone else soon followed after Goku the way they came to the lookout earlier. Well, almost everyone.
"Tch. Raring to go as always, aren't you, Goku?", Piccolo smirked before then flying off after Goku down to Earth, not yet knowing that they were being watched by two demons.
Narrator: "But as our heroes prepare for the journey, two mysterious demons have been watching them, making their own preparations."
"Well, Fu? Sounds like things could get really fun now!", the demoness smirked.
"Well, you're not wrong about that, Ture. More than that, I think it's time we get started on preparations. For the most interesting experiment in the Universe, that is!", Fu grinned excitedly, holding up the 4-star Ultimate Dragon Ball, which gave a bright glimmer.
Narrator: "The perilous cosmic adventure begins, now!"
Act I
At Bulma's house at Capsule Corporation, at the shuttle, everyone was now checking out an apparent spaceship, which understandably had everyone surprised.
"Whaaa?", Goku exclaimed.
"Ta-da! A real-life spaceship!", Bulma presented.
"Whoa! That's really a spaceship? That looks like a huge octopus!", Goku commented.
"At best, the ship can hold a maximum of up to 9 people. Still, passenger count aside, looking for the Dragon Balls in outer space really does take me back.", Bulma grinned.
"So, you said that the spaceship leaves as early as a few hours, right?", Chi-Chi asked.
"That's right.", Bulma responded.
"Then, as long as Goku goes into space and gets all of the Ultimate Dragon Balls, the Earth is as good as saved.", Chi-Chi grinned.
"Yeah. Come to think of it, aren't those Ultimate Dragon Balls like mini Super Dragon Balls?", Goku asked.
"Perhaps, but based on the power we saw from the real thing, we can only guess that the Ultimate Dragon Balls' wishes affect things only in our universe while there's no definite limit to what can happen in the multiverse.", Piccolo responded.
"Wow. I wonder if Beerus and Whis know about them...", Goku puzzled.
Meanwhile, on Beerus' Planet, the Destroyer in question suddenly sneezed, attracting the attention of Whis, Broly, Cheelai, and Lemo.
"Huh?", everyone else puzzled.
"Gesundheit.", Broly spoke.
"Oh. Nice manners, Broly.", Whis said.
"Ahh... That was a big one.", Beerus sighed.
Back on Earth, Videl spoke to Goku.
"Well, it's not like we can just move from one planet to another in one year. And even if we could, that should only be saved as a last resort.", Videl said.
"That's right. It wouldn't make sense to move away from Earth if we're all used to living in it.", Chi-Chi agreed.
"Dad... I'm not sure I wanna lose my home, either. So, that's why... I'm helping you find the dragon balls.", Gohan offered, surprising Goku, Piccolo, and Chi-Chi as Pan peeped over behind Piccolo, who then gave a smirk first.
Then, it was Chi-Chi's turn to smile.
"It's perfect! That'd be a load off my mind.", Chi-Chi grinned.
Then, Pan walked over to Gohan.
"You're going, too, Papa?", Pan asked.
"Yeah.", Gohan responded.
"If you're going, then I wanna go with you, too.", Pan responded.
"Sorry, Pan, but you can't. Goku and your father aren't just going off into space for the fun of it.", Chi-Chi warned.
"That's right, Pan.", Videl agreed.
"But with Piccolo's training, I'm sure I could help them out.", Pan responded.
Piccolo didn't quite know how to feel about getting dragged into it.
"Uhhh...", Piccolo said.
"Believe me when I say you have no idea what kind of scary monsters are lurking out in space.", Chi-Chi warned.
"Well, I'm not afraid of them.", Pan responded.
"Pan, it could be dangerous.", Videl warned.
"But...", Pan began.
Then, Goku spoke up.
"Come on, guys. I'll be there with her the whole time.", Goku assured, relieving Videl and Gohan a bit before they turned to each other as Chi-Chi turned to them for a moment.
"Well..., okay. But you need to listen to my dad.", Gohan responded.
"And be sure to train hard while you're there.", Videl added.
"Okay. I will, Mama.", Pan responded before getting excited as she spun for a bit.
"All right!", Pan shouted as she spun before turning to Goku and holding out her fists, puzzling Goku for a bit before he then understood where she was going and bumped fists with her as she giggled.
Seeing this, Piccolo grinned.
Later, Pan was going up to her father, Gohan as Goku was practicing his punches and kicks.
"Hey, Papa. Can I help you?", Pan asked.
"Thanks for the offer, Pan, really. But this is more like something Bulma and I can handle.", Gohan replied.
"Aw, really? That's boring.", Pan groaned.
"If you still wanna help, try checking with your mom.", Gohan suggested.
"Okay.", Pan nodded before going to the ladder of the ship and climbing inside as Goku still practiced.
Once inside, she met up with Videl.
"Hey, Mom. Do you need some help?", Pan asked.
"That's nice. But I think I'm okay. Right now, I'm just doing some simple tests.", Videl responded, puzzling Pan, who then ventured to examine the key panel, seeing an array of buttons.
"Looks like this button could start the ship up and blast off. Maybe not the best time right now.", Pan guessed.
"Yeah, that sounds about right.", Videl agreed.
"Can I press it when it IS time to go, though?", Pan asked.
"Yes, you can, but only when we're all ready to go, okay?", Videl asked, earning Pan's nod. "Until then, why don't you take Bulla with you for training?"
"Okay. I got some cool moves I wanna show her, anyway. And thanks.", Pan responded.
So, Pan left the spaceship just as Goku noticed Pan leaving.
"Hm?", Goku puzzled.
Curious, Goku decided to catch up to her.
"Hey, Pan!", Goku called, puzzling Pan.
"Oh, hey. What's up, Grandpa?", Pan asked.
"Where are you going?", Goku asked.
"I'm looking for Bulla. I came up with some cool moves I want to show her while I'm training.", Pan replied.
"Really? Maybe I'll go with you. I've got nothing to do.", Goku responded, making Pan giggle a bit.
Meanwhile, in the training room, Bulla was dodging the lasers fired by the drones as she was even flipping past them before stopping one of the drones with her hands as Vegeta watched. Of course, Bulla only missed 3 drones.
"All right, Bulla. That's enough.", Vegeta said before the session ended as the training room, shrouded in a faint red light, turned back to a normal color and Bulla landed on the ground gently just as Goku and Pan entered.
"Hey, Bulla.", Pan waved.
Then, Bulla turned and saw her.
"Oh! Hey, Pan. What's up?", Bulla greeted.
Act II
Later, Pan and Bulla were now at the mountain near a pond as Piccolo happened to be there as well.
"So, you said you came up with a new move?", Bulla asked.
"Well, it's, uh, not exactly new. But I came up with a way to release it differently.", Pan responded.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Show me.", Bulla responded.
"Okay.", Pan responded.
Then, she stretched out her hands.
"Kaaaaaa...! Meeeeee...! Haaaaaa...! Meeeeee...!", Pan bellowed as each hand emitted a blue ball of energy before she held her hands out in front of her, fusing the two orbs into one just as Goten, Hercule, and Valese were just arriving and looked up to see Pan.
"Incredible...! She's concentrating large amounts of energy comparable to Goku's even when she isn't in the usual Kamehameha stance.", Piccolo said in amazement.
"Hey, that's Pan.", Goten said.
"Oh, boy... Here we go again...!", Hercule said, bracing himself.
"HAAAAAA!", Pan shouted, firing her Kamehameha at one of the mountains from the distance, blasting it into pieces with a big explosion.
The aftershock of the explosion had Hercule, Goten, and Valese tumbling for a moment before the quaking ceased with the trio then turning to notice Pan.
"Geez, Pan. Did you really have to show off THAT much power?", Goten asked as Valese became fascinated.
"Tell me about it. I think it might've been the big one this time.", Hercule agreed.
"Any chance I could join in the training, too, Goten?", Valese asked.
"Hmm... Well, you have been keeping up with us so far...", Goten began.
Meanwhile, Bulla was in awe.
"Whoa...! That looked awesome, Pan!", Bulla beamed.
"Thanks, Bulla.", Pan grinned.
Just then, Valese called out.
"Hey, Pan!", Valese shouted, puzzling her as she turned before seeing her.
"Oh! Hey, Valese. What's up?", Pan asked.
"Can I train with you two?", Valese asked.
"Okay. But so you know, we won't go easy.", Pan warned.
Just then, their stomachs growled.
"Uh..., on second thought, maybe after we eat?", Pan asked.
"Oh, yeah! It's a good thing we came over, then. I just happened to be bringing some refreshments.", Hercule responded.
"That sounds great, Gramps.", Pan grinned.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's chow down!", Bulla beamed.
"Well, that figures... Just water for me, please.", Piccolo requested.
Later, Pan, Bulla, and Valese were eating ice cream sandwiches, Piccolo was drinking a bottle of water. At this time, though, Hercule spoke to Pan.
"Are you sure you really need to go to space?", Hercule asked.
"I have to, Gramps. Earth's in big trouble.", Pan responded.
"But I can't let you go...! You're like my baby girl!", Hercule said, on the verge of sobbing as he hugged Pan.
"Oh, it's okay, Gramps. I'll be with Grandpa Goku and the others. I couldn't be more safe.", Pan assured.
"And to be sure, I'm going along, too.", Piccolo said, surprising Pan, Bulla, Valese, Goten, and Hercule.
"You are?", Pan asked.
"But are you sure?", Bulla asked.
"If anyone can hold down the fort on Earth, I'm more than confident that Vegeta and Uub can handle it.", Piccolo responded.
"That sounds great, Piccolo!", Pan grinned.
"So, you're gonna keep her safe, right?", Hercule asked.
"That's the idea.", Piccolo responded.
"Oh. Well, it sounds like she's in good hands, then.", Hercule grinned.
"I want to go to space, too.", Valese said.
This surprised Goten and the others, who reacted, but none more so than Goten.
"Valese, are you sure? I don't think your parents are gonna go for it.", Goten asked.
"I'd at least like to try.", Valese responded before getting out her phone and then calling her parents.
Of course, this left Goten worried for Valese while everyone else was just as puzzled.
"Hello. Mom? Dad? I have something to ask. Can I stay at Goten's house?", Valese asked.
This query puzzled everyone who was with Valese.
"Really? That's great. Thanks, you two. Okay. I'll be careful. I love you, too. Bye.", Valese said before hanging up.
"Wait. You asked them if you could stay at my house?", Goten asked.
"Yeah. Like you said. They wouldn't have gone for me going into space with you.", Valese responded.
"Oh. So, in other words, you lied?", Goten asked.
"Not completely. Space or not, I am still going to be careful.", Valese responded.
"Oh. Well, there's that, but still...", Goten responded.
Later, the main hatch of the room opened up from the very top of it with Bulma spear-heading the preparations.
"Main power on.", the Majin girl said.
"Right.", Gohan nodded before typing in the keys on the computer as Goku, Vegeta, Uub, Goten, Trunks, Mai, Piccolo, Valese, Pan, and Bulla were now near the ship.
"So, you need me and Vegeta to stay behind and look after things on Earth while you and the others are gone, Goku?", Uub asked.
"Yep. That's the idea. I'm confident that you and Vegeta can keep things safe while we're gone.", Goku grinned.
"Just stick with me, Uub, and you'll be kept on your toes in no time.", Vegeta smirked.
"Uh, should I be worried about this?", Uub asked.
"Well, he may seem a bit harsh, but that's just how Saiyans work.", Goku explained.
"Oh! Yeah!", Uub realized.
"Hey, Goku! You better get back safe and sound!", Chi-Chi shouted.
"Okay, Chi-Chi!", Goku waved.
"I can't believe we're going to space, Pan!", Bulla grinned.
"I know. Neither can I!", Pan grinned.
"Honestly, it feels like I'm seeing the spitting image of Goku and Vegeta, seeing Pan and Bulla together like this.", Piccolo commented.
"I can't believe we're actually going into space.", Trunks said.
"I know. In spite of how serious the situation is, I think it might be fun.", Mai grinned, swishing her tail for a moment.
"Really? You think so?", Trunks asked, earning Mai's giggle in response.
Then, Gohan caught up to Piccolo and the others.
"Is everything ready, Gohan?", Piccolo asked.
"Yeah. Everything's up and ready.", Gohan responded.
"Good.", Piccolo nodded.
Then, Goku, Pan, Trunks, Mai, Bulla, Gohan, Goten, Valese, and Piccolo all entered the spaceship, each reacting to the center room, some of which were more surprised in wonder while the rest didn't really care before they went up to the control room where the buttons are on the main panel.
"All right. Care to do the honors, Pan?", Trunks asked.
"Mm-hmm.", Pan nodded.
Then, she reached for the start button for a moment before stopping.
"Is everyone ready?", Pan asked, turning to the others.
To answer, Gohan, Piccolo, Bulla, Valese, Goten, Mai, and Trunks were already buckled up.
"Ready.", the 7 said in unison.
Meanwhile Goku was having trouble buckling up.
"Come on! Give me a second here!", Goku groaned.
After some struggling, Goku finally buckled up.
"Phew...! All ready!", Goku sighed in relief.
"Okay! 3...! 2...! 1...! Blast off!", Pan shouted before pressing the button.
With that, the rocket started blasting off from the hatch and into the skies and beyond.
"Take care, Pan! And be careful!", Videl shouted.
"Take care of yourself, Goku! We'll keep the Earth safe while you're gone!", Uub shouted while waving.
"Heh. Just you wait, Kakarot. I promise that the next time we meet, you wouldn't even recognize me.", Vegeta smirked.
Eventually, the group of 9 were now in space.
"Wow... So, that's outer space? I can see the whole Earth from here. And it looks so far away now...", Valese said.
"Don't worry. We'll be back here before 1 year even passes. Right, Trunks?", Goten asked.
"Yeah.", Trunks nodded as Mai did at the same time in agreement before she looked out the window.
"The stars look beautiful out there, don't they?", Mai asked.
"Uh..., yeah.", Trunks responded.
Meanwhile, everyone else was checking in the gravity chamber of the spaceship nearby.
"Heh. Not bad. I just wish we had more space to do this.", Piccolo said.
"Maybe we'll have more space when we land, Piccolo.", Pan guessed.
"Which, at this rate, would be sooner than you think.", a voice spoke up, surprising her, Bulla, and Piccolo at the sight of seeing Fu.
"Hey, there!", Fu greeted.
"Huh? Who are you?", Goku asked.
"Okay, before you all start pointing fingers, I'm no one suspicious. I'm Fu.", Fu greeted.
"Far be it from me, but that's exactly what a suspicious person would say.", Bulla responded.
"How did you even get in here?", Piccolo asked.
"I'm sorry, but a magician never reveals his secrets. The important thing is, though, I know where the Ultimate Dragon Balls are. Not just a few, but ALL of them!", Fu assured, puzzling the group.
"Huh?", the group puzzled.
"You actually have all of them?!", Mai asked in surprise.
"But how would you possibly know where they are, let alone have them all? The radar hasn't even detected one yet.", Piccolo puzzled.
"Yeah, that kinda sounds like a stretch.", Goten agreed.
"Aw, really...? Oh, well. I kinda expected you to doubt me. So, how about I do you a solid and take you to your first Dragon Ball right away?", Fu asked.
"Huh? Can you really do...?", Goku began before Fu suddenly vanished. "...that?"
"Where'd he go?", Bulla asked.
Then, Fu suddenly appeared outside where the front part of the ship was showing him.
"Guys, look! Out there!", Trunks urged, pointing to Fu, who drew out his sword and created an x-shaped portal with seemingly naught but darkness inside.
"I've got a really bad feeling where this is headed.", Gohan said.
"Yeah. But I don't think we have a choice if he says he knows where they are, especially when he's taking us to one right now.", Goku said.
"But how do you know that he can even be trusted?", Piccolo asked.
"Well, to be honest, he doesn't seem all that bad to me.", Goku responded.
"All right. I guess we could play along for now...", Trunks said, everyone else nodding in agreement.
Of course, when they crossed through the portal, which closed, they appeared to be surrounded with black and red clouds with occasional sparks of lightning from said clouds, not to mention the turbulent atmosphere surrounding the ship, making it quake as if it's falling down and is about to suffer a crash-landing.
"What the heck was that?", Bulla asked.
"That's probably the atmosphere. It's causing some major turbulence.", Mai responded.
"Everyone sit down and buckle up.", Trunks advised.
"Uh, okay...", Pan said a bit nervously before everyone did so.
"Hold on. What's your plan here?", Piccolo asked.
"If and when we see another portal out of here, we're going to make an emergency landing.", Trunks responded.
"What?", Piccolo puzzled.
"At this rate, it'll feel like we'll get shaken into pieces...!", Trunks responded as the ship continued to shake from the turbulent atmosphere.
"You're kidding, right, Trunks?", Goten asked.
"I wish I was kidding, believe me...!", Trunks responded.
"Well, now that you mention it, it is getting kinda bumpy...", Pan said, understandably giving a worried look.
Everyone else was also worried for a moment before she finally spotted something.
"Trunks, look! Up there!", Mai shouted, pointing toward the source of her surprise.
Everyone looked and saw another X opening up.
"It's just like the portal we all came through in!", Gohan realized.
"Even so, we might have to assume that the portal isn't going to last for much longer, so can we hurry this up?", Piccolo asked.
"With any luck, we'll make it out of this safely AND land on a nearby planet. Everyone ready?", Trunks asked.
"Uh.., yeah!", Goku responded, his seatbelt looking quite messy.
"Same here...!", everyone else responded in unison.
"Good, because there's no other way! Here goes!", Trunks responded before the ship went full speed ahead, zooming past the X just before the portal closed behind them.
After a moment, everyone sighed in relief. Then, Valese spoke up.
"Guys, look! Our first planet!", Valese shouted, pointing to said planet.
The closer they're getting to it, the more and more they're starting to see a city on it.
"Wow...", Pan said.
"I know. I didn't think there'd be a city here so soon...", Bulla agreed.
"You think that might be the place Fu said the dragon ball would be?", Mai asked.
"Well, at the very least, I hope so.", Goku responded.
"You hope so? Seriously?", Trunks asked.
"Well, even if it IS a trap, I'm sure we'll get by and try again with the radar if this one doesn't have a dragon ball on it.", Piccolo said.
"Mm-hmm. But we might need to be careful, though.", Pan responded.
"Yeah, no kidding.", Bulla agreed.
"Yeah. But for now... Onto our first Ultimate Dragon Ball!", Goku shouted as the ship approached the planet, not knowing that nearby, while Fu and Ture was monitoring the group of 9 as they're arriving, a sort of arcosian resembling Frieza, but taller and more purple, was noticing the spaceship as he stood on the ceiling by the puddle on top of it amidst the rain was and smirking.
Narrator: "At long last, Goku and company have arrived on their first potential planet across boundless galaxies that has one of 7 Ultimate Dragon Balls. But who are these mysterious demons? And what intentions do they have with the Ultimate Dragon Balls? With these intense, burning questions, the quest for the salvation of Earth begins... next Dragon Ball GT."
"I'm ready, Saiyan. And I'm waiting.", the arcosian smirked.
