Chapter 23: Winning Through Intimidation

"Getting nervous there, Panik?" Yami Yuki asked tauntingly causing Panik to lose his grin as he growls. "Sure I've yet to launch an attack against you and your night creatures and have it succeed, but that will change very soon." She said as her dragon still stood on the field in defense mode.

"Ridiculous. What are you talking about?" Panik asked as the only monster Yami Yuki has is Curse of Dragon, and that wasn't strong enough to beat any of his hidden monsters.

"Don't play dumb, Panik. After all I did make you a promise that in five turns I would teach you a lesson you'd never be able to forget. And I intend to keep that promise. You've only got four turns left, Panik." Yami Yuki warned as she held up four of the fingers on her duel glove covered hand. "Four turns left before I pull you out from within the shadows and expose you for the cowardly bully that you truly are." She said as her plan was now set into motion and there was no stopping it.

"You dolt! Have you forgotten whom you face here?" Panik asked whilst slamming his fist down on the hidden button, causing the flamethrowers to start up again. "I am Panik the eliminator!" He shouted whilst putting extra emphasis on his own name as he spoke.

"Honestly, is this supposed to scare me? Or are you the one who's scared?" Yami Yuki asked as she didn't even bat an eyelash at the towers of fire on either side of her.

"Grr! Grr!" Panik growled as his eye and eyebrow twitched in blind fury at how smug Yami Yuki seems to be.

"Yuki's playing with fires. I sure hope she knows what she's doing." Tea said since at any moment Panik could get trigger happy with those flamethrowers.

"Yeah. This Panik nut job is playing for keeps." Joey said as really Panik could finish this duel, permanently and whenever he deems it necessary.

"Oh, yeah. Panik enjoys breaking people down, making them sweat, watching them squirm. For him, dueling is just an excuse to practice his cruelty." Mai said, her voice wavering towards the end as she spoke about Panik.

"You guys worry too much, my big sister always has a plan." Yugi reassured as it was annoying how people were doubting his sister as Mai only paid him a passing glance.

"You can't stall things forever. Sooner or later, you'll have to make some kind of move." Yami Yuki stated, a smirk still on her lips as she was clearly getting on Panik's nerves yet again.

"Silence!" Panik snapped shakily as his hand shook whilst drawing a card from his deck and then looked at it. "Huh? Huh..." He hummed as he grinned when he saw what the card was.

"Hmm?" Yami Yuki hummed in question with a raised eyebrow as she could just barely see Panik's grin through his veil of shadows.

"Ha ha ha ha ha! This beast will win the entire match for me, King of Yamimakai!" Panik yelled as he put the card face up on the field in attack mode. "But don't take my word for it." He said as the darkness cleared just as his monster appeared on the field, letting everyone see it for a moment. "Powered up with the field power bonus that all my monsters get from the night, my King of Yamimakai is far more powerful than your pitiful creature." Panik said as the darkness soon fades back in, covering his monster from view yet again.

"Oh, no!" Joey exclaimed in worry at what Panik had said about his newest monster.

"King of Yamimakai, destroy her Curse of Dragon!" Panik ordered as there was growling and electric crackling coming from the darkness. "Now my King of Yamimakai..." He trailed off as there was still electric crackling coming from the darkness of his side of the field.

"Heh." Yami Yuki hummed happily, as this was just what she wanted Panik to do.

"Electro-Shock attack!" Panik ordered as his monster roared and launched its attack. "What? It's veering away!" He exclaimed in confusion as the attack veered away from Curse of Dragon and hit the Reaper of Cards instead. "Instead of destroying Yuki's Curse of Dragon... it's attacking my Reaper of the Cards!" He breathed out in shock as his Reaper had moved against its will to take the attack for the defending dragon as its destroyed.

"You're Reaper of the Cards has been vanquished, Panik!" Yami Yuki said with a smile at the fact that once again one of Panik's attacks didn't succeed.

"Alright!" Joey cheered with a smile and a raised fist as they all saw how Panik's attack failed.

"Woohoo! Yay Yuki!" Yugi cheered as well, happy for his sister and the fact that she had made Panik slip up again.

"Panik messed up!" Tea exclaimed happily as she clasped her hands together under her chin.

"No! My life points!" Panik yelled as the attack took 1,506 points from his previously untouched life points.

Panik: 494 Yuki: 1,606

"Curse you and your Spellbinding Circle! Its light drew in my energy blast and destroyed my precious monster!" Panik cried in anguish over the fact that he lost a monster because of his own attack.

"Well well well, your monsters certainly don't do well when they dare step out of the darkness. Now, how about we bring all your monsters out into the light." Yami Yuki said as she placed her hand on one of her two remaining face down cards.

"Huh?" Panik hummed in confusion, was she going to do what he thinks she's going to do?

"I shall dispel all of your darkness with my Swords of Revealing Light!" Yami Yuki said as she flipped over her face down card, putting it in play as the duel arena summons a blinding light.

"Ungh!" Bakura groaned as he shielded his eyes from the light as it slowly got rid of the darkness on the field, slowly revealing Panik's monsters.

"Stop! Stop it! I can't stand the light!" Panik yelled as he was also covering his eyes from the light that was getting rid of the darkness.

"Your monsters have been revealed!" Yami Yuki stated as the blinding light hd turned into glowing swords around the Castle of Dark Illusions and the monsters.

"Ha! No one keeps Yuki in the dark!" Tristan exclaimed with a grin, knowing this meant that things were now going Yami Yuki's way.

"Even Panik's cards are revealed now!" Tea said as the screen on Yami Yuki's dashboard was no longer pitch black.

"No more hiding for you, Panik. Your darkness will no longer shield you and your monsters from view. Three turns left to go, then you're finished." Yami Yuki explained whilst holding up three fingers on her free hand as Panik growls. "I didn't use these swords just to shine some light on you and your monsters. They also cause all of your monsters on the field to be frozen, unable to do anything for three turns... Starting now." She said as the revealed monsters were frozen in place as the yellow light of the swords shined on them. "This means you can't make any kind of attack while I put the rest of my strategy in play." Yami Yuki said as she now knows what she is dealing with as it made putting her plan in action a bit easier.

'Does this upstart think she can panic me? She may be planning an attack on her next turn, but the only monster she has on the field is Curse of Dragon. While I still have three mighty monsters of my own: Barox, Dark Chimera, and King of Yamimakai.' Panik thought as he listed off how many monsters he has compared to Yami Yuki. 'Despite Yuki's Swords of Revealing Light, my monsters still get a power bonus from the night. And after three turns they'll be free once more, and Yuki will beg me to end this duel.' He thought as he frowned, he just has to last three turns and then he can break and defeat this little punk.

"You are stalling, Panik. Are you afraid to draw your next card?" Yami Yuki asked as Panik seemed to be hesitant to draw or play any new cards.

'She continues to goad me. Usually my opponents are sobbing and broken by now, but she is not like the others. I will relish crushing her spirit.' Panik thought as he drew a new card from his deck and looked at it. "Huh? Heh heh heh! And this is the card to do it! Yuki, you can forget your foolish delusion of defeating me in just three turns. I've drawn a Chaos Shield card." He said as he now held said card in his hand as he started to grin again.

"Shit! That card effects all of the monsters on the field. It puts all of them in defense mode and raises all of their defense points." Yami Yuki said as that certainly was going to put a kink in her plans.

"You're thinking too small, you fool. Or don't you realize that I can combine my Chaos Shield with my Castle of Dark Illusions." Panik said as what this card combo would do would keep him protected during these next three turns.

"This is bad." Mai said as this certainly was going to spell bad news for Yami Yuki and her plans.

"What why's it bad?" Yugi asked as he looked at Mai but she didn't answer him as Panik already beat her to the explanation.

"With this combination I can project a defensive shield over my entire area." Panik said as a glowing shield slowly surrounded his monsters and the bottom half of his castle.

"Now Yuki can't get anywhere near his monsters." Mai said in dismay at the fact that once again everything seems hopeless for Yami Yuki.

"What's that mean?" Tea asked since she didn't understand what mai had meant by that.

"Panik's untouchable whilst Yuki's a sitting duck." Mai clarified as there certainly was no nice way of explaining something like that.

"As long as the Chaos Shield is in place, your monsters can't touch me. Do you still think you can defeat me in three turns, you impudent shrimp?" Panik asked with a scoff as he hasn't thought Yami Yuki could win this from the very beginning. "Admit defeat now. You can see how the shield raises the defense points of my monsters." He said as the Chaos Shield raises the already high defense points of his monsters even higher.

'Damn, he's right. That shield's going to protect his monsters from any possible attacks, even possibly one coming from my Blue Eyes White Dragon.' Yami Yuki thought as she may have to consider rethinking her strategy before she digs herself in too deep.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha!" Panik laughed loudly, loving how he had tipped things in his favor once again.

"Hmm, I hate to say it, but Yuki really doesn't stand a chance. Breaking duelists is what Panik does for a living. Panik is brutal, ruthless- everything the ultimate duelist needs to be." Mai said as this caused Yugi to open his mouth with the intent of snapping at the woman for underestimating his big sister.

"Mai, you've become so cynical about Duel Monsters. And you don't understand Yuki at all, really. There's much more to her than meets the eye." Bakura said, cutting Yugi to the quip when it comes to lecturing Mai about the currently dueling heterochromic eyed female.

"Joey, Yuki can win this, right?" Tristan asked whilst placing a hand on Joey's shoulder, wanting to know the other males thoughts on this.

"Man, I wish I could tell ya. But after the way Panik beat Mai, I got no idea what Yuki's chances are." Joey said honestly as he looked up at Yami Yuki, not wanting to discredit her when he doesn't even know what to think.

"Grr! Give up! Admit defeat! I'm going to crack you like an egg." Panik said, he was sweating bullets right now as Yami Yuki laughed and smirked.

"You'd certainly like for me to crack right now, wouldn't you, Panik? Because making other's crack has worked for you before- winning duels with intimidation, not with skill." Yami Yuki spoke as she was honestly cool as a cucumber right now which made Panik sweat even more.

"You mock my skill? My skill is what's defeating you." Panik remarked as he may have fewer life points than her, but that was only because he accidentally destroyed one of his own monster.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that." Yami Yuki remarked back causing Panik to be confused, which honestly wasn't that hard to do.

"What do you mean by that?" Panik asked with a dumbfounded look as Yami Yuki laughs yet again.

"You may think you're winning this duel, that the tactics you use are taking me by surprise, but I honestly saw your strategy the moment I saw what kind of man you are." Yami Yuki explained as it seemed like she actually knows what she's talking about.

"You're talking nonsense." Panik stated as a way to reassure himself that Yami Yuki isn't telling the truth.

"Part of me knew you would use Chaos Shield. Gutless bullies like you are always trying to hide behind something." Yami Yuki said as that was always the oldest trick in the book for bullies.

"Shut up! I'm in no way a coward, and I never try to hide behind anything." Panik snapped, he still wasn't going to let some punk insult him like this.

"Could've fooled me, after all your strategy has been nothing but you and your monsters hiding and cowering." Yami Yuki stated as Panik was certainly trying to contradict her on what the situation actually looks like.

"Unh! Ha ha ha ha! You dare to call me a coward?" Panik asked as he turned the angle of the flamethrowers all the way up, causing them to actually point directly at Yami Yuki. "You insignificant little worm. Nobody talks to me that way!" He exclaimed threateningly as he hit the hidden button with his clenched fist. "I am Panik the eliminator!" Panik yelled as the streams of fire were much more concentrated and headed straight for Yami Yuki's head as everyone on the sidelines gasp in fear.

Yami Yuki however just simply leaned backwards slightly with her arms crossed underneath her chest. The streams of fire simply going past her head harmlessly, leaving little ember specks the air that dissipated quickly. Unphased by the fact that her head could've been burnt to a crisp if she hadn't leaned out of the way in time. Meanwhile Panik was breathing heavily through clenched teeth, his clenched fist resting near the flamethrower activation button. Poised and ready to slam down on the button again whenever he feels the need to try and burn Yami Yuki to a crisp again. At the same time those down on the sidelines whom had unknowingly held their breath in anticipation breathed sighs of relief. Glad to see that the heterochromic eyed tri colored star shaped haired girl was still ok and in one piece. Yugi was especially glad that his big sister was ok after the fact that Panik once again tried to burn her with fire.

"Are you done? Are you, are you done?" Yami Yuki asked as she let out a yawn of boredom at what had just happened. "Or are you gonna keep hiding behind your bluster and your battlements... like a big chicken?" She asked curiously, smirking once again as the last few embers floating around her dissipated.

"Unh! Unnnnnh!" Panik growled through clenched teeth as his body was shaking and his eye was twitching.

"Truth hurts alot, doesn't it, Panik? Coming to grips with your true self is usually more than bullies like you can handle, so you hide within the shadows." Yami Yuki said as she was speaking the truth, however Panik didn't see it as merely the truth.

"You will taunt me no longer!" Panik yelled as his fist was ready to slam down on the flamethrower control button yet again.

"Yuki, he's dangerous. You've just got to stop stirring him up." Tea lectured as at this rate her best and only female friend was going to get herself killed.

"Don't interfere." Mai said as she realized what Yami Yuki is doing as Tea looked at her in confusion. "Yuki's just using Panik's own tactics against him. It's psyche-out warfare." She explained as the others hummed slightly in either realization or confusion.

"Ha, told you my big sister had a plan." Yugi boasted with a grin, clearly proud of himself for being right.

"I will burn you to a cinder!" Panik threatened as everything Yami Yuki has been saying has been slowly eating away at him.

"If you did that then that would undoubtedly prove that you are a spineless coward. If you aren't afraid then you should stop with the hiding and start playing this game with honor. Or I will rip away and destroy that pathetic fearsome facade of yours." Yami Yuki said as it was simple, either Panik plays fairly or she will break him just like he has threatened to do to her this whole duel.

"You bluff!" Panik snapped as there was no way she could beat him with his Chaos Shield in play.

"Well, there's only one way for you to find out- you'll have to play out this game to the end." Yami Yuki explained as this caused Panik to growl for the millionth time during this duel of theirs. "I mean after all, we'll know the outcome of this in two turns. Can you survive two more turns? Do you have the courage to do that?" She asked with an arched eyebrow as she held up two fingers on her free hand.

"Do I have the courage? Errrrr! Panik fears no duelist. I will crush your spirit and wipe out your life points." Panik said with a growl as he barely managed to compose himself even if only for a moment.

"Boy, Yuki really shook Panik up. Psychology is half the game." Mai said as she was honestly impressed that Yami Yuki was able to shake up Panik.

"And now, it's my turn Panik." Yami Yuki said as she placed her hand on her deck and drew a new card. "And my new card is Gaia, The Fierce Knight!" She revealed with a smile as she put said card into play on the field as her knight appeared with a whinny from his horse.

"Idiot! Do you really think a monster with attack power that weak can break through my Chaos Shield?" Panik asked because Gaia, The Fierce Knight only has 2,300 attack points and 2,100 defense points.

"No, at least, maybe not on his own, but incase you've forgotten I also have another magic card on the field." Yami Yuki said causing Panik to hum in confusion as he had momentarily forgotten about her last face down card. "Read it and weep, Panik." She said as she flipped over her face down card, revealing what it was to the eliminator.

"A Polymerization card!" Panik shouted in shock as he recognized that magic card.

"And with this magic card, I combine my two monsters to create Gaia, The Dragon Champion!" Yami Yuki exclaimed as a bright light happened before out flew Curse of Dragon with Gaia riding on its back. "Now my combo-monster's attack power has raised to 2,600!" She said as the combo monster now had 2,600 attack points but its defense was still 2,100.

"The Dragon Champion?" Panik asked since in all his years as an eliminator he's never seen a combo like that.

"My turn's now over, but you're also finished." Yami Yuki stated as now once again everything was going according to plan.

'Finished? What's she mean by that? She knows that even with an attack power of 2,600 The Dragon Champion's still not strong enough to break through the Chaos Shield. There's got to be more to her plan than that.' Panik thought since his Chaos Shield has a defense power of 3,200 as his eyes narrowed. 'Otherwise she wouldn't be so confident. Errr! I can't risk attacking.' He thought as he reached out towards his deck as if to draw a new card. 'But if I just wait one more turn, the paralyzing effect of Yuki's Swords of Revealing Light will wear off. Then I'll deactivate my Chaos Shield, and my monsters will be free to attack her all at once, winning it all!' Panik concluded with a mental laugh as he finally drew a new card from his deck and looked at it. "Hmm. Ah, perfect." He said with a wide grin after seeing what the card was and if it would be helpful or not.

"Huh?" Yami Yuki asked with a raised eyebrow, wondering what was so perfect about that card he just drew.

"Metal Guardian in defense mode. He will further shield my creatures. And the field power bonus raises his defense power to 2,795." Panik said as his monster appeared outside of the Chaos Shield and now stood guard infront of it. "With him on guard, any attack against my monsters is totally impossible." He said as his defense would now keep him safe during Yami Yuki's last turn before he can attack again.

"Ha! It figures that you're cowering yet again." Yami Yuki said as she closed her eyes, this hiding of Panik's was becoming predictable to say the least.

"Insolent bitch!" Panik growled out with a glare at the fact that yet again Yami Yuki was indirectly calling him a coward.

"So far your strategy has been nothing but putting up a defense. Now you're showing just how weak you truly are." Yami Yuki said, sure in normal circumstances defending would be a great strategy but in this instance it would be Panik's downfall.

"Silence! In the next turn, the swords of light will be extinguished. Then I'll hit you with everything at once." Panik said seeing no sense in keeping his plan a secret from Yami Yuki.

"There won't be a next turn for you, Panik. I've led you deep into my trap already." Yami Yuki stated simply as she also felt that there was no use in keeping this information a secret from Panik.

"What?" Panik asked in confusion, thinking there's no possible way that that statement is true.

"The stronger that you make your defense, the more you end up locking yourself into you inevitable defeat." Yami Yuki explained as Panik honestly thought that what she had just said was laughable.

"That's a joke. You're nothing but talk." Panik said as he really believed that Yami Yuki is all bark and no bite whatsoever.

"The time for talking is well past being over. That, my cowardly opponent, was your last turn." Yami Yuki spoke whilst holding up only one finger on her free hand as it was now time to finish this. "Arrrrgh! The end of this duel is now! Catapult Turtle!" She exclaimed as she played the card, a mechanical turtle with a catapult on its back appeared as The Dragon Champion flew out of the way. "Slow and steady not only won the race, but wins this duel as well, Panik. Because I can use my turtles catapult to launch my Dragon Champion and completely shatter your defenses." Yami Yuki explained as Gaia The Dragon Champion fitted itself on the turtles catapult as Panik yelled in shock. "Catapult Launch also raises Gaia, The Dragon Champion's attack all the way up to 3,200. You certainly weren't expecting that, were you now?" She asked as the catapult moved into the necessary position in order to launch the Dragon Champion.

"My monsters defense power is still much too strong for you. Ha ha ha! Protected as they are by the Chaos Shield, you still can't touch them. You can only watch helplessly as they prepare to assault you next turn. Ha ha ha!" Panik uttered with a laugh as his free hand came up to cover his eye as his eye began looking through the gaps between his fingers.

"Whoever said I was attacking your monsters? My target... is your castle." Yami Yuki revealed whilst pointing a finger at the Castle of Dark Illusions as Mai gasps.

"You fool! My castle is still unassailable. Its walls are still invincible to any of your attacks. So I won't take any damage at all." Panik said happily, knowing that his life points and his monsters will be safe from this next attack.

"Well we'll just see about that, now won't we? Turtle, Catapult Launch my Dragon Champion!" Yami Yuki ordered as there was a mechanical whirring sound before her turtle launched her Dragon Champion.

With a screech the Dragon Champion flew towards the Chaos Shield, smashing into it and the castle. Causing a cloud of smoke and a bright light as those on the sidelines gasped and covered their eyes to protect them. Panik however could only yell, seemingly in pain as he couldn't take his eyes off of the light whilst Yami Yuki is unphased by it. When the light died down Tristan was the first to point out that the heterochromic eyed girl had lost quite a good chunk of her her remaining 1,606 life points. She had lost about 1,306 life points to be exact but even that didn't phase her as of right now. After all it was a small price to pay in order to make due on her promise of beating Panik in only five turns. Though currently there was a cloud of smoke blocking everyone's view so they have yet to see what the outcome of the attack was. And whilst Joey and Bakura talked to one another the others watched with bated breath for the outcome of the attack.

Panik: 494 Yuki: 300

As the smoke cleared it revealed the castle just in time for everyone to see its flotation rin crack and then break away. The broken flotation ring hitting the field below with a loud crash as the monsters below are still unharmed. Besides that however the castle was still floating with no other signs of damage or any signs of it being destroyed. Which possibly meant that Yami Yuki's attack didn't work, much to Panik's joy and everyone else's dismay. Said man beginning to boast and celebrate the fact that the attack had failed and that his castle was still floating. Panik was even too busy celebrating to notice that Yami Yuki wasn't phased by the fact that the castle was still technically floating. In fact he wasn't even worried that the castle was still floating despite its lack of a flotation ring. He was just glad that he had survived the five turns and would now be able to defeat Yami Yuki as he flipped his monsters to attack mode in advanced.

"Heh, there's no next turn for you, Panik. This duel has ended already." Yami Yuki said as her frown was soon replaced by a smirk.

"It's not over." Panik argued as his life points are intact and his monsters are safe, meaning he's not beat yet.

"Don't you think it's a bit strange that a castle that has lost its flotation ring is still floating?" Yami Yuki asked curiously as this caused Panik to grumble in confusion. "What if my Swords of Revealing Light had by sheer coincidence locked in place, not only all of your monsters, but as well as your castle? Then, prey tell, what do you think would happen next?" She questioned as the Swords of Revealing light began to flicker slightly.

"It can't be!" Panik exclaimed as he looked up towards his castle and the flickering swords.

"Can it?" Mai asked softly as she was also watching the castle and the flickering swords.

"At this very moment, the only thing keeping your castle afloat are those Swords of Revealing Light. And when this turn of mine comes to an end each and every one of those swords will disappear." Yami Yuki explained as that could only mean that one thing will happen.

"B-But... that means..." Panik stuttered and whimpered in shock and fear as he realized what that means.

"That means it's over! And now your whole world is about to come crumbling down." Yami Yuki clarified Panik's unspoken fear about what will happen next.

"Aah! No! No one defeats Panik!" Panik yelled in protest and defeat as he reach out as if that would stop Yami Yuki.

"My turn's now over." Yami Yuki spoke as she held her thumb face down, the Swords of Revealing Light now disappearing.

With the swords gone the Castle of Dark Illusions bagan to slowly crash down upon the monsters below it. Panik yelled for his monsters to run, trying to get them to save themselves but Yami Yuki pointed out that they couldn't. After all they were still inside the still activated Chaos Shield which left them trapped and helpless. All of his monsters within the shield began to scratch and claw at it as they roar, trying to get out like they were ordered to do. It was all hopeless for them though as the falling castle soon began to crush them, all three monsters roaring and screeching in pain. The castle soon completely collapsing and breaking, destroying the monsters and taking down the barrier with it. Leaving behind a cloud of dust in its wake that had covered the entire field and shielded it from view. When the dust cleared Yami Yuki was the victorious one, Panik groaning pitifully as the rest of his life points are wiped out. Tea, Tristan, Joey, Yugi, and Bakura all cheering now that Yami Yuki won as Mai was silent.

Panik: 0 Yuki: 300

"Nobody defeats Panik. Nobody! Hunh! Look at her, that smug little worm, still she mocks me! I may not have defeated you, Yuki, but I can still eliminate you!" Panik yelled as he smashed his fist down onto the flamethrower control button/box, completely destroying it.

"Yuki!" Tristan exclaimed in fear as Joey gasped, the flamethrowers has started up again.

"She's trapped by the fire! And she can't escape." Joey yelled as what seemed like hundreds of flamethrowers started up, creating a prison of fire around Yami Yuki.

"We'll see who's a coward now. Fire!" Panik shouted as two flamethrowers popped out of his dueling dashboard, shooting fire right at Yami Yuki.

However as the streams of fire got closer and closer to Yami Yuki her Millenium Puzzle glowed. A glowing rainbow Eye of Anubis appearing on her forehead at the same time, stopping the fire before it hit her. However no one else could see that as they were too worried that Yami Yuki was going to get killed by the fire. Though no one could do anything as they had to jump out of the way in order to not get burnt by the fire that was now surrounding the duel arena on all sides. A tornado of fire was now raging around the duel arena and it was honestly a miracle that nothing else had caught on fire. It just kept raging around the arena, keeping the other's a safe distance away whilst also keeping them from seeing what was going on inside it. Which was both Panik and Yami Yuki, unharmed, with the eliminator staring at her in a mix of shock, aw, and fear at what was going on. As he has never had something like this happen before when he's tried to eliminate someone.

"You survived! How can this be? It's impossible!" Panik yelled in shock as he stared at Yami Yuki with wide fearful eyes.

"My Millennium Puzzle protects me from this cowardly assault of yours. But there will be nothing that can protect you from..." Yami Yuki trailed off for a moment as Panik backed up in fear, like that would actually save him. "Oblivion!" She exclaimed as she destroyed the evil in him just like she had with Seto as he screams.

When the flames disappeared Yami Yuki was unharmed and Panik was unconscious as their platforms brought them down. When she got down from her platform her friends came over to praze her whilst her little brother was checking her over. Wanting to make sure that she was ok and that there were no injuries on her person that they need to worry about. Yami Yuki was silent though as she walked past her friends in order to approach Mai. Said female not really knowing what to say to the shorter girl in regards to what had happened. After all once again she had underestimated Yami Yuki's abilities as a duelist and has been since the beginning of the tournament. Yet every time she sees the heterochromic eyed girl duel she always ends up getting proven wrong by her. This time more so than any other time she has witnessed her dueling someone.

"Here Mai. These are your star chips." Yami Yuki said whilst holding out her open hand, eight star chips resting in the palm of her hand that she had somehow taken from Panik.

"Uh..." Mai mumbled whilst looking at the star chips that were being held out to her.

"Mai, they're yours. Take 'em." Yami Yuki urged seeing as she had won them for Mai and Mai alone.

"Go on." Tea urged as well as it seems like Mai is hesitant to accept the star chips.

"I'm sorry, but I can't accept them. I fight my own battles." Mai said after some hesitance as Yami yuki just looked at her with a straight face.

"Mai, Yuki battled for you. She risked her life in this battle for you." Ta stated as she was honestly shocked that Mai wasn't going to accept the star chips.

"Yeah! My big sister didn't have to do that you know!" Yugi added with a frown as he was also confused as to why Mai wasn't accepting the star chips.

"I know, but-." Mai started to attempt to argue yet again despite being urged to accept the star chips.

"Heh heh. There's no point in arguing. She's way too thick-headed." Joey said as he walked up behind Yami Yuki and grabbed the star chips from her hand as she hummed in confusion whilst glancing at him. "But if she'd rather be booted off the island, I'll take 'em. Ha ha ha ha ha!" He said with a laugh and a closed eyed smile in Mai's direction as she growls.

"You think me losing all my star chips is funny, Joey Wheeler?" Mai asked loudly as she looked about ready to rip Joey a new one.

"I thought you didn't want 'em, Mai." Joey said as he soon was playing keep away with Mai's star chips by holding them out of her reach.

"Give 'em back!" Mai yelled whilst reaching out trying to snatch back the eight star chips as Joey smiles.

"Of course you can have 'em. They're yours." Joey said whilst placing the stars in Mai's hand that had been reaching up to try and take them back.

"Uh... Really, Joey?" Mai asked after bringing her hand down in order to look at the star chips that are in her hand.

"Didn't you learn anything from this duel? You can't always keep your defenses up. 'Cause they'll just get between you... and other people who are trying to be your friend. So, can't you let your shield down... just this one time?" Joey asked hopefully as he continued to smile at Mai, Yami Yuki smiling as well as she nods encouragingly.

"Hmm." Mai hummed thoughtfully, it wasn't a no but it certainly wasn't a yes either.

"Heh heh! I'm such a sensitive guy." Joey said whilst stretching his arms high above his head.

"Yeah, when you're not being a pain." Tristan said as he started walking away as some of the others followed after him.

"Which is most of the time." Tea added as the others laughed at her comment as they walked.

"Ah, my adoring fans." Joey stated happily as they walked, knowing that they were all just joking with him as Mai had left.

"Yugi? Little brother what are you doing?" Yami Yuki asked when she noticed that Yugi wasn't walking with them. "Yugi!" She exclaimed in worry as everyone stopped in order to see that the younger Muto sibling was doing something next to Panik's unconscious body.

"I just wanted to get these for big sis!" Yugi called out as he ran back over and held out his hand, showing Yami Yuki the five star chips he had took from Panik.

"Yugi, I didn't duel to win star chips for myself." Yami Yuki reminded as she kneeled down to Yugi's height so they were eye to eye.

"I know, but maybe we keep them just in case." Yugi suggested as he held out the five star chips to Yami Yuki yet again. "After all you won fair and square, and he's a creep, he doesn't deserve all those star chips." He added as he glanced back at the still unconscious Panik for a few seconds.

"Hmm, alright, we'll keep them just in case." Yami Yuki finally agreed with a small smile, accepting the stars and putting them in her pocket.

This made Yugi smile as he watched Yami Yuki, whom had changed back into regular Yuki as she grabbed her backpack and put it on as she stood up. Then the two Muto siblings walked side by side as they caught up with Joey, Tristan, Tea, and Bakura. All of them walking away from the dueling arena, leaving behind Panik's unconscious body still on the red platform. That might not have been the nicest thing to do but its not like there was a hospital on the island that they could take him to. Nor could they tell one of those creeps that kick people off of the island when they have no star chips. If they found out that Yuki had won back Mai's star chips for her they may call that cheating and then kick both girls off of the island. Which is not something any of them wanted, especially since that would prevent Yuki from saving her grandpa from Pegasus.
