Chapter 30: Face Off: I Think Not!

"Ah, Kaiba. I knew you'd come for Mokuba eventually." Pegasus stated, seemingly unaffected by the death glare that Seto was giving him.

"Oh, you did? Well, tell me something, Pegasus. Did you also foresee what I'm about to do to you for harming my little brother?" Seto asked, rage radiating off of him in waves despite the fact that there was no noticeable change in his posture or tone of voice.

"Actually, Kaiba, I predict you won't lay a finger on me." Pegasus stated as he leaned his head forward a bit.

"And why is that?" Seto asked, the brunette male not feeling in the mood for games right now.

"Ha ha ha ha ha. Mm." Pegasus hummed as he lifted his head up, his Millennium Eye peeking through his curtain of hair as it shined dangerously in the dim lighting.

Back with Yami Yuki she still had both of her fists clenched as she held them up, waiting to see if the ParaDox brothers were ready. They however said noting as they stared intently at the short female with tri colored star shaped hair. Scowls on their faces as they watched as Yami Yuki seemed to be weighing her options as she looked at her fists. Finally though she opened her left hand, revealing the coin with Dox's symbol on it resting in the palm of her hand. Upon seeing the coin Para and Dox smirked once again as they began to speak in rhymes once again. Making it clear that they were playing along and pretending like they didn't know if she chose good or poor. Yami Yuki was silent though, her right fist still clenched and raised as she had a knowing smirk on her lips. Para and Dox didn't notice the smirk though as they were having too much fun holding the the prospect of knowing the right answer above their heads.

"Come on. Was it Para?" Joey asked, quickly getting fed up with not knowing the truth.

"Or was it Dox?" Tea asked since they weren't going to get answers just standing there waiting for the brothers ParaDox to say something.

"Yeah, fess up!" Tristan exclaimed, mirroring Joey's feelings about being fed up without knowing the truth.

"I still say we outta kick the crap out of them to get the true answer." Yugi grumbled from his spot next to Yami Yuki with his arms crossed.

"Hmm." Yami Yuki let out a small hum as she waited, watching as the brothers ParaDox laughed some more.

"I say..." Para began to say before he trailed off whilst staring down at Yami Yuki with a satisfied smirk.

"You choose wrong! It was my doorway..." Dox said, trailing off whilst motioning towards his door with his left hand.

"All along!" Para finished, both brothers acting as if Yami Yuki had chosen the wrong door as the Joey and the others looked at them like they were insane.

"Ha ha ha ha." Para and Dox let out a bellow of laughter in unison, enjoying the fact that they believed that Yami Yuki chose incorrectly.

"So Dox's door was the right one?" Tea asked, confused as to why the brothers ParaDox were laughing about a right choice.

"Hardly." Yami Yuki stated in response to Tea's confusion, her right hand still held up in a clenched fist.

"Huh? Oh, yes, it was." Para said, both him and Dox looking puzzled at the fact that Yami Yuki challenged what they were saying.

"On the contrary. See if we had picked Dox's door, then Para's would have been the correct door." Yami Yuki said as her eyes then narrowed accusingly at the twins that stood before her. "You're able to change which door leads to either path, can't you? Ensuring that no matter what door we chose, we chose wrong." She revealed as Para and Dox had lost their smirks, sweating profusely at being caught.

"That's no fair. You guys cheated." Joey stated, outraged at this new information.

"Too bad. Too late. You chose a way and that means..." Dox said as this caused him and Para to cross their arms as they regain their satisfied smirks.

"In this maze you will stay." Para declared causing Yami Yuki to smirk yet again.

"Actually, dumb and dumber, you never saw our choice." Yami Yuki said as she held out her right fist and opened it, revealing yet another coin with Dox's symbol resting in the palm of her maroon gloved hand.

"The Dox coin!" Joey exclaimed as everyone besides Yami Yuki looked upon the coin in shock.

"I had a feeling that you'd pull a stunt like this, so I pulled one of my own with these two coins." Yami Yuki began to explain as she held up on of the coins for all to see. "Instead of putting just one door insignia on them both, I marked the second coin with both symbols." She said as she tossed the second coin into the air, as it flipped in mid air it showed one symbol on the front and the other on the back. "One symbol for the front, the other for the back. That way, we could never lose in this game of chance." Yami Yuki said, catching the coin as Para and Dox recoiled in shock at this new information.

"Ha! Beat ya at your own game." Joey said with a smirk, feeling proud of Yami Yuki for cheating the cheaters.

"Both of them." Yami Yuki added since this will be the ParaDox brothers second defeat at their hands. "Now you'll have to excuse us, we've got a score to settle with that boss of yours." She said because now there was no need to waste another second down in this maze.

"All right, then. On to Pegasus's castle." Joey said as the double doors of Dox's door swung open with a low creak, revealing the path out of the maze.

Back with Seto it was still a standoff between him and Pegasus. Neither male had moved from their spot nor had they made a move that showed they meant the other one harm, yet. Though the feeling of wanting to hurt the other was only felt by Seto as he stood in a tense guarded stance near Mokuba's cell. Ready and willing to pounce on Pegasus if the silver haired male even dared to think something insulting about him. Whilst the silver haired male stood there very relaxed, seemingly without a care in the world. Not even worried that there might be the smallest chance that Seto will try to bash his head into the brick wall till his face is bloodied and bruised. Which could indeed happen, seeing as the cobalt eyed male was obviously not in a merciful mood at the moment. However Maximillion Pegasus was not someone that should be underestimated, and Seto was about to learn that the hard way...

"You conniving snake. I should take you down right now for what you've done to Mokuba." Seto hissed out, spitting out each word as if it was venom in his mouth that needed to be gotten rid of quickly.

"Don't be ridiculous, Kaiba-boy. In my dungeon, in my castle, in my realm, the only one who makes threats... is me." Pegasus said as his Millenium Eye began to shin brightly, causing Seto to close his eyes against the bright light as he grunts in discomfort.

"Aah!" Mokuba yelled in response to the bright light before falling silent as the light dies down, falling to the ground face first with a thud.

"Mokuba?" Seto asked as he opened his eyes and looked towards the motionless form of his little brother on the cell floor as Pegasus snickered. "You monster! What have you done? What have you done to him?" His asked, feeling panicked as he demanded answers from the man whom now held a duel monsters card up with a picture of his little brother on it. The picture looking as if Mokuba was trapped, his hands up and pressed against nothing with his mouth open like he was calling for help.

"It's just a little magic trick." Pegasus stated, not at all phased by Seto's demands for answers.

"Tell me, what have you done?" Seto asked with a growl to his voice and his hands clenched into fists.

"I've ensured your cooperation, for, you see, Mokuba's soul is now imprisoned in a place where the locks can't be picked." Pegasus said as he lowered the card that was a link to the trapped Mokuba's soul.

"You're mad!" Seto exclaimed, not at all believing that his little brother's body was now a soulless shell.

"And there he will remain, Kaiba-boy, until you beat me in a duel." Pegasus continued, not even batting an eyelash at Seto calling him mad.

Seto upon hearing that had been fully prepared to duel Pegasus right then and there. However the silver haired male had an ultimatum for the brunette, for first he has to defeat Yuki in a duel. Only then would he have earned to right to have a duel against Pegasus despite not being in the tournament. This revelation had caused Seto to fall silent instantly. He wanted to save his little brother's soul but, the thought of getting in Yuki's way after all of the hard work she's done left a knot in his stomach. Did he really want to get in her way just to satisfy some mad man? This inner turmoil left a bad taste in his mouth, Seto has never had to experience this type of thing before and for a moment he thought he was ill. That certainly would explain why he felt sick and why thinking about Yuki made his heart flutter and left his hands feeling sweaty. Or maybe those were from the panic of having his brother fall to the ground motionless, not even seeming to breath, without knowing what really caused it. Cause every logical part of his brain certainly wasn't going to believe that Pegasus had stolen his brothers soul.

In the end Seto had left the dungeon with five star chips from Pegasus in hand and a bitter taste in his mouth. Meanwhile outside of the castle Joey was the first of their little group to come out of the maze exit out into the nice warm sunshine. Celebrating and stretching his arms out above him as everyone came up the stars. Tea, Yugi, and a now back to normal Yuki being the last of their group to walk up the stone man made stairs out of the hole in the ground. Bakura had been extremely focused on his Millennium Ring though as one of the hanging down spikes glowed and pointed straight up into the air. Causing Tea to point out that it was pointing at Pegasus's castle, the maze exit had let them out right near the stairs that led up to it. And as they stood there looking up at the castle the brunette female of the group couldn't help but look at Yuki as she slowly put the clues together. It had been hard to notice at first, seeing as her friend and the person who shows up when she duels are so alike yet different at the same time.

The fact that helped Tea fully realize this was the duel in the Shadow Realm where Yuki was in the duel, but Yami was in control of her body. Coming to the conclusion that the seemingly more experienced version of her friend was coaching the actual version of her friend. Yuki, whom was looking at her full dueling glove, noticed that Tea was staring at her. Though she didn't have time to get an answer from the other girl as Joey called out to them from at the first flat point on the stairs with Tristan and Bakura. Then, after a moment of reminiscing about how Yami Yuki saved Tea from a mugger, it was a mad dash up those stairs. The others had been kind enough to wait for Yuki, Tea, and Yugi even though they didn't have much of a choice in the matter. After all if they don't have the heterochromic eyed girl there then there is the possibility that the majority of their little group won't be let inside. None of them wanted that since they want to be there to cheer Joey and Yuki on during the rest of their duels.

"Fucking demon stairs, I really gotta work on my cardio when we get home..." Yuki panted out as they got closer and closer to the top where the castle was.

"My legs feel like their gonna fall off." Yugi whined as he walked next to his big sister, he had wanted to show her he didn't need to be carried but the 8 year old was regretting it now.

"You'd think someone as rich as Pegasus would put in an elevator." Joey grumbled, though him and the others weren't as winded as Yuki and Yugi were.

"Hey, guys, look. You're not gonna believe who's blockin' our way into the castle." Tristan said, drawing everyone's attention to Seto as he stood at the top of the stairs, staring down at them with his arms crossed.

Upon seeing said brunette Yuki grumbled incohorrently as she walked the rest of the way up the stairs towards him. Seto opened his mouth to say something once she was close enough but her holding out a finger as the universal sign for "one second" stopped him. His cold stare wavering and turning to one of shock as he watched Yuki suddenly leaned her forehead against his chest as she stood before him. His coming uncrossed and hovering on either side of the panting female, not knowing what to do as he looked down at her. Yuki came up to about mid chest on Seto as she stood there, eyes closed and practically leaning all of her weight on him as she caught her breath. Joey, Yugi, and the others watching on feeling just as shocked as the cobalt eyed male was as this was strange behavior for the small female. Yuki honestly didn't know why she did this either, she just felt the sudden urge to lean against something whilst catching her breath and Seto looked a lot more comfortable than Joey or any of the others did. Soon however Yugi couldn't help but let out a small snicker, realizing that his sister was using the brunette as a comfortable place to rest.

"A gym membership, for Christmas. Somebody write that down..." Yuki uttered through her panting as she still had yet to move from her spot. "What do you want, Seto?" She asked once she caught her breath, looking up at Seto as she slowly moved out of his personal space.

"I can't let you pass, Yuki." Seto said as he forced himself to get over his shock about what had just happened as that answer caused a look of annoyance to come to Yuki's face.

"Listen Seto, I have had a long day today. I'm usually not a complainer, but I had to run away from fake boulders, got trapped in a cave, had to walk through an underground maze. Only to have to duel two annoying bald twins just to be able to get here." Yuki said, annoyance and exhaustion dripping off each word that she spoke. "Then I had to trek all the way up those demon stairs only for you to get in my way and have the audacity to tell me that you can't let me pass." She said, her annoyance turning to her just being done with everyone's shit for today.

"I-." Seto tried to say something, caught off guard by the sudden change in the way that Yuki is talking to him.

"No. You don't get to say shit right now." Yuki said, cutting Seto off before he even got to say a word in edgewise. "I have worked my ass off to get these ten star chips, I have earned the right to get into that castle. Now all I want to do is get in there, listen to whatever bullshit that comes out of Pegasus's mouth, eat a meal that's not out of a bento box, and take a nice hot shower." She said as she attempted to move past the brunette towards the castle door.

"I have star chips, Yuki." Seto stated after having found his voice again as he held out his arm infront of Yuki, stopping her from moving past him. "Tournament rules state that I am allowed to wager those in a duel against any duelist that I choose to challenge." He said as this caused the heterochromic eyed girl to let out a disgruntled huff as she dug around in her jacket pocket.

"You want star chips so badly? Then fine, here!" Yuki said as she pulled her hand out of her pocket and slapped it against Seto's chest.

"Ngh." Seto grunted quietly at the sudden hit to his chest, fumbling to catch the five star chips that Yuki had let go of when she pulled her hand away from his chest.

"Take the damn star chips. You got five before you came out here, right? Welp those five make it ten, now get outta my way." Yuki ordered as she motioned for Seto to get out of my way. "I said get out of my way Seto!" She snapped when the cobalt eyed didn't move right away, causing him to blink in shock and move out of the way.

"Uh, ma'am..." The goon standing guard at the door uttered hesitantly as Yuki, whom was radiated pissed off energy as she approached the castle door that was beyond the castle gate. Yugi, Seto, and the other's following a few steps behind her as he was about to say that only duelists are allowed in the castle.

"What?!" Yuki snapped, practically giving herself whiplash at how fast she turned her head towards the goon with a snarl on her face.

"N-Nothing. Enjoy your stay within the castle." The goon said, his protests dying in his throat upon seeing the furious snarl on Yuki's face.

"Don't tell me how to feel about my stay in this Pegasus infested hell hole." Yuki grumbled to herself as she quite violently put her ten star chips in the lock on the door. "I'll have an enjoyable stay if I wanna have an enjoyable stay." She continued to grumble as she placed the last star in, turning the middle knob causing the lock to unlock and the double doors to swing open. "Pegasus loving suck up." Yuki hissed out as she stomped passed the stiff nervously sweating goon through the opening that was in the doors.

Yugi, who was indifferent to his older sister's rage, simply followed after her whilst laughing at the fact that the goon looked ready to piss himself. Joey, Tristan, Tea, and Bakura however followed behind their friend at a much safer distance with Seto bringing up the rear of the group. What greeted them was a mint colored hallway with a wooden double door that led to a forya room with a set of stairs covered in a purple carpet. Seeing more stairs didn't exactly lighten Yuki's mood, nor did the twisting turning hallways that led to a balcony overlooking a lower floor. Where none other than Bandit Keith stood leaning against the railing, looking down to the floor below. Which meant that the lying weasel had actually managed to become a finalist in the tournament. On the balcony standing farther away from them was Mai, meaning that she got ten star chips too. At some point during the trek up there Seto had disappeared but no one had noticed it just yet. Joey, upon seeing Bandit Keith, opened voiced his disdain for the sunglasses wearing male who still is wearing his sunglasses inside.

"Huh?" Bandit Keith hummed in question, turning to look at the group when he heard his name. "Well, what do ya know? If it isn't big, tough Joey and his whole crew of duelin' dummies." He said as he stood in a nonchalant pose with one forearm resting on the railing.

"You slime bucket! I've been waitin' to find you ever since you left us trapped in that cave." Joey said, letting out a growl and letting out a battle cry as he charged at Bandit Keith, trying to punch him.

"Missed me. Whoops. Too slow." Bandit Keith stated as he dodged the first few punches that Joey threw at him. "Can't this little grudge of yours wait?" He asked, having caught the last punch and was wrenching the shorter males arm downward slowly.

"You wish, creep." Joey said as having his arm wrenched downward was like a power struggle between him and Bandit Keith.

"Ok. Suit yourself. But the real action is about to start." Bandit Keith said, releasing Joey's hand as he looked back down at the floor below the balcony.

"The real action?" Joey asked as him and the others slowly inched closer to the balcony. Looking below to see Seto standing down below on a bridge over what seemed to be a bottomless pit where the room floor would be.

"Yeah, the world champ and Pegasus." Bandit Keith stated as they stared down at Seto who stood still as a statue.

"It's Seto down there, how'd he get down there?" Yuki asked more to herself as she practically leaned over the balcony railing to get a closer look.

"I'd hoped to get first crack at the old man myself, but you know they save the biggest match for last." Bandit Keith explained as he was definitely hinting at something that Yuki caught onto immediately.

"Wait. Are you saying they're gonna have a duel right now?" Yuki asked with a frown, Seto had pulled the tournament rules bullshit on her before so this didn't seem fair.

"That is correct." Croquet stated as he approached the group from behind, causing them to turn and look at him as they hummed in question. "Welcome, finalists. I'm Croquet, chief tournament liaison. Congratulations on making it this far. Pegasus is quite taken with all of your dueling talents. In fact, he's so impressed, he wanted to reward you with some entertainment- a special exhibition match. I think you'll all be quite in awe of what you're about to see. Hmm. This match should give you an idea of what's in store for all of you." He said as he was talking like this duel was just a demonstration.

"So basically, it's meant to intimidate us, huh?" Mai asked, finally saying something for the first time since they saw she was there.

"Why would Pegasus do something like that?" Croquet asked, feigning innocence despite knowing how twisted his boss can be.

"'Cause he's a grade-A nut case." Joey stated pulling an amused chuckle from the otherwise stoic Croquet.

"Enjoy the match." Croquet said before he turned and walked away, leaving the group to their attention back to what was below the balcony.

It didn't take long for Pegasus to walk through the door that was facing Seto, walking out onto the bridge with two goons in tow. Each goon held a purple velvet pillow with something resting atop it as the two CEO's spoke to one another. It became obvious very quickly that Mokuba was in alot more trouble than Yuki had first realized that he was in. Which made her feel guilty for snapping at Seto, but she was still mad about what happened so she wouldn't be trying to apologize yet. As Yuki looked down at Seto she didn't really pay attention to what anyone was saying as her mind was all a buzz with thoughts and emotions. She could relate to wanting to stop at nothing to get back a loved one from Pegasus all too well. She knows how panicked and desperate it can make someone feel, not knowing how to do it or how long it will take to get them back. As Yuki was deep in thought she noticed how both Seto and Pegasus had turned their heads to look at her.

One with an unreadable look in his cobalt blue eyes and the other with a smirk and a knowing look in his amber brown eye. The look from Pegasus caused a shiver of disgust to go down Yuki's spine, whilst the look from Seto caused a warm, fluttering feeling in her chest. Neither male stared at her for long though as they got down to business about the duel. This caused Seto to immediately pull out one of his duel disk systems and threw it to Pegasus who caught it. Him and his goons letting out gasps of shock as it happened, none of them certainly expected that. Right away though Pegasus began to goof around with the device, even going so far as to roll it on its side like a ball as his goons rushed to catch it. Seto wasn't in the mood for games though as he snapped at the older male, bringing his attention back to the situation at hand. The next thing that happened chilled Yuki to her very core as she watched with wide eyes.

Mokuba, at Pegasus's request, was paraded out shackled to a goon like a dog on a leash. A cold, lifeless look in his glazed over eyes as he looked at Seto who was confused that his brother just stood there not even trying to get away. Fear soon gripping at Yuki's heart as she realized what was wrong with the youngest Kaiba brother, his soul had been taken. Just like Seto she also began to tremble, but not out of rage, she began to tremble out of fear. She had never even thought about it before but, if this is what happens when Pegasus uses his Millenium Eye. Then what exactly happens to the majority of the people that Yami uses the power of the Millenium Puzzle on? Did they all get as lucky as Seto and have their mind freed of whatever darkness that plagued them? Or, did something much... darker happen to them at the hands of Yami and she just never noticed it? All the what if's and the unknown outcomes left Yuki feeling thoroughly freak out.

Yuki had been so deep in thought that she hadn't even noticed how Mokuba was gone until the bridge had separated and a duel arena came out of the bottomless pit floor. By then she had been so panicked at that she was close to hyperventilating as Yugi and her friends were saying her name questioningly. Obviously concerned about her silence as well as the wide eyed, fearful look that was on her face and how she looked three shades paler. Yuki was ignoring them though as she watched how Seto and Pegasus prepared to start their duel. In that moment she had made up her mind, this was like a wake up call for the heterochromic eyed female. There was no way she was going to let anyone else end up like that, not by Pegasus's hands... and not by her's either.

"Hey!" Yuki shouted, catching the attention of both males down below.

"Do you object to something, Yuki-girl?" Pegasus asked, an amused tone to his voice as he suspected that Yuki did object to something.

"Yeah, I do." Yuki stated, feigning confidence to cover up how terrified she currently felt. "He shouldn't get first crack at you just cause you handed it to him on a silver platter. He's got star chips just like the rest of us, make him earn the right to duel you." She said as she could feel Seto giving her an outraged look at her interference but she ignored it.

"Hmm, you do make an excellent point Yuki-girl." Pegasus said, that nickname causing another shiver of disgust to travel down Yuki's spine as the silver haired male began to ponder her point.

"Make him fight in the tournament finals like the rest of us. He is the world champ, a few duels against us finalists would be child's play for him." Yuki continued, gripping at her backpack strap till her knuckles turned white.

"Is this a request that I am hearing, Yuki-girl?" Pegasus asked as he turned his head towards Yuki, amused at the prospect of her requesting something from him.

"Yes." Yuki ground out through clenched teeth like it physically pained her to admit that.

"Then I shall accept your request." Pegasus said, seeming as if he had an alternate reason for accepting the request. "You are now a finalist in this tournament, Kaiba-boy. I do hope you'll put on a good show." He said as he turned and walked back through the door he came through with his goons in tow yet again.

"Grr." Seto growled at this sudden change of events as he turned and flounced out the door he came through as well.

"Yugi, st-stay with Joey. I gotta, get some fresh air." Yuki said quickly as she handed over her backpack to Yugi, her confident facade fading quickly as the panic and fear hit her in waves.

"Wha, big sis?!" Yugi called out after Yuki questioningly out of worry as she rushed past Tea, Tristan, and Bakura back down the hallway that led them to the balcony.

"Yuki!" Joey called out after her in worry as well but the small female had already disappeared around the corner and out of sight.

Yuki normally didn't have panic attacks anymore, she had had her fair share of them after the car accident her and her parents were in. But this newfound fear and uncertainty of whether she can truly trust Yami and the Millenium Puzzle had gotten to her. So much so that Yuki hadn't even been paying attention to where she was going as she just got lost in the twists and turns of the castle hallways. Her panic attack in full swing as she leaned against a wall and slid down to the floor. Her breathing erratic and her whole body trembled and shivered as she hugged her knees to her chest tightly. The pressure causing the Millenium Puzzle to dig into her stomach as she buried her face in her knees. Yuki felt so cold and claustrophobic despite wearing a jacket and not actually having claustrophobia as she tried to get through this panic attack. Footsteps approached her huddled shivering form but the heterochromic eyed girl didn't care to look and see who it was.

Only when she felt something warm get wrapped around her did Yuki pull her face up from her knees. The first thing that met her eyes being a familiar navy blue trench coat being pulled tighter around her by one Seto Kaiba. The brunette not saying a word as he then sat on the floor next to her as she realized that, in his own way, he was trying to help calm her down. This unexpected behavior from Seto didn't exactly help take the edge off at the moment but Yuki got over it, she thought it was kinda sweet. Slowly she slipped her arms through the sleeves of the coat, which definitely was not made to fit a five foot two petite female. Seto was silent as he watched Yuki do this out of the corner of his eye, sitting with his left arm resting on the bent knee of his left leg. The other stretched out infront of him as his right hand rested on the ground in the space between him and the heterochromic eyed girl next to him.

Seto looked down at his hand though when he felt something brush against it, noticing how Yuki had tentatively reached out towards his hand. Her hand resting on the ground next to his, her trembling pinky brushing against his pinky as he realized what she wanted. Slowly, as to not to startle Yuki, Seto took hold of her hand in his, holding it just like she was trying to ask him to do without really saying anything. From that moment on they both sat there unmoving, his much larger hand practically engulfing hers as they held hands. The small amount of human contact as well as the surprisingly soft feeling trench coat started helping to ground Yuki. Her shivering dying down as her breathing began to even out till she was breathing at a more normal rate. Same could be said for her heartbeat, which had been beating a mile a minute but was much calmer now as well.

"You didn't have to do this for me, Seto." Yuki uttered after a few more moments of silence, blushing as she realized they were holding hands but strangely enough, she didn't want to let go.

"It would've been rude to leave you like that." Seto stated, trying to act like seeing her like that had turned his anger at what she done into worry and panic at what was wrong.

"Oh. Still, thanks. For staying with me, and for giving me your coat..." Yuki said as she looked down at said coat, something that she was also finding out that she didn't want to let go of.

"Hmm." Seto hummed in acknowledgment as he gave Yuki a nod, he was not a big thank you/your welcome kind of person.

Once Seto was sure that Yuki had finally calmed down he released her hand, hating the loss of having her hand in his as he stood up. Taking hold of the briefcase that the heterochromic eyed girl hadn't noticed was on the floor next to him as he turned towards her. He fixed the loss of holding her hand though by offering his hand to her to help her up, a small smile coming to his lips when she grasped his hand and let him help her stand. However before Yuki had time to let go of his hand to take off his coat and give it back Seto actually began to lead her down the hallway. His hand still holding hers as he didn't seem to notice or care that he has been doing alot of things that were so unlike him. Maybe it was because Seto was worried she might have another attack, whatever the reason was Yuki couldn't help but smile. Content to follow behind him and hold his hand as panic attacks make her feel very drained. Plus she was sure that she would get lost if he wasn't leading her through the maze of hallways that make up the castle.

"I'm sorry for snapping at you. I had no idea Pegasus had done that to Mokuba." Yuki said as Seto had seemed comfortable enough to let go of her hand now, much to her disappointment.

"No one expected you to know. I honestly had expected you to snap at me though, so it's no skin off my nose." Seto reassured with a small shrug as they walked side by side now.

"Oh. Good, good." Yuki muttered with a small nod as she shoved her hands into the pockets of his trench coat she was still wearing.

"Why did you object to me dueling Pegasus?" Seto suddenly asked as he stood infront of Yuki, making it so she had to stop and look at him, he wanted to look her in the eye for this. "If the duel had happened I could've gotten my brother back." He continued with a frown and his brow furrowed in confusion.

"I stopped the duel because Pegasus is a madman who shouldn't be underestimated." Yuki said after barely having stopped herself before she could run into Seto's chest. "Enough people have lost their souls to that monster. I wasn't about to let you be added to that list too." She said as there was something about the way she spoke and looked at him that made his resurfaced frustration go away.

"So what, are you asking me to just leave my little brother in that sick bastards clutches?" Seto asked, watching as Yuki slowly slipped off his trench coat.

"No. I'm asking you to trust me." Yuki said as she held out the now removed trench coat to Seto. "Please?" She added, watching as the taller male sighed and took the coat from her.

"Fine." Seto said after a few minutes of silence, causing Yuki to smile as his put his coat back on.

"Thanks." Yuki said, smiling more as she sidestepped Seto and kept walking. "Don't worry, I won't tell Joey." She called out over her shoulder as she walked, knowing that Joey would have a field day with the fact that the cold brooding CEO could be swayed so easily.

"If you did I'd deny it all." Seto stated with a chuckle as he followed after Yuki with one hand in his coat pocket as the other held his briefcase.
