Diane's little wolf

After getting released from prison, the now former bad guys live as normal clean citizens and adapt well into society together. Meanwhile a homeless and neglected young male wolf pup struggles to survive on the streets by stealing things until one day he runs into Diane Foxington who changes his life forever.

31. Launching

Chapter 31: Launching

"Happy to see me again?" Marmalade grinned as he watched the bad guys through the window while standing on top of a small ladder to be at eye level

"...Well...if it isn't the pouchy cheeked rat." Mr. Wolf glared as he went up to the cell door

"Mr. Maramalade! Where is my son!?" Diane angrily glared as she also went up to the door

"Oh you mean my little hostage? Hehehe not to worry. You're poor puppy is all safe and secured with his seatbelt on." Marmalade said as he gestured towards the rocket behind him

Marmalade's giant modified experimental hacking rocket was now fully complete and ready for launch as it was currently sitting up right in the ginormous launching silo nearby. The rocket was pointing straight up at a pair of large steel bay doors at the top of the silo waiting to be opened. There were several air hoses and wires connected to the rocket supplying it with power and cooling water as steam was emitting out from the vent holes.

Meanwhile inside the cockpit of the rocket, poor Jet was currently duct taped tightly in large cushioned jump seat that was bolted far back behind the main pilot seat.

*Gasp!* Diane gasped as she took in the sight of the rocket behind Marmalade

Mr. Wolf also gasped as he and Diane witnessed the rocket. Diane was in so much sheer shock upon learning that her pup was inside the rocket indicating that Marmalade will be taking him along the journey into orbit.

Immediately Diane's shocked expression turned back to severe anger as she was hungry for Marmalade's soul.

"Marmalade, I don't know even wanna know what you're next big game is here, but if anything bad happens to my son, I'm gonna make you wish you never existed!" Diane angrily warned with sharpness in her eyes

"What's that? You don't wanna know what my next big plan is? Fine then. You'll have to sit back and watch as I take over the world with my latest homemade toy." Marmalade said

"How did you even brake out of your cage you little hamster!?" Mr. Wolf angrily asked

"Hahaha! I have my ways you big bad doggy. Now since I have you all locked up tight in this thick indestructable cell with absolutely no way of breaking out and stopping me, I'll be going to accomplish my big task of dominating this great miserable earth. If you'll excuse me please." Marmalade grinned as he stepped down of the small ladder

Diane and the others watched through the cell door as Marmalade walked across the hanger laboratory over to a big red button on the wall nearby and pushed it causing a warning alarm to go off and the big bay doors of the silo to open up exposing the outside clearing a way for the rocket.

"Well this is where I depart. Toodaloo lame guys! Enjoy the show! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Marmalade laughed as he skipped and hopped towards his rocket in glee leaving the bad guys stuck in their cell

"WE'RE GONNA STOP YOU MARMALADE! I PROMISE KARMA IS GOING TO GET YOU! YOU ARE NOT TAKING MY SON AWAY IN THAT...THAT BIG TOY SPACESHIP OF YOURS!" Diane angrily shouted through the cell door

"Well go ahead and try! Hehehe!" Marmalade shouted back before climbing up a metal stairway leading up to the small cockpit access door of the rocket

Once inside the rocket, Marmalade shuts the thick air-tight door and locks it up good before making his way up to the pilot seat in the cockpit. Jet watches in horror as Marmalade straps himself tight in his seat before hitting a couple of buttons and flipping switches on the control panel.

"P-Please stop! I don't wanna go!" Jet tearfully pleaded as he squirmed in his seat with the duct tape keeping him restrained

But Jet's distressful words fall on deaf ears as Marmalade focuses on booting up the avionics systems of the rocket and making sure everything was all set to go.

"Alright! Time to put this beauty to the test!" Marmalade grinned as he finished his systems check before looking over at a large red button on his right.

The red button was the main launch button as it was protected under a closed clear safety lid. Marmalade then takes out a small silver key and inserts it into a slot hole right below the button on the control panel. He then turns the key clockwise which unlocks and opens the lid exposing the red button in the open.

"10...9...8...7..." Marmalde counted down as he hovered his hand over the red launch button.

Meanwhile back inside the cell

"This is bad! He's going to take control over the powergrid of the entire world!" Ms. Tarantula exclaimed

"Huh? How do you know Webbs?" Wolf asked

"I can tell just by looking at that rocket. With that many satellites and doohickeys on it, Marmalade can control just about every TV and toaster on earth. By hacking." Tarantula explained with her knowledge

"We gotta stop him fast!" Diane said

"But we can't! We are stuck in this cell and Marmalade stripped every tool off of us! We're doomed!" Mr. Shark panicked

"Oh he didn't strip everything. He forgot one thing." Mr. Snake said getting everyone's attention

"What do you mean Snake?" Piranha asked

With that, Mr. Snake winked at his friends before he started gagging and coughing up an object up his long throat.

"BLAH!" *SPLAT!*

Mr. Snake coughs up and spits out a small detonator bomb that was powerful enough for blasting down doors. Everyone was reliefed to see Snake spit out the bomb that can help them escape.

"Woah! Nice one Snake! I never knew you had a trick up your sleeve!" Mr. Wolf smiled as he picked up the bomb and cleaned off the saliva

"Hehe More like down my neck. Now let's blow this flytrap yall!" Snake said excitingly

Without hesitation, Mr. Wolf sticks the bomb onto the heavy locking mechanism of the door and sets the digital timer for 5 seconds.

As the timer counted down, Mr. Wolf quickly steps away from the door along with everyone else as they waited for the bomb to go off.

*BAAM!, CLANG!*

The detonator loudly explodes blasting the door away from the cell giving the bad guys freedom once again as they all ran out into the hangar. Now all they had to do was stop Marmalade before he launches his rocket.

Tarantula: "Hurry guys! We gotta stop Marmalade before-"

*BOOOOOOM! ROOOAR! RUMBLE!*

But it was too late. Marmalade has pushed the launch button igniting the rocket as the main thruster engines fired catching Diane and the bad guys off guard. Tons of smoke filled the surrounding area as the rocket was ascending straight up out of the silo with its wires and cooling hoses breaking off in the process. The ignition process was super loud and the smoke was so heavy that Diane and the bad guys had to cover their ears and shield their faces from the blast. Pretty soon the rocket ascended clear all the way out of the silo and was now outside flying up towards the sky like a ballistic missile.

Once the rocket was gone, Diane instantly panicked and quickly ran out through a nearby exit door leading straight out of the hangar facility with the bad guys following along. Diane and the bad guys all managed to quickly find a way outside into the courtyard of the facility where they could all see the rocket propell farther and farther away high up into the cloudy sky much to there extreme dismay.

"Oh no! OH NO! MY BABY!" Diane screamed as she watched the rocket up in the sky as her heart broke into pieces like a dropped dinner plate

Diane and the bad guys all lost hope instantly as they sadly watched the rocket get smaller and smaller the higher it went while leaving a white smoke trail behind. It turns out their whole rescue mission of saving Jet and stopping Marmalade was a complete total failure...or was it.

"This is bad! *sniff* We screwed up! We screwed up really bad! Now Marmalade is far out of are reach! And the poor kid is on that rocket! WE'RE DOOMED!" Ms. Tarantula screamed in sadness and guilt

"*sniff* So long Jet. We're gonna miss you amigo." Piranha said as he sadly waved

As everyone was mourning over the failure of their mission and the loss of Diane's pup, Mr. Wolf on the other hand could see down the main dirt road at the main entrance of the rocket facility from where he stood. In a distance, Wolf could make out a familiar black muscle car sitting still in the middle of the road far as his eyes could see. That's when Wolf realized it was their parked car sitting right where they left it.

"Guys! Guys! Listen up! We're not too late! There's still one thing left we can do to stop Marmalade!" Mr. Wolf announced

"Well how do you plan on doing that Wolf?" Mr. Snake asked

"First let's get to our car! It's still sitting right where we left it!" Wolf said as he pointed down the road

Before you know it, the bad guys and Diane were now running as fast as they could out of the facility and down the dirt road towards their car.

"Come on everyone! We gotta be fast!" Mr. Wolf encouraged

"I'm slithering as fast as I can! My scales are getting soar!" Mr. Snake cried out as he did his best to keep up

Soon enough they finally reach their parked car panting from exhaustion. Mr. Wolf then quickly goes over to the back trunk and opens it up before grabbing out a large long device that looked like a bazooka.
