Unexpected Destiny
A/N: I am so sorry that I took so long just so you guys know I WILL NEVER ABANDON THIS STORY AT ALL! and that's a promise. Just real life sucks and this COVID 19 seriously needs to go away who agrees with me. I made sure that this chapter is a long one and it's really good.
Lily and Theo never saw Casey that mad before, but they were going to help Casey find RJ. Casey was angry at Dai-Shi and he knew he had anger problems so he hit a tree.
"We have to find him he's like a father to me," said Casey "he's been there for me since I was eight."
"We will find him Casey," assured Theo. For the rest of the day they spent the day looking for RJ.
"Hey guys, I need to tell tou guys something," said Casey.
"What is it," asked Theo.
"RJ, when I was eight I ran away from home because-"
"Your abusive father," interrupted Lily.
Yeah, and I want to explain about that. So can I tell you guys," sighed Casey.
"For as long as I can remember my abusive father abused me. The only times I felt remotely safe is when I was home alone or my mom was there to protect me. I never trusted my father for anything, I only trusted my mom. Because of that I didn't have any friends, I'm not going to go into detail about my abusive life but I will tell you my life with RJ."
"When did you meet him?" asked Lily.
"It was when I turned eight years old that I ran away from home, but I didn't know where to go so I went into the woods near our house. I just kept running until I heard leaves rustling in front of me that I climbed a tree but I got stuck in the tree. The person saw me and that person was RJ. I didn't trust him at all cause of my father but something told me that I should at least give him a chance. Throughout my life with RJ I began to trust him and I finally told him everything that my father did to me after two years of living with him.
"I wouldn't be here if I didn't run away from home, my mother and I formed a plan to me too run away and the first person to see me is too adopt me cause I couldn't continue living with my abusive father. We tried nine times but failed, so we tried one more time and I successfully ran away.
"Does RJ know this?" asked Theo.
"Yes he does," said Casey, "RJ taught me to do kung fu and he was actually proud of me and it felt like I finally had a father figure in my life. But when I turned ten my mother gave up her rights and gave RJ the adoption papers. I was thrilled at first but then that would mean I wouldn't see my mom again. My mom assured me that she would call me every week, but that never happened.
"What happened?" asked Lily.
"My father beat her to death when she wouldn't tell him where I was."
"I'm so sorry," said Lily sadly.
"That's harsh man," said Theo sadly, "I'm sorry that happened to your mom. Wait I don't understand something, did your mom die before or after you were ten?
"She died after I was ten. I began living with RJ when he found me so I would be protected from my father," explained Casey.
"Wow I guess RJ is like a father to you," said Lily.
"Yeah he is." They continued walking searching for RJ. After a half hour of searching Casey began to sway.
"Casey are you alright?" Lily asked worriedly. Casey didn't even hear Lily at all. Casey is holding his head hearing a howl inside his head.
"RJ where are you" thought Casey.
"I'm at the place that I found you when you ran away from your father," the voice said.
"Guys i know where RJ is!" exclaimed Casey.
"How?"
"I can't explain it, but I have this feeling that I know where RJ is," Casey explained frantically.
So he lead them to the place where he first saw RJ and RJ is right at the spot where he was when RJ found him ten years ago.
"RJ!"
Casey Lily and Theo ran toward RJ but when they got close Casey felt something inside him. Casey was confused because he could feel that his shoulder was hurting but he knew that he didn't hurt it at all. When did you hurt your shoulder RJ?
"Come on let's get him back to JKP," ordered Casey.
RJ felt like he was on clouds. But he woke up slowly and realized he was in the spirit world, he quickly got up and noticed in the spirit world.
"Whoa am I dead?" asked RJ, to no one in particular.
"No you are not," answered someone from behind him.
RJ turned around and saw Master Mao standing in front of him. RJ began panicking, but Master Mao stopped him before RJ could start.
"RJ your not dead I'm visiting you while your unconscious," explained Master Mao.
"Oh uh, then how do I get back, cause Casey is a nervous wreck right now," stated RJ totally bewildered that he knew that about Casey.
"Ok how do I know that?"
"I can't answer that question because I need Casey to be here so I can explain why you guys have strong connection with each other," explained Master Mao, "all I need Casey to do is to touch you and he'll grow tired and I know he hasn't slept in three days."
It's been three days since they found RJ and he still hasn't woken up, Casey was so tired but he was afraid that if he slept RJ would die. Well I hope not thought Casey. Casey went to hold RJ's hand and he immediately got tired but he tried to fight but it was to strong and fell asleep within a minute.
Dream world
Casey woke up and he immediately noticed he was in the spirit world.
"Whoa what happened?" Casey asked himself.
"You two connected your animal spirits-"
"Wait why am I here? and am I dead?" Casey asked interrupted Master Mao.
No you aren't dead. you came to this dream world cause you wanted to be near RJ, You two connected your animal spirits together somehow, but you guys have to find out for yourselves about why you have a connection to each other."
"Wait what does that even mean?" asked Casey.
"Find RJ and find out," answered Master Mao.
"How am I suppose to find RJ in this place?" Casey went looking for RJ but he didn't know was that RJ in his room at the academy in the dream world.
RJ was trying to connect with Casey but Casey's spirit wasn't connecting to him at all
"What is going on" Casey asked no one in particular. Then after a few minutes Casey felt a tug in his shoulder.
'Okay now my shoulder is hurting me,' thought Casey, 'wait a minute RJ's shoulder hurt, when I got close I felt it to him, maybe I can find him through that connection.'
Casey was walking along the forest when all of a sudden he felt an urge to go to his bedroom at the academy, so he did.
"RJ are you in here" asked Casey.
"You found me" sighed RJ.
"Dai shi hurt you didn't he?" asked Casey.
"How'd you know?" asked RJ, not even denying about his shoulder hurting.
"I connected my animal spirit to yours and I felt it," explained Casey.
"You did? Well i guess i can't hide anything from you now can I?''
"No you can't not anymore and I bet that goes both ways huh?"asked Casey, despite knowing the answer.
"Yup."
Master Mao finally went beside them and said, "You two are connected and feel each others pain but you guys have to learn how to control it by yourselves."
"I know what to do Casey and I'll teach you when we get back. Ok. said RJ.
"Ok." With that said they woke up together.
"RJ are you ok?" asked Casey.
"Yes i am don't worry but i can tell my aninal spirit is out of sorts." RJ told Casey truthfully.
"You need to trust me," said Casey, "and let me know when your shoulder is hurting please."
"I will I promise."
A few days went by and RJ always kept his promise. Casey was always by his side and RJ was glad he was sometimes but other times RJ just wanted Casey to stop hovering him so much.
"Casey stop following me please," asked RJ.
"I'm sorry RJ, I just don't want to lose you," said Casey
"You will never lose me and I did promise you that I'll teach you how to control both but not right now cause my animal spirit is out of control at the moment."
"I know." Casey was still worried about RJ but he would stop hovering over him every second. Theo walked over to him and said,
"Did you notice anything strange about Lily after we fought the porcupine monster?"
Casey thought about it and he realized Theo was right.
"Yeah I did notice."
Just then RJ's shoulder starts hurting and Casey can feel it too but only a little bit but with RJ it was painful.
"RJ are you ok?" asked Theo.
"Yes I'm fine I just pulled a muscle," RJ said almost convincingly but Casey could tell he was telling a lie but understood why he told the lie cause RJ didn't want the others to know what happened between Dai-shi and their newfound connection just yet.
An hour later
"RJ where are you?" wondered Casey.
"Theo have you seen RJ anywhere?"
"No I haven't but Casey you need to ask Lily out on a date, cause lily really likes you," assured Theo.
"Really, she does like me," Casey said not believing Theo entirely.
"Yes she does," confirmed Theo, "I'll help find RJ so come on.
They looked everywhere and they couldn't find RJ at all. Caesy was starting to worry about RJ cause they were searching for him for an hour.
"Let's go back to the JKP-
"Wait I think I heard something over there, interrupted Casey. Casey heard something down the alley that they were walking past. Theo followed Casey and both of them were cautious going in the alley way. They heard a growl.
"What's that?" asked Theo.
"Probably some animal or something but I just want to be sure." Casey kept walking in the alley when they saw something unbelievable.
"What is that?" asked Theo.
"Looks like half werewolf and half man," responded Casey. The Wolfman was staring at the both of them but the wolf man only attacked Theo and not Casey, which puzzled them gratefully.
"Why did it only attack me and not you?"
"I have no clue."
Fran was tired of Lily being rude and obnoxious to everyone even Casey and Theo were too. But she discovered something unbelievable. She discovered that her friends were the power rangers when she saw Casey Theo and Lily morph to save RJ. Now that she knew she had to tell them. When Theo and Casey came back without RJ she was worried.
"I take it that you didn't find RJ," sighed Fran.
"No we didn't,'' answered Casey in a sad tone.
"Um guys, there's something that I need to tell you..." Fran trailed off.
"What is it?" all three of them asked at the same time, all four of them laughed.
"I know you guys are power rangers I saw you guys morph on the TV screens," Fran said in a rush.
"At least we don't have to hide about that anymore," assured Lily that they weren't angry at Fran knowing about them being power rangers.
The next day Jungle Karma Pizza was busy but Casey wasn't worried about that, he was more worried about RJ cause he didn't come back to the restaurant.
"Where are you RJ?" Casey thought out loud.
RJ woke up in the garbage wondering why he was here and not at JKP. Then he noticed his ripped shirt and sighed.
"I have to tell Casey that my animal spirit is really out of control," Rj said out loud. He got up and was a little dizzy but continued to go to the JKP. When he got there he saw Theo talking to a customer and walked past him and he could here voices on the loft. As he got closer he heard Eric and Wes talking to Casey.
"I'm just worried about RJ and no one knows where he is," said Casey, as he said this both Eric and Wes see RJ come up the stairs. He signals them 'don't say anything to Casey' they both do subtle nods and kept Casey from turning around.
Thirty minutes later
RJ got on a new shirt and started to pack clothes and his toothbrush. He didn't know if he could control his animal spirit and he didn't want to hurt Casey at all. So he wrote a letter and put it on his chair so Casey could read it. Then he left the pizza parlor to try and control his animal spirit.
Casey went to his room still worried about RJ. So he went to get changed and left his room, as he left he saw something on RJ's chair. He picked it up and opened the letter and started to read it.
Casey
My animal spirit is going hay wire and I could literally hurt you and I don't want to at all so I'm going to pai zhuq academy to control my wolf spirit. Then I'll teach you how to control both our spirits together.
RJ
"Wait a minute if RJ's wolf spirit is out of control then-" the alarms were beeping making Casey lose his train of thought. He saw a monster on the screen contacted his friends, morped and went to fight the monster. As he got there he saw RJ on the ground.
"RJ, are you okay?" asked Casey
"Never better," answered RJ. Casey thought that RJ looked like he was in pain but he couldn't get near him cause the monster was coming near him and he began to fight the monster instead. Theo and Lily showed up and started to fight the monster then the monster went towards RJ and started to fight him but when the monster hit RJ in the right shoulder, RJ went down like he was in pain clutching his right shoulder. 'No not now,' thought RJ
RJ fought hard not to change into a werewolf but it didn't work he changed into the wolf form within a few minutes.
"Guys get behind me!"
Lily and Theo got behind Casey and saw that RJ was turning into a half wolf and half man.
"RJ it's me Casey your son," said Casey calmly, "please don't attack us."
The wolf that was RJ didn't listen at all began to fight Lily and Theo but not Casey. Then right out of the blue RJ turned back to his normal self but RJ was still in pain when he changed back.
"Aaaaaaaahhhhhhh!" screamed RJ clutching his right shoulder. Casey immediately put the pieces together.
"Your animal spirit is making you transform into a half wolf and half man," said Casey, "but you won't attack me at all."
"I won't attack you?" asked RJ surprised.
"No you won't," confirmed Casey.
"Well that's interesting," said RJ still in pain.
"Come on we need to get back to JKP," sighed Casey. He was worried about RJ but they had to get RJ back the restaurant.
"You need to relax and we'll handle the monster," said Casey, "we'll learn to control our bond when you can control your animal spirit, right?"
"Yes once I can control my animal spirit then I'll teach you how to bond with my animal spirit." confirmed RJ. Then RJ felt his shoulder hurt again and this time he knew it would be the last time. He transformed into a werewolf and jumped up on the balcony.
"RJ you want a glass of water?" asked Fran. Then she heard a growl behind her from above her on the balcony. She turned around and saw a werewolf man staring at her. The werewolf just growled and then jumped off the balcony onto her.
"Casey told me that it was you RJ so I know its you," said Fran, she was scared but she knew that this wolf was RJ. She put her hand near the wolf's paw and saw that it changed back to her boss.
"I'm back, said RJ, "thank you Fran."
"No problem."
"I need to help Casey and the others right now," RJ told Fran and he was going to help them but he stopped in his tracks and went to the cabinet and got out a wooden box opened it and a purple glow came out.
He saw the rangers fighting the monster that acted like a monkey. He threw the box and held the morpher which he put it on his wrist and morphed into the wolf ranger.
After the fight RJ grabbed Casey and went to his room and closed the door.
"Casey I'm going to train you to feel my animal spirit everyday, told RJ, "and you'll be able to feel my emotions."
"And vice versa," said Casey. RJ sat down on his yoga mat and gestured Casey to do the same. They both began taking deep breaths and calming down.
"Now that your calm enough, begin calling your animal spirit in your head and tell it to come out calmly," instructed RJ. Are animal spitits have to play with each other and get along before they start a bond and then we'll both know that our animal spirits are bonding, thought RJ.
Casey tried to get his animal spirit out calmly but he couldn't. He got frustrated and tried to force it out but RJ stopped him.
"Casey stop, don't force your animal spirit out," repimended RJ.
"I can't do it then, but I want to keep practicing," sighed Casey. But Casey's animal didn't want to bond with RJ's wolf spirit.
"I don't know why my animal spirit won't bond with yours," wondered Casey.
"Me neither," agreed RJ.
A/N: hey guy life's been crazy like a Rollercoaster and it still is. Don't worry I won't abandon this story at all. I had covid on the last week of December. Then i had to deal with friends losing their moms. Then I had to deal with death (not me) of losing an uncle and a very wonderful friend. So yes its hard thinking about writing a story when your thinking about loved ones.
So that's why I'm having two parts to this chapter, so stay tuned for the part 2
