For my 200th story, a brand new adventure has opened the way. Davis, Tai, and their friends have grown and now the time has come to pass the baton to the next generation. Others might be against it, but with new digivices, new digimon, and new digidestined; it could all be a sign that the time draws near for both the human world and the digital world to truly become one.

Digimon are back again

Haru: The natural barrier between both worlds has gotten so weak that it can't hold itself together, and now both worlds are on the verge of colliding. That provided a great opportunity for Fanglongmon, the most powerful digimon in all of the Digital World. He was the one responsible for reviving Wizardmon and turning him into Mistymon. Not wanting to have his own world destroyed with it, he sees this as a chance to destroy our own and liberate all digimon from us humans. He might also be the only one that can save both worlds. That's why we're off to the Digital World and try to convince him to do just that.

"Fanglongmon's Guardians"

Haru and his friends decided to fly straight to the Digital World. Their mission is to find Fanglongmon and convince him to save both worlds instead of just the Digital World, and there might not be much time.

"Hang on, everyone. We're about to cross into the Digital World." Ben said. "Brace yourselves!" All of them went right through and flew to where the light was guiding them. When that happened, they all felt some sort of strange force. Suddenly, it felt like all of them were falling and were going to crash right into the Digital World. That's assuming they will even survive.

The Digital World

"Haru? Haru, are you okay?" Haru began to pull himself together and saw that Dorumon was right over him.

"That you, Dorumon?" Haru questioned.

"Yep. Plain old me instead of cool Dorugoramon." Dorumon said without really a problem. Haru got up and saw the others were all together with the digimon back to their rookie forms.

"Is everyone okay?" Mary questioned.

"I believe so. That was one rough ride." Taka said.

"At least we're in one piece. Traveling through the rips like that could have been dangerous." Ben said. "It looks like we made it to the Digital World, but where exactly are we in the Digital World?" All of them had a look around to see they were on an island with there being a series of small islands out in the ocean.

"I was hoping to hit the beach, but not like this." Swallowmon said.

"What about you digimon? You all reverted back to your rookie forms." Amanda questioned.

"Don't worry about that." Labramon said. "Besides, we've been in our ultimate forms for a long time. We just need our energy to replenish and we'll be good to go."

"Speaking of going, we really should." Sid said. "We can't really wait around for so long. We've got to find Fanglongmon."

"But which way do we even go?" Taka questioned.

"That way. Look." Haru said as he pointed up to the sky. They all looked and saw the ball of light made by the Sovereigns floating in the air and moving away. "The light is suppose to lead us the way to Fanglongmon. We've just got to follow it."

"But how are we going to cross the islands when the digimon need rest?" Mary questioned.

"There's nothing to worry about!" Kudamon said as he was up in the air and could see something. "It looks like each island has a narrow path that connects to another island! Don't lose sight of the light and we might find the island we need to be on!"

"Let's go!" Haru said. With their world in serious trouble, all of them moved as fast as they could. All of them moved through whatever path they could and crossed the islands while trying to keep the light in their sight.

"What are we going to do when we find Fanglongmon?" Mary questioned.

"We need to convince him to spare Earth." Sid said. "However, seeing as how he doesn't think too highly of humans, I doubt we can do that without a fight."

"But he might be the only one with the power to save both worlds." Kudamon said.

"Fanglongmon blames humans for many of the Digital World's problems. Seeing as how the Digital World is in danger because of Hiori's actions, it must be the final straw for him." Ponymon said. "We need to come up with a plan."

"Isn't talking to him and getting ready for a possible fight isn't a plan enough?" Labramon questioned.

"Fanglongmon is considered the most powerful Digimon in the Digital World. This might be our toughest fight ever." Panmon reminded. "If what we witnessed so far is an indication of his power, and even the Sovereign are weary of him, we can't take him lightly."

"He can't be taken lightly. Did you see the size of the Sovereign? He might be just as big." Labramon said.

"Panmon's right. This does seem like the kind of stuff he would be right about." Dorumon said.

"Thank you, Dorumon." Panmon said.

"Wow. Panmon just thanked someone. I guess the end of the world really is coming." Taka joked

"Enough! If you're talking, you're not running fast enough!" Haru said with annoyance. The time for games is over and they need to get serious. All of them kept on running and made their way through the islands. They just kept trying to follow the light until they soon saw where the light was leading them. "Hey! Do you guys see that?"

"I see it, but what is it?" Sid questioned. They all spotted something that looked like a giant fancy gate standing right on one of the islands. "Is that some kind of gate?"

"Is that where the light was leading us to?" Amanda questioned.

"It can't be. There's no wall or fence." Ben said. "We can see the other side and there's really not much there. Having a door or gate there is pointless."

"Keep in mind that we're in the Digital World now. Things tend to play out differently here than they do in your world." Swallowmon said.

"Either way, the light was leading us to here." Haru said. "Whatever that thing is, it might lead us to Fanglongmon. Let's check it out." All of them were about to check it out and see what that gate really was.

"Wait a minute." Kudamon said as his ears shot up.

"What's wrong?" Mary asked.

"I hear something." Kudamon alerted. They all took a moment to listen and they all heard the sound of someone groaning. "It sounds like someone needs help."

"Over there! Look!" Ponymon said as he spotted who did. All of them looked and saw another digimon with him pinned down under a fallen tree. "It's a Flymon!"

Digimon Analyzer (Ponymon): Flymon are usually dangerous digimon. Between their annoying vibrations and their painful stingers, they aren't exactly pleasant digimon.

"Help me..." Flymon groaned.

"Pleasant or not, he needs help." Mary said. Even if Flymon aren't nice digimon, they can't ignore the fact that he needs help. All of them hurried over and tried to help him out. "Don't worry. We've got you."

"Help me push this thing off." Haru said. All of them worked together and tried to get the tree off him. All of them were just strong enough to push it off and free Flymon.

"Thanks for that." Flymon said as he felt glad to have that piece off wood off. "Wait a minute. You're humans, aren't you? What are you doing here?"

"Before we answer that, do you know where we can get something to eat?" Dorumon said as he could hear his stomach growling. Flymon helped them out and showed there was some fruit nearby. Most Flymon have been rather mean, but this one is being nice. All of the digimon were having some food and this was also a good idea to get some intel.

"Thank you for the food." Mary said.

"You helped me out. It's the least we can do." Flymon said. "Though, I should warn you that it's not good for humans to be here."

"We know. Both worlds are in serious danger, but that's why we're here." Haru said.

"We're looking for someone that might be able to fix all of what is happening." Sid said.

"Flymon, what can you tell us about that gate?" Haru asked as he pointed to it.

"That gate? You don't want to go through there. Many aren't really allowed to go through there." Flymon said. "That gate leads to Fanglongmon."

"That's perfect because that's who we're looking for." Taka said.

"You're looking for Fanglongmon?! Oh no. You're in real trouble if he finds out you're here." Flymon said. "Just being in this area is bad for you."

"Why's that?" Amanda questioned.

"This area is considered sacred ground." Flymon said. "In order to get to Fanglongmon, you need to go through three areas that are considered sacred ground. Once you do that, you'll be able to enter the area that Fanglongmon lives in. In order to get to the next sacred ground, you have to go through that gate."

"So it's more like a transporter?" Ben questioned.

"It doesn't matter what it is. Fanglongmon is the one we're looking for, and we need to get through there." Haru said as he was ready to walk through that gate.

"That's not a good idea. Fanglongmon doesn't like you humans. If he knows you're here, he won't be happy." Flymon warned. "Not even digimon are allowed to go through there. The guardians won't allow it."

"Guardians?" Taka questioned.

"What guardians?" Mary questioned.

"Fanglongmon's loyal and powerful servants." Flymon warned. "In fact, they were the ones responsible for what happened to me when you showed up."

"They were. Why?" Amanda asked.

"They share the same the views as Fanglongmon." Flymon claimed. "You see, some of us digimon actually want to live with you humans. I'm one of them. I actually would like to live with you humans and have my own human partner. However, they view digimon that side with humans as the enemy or traitors." He claimed as he was getting scared. "There were others like me, but...they punished them and actually destroyed them. I was the lucky one."

"That's horrible!" Mary said as that sounded so wrong.

"Why would they do something like that?" Ben asked.

"This hatred they have for humans must be stronger than we thought." Sid said. "With their own world in danger, they can't be lenient."

"Well, we're standing near the gate. Where are these guardians? Who are they?" Haru questioned. Flymon was about to answer, but that was when he noticed something moving around in the water.

"Oh no! Here comes one now!" Flymon feared. They all looked out towards the water and that was when something emerged right out of the water. Some sort of cross between a sea serpent and machine emerged out of the water. Seeing something like that has one thinking that you don't want to be on the other side of it.

"What's this? Humans that dare set foot on sacred ground?"

"It would seem so, and they found the traitor." Another one showed up that looked like an angel coated in armor and blades.

"Oh no! That's them!" Flymon said as he was beginning to fear for his life.

"They're the guardians?" Sid said.

"And they're pretty powerful digimon at that." Ponymon said.

Digimon Analyzer (Ponymon): That is GigaSeadramon. He's a mega-level digimon, and possibly the strongest version of Seadramon. He's a terror in both the sky and the sea.

Digimon Analyzer (Swallowmon): The other one is SlashAngemon, another mega. He's a valiant warrior that fights for justice. His Blade of the True shows no mercy to those who have done wrong.

"We are the guardians of the Sacred Gate, servants to the powerful Lord Fanglongmon." SlashAngemon said.

"And it looks like we have some unwanted humans." GigaSeadramon claimed.

"What business does the likes of you have to be here?" SlashAngemon questioned.

"We're going through that gate to see Fanglongmon." Haru said.

"Are you nuts?! You can't talk to them like that!" Flymon warned.

"Well, it looks like there's still a traitor around here. Not for long." SlashAngemon said. He folded himself up and spun around like buzz saw. He flew straight at them and had incredible speed behind it.

"Whoa! He's fast!" Haru said as they couldn't believe his momentum. SlashAngemon flew past them and went straight at Flymon and slashed right through him and destroyed him. They all couldn't believe how merciless he was.

"Flymon..." Mary said as they all were dishearten to see an innocent digimon like that was destroyed for no reason.

"Hey! He so did not deserve that!" Haru shouted.

"I disagree." SlashAngemon said. "Any digimon that would side with the likes of you humans is an enemy that should be destroyed."

"The fact that you humans are even here on sacred ground is a crime, and you are going to wish you never came." GigaSeadramon warned.

"Giga Sea Destroyer!" GigaSeadramon fired an energy torpedo right at them. All of them tired to make a run for it. Once the torpedo made contact, the explosion blew them all away and knocked them around a bit.

"Looks like these guys aren't playing around." Sid said.

"Neither do we. We're going through that gate and you're not stopping us!" Haru said.

"You will not. You humans bring nothing but trouble to the Digital World and now you have the gull to go directly after Lord Fanglongmon?" GigaSeadramon said.

"That will not happen!" SlashAngemon said.

"Haru, we need to get through that gate." Dorumon said.

"I know, but it looks like we're going to have to get through these guys first." Haru said.

"I'm certainly not afraid of a fight. Let's take it to them." Sid said. There really was no other way as all of them joined in the fight.

"Dorumon warp digivolve to...Dorugoramon!"

"Panmon warp digivolve to...Panthermon!"

"Kudamon digivolve to...Reppamon!"

"Reppamon digivolve to...Chirinmon!"

"Labramon digivolve to...Dobermon!"

"Dobermon digivolve to...Ceberumon!"

"Swallowmon digivolve to...MailBirdramon!"

"MailBirdramon digivolve to...MetalRodanmon!"

"Ponymon digivolve to...Unimon!"

"Unimon digivolve to...Hippogriffomon!"

"Doru Djinn!"

"Annihilation Slash!" Dorugoramon and Panthermon attacked together, but SlashAngemon moved with great speed and avoided it as GigaSeadramon dived under the water. When he emerged out of the water, he smashed against Panthermon. Chirinmon tried attacking by slashing his horn against GigaSeadramon, but his attack did nothing.

"Pathetic!" GigaSeadramon said as he smashed his tail against Chirinmon and knocked him back.

"Full Barrage!"

"Emerald Blaze!" MetalRodanmon and Ceberumon attacked together, but SlashAngemon used his blades to deflected each attack.

"Blade of the True!" SlashAngemon unleashed an X attack and it smashed against both of them.

"This is not looking good. These two are powerful." Hippogriffomon claimed.

"A perfect example that we digimon don't need humans." SlashAngemon said. "You digimon rely on humans for digivolution. While it might make it possible to do it in an instant, it's only temporary."

"It might have taken us years to reach the power we have now, but we were able to do it without the need of humans." GigaSeadramon said. "This is what a real digimon is capable of, and you humans aren't welcome here."

"Sky Wave!" GigaSeadramon unleashed a series of shells and they were all heading straight for Haru and the others.

"MetalRodanmon!" Ben called.

"Sky Shield!" MetalRodanmon stepped in the way and formed a shield in the way and tried to block the attacks.

"You would protect them? You digimon truly are traitors to your own kind." SlashAngemon said. The two of them attacked again as GigaSeadramon smashed his tail against HippoGriffomon and SlashAngemon slashed against Dorugoramon. Panthermon tried attacking SlashAngemon as he swung his saber down at him, but SlashAngemon was able to block that and pushed him back.

"If it's that the best you can do, you can't win. You seem to have only two megas, but your power pales in comparison to us." SlashAngemon said.

"He's right, Dorugoramon." Panthermon said. "You and I are the only megas of the six of us. We hold the best chance of beating them. Maybe we should hold them down while the others go on ahead."

"No, it won't work." Sid said. "There might be other digimon that's just as powerful as they are."

"It doesn't matter! You aren't going anywhere!" GigaSeadramon said. The two guardians kept attacking the digimon while the others were trying to figure out how to get out of this mess.

"What are we going to do?" Amanda questioned. "They're both powerful megas. We have Panthermon and Dorugoramon, but the others don't have the power to beat these guys. How are we going to win."

"Wait. Maybe there is a way. Maybe we don't need to win." Ben said as he might have an idea.

"What are you thinking Ben?" Haru said.

"We can't beat them with raw power, but we can outsmart them." Ben said. "We can't really waste our time with these guys. We need to get through that gate, so I think our best move is a diversion. MetalRodanmon and I will distract them long enough for you guys to get through that gate."

"That's crazy, Ben. You can't take on these two alone." Mary said.

"Mary is right, we stick together because we're a team." Taka said.

"Guys, this is the only way." Ben said. "We can't waste our time with them. The four Digimon Sovereign are buying us some time, but they'll eventually run out of power. We need to get moving. Once you guys are through, I'll pull out and catch up with you guys when I can."

"But we can't leave you behind." Mary argued.

"No, Ben is right. We need to get to Fanglongmon, not win this fight, and there are still a couple areas to get through. We have to go." Sid agreed.

"Right. Ben, go ahead and do it." Haru said.

"Right. MetalRodanmon, attack! The biggest barrage you can make!" Ben called.

"You got it!" MetalRodanmon said as he unleashed a barrage of his own attacks to try and keep the two guardians distracted.

"Go!" Ben said.

"Guys, time to move!" Haru called to the digimon as he and the others made a run for it with their digimon following after them.

"You're not going through that gate!" SlashAngemon called as he tried to stop them, but MetalRodanmon got in the way and kept the attacks going. "Stand aside!" SlashAngemon said as he attacked him as fierce as he could, but MetalRodanmon trying his best to endure the attacks.

"How do we get that gate open?!" Amanda questioned.

"Bust it down for all I care!" Haru said.

"I got it!" Dorugoramon said as he smashed his fist against the gate and that actually got it open with the other side looking like a portal. "Let's go!" Each of the digimon got their partners and tried to make it right through the gate.

"You're not going anywhere!" GigaSeadramon said as he dived straight for them.

"Hippogriffomon!" Taka called as he jumped off. Hippogriffomon turned to GigaSeadramon and intercepted him.

"Sonic Voice!" Hippogriffomon unleashed the shriek that distracted GigaSeadramon and prevented him from doing anything, but Taka missed his chance to go through as the gate closed.

The Digidestined

"Guys, Taka didn't make it through!" Mary said as the rest of them traveled through a spatial passageway to the next area.

"I'm willing to bet he planned that. He didn't want to leave Ben behind." Amanda said. "What now?"

"Nothing. We have to go on ahead." Haru said with the others surprised that he would suggest that. "We have to go on without them. We're just gonna have to trust that they'll catch up to the rest of us eventually." It's not like they can turn back now. With that, the four digidestined went on ahead and will just have to have faith in their friends.

Ben and Taka

"Taka, you should have went with the others." Ben said as Taka rejoined him.

"No way." Taka said. "You and I have done a lot since we were kids, and I don't plan to stop that now." Ben didn't want it, but he appreciated Taka is staying to help him out.

"So, you two decided to sacrifice yourselves to allow the others to go on ahead. How surprisingly noble of you." SlashAngemon claimed.

"Shows what you know. Humans aren't as rotten as you think." Ben claimed. "We're a team and that means we help each other and work together."

"That's right." Taka said.

"Even that won't be enough to help you. You're digimon are just simply no match for us." GigaSeadramon said.

"We know we can't beat you, but we're not aiming to." Ben said with them wondering what he meant. "We just need to keep you distracted long enough for what we're really doing."

"Full Barrage!" MetalRodanmon used his attack once again, but this time he was aiming for the water and causing splashes and waves all around the two guardians.

"Heat Wave!" Hippogriffomon unleashed his heatwave attack and hit the water with it. It created a thick steam cloud that completely blinded the two of them. SlashAngemon and GigaSeadramon tried to make through the steam only to see the two of them grabbed their their partners and were flying away.

"Hey! Get back here and fight, cowards!" GigaSeadramon called.

"Leave them. They knew they couldn't win, but they did outsmart us. There's not much we can do anymore now that some of them got through." SlashAngemon said as he turned to the gates knowing what might be on the other side and the other digidestined not aware of what they're heading for. "Besides, they won't be as lucky as they were just now."
