Digimon are back again
Sid: We arrived in the Digital World to find Fanglongmon and persuade him to save our world instead of destroying it. We found this special gate, but we also found a Flymon in need of help. He warned us about the guardians that also view humans as a threat to their world: GigaSeadramon and SlashAngemon. We couldn't beat them, but Ben and Taka were able to create an opening for the rest of us to get through that gate. Now, we're off to the next area, but we're bound to run into trouble there as well.
"Between a Rock and a Plant"
The next area was soon going to come for the digidestined. The last area was protected by two guardians, and so is this area. One of the guardians was so big and tough that he was actually eating rocks.
"I'm getting bored just waiting around. When is it time for action?"
"Calm yourself, you tacky gem. The show is about to begin." The other guardian claimed as they knew that the guests of honor would soon be arriving.

The Digidestined
Unable to go back, they will have to trust that Taka and Ben will be able to catch up with them when they can. With their team divided, it's just the eight of them now.
"Are you sure it's a good idea to leave them behind?" Mary questioned.
"We don't have much of a choice now." Amanda said. "Be more concerned about whatever might be in the next world. Those last two guardians were tough."
"Amanda's got a point. We need to be ready for whatever might be next." Ceberumon said.
"Get ready. It's coming up." Panthermon said. They all saw the end was coming up and they soon arrived. All of them arrived in the next area and it was certainly different from the last one.
"Wow. Look at this place. It's actually beautiful." Mary said. The next area was like a massive chasm, but there were plants, moss, and even trees around with beams of light shining through the top. It actually looked beautiful like Mary said. "What is this place?"
"It looks like a cross between a forest and a cavern." Amanda said. "What kind of place is this?"
"A pretty place." Dorugoramon said.
"It might be pretty, but we can't stick around. We need to make our way through here and get to the next area." Sid said.
"Yeah, and we already know where to go. Check it out." Haru said as he pointed and could see the light from before. That means they can still follow it to Fanglongmon. It's the same light. That means it could lead us to the next gate and we'll be one step closer to Fanglongmon."
"What are we waiting for? Let's get going." Dorugoramon said as they all got moving, but unaware of what's waiting for them. As they were walking, something came to Mary.
"Haru, I just thought of something. Your crest is one that was forged by Fanglongmon himself, right? His power helped make the crest of heart." Mary said.
"Yeah. What about it?" Haru asked.
"Do you think maybe once Fanglongmon knows you're the human that has it, he might be willing to help us out? If so, we might not need to fight at all." Mary said.
"It's a nice thought, but Mistymon knew about it himself and that didn't really stop him." Haru said. So much for that idea, but Haru's crest might play a key role in this. As for Mary, she's always had a good heart herself. She's hoping to avoid fighting, but she knows it can't be helped.
"Hey! Look at this!" Dorugoramon said. That was when they spotted one of the biggest crystals they have ever seen. "Wow. This thing is..." He tried to get a better look at the crystal, but then spotted a digimon named Golemon inside it. "Horrible!" All of them got a better look and saw the Golemon trapped inside the crystal.
"What's a digimon doing inside there?!" Haru questioned.
"No! There are more!" Chirinmon said as they saw other poor digimon trapped.
"What happened to all of them?" Ceberumon questioned.
"How nice of you to come an pay us a visit. We've been expecting you." All of them heard a voice, but they couldn't see where it was coming from. "You must be the ones that managed to get around SlashAngemon and GigaSeadramon. A pity for them, but at least we'll be able to have some fun."
"Who's there?!" Panthermon called.
"Show yourself!" Sid called.
"Gladly!" That was when a giant digimon busted right through a large boulder and jumped straight into the fight as he tried to smash his giant fists against them, but they all managed to move out of the way.
"Honestly, Blastmon, you couldn't think of something with a little more finesse?" His partner said as she showed herself.
"Can it, Lotosmon. I want action!" Blastmon claimed.
"Who are they?" Amanda questioned.
"They must be the guardians just like SlashAngemon and GigaSeadramon." Ceberumon said.
"But what kind of digimon are they?" Mary questioned.
Digimon Analyzer (Ceberumon): That one is Blastmon. He's a mega with his entire body coated in crystals, and he's probably the biggest rockhead you will ever meet.
Digimon Analyzer (Chirinmon): The other one is Lotosmon. She might appear lovely, but she can lay down the hammer when she needs to. Her Seven's Fantasia might look dazzling, but it can be deceptive.
"So you two the guardians of this area, are you? Well, get out of our way." Haru said. "We're on our way to meet Fanglongmon in an attempt to save both of our worlds and bring them together."
"How vulgar. You think you can just walk right over to Lord Fanglongmon? Are all humans like this?" Lotosmon said.
"No way you're going to see the big guy. You guys are going to be crushed before you even get the chance." Blastmon said as he popped his knuckles. He looked ready to rumble. "Under Lord Fanglongmon's orders, we get to punish any digimon that side with humans."
"Are you two the ones responsible for what happened to the digimon in these crystals?!" Chirinmon questioned.
"We are, but don't worry. They're all alive. Blastmon's crystals combined with a little magic from me put them all in a dream-like state. They're all living happy dreams." Lotosmon explained. "These digimon are ones that wanted to go against Lord Fanglongmon's wishes to destroy the human world. Be grateful that we're showing them some mercy."
"I would have preferred to just crush them. It would have been a lot easier that way." Blastmon claimed.
"This is just like how it was with SlashAngemon and GigaSeadramon." Panthermon claimed. "They're loyal to Fanglongmon and believe in his cause. They see any digimon that side with humans as the enemy and as traitors that must be punished."
"Please just listen. We didn't come here to cause any trouble." Mary said. "We're just trying to save our world from destruction. In doing so, we save your world as well. We're not your enemies."
"Be that as it may, Lord Fanglongmon has given us his orders." Lotosmon said with her getting a good look as to what she's up against. "You boys there... You do look rather cute." She said with both of them finding that weird. "You might be children, but I suppose I can play with you like dolls. As for the girls, they won't be as fun. They have such vivid and unoriginal imaginations." She said with a giggle and both of them not wanting to know what she meant by that.
"Is she saying we're dull and boring?" Amanda said as she and Mary are starting to see Lotosmon as the kind of lady other girls would hate. Putting that aside, Sid looked behind them and could see the light was getting farther and farther away with it almost out of sight.
"We don't have time for this. The gate must be further back." Sid said. "We've got to get around these two and head straight for it."
"Enough talk! I say we fight now!" Blastmon said as he went straight for the action.
"Panthermon, clear the way!" Sid ordered.
"Dark Aura!" Panthermon unleashed a dark blast from his saber. Lotosmon and Blastmon cleared away from the attack, but it created an opening for them.
"Run for it!" Panthermon said. All four of the digimon grabbed their partners and they all started to head straight for wherever the gate might be.
"Oh no you don't!" Blastmon said as he build some power and released it to be used like a booster. He blasted himself and took off like a rocket straight at them.
"Watch out! Here he comes!" Amanda warned as she spotted Blastmon coming straight for them.
"I'll stop him!" Ceberumon said as he turned to him to attack.
"Emerald Blaze!" He unleashed his attack, but it just reflected off of Blastmon. It didn't even bother him or slowed him down. Blastmon just kept going and attacked all of them in one strike. All of them got knocked around pretty good by that attack.
"Did you really think we were just going to let you go? We're not called guardians for nothing." Blastmon said.
"And did you really think we were going to stop just because you say so?" Dorugoramon taunted. He tried fighting back as he smashed his fist against him, but Blastmon didn't even feel it. All Blastmon did was smash his giant fist against him and smashed it against Dorugoramon and knocked him down.
"His entire body is coated in crystal. It's like he's wearing indestructible armor." Chirinmon warned.
"Forget him. As much as I would like to fight a really strong opponent, we have more pressing matters to attend to. Concentrate on heading for the gate." Panthermon said.
"I just said that you're not going anywhere!" Blastmon said as he got another attack ready.
"Prism Fire Flash!" Blastmon smashed his diamond tail right on the ground and caused the whole place to shake. It didn't stop there as his crystals began to shine and he unleashed a series of shards right at them
"Get moving! Take cover!" Haru called. All of them tried to move as fast as they could and tried to avoid those shards, but they were raining down on them and causing some damage. As it was going on, Blastmon was laughing at delight with all the destruction he was causing. As for Lotosmon, she just hung back.
"Blastmon, you are a walking disaster. Don't you have any style?" Lotosmon mocked.
"Forget style. All that really matters is that we crush them." Blastmon said.
"No sense we can't look good while we're doing it." Lotosmon said. "Allow me to show you." She said as she took one of scepters and held it right at them.
"Seven's Fantasia!" Lotosmon unleashed a rainbow-colored blast at them, but they all were able to avoid that as well.
"Ha! Stylish, but not that effective." Blastmon said.
"I don't see you doing that much better." Lotosmon said. "Besides, none of them will be getting out of this in the end." Those two seem to have different styles as to how they do this, but they certainly have the digidestined stuck on the defense.
"This isn't looking good. That Blastmon is pretty powerful, and we don't even know what Lotosmon is fully capable of." Haru said.
"They seem pretty different from each other, but they can be a challenge to get through." Chirinmon claimed.
"We need to give them the slip, but how?" Dorugoramon questioned.
"Leave it to me!" Amanda said. "Ceberumon, get right in Blastmon's face." Ceberumon followed her lead as he jumped straight up and landed right on Blastmon's face, the only part of his body that isn't covered in crystal.
"Hey! Get off me!" Blastmon shouted as he tried to shake Ceberumon off. When he tried reaching with his giant hands, Ceberumon kept moving around and Blastmon kept smacking himself.
"Go! Get moving!" Amanda said.
"Amanda, no! We're not leaving you behind!" Mary argued.
"You've got to go! Panthermon and Dorugoramon are the strongest ones of us here!" Amanda said as Ceberumon landed right on Blastmon's head. "You're going to be needed for whatever is up ahead for us! Now get going!"
"Amanda is right! What matters is that we get to Fanglongmon! Now go!" Ceberumon called.
"Do I look like a podium?" Blastmon said as he tried reaching for them, but couldn't reach.
"She's right. We have to take the chance and go." Sid said.
"Trust me, there's no winning an argument with a woman." Panthermon said and went on ahead.
"Mary, let's go!" Haru said as Dorugoramon flew after Panthermon.
"They're right, Mary. It will be okay." Chirinmon said and flew after them, but Mary hated the idea of leaving a friend behind.
"Get off!" Blastmon shouted as he managed to shake Ceberumon off. When he tried to crush him, Ceberumon moved out of the way again. Blastmon might be much stronger, but Ceberumon seems to be faster.
"You fool. They're having you attack yourself. Do your job well this time and take care of those two. I'll handle the others." Lotosmon said as she hurried after them.
"She's going after the others!" Amanda said.
"Not if I can help it!" Ceberumon said as he hurried after her to stop her, but Blastmon shot some crystals and blocked his path.
"You're not going anywhere!" Blastmon said as he tried to crush him again, but Ceberumon jumped out of the way. Ceberumon stretched out his other two heads and had them fired some blasts, but each one of them reflected off of Blastmon. Blastmon kept trying to crush Ceberumon, but Ceberumon was still a little too fast for him. "You annoying little pest! You're starting to get on my nerves!"
"We can't keep avoiding his attacks. He'll catch us eventually." Amanda said.
"True, but it's really all we can do. His entire body is covered in those crystals." Ceberumon said. "My attacks aren't working against him. We're at a stalemate."
"There's no stalemate! I'll just simply crush you!" Blastmon called as he raised both of his arms and brought them straight down. It appeared that he managed to land the attack this time and crushed them. However, he saw they were gone as they slipped under his legs and attempted to make a run for it. "That's it! Lotosmon wants something with style? How about this?!" He placed himself directly under one of the beams of light that shined into the cavern and appeared to be absorbing light. Amanda looked back and saw him preparing another attack.
"Oh boy! Looks like he's charging a pretty big attack!" Amanda said.
"Crystal Breath!" Blastmon unleashed a powerful blast of light that was devastating everything that it came in contact with. If that attack lands, Amanda and Ceberumon might not survive. Not good when they get swallowed up by the light.

The Digidestined
The others didn't like leaving Amanda and Ceberumon behind like that, but there wasn't much of a choice. Their mission is to find Fanglongmon. They need to have trust and faith in each other to make it through here. As the others continued on, their destination was soon in sight. They could see the same gate they went through before.
"There it is! I see the Sacred Gate! Once we get through there, we'll only have one more sacred area to get through!" Sid said.
"But what about Amanda?" Mary questioned.
"She'll be fine. She's got Ceberumon to protect her." Chirinmon said. "I understand that you're worried about her and the others, but have faith in them."
"I know, but I can't help it. I'm sorry." Mary said as she felt bad for bothering them with it.
"Haru might have the crest of heart, but you've got a good one yourself, Mary. One that goes out to others with compassion and care. Don't ever apologize for that." Chirinmon said. He's certainly right about that, but they now need to stay focus on the task at hand.
"We're going to make it!" Haru said, but he just jinxed it. That was right when a white snake and a black snake came and coiled around Panthermon and Dorugoramon to prevent them from going any further.
"So close, but still so far." They all looked back and saw Lotosmon was able to catch them and was trying to keep them from going any further.
"Where'd she come from?!" Haru said.
"I can't get free." Dorugoramon said as he and Panthermon tried to free themselves from the snakes, but they wouldn't budge.
"Wind Cutter Sword!" Chirinmon dived straight down and used his horn to slash right through the snakes and was able to free both of them.
"That wasn't very nice, but you're not going anywhere." Lotosmon claimed as she took her other scepter and fired a rainbow beam at them, but they avoided her attack. Mary didn't like all this fighting, but she does understand it is needed. At least by doing what she's thinking, she won't have to leave a friend behind.
"Chirinmon, attack!" Mary said.
"Right!" Chirinmon said as he used his own incredible speed. He moved around swiftly and used his sword-like horn to attack Lotosmon.
"Mary! What are you doing?!" Haru called.
"Amanda was right about one thing! You two are the strongest out of all of us!" Mary said. "You two need to go on ahead for whatever is through that gate! I'll stay with Amanda and try to hold this one off!"
"She's right! You two must go while you still can!" Chirinmon said.
"Don't be foolish! You can't defeat the likes of me!" Lotosmon said as she had her twin snakes stretched out and tried to attack Chirinmon once again, but he tried using his speed to keep out of their reach.
"Let's go! Now is our chance!" Haru said. The others agreed and got going. "Mary, you better bring the others when you catch up with the rest of us!" Mary agreed to that as the boys flew off.
"Hold it!" Lotosmon called as she had her snakes tried to attack the two of them again, but Chirinmon interrupted that as he flew straight at Lotosmon and tackled her to the ground with Chirinmon getting behind her.
"Sorry, Lotosmon. I can't let you stop us." Mary said. "We need Fanglongmon to spare our world instead of destroying it."
"You're dreaming if you think Lord Fanglongmon will do something like that." Lotosmon said. "You humans might be fun to play with, but you do bring trouble to our world."
"Well, I don't really like all this fighting, and we certainly didn't come here to cause any trouble." Mary said. "I'm sorry, but I can't let you stop us." As those two were talking, Panthermon and Dorugoramon made it to the gate and could now leave this area and go to the next one.
"Let's go! We're home free!" Sid said. Panthermon managed to get the gate opened and went through with Haru looking back.
"Hurry, guys." Haru said. He's trusting his friends can find some way to make it around those guardians and join the rest of them. Once Dorugoramon went through himself, they were free to go and left the girls behind to handle the guardians. Lotosmon heard the gate close and did seem a little displeased.
"Looks like they made it." Chirinmon said.
"Indeed. It looks like I need to start getting serious." Lotosmon claimed.
"Serpent Ruin!" Lotosmon had the black snake fired a powerful blast of dark aura right at Chirinmon and tried to swallow him and Mary up in that attack. It appeared to be a devastating blast, but Lotosmon saw through the dust and saw Chirinmon fly away knowing they can't beat her in an actual fight. At least Mary was able to allow the boys to get through to the next area.
"Lotosmon!" She looked and saw Blastmon was able to catch up to her. "Where are those little maggots?" He questioned.
"I'm afraid you're too late. You just missed them." Lotosmon claimed. "Two pairs of human and digimon just went through the gate. Another pair took off after stalling me to allow their friends to go through. What about the pair you were dealing with? Did you destroy them?"
"No. They managed to give me the slip." Blastmon complained. "I can't believe this. Were you even trying?"
"Calm down. We did what we were suppose to. Besides, why waste all my talent on the opening act. The show is far from over." Lotosmon claimed with her giving off a chuckle. Perhaps the digidestiend aren't winning like they think.
