Author's note: Hello, dreamers! This will be the first official chapter of book 3! I've decided on the theme for this book. The first one was all about family, the second about dreams, and I think this one should be about nostalgia! This book will have a more nostalgic vibe to it, because 2014, (The year this one was set in) was one of my favorite years! The blizzards in this chapter are a direct metaphor for the Frozen craze, and the snow I played in early that year! I used to pretend to be Elsa, and act like I was commanding the snow! Good times! :) It's CRAZY how that was 9 years ago! So, enjoy!
Characters Introduced (Or First Mentioned)

January 2014
It was a snowy day in Haventown. Lily and the others were playing in the snow. Even Morgana and Megan were playing, also!
"This is fun! I never knew being a hero was like this!" Morgana said, running in the snow.
"Yeah, I'm still excited about you joining us!" Lily said. Just a few months before, Morgana and Megan had been villains and enemies of Haventown, but Lily and her friends had brought them to the good side!
They played even more until Aurora called them inside. "Guys, it's time to come in! The weather report says there's going to be a winter storm!"
Everyone came in, and Aurora turned on the tv. "A winter storm is coming. Take all precautions listed on the screen, and stay safe." The reporter said. A bunch of protocols was listed at the bottom of the screen.
"That doesn't look good…" Megan said.
"Don't worry, if it gets too windy, we'll go to the basement," Cadenza said, reassuring Megan.
"I hope it doesn't get any worse…" Coletta said, under her breath.
Just after she said that things did indeed get much worse. The wind started picking up, and the snow started falling harder. All of a sudden, there was a knock at the door.
Aurora went and looked through the peephole. She immediately answered the door. "Queen Elsa? Hello!" She said
"Aurora, I need to talk with you. It's about this winter." Elsa said. "The Dreams are back, and they're making nightmares come true. My worst nightmare was another eternal winter, and they made it happen." Elsa explained.
"Is there anything we can do?" Aurora asked.
"Yes. Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven are coming right now. Hans, our villain, has also joined The Dreams." Elsa said.
"I know what we should do. We need to see The Author before the storm gets any worse. I'll leave Lily and the other children here, and I'll go with you and your other allies." Aurora turned to Coletta and Cadenza. "Could you two stay here and look after the kids? I'm taking Esperanza along because this is her mission. I'll report back later."
Coletta and Cadenza agreed, and Aurora made the perilous journey up the Mountain of Beginnings and Endings with Elsa and her family.
I see you have sought my guidance again, Daydreamers. I will give you your prophecy for this year. Winter. World. Mice. Bluebirds. Harmony. Race. Spy. Horn. Space. Sun and Moon. Fire.
Now, here is your prophecy for the end of this year: All that was once lost will return. What was lost within the flames will rise again like a phoenix. The lost love will be restored, and all will be well.
"Well, at least we know what winter means," Aurora said.
"Those were pretty cryptic, but they're my missions from the past. It's bound to generate a lot of positive energy when I remember them." Esperanza said.
"We'd better get back to the Mansion. Storm's getting worse... Thank you, Author, for all that you do for us." Aurora said.
You're welcome, Daydreamers. Always come to me in time of need. Her voice faded again.
Aurora and the others went back home. When they got there, Cadenza ran to Aurora. "Aurora, Hans is here! And he's brought The Dreams!"
"Not on my watch," Aurora said. She went and found Hans. "I won't let you hurt my family, or yourself! You don't understand how dangerous The Dreams are!" Aurora said.
Hans looked her dead in the eyes. "The Dreams? The Dreams? You still think this is about them? Look around you! I'm just using The Dreams to get rid of the true villain of this story!" Hans said.
She could've dismissed it as a cornered villain's rambling, but a force as deadly as The Dreams being only a small-scale foe was a serious claim. "What do you mean? Who's been working behind the scenes?" Aurora asked.
"The Flames." Even saying the name made Hans shudder.
"Who are The Flames?" Aurora asked, even more curious. A name like that wasn't a good sign at all.
"When the original timeline was reset by The Author, I did something I wasn't supposed to. I used a forbidden spell to retain my memories of the old timeline. There is a reason why The Author reset in the first place. The Flames took the love of Cadenza's life. In her grief, she became Aznedac, the evil queen of Agadoria. She overthrew Esperanza, and the kingdom fell to ruins. Just as The Dreams transcended timelines, The Flames did also." Hans said.
"So, what can we do?" Aurora said. Hans had better not be lying... She thought.
"That's another bad thing I did..." Hans said, scratching his head. "I kinda sorta snuck into the Multiverse Hotel and overlooked the plan through this year. I was respectful, though! I didn't look past this year. I know it's forbidden to talk directly about future missions, but I know the exact one where Cadenza loses her love. It's the one at the very end of this year. If we can prevent him from dying, then we can prevent Cadenza from turning evil again, and stop The Author from possibly resetting the timeline again!" Hans said.
All of this was too big to be a lie. "Hans, even though you broke into the Hotel..." Aurora hesitated, before shaking Hans's hand. "I trust you," Aurora said.
Hans was relieved. "Thank you. I don't know who The Flames are, but I know we have to stop them from hurting Cadenza and causing another reset."
"You're welcome," Aurora said. She went and told everyone else about what Hans had revealed.
"Wait, The Flames? Who the heck are they?" Lily asked.
"The Flames are the being from which all fire-type magic or powers originated. The Dreams are the origin point for dreams and nightmares, while the Frostgale Crystal is the point for all ice and snow." Hans turned to Elsa. "It's even where you got your powers," Hans explained.
Anna spoke up. "So, where do we find The Flames, exactly?"
"Well, that's the hard part. I already violated one rule by looking through the future missions which are bad enough, but talking about them to the people involved is the one rule you can't break." Hans said. He continued. "The Dreams know who The Flames are. They talk to me and communicate with me. I don't know how, but The Dreams are friendly. I think they're scared of The Flames, also." Hans said. He turned to Elsa. "I'm sorry about the eternal winter. I didn't tell them to bring out your nightmare, they still kind of work on their own." Hans said.
"I forgive you. I still don't like the idea of working with the man who tried to kill my sister and me and take over our kingdom, but I guess I have to, to defeat a much bigger threat." Elsa said.
Hans turned to Lily. "Since you're the crown princess around here, do you forgive me?"
"Yes! Forgiving villains is what I do best!" Lily said.
All of a sudden, the snow started melting outside of the house.
"Love will thaw. That's how it worked the first time!" Elsa said. Soon, all of the snow was gone, and the sun came out again.
"Wow, it worked!" Lily said. Everyone went outside, to bask in the winter sun.
Lily turned to Elsa and Anna. "You know, you could always stay here with us."
Elsa thought for a moment. "Well, I am queen, and that's a very demanding job. But, since this is a state of emergency and you need all the help you can get, I'll contact my viceroy, who will rule the kingdom in my absence." Elsa said.
"Really? Thanks! The more, the merrier!" Lily said.
Everyone stayed outside for a little bit longer. About an hour later, they went back in. Everything was calm until there was a knock at the door.
"I'll get it! Esperanza said. She opened the door, and her eyes widened...
To be continued...
Author's Note: Well, I did it again! I left you off on another cliffhanger! So, who do you think is at the door, and how will they impact the story? I'd tell you what the next mission will be, but it'll spoil the cliffhanger. All I'll tell you is this: it's one of the most important aspects of this book. See, book 1's most important aspect was Lily getting her powers, and Monsters Inc. (I'm excluding The Author's reveal and the truth about the personifications because they were made later on.) Book 2's most important part was the dream where Megan came from and Monsters University. You see, this was one of the more important books to write, because it has FIVE really important arcs, as opposed to just one or two. The next chapter will dive straight into things, and also reveal why the main focus of this book is nostalgia. The next chapter will also delve into what made this book so nostalgic to write. So, stay lucid!
