Part 6

Rogue Recruit part 1

Mississippi:

A party was being held at a local club, teenagers danced and laughed, two boys walked to the other side of the party, snickering about something "look there she is, go on" his friend slightly pushed him "No, dude, I'm you know, picking my moment, taking it slow"-"I seen glacier faster" he then proceeded to push him in the direction, of the girl.

Rogue was still brooding about the events of yesterday, it felt like a nightmare, those yellow reptilian eyes, his enormous teeth; she sighted a little and looked back at the river half expecting that monster jumping out. She then heard someone behind her, startled she turned around; a blond jock and he appeared to be nervous "Can ah help yah?" "Dance" she raised an eyebrow "I-I mean- would you like too?"- "I´m really just hanging out"he looked a little crestfallen "Ah what the heck, what harm could it come from one dance".

Meanwhile at Rogue´s home, Irene waited patiently for Raven to call her about her plans, but suddenly her vision changed into a vision, Rogue was about to be touched and her powers will react "No don't touch him, my poor dear child!"

Back at the dance, rogue was happy she had distracted herself and was enjoying herself "Get closer, make your move!" his friend told and pushed him again just that this time with too much force. He fell on top of Rogue. "Hey, I´m sorry "he grabbed her arm and felt a as he was being drained, his energy, his memories, everything.

"Ugh mah, head, all- all this images" she looked around confused "What am I? Who am I?!" She backed away, her head aching as the two personalities fought for control.

The boy´s friends kneeled next to him, shaking and trying to wake him up "Cody wake up!" He turned to Rogue and glared at her "what did you do to him?!"Rogue looked at the door and decided to run to a safe place, but the guy was faster than her and he blocked the exit. Cody´s mind got into action and using a football move, he pushed the boy aside and ran not knowing where she was going.

Rogue´s house:

"I didn't know it would happen right now, I knew what type of powers she would have, I didn't know when they would manifest" she sighted as she heard the response from Raven "Of course you are coming, and the others, Xavier´s team, they are coming too" she hang up and feel another vision coming, this one was different, it was a man, dressed as a bat, fighting the monster from yesterday, and her little Rogue was in the middle of it all. She felt like crying, this was going to be a long day.

X-men Mansion:

The mansion was quiet, to quiet. In the attic something stirred. An intruder moved very quietly trying not to be detected "Impressive, you avoided the security trough the air vents, but you won't pass me!" Storm declared and made a powerful wind. The man jumped back into the air vent and tried to escape. "Interesting, but I think is time you remember why they call me Storm!" she flooded the air vent and throw the intruder into the danger room, the security systems activated and shot an ice beam at him, he broke it with ease "That was cold"-"So let´s warm you up" Storm flipped a few switches and a gun appeared, Wolverine snorted and sliced the machine "It's that all you got" He sliced another machine but stopped at the voice of the professor "Stop, that´s enough and besides is all we can afford now Wolverine" Logan smirked "Hey, when I give a demo, I give a demo" Scott rolled his eyes "Is demo for demolition" Bruce snorted behind him. "What´s the point of all this" Scott asked. "The point young Cyclops, is too teach you to find strategic points in sophisticated defense mechanism"- "Yeah and that one needs some improvements" Wolverine replied smugly before turning serious "it was to easy to break in, we need to make it better, maybe adding some gas sprayers or something" Storm glared at him "Alright, alright, knock out gas then" Kitty shuddered "Is it just me or is anyone else, like, freaked by all this" Bruce raised an eyebrow at her while the others stared "Just me, great" Kurt smiled at her "Relax Kitty" he transported right next to her, she gasped "We are beside you" he chuckled at his own joke "And besides you can never be to sure, especially if the League of Assassins tries to break in" Wolverine added and turned to look at Bruce, his eyes narrowed "The League won't be a problem for a long time" he added darkly.

"X-men we have an emergency, Logan prepare the Blackbird" Scott looked at the professor "what´s the mission sir" Bruce rolled his eyes "Were not the army" Xavier ignored both "Cerebro has detected a new mutant, we have to reach her, I sense that she is in a bad mental state, she is a danger to herself and others"

Kitty smiled as she watched her new uniform "Not bad" she said to herself. Bruce walked inside the jet and fell his friends staring at him, he couldn't blame them. His suit was decided to intimidate, strike fear in the hearts of criminals. Kitty eyed him nervously; this was the first time sense the attack of the Scarecrow that she had seen him in his suit. It brought bad memories. Logan sat besides Bruce as he prepared his grappling hook and baterangs "you said something about the league of Assassins, I want to know what it was kid" Batman sighted and looked at him in the eye "You sure" Logan nodded.

Flashback:

Bruce was kneeling in front of his master, Ra`s Al-Ghul, he smiled down at him "You have passed every test that I gave you" Talia beamed at him, she was exited for him. "I think is time"-"Time for what?"-"To lead a small group and attack Gotham" Bruce stared at him as he had grown a second head, Talia looked in confusion at her father "Time has come to start the attack all over the world" Bruce narrowed his eyes at him "I won't kill"-"You will" Ra`s seemed very sure "you have darkness within you boy, you just have to use it for the right cause" Bruce stood and glared at him "I won´t help you, search another lackey" Bruce turned and prepared to leave when he fell a sword in his throat "You will join us or die" Ra´s growled at him.

Bruce elbowed Ra´s in the face and dodged the ninjas that were chasing after him, Ra´s got up fast and went after him. Bruce had nowhere to run, he was trapped. Ra´s let out a laugh "you cannot escape, my young apprentice, but I will offer you a change to escape" he took out his shirt "A fight to the dead". He throw a sword at him, Bruce shook his head and threw it aside. Ra´s smiled "Very well" he let out a scream and charged at him. Bruce dodged the attack and kicked him in the stomach.
Ra´s groaned but elbowed him and cut him in the right arm, Bruce groaned in pain and tried to recover but Ra´s was faster. He pinned him to the ground and put his foot in his face. "Is over Bruce, you have lost" Bruce knew it was true, but he looked up and saw all the explosives that they were going to use. He managed to avoid the sword; he acted fast and grabbed a near lighter throwing it at the explosives. The entire monastery shook for the intensity of the explosion, and a hole in the floor was opened to reveal the Lazarus pit. Ra´s yelled in anger and stabbed Bruce in the shoulder "YOU IDIOT!" Bruce smirked at him "YOU HAVE DESTROYED THE WORK OF A LIFE TIME!"-"Must have been a very crappy job then" Ra´s kicked him "At least I will see you die, goodbye" he was about to cut him in half but another sword intercepted his sword, he turned to see Talia "What are you doing my daughter" he asked calmly, to calmly for Bruce´s liking "I´m doing what is right" she had tear in her eyes "I´m sorry father" she pushed him into the Lazarus pit, Ra´ let himself fall not even blinking, Talia sighted as she heard his neck snapped, she knew that the punishment later will be terrible, but for Bruce it was worth it. Talia turned to Bruce "He´ll come back" Bruce shook his head "I don´t think so, he fell into that green pool and snapped his neck"-"That pool is more than what it seems" Talia looked around "They are many injured, they won't follow you" Talia started to cry "It hurts"-"I´m sorry about your father" Talia smiled at him "not that, it hurts that I won´t see you again" she grabbed him by the back of the neck and kissed him. "Run my beloved"

Bruce turned and ran, looking back once just to see Talia once more.

End flashback

Logan stared at him "you ended the league" Batman nodded "They are useless without a leader, they are ruined and I don't think Talia wants to be the leader" Logan smiled at him "Let´s hope you´re right"
