Kitty shivered slightly at the cold air, they had landed a little far from the city to not attract any unwanted questions. Bruce, or should she say batman, exited the plane doing a last minute check, he pulled out a baterang to look at it, he turned to Charles who was concentrating on something "What is it professor?" all jumped (except Logan) when they heard his voice change drastically. His voice now sounded dark, and a little raspy.
Charles turned to Bruce "I´m detecting another mutant, he is different than the others, his mutation is complete, obviously accelerated by someone, he has the instinct of an animal, extremely dangerous"-"do you want me to go after him? so you can find the Rogue" Charles looked unsure "I´m not sure Bru- I mean Batman, he is more animal than human, he would not hesitate in kill you"-"If he tries something I'll beat him" Charles still had his doubts, but agreed "Alright, go, but try to talk to him, we have to be kind to every mutant we find, no matter how lost they are, I will write down the coordinates" Batman nodded and took out his grappling hook, with one swift movement he attached it to the tallest tree and used it as a lift, when he was very high, he opened his "wings" and glided to the place where the other mutant was. While everybody watched in awe, Charles was deep in thought, when he looked at Batman´s eyes he saw a determination he only had seen in one person, Erick, A.K.A Magneto. That burning need for vengeance and to defeat everything that got in his way, he didn´t want Bruce to go to the same pat that Magneto took, he was pulled out of his day dream by Kitty "Wow, like, who knew he could fly"-"The guy truly is messed up" Scott added earning a smack in the back of the head delivered by Jean. "Alright team, I have finally localized Ana Marie, she is near, we have to find her"
Irene couldn't help but to feel nervous, her daughter disappeared and the vision of a man dressed up as a bat fighting the crocodilian monster where plaguing her mind, all that in the same day. Oh and Raven was coming "There you are my dear" Raven or Mystique to many, was now inside the house and even if she couldn't see, she could hear the frown in her voice "Hello Mystique is being a long time"-"Look Irene I didn't come here to catch up, I came here to find the girl"-"Yes, of course" she paused for a moment before speaking again "I can see her, she is going to the house of the boy that she drained"-"Can you guide me"- "You know I can, but Raven there´s other thing, the Bat.." Mystique graved Irene by the shoulders with a very hard grip and shook her "I´m getting sick of people telling me about a stupid Bat! We will search for Rogue and that´s it, Got it!?" Irene lowered her head and nodded "Of course, I'm sorry" she felt Mystique release her now bruised arm "Good now move it" Irene shook her head "Ignoring this man is going to be the downfall of you and your boos" Irene received a slap across the cheek "WHAT IS THAT SUPOSSED TO MEAN!" –"He is the most dangerous man to ever been born, if Magneto underestimates him, he will fall" Mystique shook her head "WE will deal with that later, now, Rogue" Irene nodded and cleaned a small tear out of her face. Even now the paths were closing, which ever the Batman chose it would affect all both mutants and humans.
Batman glide all the way to a house almost in the middle of the swamp, he heard some yelling from inside, he stepped a little closer to the house and tried to open the door. But the door was ripped from its place and hit Batman. Killer Crock smirked, his demonic yellow eyes following Batman´s every move "Well, if it isn't the bat that the Scarecrow told me so much about" Batman glared at him "You work for Crane" Croc rolled his eyes "Well aren't you the world´s greatest detective?" Batman throws a smoke bomb and disappeared in the shadows, when he was sure Croc had his back on him, he attacked. But Croc reacted faster and grabbed him by the throat "I can smell you a mile away, trying to hide from me is stupid" Batman kicked him square in the jaw and the proceeded to punch several times in the chest, Croc laughed at that "Your punches are pathetic nothing can hurt me!" he then bitted Batman in the shoulder making blood pour out of his armor. Bruce groaned in pain, he heard laughter behind him. The same laugh he heard at Kitty´s School.
"What do you think of my new employee Batman?" he was in his full scarecrow attire but now he added a voice distorter to make his voice sound like out of a nightmare "I must congratulate you for coming all the way up here to get me, but, now you will die" Croc didn't waste time and grabbed Batman by the neck once again "When I take a bite, I want the whole meal" Batman had very little chances of surviving a full attack, or a bite in his head, so he acted fast.
He pulled out some explosive jell and attached it to Croc´s jaw. He kicked in the stomach and activated the explosives. Croc brought both of his hands to his now aching jaw and realized an animal roar "That´s it bat-freak, I will reap you to pieces!" Crane was watching this very amused by this fight, o yes the bat maybe a challenge to his mind, but he was not as strong as Croc. He couldn't wait to see who would win.
A/N: HAHAHA, cliffhanger! Next character Rogue is attacked by Mystique, and Croc and Crane will give the Batman a fight to remember.
