X-men Mansion:
Kittybarely got any sleep that night, not because of her usual nightmares about the Scarecrow, or because she ate too many sweets like the other day and nearly drove the residents of the mansion insane. It was because her trip to Gotham was today. She got out of bed grinning ear to ear, grabbed her stuff and headed downstairs. She didn´t see anyone, except for Scott and Ororo, who where the ones who woke up the earliest. "Hello everyone" she greeted them as she poured some milk into her boll. "Good morning child, did you sleep well?" Ororo asked Kitty, she nodded excitedly "Well, like, I barely slept, but today is the day I go to Gotham! I heard that there are sooo many places to see and…" Scott frowned a little as Kitty continued to ramble, was Gotham really that safe? Sure there were some places in Bayville that where dangerous, but not to the scale of Gotham. Robbers and the mob ran the streets. The police could barely retain them and all the politicians were corrupt to the core. Was that a good place to let her friend go to? "So, like where´s Bruce?" Kitty said when she stopped rambling. "Right here" Bruce stepped into the kitchen… shirtless. Kitty blushed a bright scarlet and looked away. Scott raised an eyebrow "What were you doing?" Bruce finished his sandwich and sat next to Kitty. "Training, Logan wanted me to test the new training mode" Scott frowned even more "He usually asks me" Bruce said nothing and turned to Kitty "So, ready to go?" Kitty nodded eagerly "When are we going to the airport?" Bruce chuckled "Alfred will bring the helicopter here" Kitty´s eyes widened "We´re going in helicopter?" She asked hesitantly, Bruce nodded at Kitty "If you´re scared of heights I can hold your hand" Bruce said and grinned at her "Well, I better get changed, Alfred will be here soon" he said before leaving the room. Kitty sighted and stared dreamily at the door. Meanwhile Kitty was busy daydreaming about Bruce and Ororo busy with her food, Scott let his mind wander places. He will never openly admit it but he had his doubts about Bruce. He was so full of anger and hatred, he was a time bomb. And the most important thing of all, he was not a team player. He always did the missions his way, he didn't take orders. And that worried Scott. One day, they would both clash heads and that won't be pretty.
Alfred smiled when he caught the sight of the young Wayne. He exited the helicopter and pulled him into a hug "Master Wayne is good to see you again, the mansion without you feels lonely" Bruce smiled "I have missed you too Alfred, I hope you don't mind if I bring a friend with me to Gotham" Alfred gave him a blank stare "Please master Wayne tell that you´re not planning to pull a publicity stunt taking a model from Bayville" Behind Bruce someone giggled "I´m far from a model" Alfred smiled at the young child "excuse me I didn't see you there, what's your name?" Kitty extended her hand "Kitty, Kitty Pryde" Alfred shook her hand "Alright Miss. Pryde please follow me, have you traveled in helicopter before?" Kitty shook her head "Ah, very well then, pay attention Miss. Pryde" As Alfred explained the basics to Kitty; Bruce took his seat and waited the helicopter to start. Alfred took a seat next to him "we are ready to go" Bruce looked back at Kitty, who appeared to be graving the seat for dear life. Bruce nodded at the pilot and the helicopter took off. Kitty gasped at first, she looked down everything looked so small, and she decided it was better not look down or she might pass out. She decided it was better to look ahead; after all, the view was amazing. She smiled when she saw a pair of ducks flying nearby.
Bruce looked at Kitty; he really hoped she got a day she remembered.
Brotherhood:
Rogue grumbled annoyed as she grabbed something to eat from the fridge. Mystique had left to get a new recruit. Someone called Freddy or something. But that left her alone with the two freaks of the house "Hey yo" Toad greeted as he walked inside the kitchen "Get lost" Rogue growled at him. Toad rolled his eyes and grabbed as snack. He jumped right in front of her making her take a step back "What got you so moody" Rogue was annoyed so she simply pointed at the room upstairs "Him, if that thing had tried to kill you and now lived with you, please tell me you wouldn't be moody too" Toad shrugged "to be honest, he creeps me out" -"Glad to know that" both jumped when they heard the booming voice of Croc right next to them "How.. How did you get here without us hearing?" Toad managed to ask after he recovered his voice "I have my ways" Croc took out a chicken, he gave it a big bite. The two teenagers heard the bones cracking inside his mouth. Rogue was a bit pale "I´m going out" she said making quick steps to the door. Lance returned and looked at the crocodilian that was happily eating a chicken. Lance took a chair and sat right next to him "Mystique tells me you worked with Crane" Croc swallowed and looked at the teenager "Yeah, he´s the worst boss I ever had and that´s saying a lot" Lance rolled his eyes "Then I guess you know the Batman" Croc growled loudly "Yes and I´m going to hunt him down and tear him apart limb by limb" he said in a deadly voice that made Lance shiver a little. Croc started to mutter things to him so Lance decided to leave. This dude was crazy; he hoped he got thrown into the loony bin or something. Lance took a seat next to Toad in the TV and hoped it made him forgot that huge scaly monster that lived with them.
Gotham City:
"Is good to be back at the mansion, don't you agree Master Bruce?"-"Of course it is Alfred, I had missed it, you okay there Kitty" Kitty took some steps stumbling a little "Yeah, like, only a little bit dizzy" Bruce chuckled "come along, I want to show you the mansion"-"Mansion?" Kitty echoed. Bruce nodded "It has been in my family for quite a long time, my great, great, great grandfather actually had a fight with the infamous Solomon Grundy for this place" Kitty looked exited "Well what are we waiting for let´s go!" Bruce rolled his eyes "Is in the other direction Kitty" She blushed "I think I´ll let you do the tour thingy"
When they arrived at the mansion Kitty´s jaw fell wide open. "This place is gorgeous" she said in awe. Bruce grabbed a picture of him and his parents. "This place feels empty without the people that used to live here" Kitty could feel the sadness that emanated from him. She put a hand in his shoulder "I´m sorry Bruce"-"Tell me Kitty, what your religion says about the afterlife?" Bruce had a far way look, Kitty smiled at him "It says that all the people who try to do their best in this life will see their loved ones in the future and I think you´re one of the best persons in the world" Bruce smiled sadly "Thank you" Bruce shook his head "So ready to hit the town" Kitty nodded "Where are we going first"-"Wayne enterprises, sadly I have to see something in there, but I think you´ll like the cosmetics section" Kitty giggled "And after that"-"wherever you want" Kitty brought a hand to her chin trying to remember a place that she really wanted see "How about the botanic center, I heard they have the most gorgeous plants there" Bruce smiled "well we better get going, Lucius is going to get mad if I get late" Kitty looked out of the window nearly the whole ride. She had always lived in a small town, her father once went to Metropolis for business and told her how beautiful a big city like that was. Gotham was a little bit different of how her dad told her Metropolis. But it was amazing nonetheless. "Were here" Bruce announced. Kitty and Bruce walked through the halls. Just some people got near Bruce and diluted him. Kitty supposed it was because they were kind of afraid of him, being the heritage of the Wayne's and all that. They took a private lift that took them to one of the highest places in the building. He said some words to the secretary and she quickly nodded and pressed a button "Mr. Fox, Mr. Wayne has arrived" In less than a second a man in his forties came out of the office, he was African American and had a huge smile plastered in his face "Bruce, I haven't see you in so long" he said before pulling Bruce into a hug. Bruce returned it "It´s nice to see you too Lucius"-"I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I called you with a matter of great urgency" Bruce nodded "What is it?"-"Perhaps it would be better if we discuss this inside" he said motioning to the door "Very well, come on Kitty" Kitty nodded her mouth full of chocolate of a nearby table.
A/N: Ughh, I hate filler characters. Sorry for the long delay, but school decided to screw with me.
