Disclaimer: I don't own Danny Phantom or 6teen.
Every boy in class dropped their jaws and their minds as a girl walked in. Calling her a girl was an understatement. She could pass as a model, maybe more.
Amelie had black wavy hair with dark blue eyes and a freckle. She was taller than most girls with a curvy, voluptuous figure and a large chest, like you'd see in comic books and japanamation series. Her outfit emphasized her figure with a pink blouse that had the top two buttons undone with her skirt showing off her long, toned legs. Her looks had all the boys staring doggedly—especially Dash, who dropped over his desk.
Danny and Tucker were amazed at how beautiful Amelie was. They never expected anyone to be so attractive. On the other hand, Sam scoffed as she thought another pretty face with an empty head had entered the school.
And she wasn't the only one with a sour demeanor with the appearance of another beauty. On the other side of the classroom, Paulina Sanchez, the prettiest and most popular girl in school, felt threatened by the arrival of the foreign exchange student.
"Amélie, would you care to say a few words to the class?" Lancer asked.
"Bonjour, I am Amelie Lemieux. I am from Paris, France and will be here in Amity Park for the next few months. I hope to learn much from all of you," Amelie introduced with a smile and a beautiful French accent.
"Don't worry babe, you will," Dash said with a cocky grin. The other boys gave a glare, but he replied casually by pounding his fist into his palm. After they backed off, he signaled to his fellow jocks.
Amelie rolled her eyes as Mr. Lancer silenced the boy.
"Since Ms. Lemieux will be learning English, she has been assigned two periods of English for a few weeks. So I expect all of you to give a helping hand. Ms. Lemieux, why don't you sit at the front? Would someone mind lending their seat?" Lancer asked. From the boy's reaction, he thought it best to keep an eye on things.
The boys in the class raised their hands as they jumped up to volunteer. It meant being away from the pretty girl, but it meant being near for a second to them.
Danny groaned as he tried to concentrate between everybody's whispers and the thought that Vlad would be up to something. He didn't trust that man with anything, and hearing of his reason Amelie is here makes him wonder.
Too bad he didn't keep his mind on class. A blue wisp escaped from his mouth and through the wall. Another ghost had come.
"Now remember class, this is important and will be on the test, tomorrow," Lancer said, tapping the board. "Amelie you will be excused from the test since you started today."
Danny groaned, knowing he had to do something. He'd get the notes from Sam and Tucker after. Raising his hand, the boy asked to use the restroom, hoping the ghost wouldn't take too much time.
After the ghost fight, a ghostly octopus or ectopuss, as Danny puts it, the ghost boy had seen the hallways were almost blocked with students. Amelie had only taken a few steps out when she was flooded by boys. Some asked her out, and some tried to swim past everyone. The rest just stared with their tongues hanging out.
Amélie stared blankly. She knew of her looks, though the boys back home didn't pant like dogs. Maybe it was a cultural difference, but she already wasn't a fan. All the girl wanted was to get to her locker and prepare for class.
"All I wanted to do was see more of the world," Amelie said to herself. "Is that too much to ask?" She closed her locker and walked to the next period. "I wish these boys wouldn't always do this."
If anything good was to come of this attention, it was that the jocks had to organize themselves just to get past everyone, but none of them got a chance to talk.
The girls nearby scoffed at the boys' manners. They knew the reason, but the way the male half of the school was acting was beyond ridiculous.
Lunch was no better. As soon as Amelie walked in, the boys grappled and fought as they vied for her attention. From the other end, some of the girls growled as a few in the crowd were boyfriends. Angered at being left behind, it was clear, there would be mass dumping later.
The jocks, led by Dash, spearheaded the pile of boys as they made it to the French girl.
The only ones who didn't join were the geeks and nerds, who knew themselves much too weak to survive, and Danny. Tucker had been eating with his friends as they watched the carnage.
Sam was smiling the whole time. Boys fighting was rather amusing, given that Amelie had retrieved her food and sat down. It wasn't until Coach Tetslaff kicked the doors open did everyone disperse.
"What is going on here?" the large lady screamed. Just one sharp glare, and everyone but the football team dispersed evenly in the room. The coach gave a prison warden's survey before exiting. "That's what I thought. Another outburst like that, and well...you'll see at gym."
The student body gulped audibly as they saw their smiling teacher walk away. After she left, it was back to business as the boys, mostly the jocks, circled the French girl. The jocks had an edge as they used brute strength to keep everyone at bay.
"So, what brings you to this schoo?" Dash asked, closest to the girl. He gave a suave, cocky smile as his eyes walked over any available inch of her body to see. "Do you like quarterback?" He added absent-mindedly.
Amelie inched back at the boy's advances. He was too close for comfort and had to make sure the jock kept eye contact.
"I came here to study...American culture. This is what the, how do you say, point of the exchange program is all about.
"Well, it doesn't get as all American as this." Dash flexed his muscles. The jocks glared at the quarterback, wanting a turn with Amelie.
But the French girl rolled her eyes. The display of manliness was underwhelming as the boy's off-putting behavior. The girl had arrived within the week, and she did not want this kind of attention.
The bell rang as the next period was underway. Amelie found herself once again surrounded by boys before the teacher arrived. While she waited patiently, there was one question on her mind, and she was too curious not to ask.
"By the way, I heard Amity Park is, how do you say, haunted?" Amelie said, looking at the crowd of boys.
Those words got everyone's attention. Amid the hormonal rampage causing the sea of admirers, the students recalled all the ghosts that haunt their hometown. The boys sweat as they remain quiet. They fear Amelie will leave if she sees a ghost.
"Uhhh...yeah..." one boy answered awkwardly. "Did you get hurt by one?" That got him a punch to the shoulder.
"Actually, I didn't think I see a, how you say, phantasm—no, ghost, but then I did see a boy...Uhh fly by," Amelie replied.
She recalled seeing someone fly by after a bike this morning. She didn't give it much thought as she didn't want to be late for school. However, the girl had unknowingly stepped on a land mine as a voice was heard across the room.
"Oh no you didn't!" Came a yelling voice. Everyone turned to see a mad Paulina getting up from her desk as she stormed over. "You did not just say my precious ghost boy saved you!"
"I am sorry?" Amelie replied, unable to understand the girl's rage. "Your ghost boy? I just saw someone fly by."
Danny rolled his eyes as he watched. The popular girl still had a minor crush on his ghostly half. Too bad for her. He was not interested anymore. Heck, he didn't even save anyone today besides the general populace. This was just the routine ghost hunting he had to be accustomed to.
The ghost boy decided it was best to ignore this as best he could before checking his stuff. He forgot some of his homework back home.
"You heard me! If anyone is to be save by the ghost boy, it's me!" Paulina continued.
Paulina wasn't a fan of the French girl when she took the boy's stares away, but there was no forgiveness for having Danny Phantom near the girl. Despite the fact, he saves people regardless and probably would if needed. Though she didn't seem to register that Phantom didn't save Amelie or anything else. Seemed Ms. Sanchez didn't care to think things through.
Sam and Tucker stared at Danny. The former wore a bit of anger as the latter was jealous. The ghost boy gestured for them to lean in as they whispered.
"Dude, you got to meet her before anyone else?" Tucker asked before he grinned. "Did you get her number?"
"Dude, all I did was chase Johnny 13. That's all. I don't check to see if anyone's watching unless I go ghost," Danny replied, rummaging through his bag. "Oh great, I didn't get to finish history." the boy began to remember how he had to deal with the Box Ghost pestering everyone at the bubble wrap store again. It was the fifth time this month.
"So you're telling me you didn't see or talk to her?" Sam asked with suspicion in her voice.
It was lost on Danny, who looked at her innocently.
"Sam, I was trying to stop Johnny. Besides, what difference does it make?" Danny asked.
Tucker shook his head as he watched. Sam gave a slight scowl as she glanced at Amelie for the first time. It was only for a second, but the goth gave a side glance at Danny as the class began.
Everyone took notes and everything as the school day went by without any more ghostly incidents.
The next day was no cakewalk as Danny rushed to class. He was up all night fighting ghosts again and barely had the time to finish his homework. And he didn't want anything to do with Dash today, although the jock was more concerned with Amelie, like everyone else. So, he opted to fly quickly to school.
Transforming back to Fenton, Danny looked around the halls for anyone. Once the coast was clear, the boy left the janitor's closet he used and went straight to his locker.
He looked around as he ran out. He just wanted a quiet morning, nothing else. Sam and Tucker would arrive later, which gave Danny some peace of mind as he actually came to school early. None of the teachers would mind. In fact, Mr. Lancer had commented on Danny's tardiness, saying how he'd be more than happy to see the ghost boy arrive early.
Danny ran down to his locker in a hurry. The sooner he was in class, the better. But he didn't think anyone else was here and knocked into some, landing them both on the floor.
"Sorry about that I—" Danny stopped mid-sentence as he saw who he bumped into. And to his surprise, it was the last person he'd ever see.
Amelie Lemieux.
As I was ruminating this ship in my mind, I began bits and pieces of a few chapters. That's not to say this will be regularly updated. This fic is low priority right now. But I hope you can enjoy this.
Edited 2/10/22: Amelie's summary is edited for detail
Reviews:
Invader Johnny: As am I. This is probably the first time these characters are shipped together in a fic.
RonaldM40196867: I am aware of the 6teen Wikia. I've looked it up to properly research Amelie.
Luiz4200: She appeared in the episode "Crime of Fashion."
Jebest4781: You are correct. With her only appearance, Amelie could be considered an original character. That'll be the hard part as I figure out how to flesh her personality and history out some more. But that should make things interesting. Not a bad idea about the material; I might just do that.
