Disclaimer: I don't own Danny Phantom or 6teen.

"Oh, no. Not now," Danny muttered.

"What's wrong?" Amelie asked.

From behind, the sound of screams could be heard as a pair of ghostly octopi appeared. The creepy cephalopods dragged lockers off the walls as they trashed the hallways. Dash and the football team were seen running away past everyone, pushing everyone, including Amelie, out of the way. Amelie stared in shock as Danny eyed the ghosts. He needed a place to transform, but he noticed the French girl was frozen in place when he ran.

On instinct, Danny reached for her hand and pulled the girl away.

"Follow me," he said as Amelie was dragged away.

Sam and Tucker followed shorty, getting away from the crowd. Most didn't notice Danny's bold action, except for his gothic friend, who gave a slight glare at the joined hands. The girl would want a word on that later.

Tucker just wondered if he still had a shot.

The class ran into a nearby classroom, as per new school policies regarding ghosts. Shutting the door behind, the jocks went to work barracking the entrance, unaware the ghosts could still phase through with them trapped inside. But the football team wasn't known for their brains.

Amelie blinked, coming down from the shock as she noticed the students huddling and murmuring together. She also saw that despite Sam and Tucker being in the room, but Danny wasn't.

Where was the boy? And didn't he lead her here? When did he let go?

While she didn't know him that well, the girl still needed to know he was alright and walked to the door. He might have been able n the other side.

But a pair of green, well actually teal, eyes watched her move.

"Amelie, where are you going?" Paulina asked with feigned shock. "Don't you know you need to stay with us while a ghost is around?"

Immediately the football players within rushed the girl. Or one quarterback did as the others tackled him. Kwan, who had been arguing with Dash earlier, had managed to touch Amelie's shoulder as his friend, Dale, wrapped his arm around the girl's waist.

"Amelie, you shouldn't go out!" Kwan cried out.

"Yeah, let us keep you safe," Dale added with a grin.

Amelie pushed them away, needing some breathing room. Tolerating the constant following was one thing, but she was in no mood for another circling. She walked past the boys as she took some deep breaths.

Now was not the time to get emotional about things.

But that barely stopped the boys from hurling around her.

Paulina grinned, happy things were going her way. She crept over to the door as she went to be saved by the ghost boy. But as she neared the door, it swung open to reveal Coach Tetslaff coming through.

"Ms. Sanchez! What are you doing!? Get back with the group!" The Coach demanded as she noticed the jocks around Amelie. "And what did I say before!?"

The jocks separated from Amelie as she walked to Tetslaff. She'd sneak away later, noticing Paulina talking to another girl while sneering.

The French girl couldn't make out what the Hispanic girl was saying but couldn't help feeling it was about her. It was probably nothing, and she chose to ignore it.

Just like the look she missed from Paulina.

"Ok, you guys," Danny proclaimed with glowing fists. "Why don't we do this the easy way and you can just jump into the thermos."

The Ectopusses growled as they flew towards him. Ghosts typically don't want the easy way, and these were out for revenge. Flying forward, the ghostly cephalopods used their tentacles to wrangle the ghost boy.

They wanted to squeeze the afterlife out of him.

Danny phased through the ground as the tentacles followed. The boy felt triumphant as these hosts are only a hassle during his initial weeks of ghost powers.

However, this time they were smarter as only one set of tentacles were phased into the ground.

When Danny came up to bash the first ectopuss, the second one grabbed him and spun him around. After dizzying the ghost boy, the ghost threw him to the other, where a barrage of curled up appendages punched him at once.

Phantom groaned as he got up from the floor.

"Ok, note to self, make sure other ghost is done before sneak attack," Danny berated. He got back up as the two ghosts floated over to him. "Or something like it."

Usually, this would be foreboding, but the ghostly hero was too powerful for these two. Why they even bothered him was a serious question.

Danny just decided to end things by channeling blue ectoplasmic energy and fired at the ghosts, freezing them.

The eight-legged ghosts were encased in ice. Though a few free tentacles were free, squirming as the appendages tried to drag their bodies away from the ghost boy. If it weren't because the ghosts scared everyone in school besides Danny and his friends, it would have been entertaining to watch.

But all things must come to an end. Even the dancing octopi on ice.

Pulling out the Fenton Thermos, the ectopusses were sucked into the cylindrical prison, ending the fight and bringing safety back to the school.

Danny looked around to see the damage done. It was mainly the few scared students nearby with the ones who wanted to see him fight. Paulina was among them, of course. It seemed everyone managed to get past Coach Tetslaff for reasons unknown. Lockers were mismatched along the walls, with some littering the floors. Minimal damage at best, but it hurt the boy's pride to let anything happen with such weak ghosts attacking.

Danny pondered to himself about the ghosts. Those particular worked for one person, whom the boy would have a chat with him when possible. But first, he had to get to class.

Flying away to transform, the ghost boy didn't notice Amelie watching from the corner, shocked by the entire ordeal. Superheroes were not every day. In fact, she knew of a couple already, but she didn't think to find one in a small town. Not to mention the fact that ghosts are real. And these weren't like the ones in the movies boys would take her to, though special effects could not compare to the real thing.

Amelie walked through the wrecked hallway. Her hand grazed one of the damaged lockers before it fell off, landing on the ground with a dull thud. The entire group of students she was with ganged up to check out the damage, hoping to catch a glimpse of Danny Phantom in action. Or snag some selfies and post them on social media.

Instead, they only saw a couple of busted lockers.

"Great, I missed my ghost boy," Paulina pouted.

"That's fine. He'll show up again the next time there's a ghost," Kwan remarked.

"Do you ever wonder what he does after this?" Dash asked.

"Obviously!" Paulina grabbed their attention. "He's thinking about me." She struck a pose with her hands behind her head as she smiled.

"But I thought everyone was thinking of the hot French girl, Amelie."

That earned Kwan a shove from the Hispanic girl. She was in no mood to hear her name again. She glared at the French girl, who was still studying the wrack age.

The teachers came and rounded up the students. Each of them groaned and moaned as they returned to class. But Amelie was quiet as she pondered about these supernatural beings.

The school day went by as if nothing had happened. Classes resumed, but the students talked about the ghost attack. It was always a hot topic, especially after any ghostly events. The hallways were being littered with rumors and notes about what happened.

"I saw from inside the locker I was shoved into! There were two ghost octopi and Danny Phantom fought them off like they were nothing!"

"So, Danny Phantom left after that?"

"He just flew away."

"He's so cool!"

The students talked about the ghost boy nonstop. It was a usual routine as the hero was an idol to most in town. Even Amelie was impressed by the way they talked about Phantom.

In the corner of her eye, the French girl saw Danny Fenton down the hall. He wore this off smile of triumph as he waved to his friends. The trio walked away like nothing had happened.

Danny noticed the girl staring and gave a friendly wave as Sam pushed him away. The goth gave a glare as the boys gave a confused face. Well, the ghost boy wore one. Tucker knew the details and decided to go with the flow. Though he did snag a photo of the girl.

Amelie wanted to go after and talk to the boy, but the teacher came into the hallway. They rallied the students back to classes, much to many chagrins.

"Ok, people! Let move it along!" Coach Tetslaff yelled. She did not look happy as she recalled how everyone went behind her back to watch Danny Phantom in action.

"But the ghost boy..."

"Now!" Tetslaff's yell got Paulina and the students' attention as they walked back to class. Amelie walked beside the coach, curious about the vents that transpired.

"Entraîneuse Tetslaff, who was that fellow fighting the...how you say poulpes in English?"

"You mean Danny Phantom?" Tetslaff answered. She had no clue what poulpes were but figured where this conversation was going. "He's just some local ghost boy who fights ghosts. A lot of people like him."

"Danny...Fantôme?"

"Phantom. Yeah...you're gonna be hearing a lot about him. So, just talk to your classmates. They'll tell you about him." Tetslaff pushed Amelie to class. There was no need to drag this on, except... "Oh, ask Paulina. She's apparently the head of his fan club. Didn't even know we had one." The coach muttered that last part.

Everywhere she went, Amelie kept hearing the name Danny Phantom. She had heard of his name before. It was on the billboard welcoming people in. The ghost boy was a local hero. Guys gushed about him, and girls crushed on him.

The French girl didn't get a good look at him, but she wasn't sure what to think after the attack. Even though only three lockers were trashed, she wasn't sure if the ghosts were here because of Danny Phantom or vice versa.

When she asked fellow classmates, she got mixed results. Some had been honest, while others sounded like crazy rumors. Others just made passes at her.

"Danny Ohantom? He's awesome!"

"The guy just appears, kicks ghost butt, and goes off like a super hero!"

"He's soooo dreamy. Especially with those eyes."

"I hear, he's a ghost of a kid who wanted to be a superhero. So he dove off the tallest tower and haunts this town until he's made up for past sins."

"Phantom? Yo we're tight!"

"You like Phantom? Cause...I know him. Why don't we meet up around, say, my place Friday night?"

The last one earned the boy a slap. Amelie was no fool, but she needed answers and had a feeling where to get some. Now she just needed some room to breathe as she walked home to finish her homework.

This fic has gotten more attention than I thought. Nice to know. ANyway, Amelie is now curious about Phantom and we know who she's gonna call. Enjoy!
