Disclaimer: I don't own Danny Phantom or 6teen.

Danny woke up at the hour of nine in the morning. It was Saturday with no school or anyone besides his friends to hang out with. Though he couldn't say the same for ghosts. It would only be a matter of time till one showed up, causing trouble. So free time was vital.

Getting changed, the ghost boy rushed downstairs for some breakfast. Cereal sounded good, and there was still plenty of it, but he stopped at the bottom of the stairs as he heard his parents. They were blabbering on about ghosts again, which meant he had to wait or risk getting caught up.

To his surprise, after they stopped talking, another voice came up. One that wasn't in this house at regular hours.

Carefully walking over to the kitchen, Danny was shocked to see Amélie Lecrouix sitting across from his parents. She listened as she examined the latest Fenton ghost hunting devices: the Fenton Weasel 2.0 and Fenton Mace.

Danny wasn't sure how long he was staring. Heck, he wasn't aware he was doing so until his mother snapped him out of it.

"Danny, it's rude to stare," Maddie Fenton said sweetly.

Danny blushed as the girl looked at him. He was mesmerized by her looks but was stunned that she came here of all places. Usually, ghost hunting was a girl repellent, except for Sam and another.

"Sorry," the ghost boy said, turning away.

"Danny! Why did you tell us you had a pretty friend?" Jack asked.

"Because I don't really know her," the boy stated matter-of-factly. "No offense."

"It is, as you say, ok," Amélie replied. She turned to the parents, who wore a stern expression. "I have only been able to talk to Danny twice. Ze boys at Casper High are...how do you say, liking me very much."

"We can see that," Jack commented. That earned him a stomped foot as his wife gave him a look.

"What? I only meant that teenage boys like girls. Why I remember when I first saw Maddie and—"

"Please don't finish that sentence," Danny pleaded.

The Fenton patriarch raised a brow in confusion as he felt another stomp on his foot. The man noticed his wife giving a subtle hint of frustrated embarrassment that was lost on him.

Maddie was aware of how uncomfortable the subject might be for Danny and tried to keep things steady, in a sense.

Danny kept to the sidelines, answering only when he had anything to add to the topic. Amélie would sometimes try to initiate the boy into talking more, much to misunderstood pride of Jack and Maddie, but the boy was adamant in keeping things neutral for the moment.

The last thing the ghost boy wanted was to talk to Amélie with his parents watching. In fact, if he ever hung out with the French girl, he'd want his folks as far away as possible.

The conversation lasted a while before Jack shot up as an alarm went off. He rushed to the basement as Maddie followed. The two peeked out to thank Amélie for her time as they hurried to the lab downstairs.

It was now Danny and Amélie in the kitchen, alone. The boy nervously fiddled with his fingers as he tried to find the right words. But the girl got up.

"I'm afraid I must go.," Amélie said.

"Huh?" Danny said in astonishment. "You're done?"

"Yes. I believe you don't want anything to do with me, right now."

"It's...not that..."

"Then, how you say, why are you avoiding me?" Amélie asked with piercing eyes.

Danny sighed, getting up to walk the girl to the door.

"It's not you I'm avoiding. It what comes after if I talk to you too much."

It didn't take a genius to know what the boy meant. Amélie quickly understood the boys causing this. While she could ignore them, she was getting tired of being swarmed by the jocks while they pushed everyone else away.

Granted, the infighting was putting some brakes on that, but still.

"I see." The French girl gave a blank stare. "So you are just as afraid of the...football players as the rest of them."

Amélie turned to the door. She heard enough and got what she needed. But didn't get two steps out as she heard a dry laugh from Danny. She glanced over her shoulder to see a smirk on his face.

"Dash? Not really. If anything, he's just annoying," Danny snarked. The boy's face displayed his honesty. It had not been that Dash was intimidating, but rather, the boy saw him as a pest.

The girl gave a curious brow at the boy before leaving. It seemed there was more to Danny Fenton than he let on.

"Curious," she said to herself as the door closed. She walked away, thinking about those words and the boy who spoke them.

Danny left the house soon after Amélie. The boy had offered to walk her home despite the consequences, but she said she had other things to do first. With that said, he waved as the French girl walked down the street. For a moment, Danny watched her walk before shaking his head and heading in the other direction.

The ghost boy was off to meet Tucker and Sam, only to see them at the corner. From the jealous and angry faces they wore, it was apparent they saw Amélie leave Fenton Works.

Sam stormed over as Tucker kept a safe distance to mediate things.

"Uh, you mind explaining what Amélie is doing at your house?" Sam interrogated. Danny was taken back. He knew the goth to get angry, but not like this.

"Ok, what's with the interrogation?" Danny said, taking a couple steps back. "All Amélie wanted was some information about the ghosts here."

"Including Danny Phantom?" Sam retorted.

"A little bit." Danny pinched his fingers together.

"Dude! You're telling us that incredibly hot, French girl, Amélie , was at your house!? Talking to your parents!?" Tucker nearly screamed as he shook the ghost boy. "And you didn't even try to ask her out!?"

Tucker was too close for comfort as he zoomed in with every sentence. The ghost boy leaned back as he procured some space.

"Tucker, chill, alright?" Danny responded as he freed himself. "I'm not going to ask her out, especially since last time I talked to her, Dash butted in."

"Ouch," Tucker said.

"Exactly. I try anything and what do you think he'll do next?"

Tucker didn't need to say or hear anything. The boy grimaced as he recalled how the quarterback stuffed five nerds in a locker just because they looked at Amélie like he did. And the entire football team was behind him.

It was crazy how the meatheads banded and dispersed like...well, nothing came to mind for comparison. It was becoming a new term on its own. And it was becoming a pathetic display of whatever the jocks were trying to prove.

"I think you should let things be," Sam remarked. She had been reticent today. "You know, don't mess with things in the school order and the like. Besides she'll be gone in like months, so don't worry about it."

Danny and Tucker blinked in shock.

"But, you messed with things last year when you changed the menu," Tucker commented with a frustrated tone. Part of him never forgave the girl for taking away all the meat on the cafeteria menu.

"Not to mention the ghost that came after," Danny added with a snark.

Sam glared as the boys did the same to her. The goth had said not a word the entire conversation. She just scowled as she listened to the ordeal. She did not care for anything popular, nor did she like the idea of the new foreign exchange student being close to Danny. Even if it was only because Amélie had questions about ghosts.

But she would never voice those opinions out loud. So, for now, it was just the usual teenage angst techniques, like deflecting.

"I'd say you be careful around her. She might not be as innocent as you think," Sam remarked.

"Why would you say that? If anything she's just probably tired from everyone hounding her," Danny replied.

"And she gets hounded by everyone," Tucker added. "The guys like her, but I've been hearing Paulina is not as much of a fan of her as you. There's even been talk of taking down Amélie ."

"How do you know," Sam said with some disgust.

"Oh, Paulina has been talking to nerds about revenge. It's been going around our circle for a while," Tucker explained, pulling up the online forum on his PDA. "She is really mad no one's paying attention to her now."

Sam gave a rare sweet smile. While she was not one for looking on the positive side of things, the girl detested Paulina. Their first meeting was the usual school drama as it went downhill from there. The idea of the girl not being seen as pretty gave a sense of karmic catharsis come early.

It was then the familiar sound of screams was heard once again. Danny looked to see not only Johnny 13 speeding on his bike, but Amélie was with him, gripping him like her life was on the line. But what drew the screams was Johnny's girlfriend, Kitty, chasing him with rage in her voice.

"You came all this way to the human world just to flirt with girls!? On our anniversary!?" Kitty screamed. Saying she was angry was an understatement.

Danny sighed as Tucker and Sam covered him for any onlookers.

"I'm going ghost!" Danny cried out as he transformed.

Johnny 13 was cruising past the streets of Amity Park. He had been minding his own business when he noticed the local girls, proceeding to flirt with them, despite his better judgment.

It hadn't been five minutes till his girlfriend, Kitty, showed up and was ready to blast him into next week.

It was a mystery why he would act in such a manner when he knew this to be the outcome. Maybe he thought he'd get away with it. But here was being chased again through town.

"It's our anniversary today and you're here again!? Flirting with girls!?" Kitty was furious. Today of all days was not the time she wanted to catch this. She knew Johnny was here and tried to have faith that he wouldn't act like this, but her intuition was correct.

Johnny's bike roared through town as he disappeared and phased through a nearby building. He lost Kitty for now, but because of today she was still on the hunt. He rode down the street, taking a moment to calm down as he saw a large crowd gathering at a cafe.

Boys were flocking like birds but drooling like dogs as they noticed Amélie putting in an application for a job. It was one of the few places she could work without the constant annoyance of boys, by which she meant the employees. The girl left after grabbing some water, where Johnny 13 spotted her.

The ghost rode up loudly, temporarily forgetting about Kitty, who had floated down the street. He gave a cocky grin as he presented himself as charming as possible.

"Hello there, beautiful! How's about a ride?" Johnny said suavely. He revved his bike as the engine roared.

"I am not riding with you anywhere," Amélie said, backing away. As soon as Kitty joined the scene, the girl took more steps.

"Johnny! Get away from her!" Kitty screamed, blasting away. Despite having an idea of the whole story, her rage was partially blinding, putting Amélie in her scopes as the shots fired in widespread.

The French girl ran across the sidewalk as she dodged the oncoming fire.

Johnny, the primary target, revved his bike as he jetted down the street. The motored vehicle roared as he cut corners and buildings with his ghostly powers. But this time, his girlfriend was wise to his tricks.

The punk turned in fear to see Kitty's angry face glaring at him. To compare her gaze to daggers was an understatement. It sent a massive chill down his spine.

Zigzagging and vice king the streets, Johnny didn't check where he was going and soon had an unwanted or wanted passenger if he did notice.

Amélie was running as fast as she could. Her sneakers were getting a run for their money as she made a turn down the next street. At the corner, she thought she would be before tripping over someone, flying forward. By some form of bad luck, she landed on the back of Johnny's bike.

Now on the bike, Amélie held onto Johnny for her dear life, adjusting herself, so she didn't fall off. Her arms were wrapped around the ghost's torso as he sped through town. Her legs were used to tighten herself on the seat. Her hair waved in the air, as did her skirt as she wore the look of fear on her face.

Johnny would've felt the girl's grip as she used him for support, but he was too focused on the road right to notice. And part of him didn't want to turn around.

"You came all this way to the human world just to flirt with girls!? On our anniversary!?" Kitty screamed.

"Hey! I was getting you a present!" Johnny retorted.

"Liar!"

Another blast, and things were getting too heated for the unlucky ghost's liking. Johnny glanced at the ground, where his shadow was.

"Shadow! Distract her!" Johnny commanded his shadow.

From the ground, the dark phantom peaked its head out, glancing at Kitty. A scowl never left its face, turning to Johnny before giving a shake of its head and going back to the ground. It knew better than to get involved.

"Seriously!?" Johnny cried out, speeding up. He was unaware of his guest.

People around were curious about the commotion as Kitty chased the two around. Danny was hot on their tail.

The ghost boy thought quickly, pulling out his thermos and sucking in Kitty. The angry ghost girl screamed as she was contained.

Johnny slowed down around an empty street as he noticed the blasts ended. He sighed in relief, now seeing Amélie holding on tightly.

"So you did want a ride," he commented. He gave a cocky smile, giving the girl a once over again. "You could've just asked."

Amélie calmed down as she got off the motorbike. She steadied herself against a building as the ghost parked his bike. The girl turned and gave a glare at the punk ghost.

"Non! Je ne voulais pas monter sur votre... vélo bruyant!" Amélie yelled. Her words, while rejecting, only drew in the ghost punk, who didn't understand a word.

He gets a tap on his shoulder. Turning around, Johnny groaned as he saw Danny Phantom with his hand charged with ectoplasmic energy.

Johnny glanced behind the ghost boy, where his shadow formed behind growling. Danny didn't blink or turn as he plunged his fist into the dark phantom. His eyes turned blue as the gruesome ghost was frozen solid.

"Hey, man. Take it easy. I was just having a little spat with Kitty," Johnny said, playing things close to the best. "It was nothing."

Danny glanced at Amélie, who was adjusting her hair and clothes, dusting herself off as she watched. Johnny glanced over his shoulder, remembering she was apparently worth him during the ride.

"Ok. Ok. Maybe she got a little involved, but hey, no harm done."

"Take it up with Kitty." Danny aimed the thermos at Johnny. The unlucky ghost flew away in fear before being sucked in. Yelling could be heard from inside, but that's what he wrought for getting distracted.

Danny sighed, now noticing Amélie staring at him.

"Are you alright?" Danny asked.

Amélie took the time to study the ghost boy, now getting a good look at him for the first time. His piercing glowing green showed concern. He seemed younger, evident that he was shorter but strong as his black and white jumpsuit showed some muscle building.

"I'm gonna take it you're not ok," Danny said, snapping the girl back to his face.

"Oh, excusez-moi," Amélie said. She cleared her throat as she adjusted herself. "Thank you. I am, as you say, alright." The girl gave him a smile, grateful for the help.

Danny stared in wonder. It wasn't the first time the girl smiled, but It was beautiful. It made him think of a morning without ghosts, innocent and peaceful. For the first time, the ghost boy saw in the girl a new attractive quality. It was an attribute he never doubted, but now Amélie was not the popular girl at school.

Now, she was just Amélie.

The moment was short and sweet as the sounds of sirens went off.

"Sorry, but that's my cue to leave. Stay safe now," Danny said as he flew off. He didn't look back but still felt the girl's smile as his heart beat a little faster.

Amélie watched as he flew away before walking away. She noticed Johnny's bike was still present and carefully walked around the vehicle. It couldn't hurt her, but right now, the last thing she wanted on her mind was the ghost punk.

He made it back soundly. His parents were out hunting Phantom, and Jazz went to the mall. This left him time alone to relax. He deserved it.

Or so he thought as he phased through the door.

"Not much for a conventional entrance. Are you, Daniel?"

Danny froze as he noticed a man in the living room sipping tea. He was as old as his parents with silver-white hair and a lean build dressed in an expensive suit.

"Vlad," Danny seethed. "What do you want?"

Another chapter, with extra developments. Glad to see people enjoy this though things will be taking a slow burn with love. There will be more focus on character development. Enjoy.

Next chapter, we finally have Vlad show up. Plus, a little extra on the conversation with the Fenton's.

Special Thanks! to ZoomedIn for four consecutive reviews.

Reviews:

Invader Johnny: Definitely. But that's gonna take time. But not forever, given how long it can take me to update things.

Jebest4781: Thanks!

KorvainLightsphire: No. Either Amélie doesn't see many heroes on the news, or it's not that common. Ladybug exists, but some things are still in the works here.

RonaldM40196867: No.

Luiz4200: She doesn't suspect a thing.

ZoomedIn: I have to think about Jude. He's in Canada right now. You'll see Vlad's role next chapter.
