Disclaimer: I don't own Danny Phantom or 6teen

Danny kept a small eye on Amélie now and then since the fight at the mall. Because of Spectra, a feeling something could happen to her again nagged at him. He talked to Sam and Tucker about the dark wisp, but didn't get as much help as he thought he would.

Evident as he talked to them at lunch. With everyone caught up in the hierarchical drama of teenagers, no one ever bothered the trio, unless Dash was angry.

Danny was at the table as Sam and Tucker got out their lunches. The former wore anger on her sleeve as the ghost boy finished his time at the mall.

"Let me get this straight, Spector tries to take over Amélie's life and and you want to watch over her still. This wouldn't happen to be a perfect chance to guard her against any ghosts that might show up?" Sam seethed at their table. After hearing about the incident with Spectra, she had suspicions, knowing her friends.

"Sam, it's not like that. But like I said, Spectra tried to take over Amélie's body, like identity theft, only worse." Danny took a bite of his food, or what he thought was edible. This morning's ghostly encounter left him unable to brown bag it to school, leaving him at the mercy of the cafeteria. But at least it was not Monday's mystery meatloaf.

Sam, however, still sent him a dirty look. Putting down her tofu soy melt sandwich, she rested her arms crossed on the table, initiating a stare off with the ghost boy.

"Right...and I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that Amelie happens to look great in a swim suit or how you probably got a look at more," Sam snarked, leaning forward with narrow eyes.

Danny frowned, holding in his guilt. He never told the goth about how the swimsuit snapped or how he looked from above to see an ample amount of cleavage Barry contained by her arms. For the latter, it was more about a guy code the ghost boy had come to as an understanding, mainly because he figured Sam would unleash her fury at him if she knew and pet of him feared that.

"Sam, I know that Amelia is hot, really hot. Like hotter than Paulina and Star combined to be honest. So hot that—" Danny paused when he saw her sending him another dirty look and he realized he was getting off topic and into a potential minefield.

"My point is that she's already been attacked and she's clearly been affected by it. Granted, she seemed happy hanging out with Star, but are you suggesting that I do nothing and let her be overshadowed by Spectra? Who knows what she'd do to Amélie."

"That's not what I'm saying at all." Sam groaned, leaning back into her seat against an imaginary wall. Part of her couldn't argue, not wanting such a fate to happen to anyone, but another knew about teenage hormones. Even if she didn't have the same train of thought as her male friends, she understood how troublesome puberty can be. Not to mention, she was talking to a boy who could walk through walls, disappear, and fly.

"Then if you can tell me what I can do to protect Amelia without having to guard her, I'd love to hear it," Danny said sarcastically.

Sam hated that there was some point to the boy's words, despite his tone. But there was another he was missing.

"Ok, fine. Do what you want, but can you watch Amélie and protect the town from an infestation of ghosts?" Sam took a bite of her sandwich.

Danny wanted to retort, but he didn't have anything to say. Sure, the town didn't have an infestation, but there were still too many attacks in a day for his liking. But part of him was stubborn and looked at Tucker for any advice.

"Dude, I'd love the idea of watching Amélie, really love it, but Sam has a point. And I don't mean she's completely right, but I think Spectra is the only one interested in Amélie and we can handle her. You can do what you want, but if you need help or anything, we got your back. Don't forget that," Tucker said, smiling at the last part as Sam nodded. He and the goth were not gonna abandon their best friend for anything, hot girl or not.

Danny gave a smile at his friend and went back to lunch. Though he promised to brown bag it to school next time. The slop on his tray might have moved a bit when he wasn't looking, or he was just paranoid from all the ghost fighting.

"So, you didn't see anything then, right?" Sam stared as Danny remained silent. His face blushed red as he went back to eating whatever was on his tray.

That made Sam mad.

"Danny—" The bell rang as lunch was declared over, overpowering the goth's voice.

Danny and Tucker zoomed off the table as they entered the hallways. The girl groaned, slamming a fist against the table

The boys went their separate ways, journeying to their lockers. Danny did not need another detention slip from Lancer. It was one of the few things he could avoid as ghosts and homework seemed mandatory no matter what. He made it to gather his things, trying to get to class quickly. However, he slowed down seeing Amelie being hit on Dash again.

The jock cornered the French girl as he looked up at her. His face was attempting the definition of suave.

"Come on Amelia, I know that you're dying to look around town with a real king," Dash said as he flexed his muscles to the unimpressed girl.

"I'm starting to think you don't speak English. But let's see...it is still no," Amélie said, not so subtly rejecting him. Once again the girl scoffed with a turn of her head as the quarterback asked why she rejected him.

Everyone snickered with Danny hidden in the crowd. While he was happy to see dash being rejected, he knew any loud noises would have the jock chasing him down the halls in a heartbeat

Amélie tried to walk away, but this time Dash slammed a fist against the locker wall. He had been rejected so many times, it was going beyond aggravation and he wanted answers.

"Tell me why," Dash demanded.

The hallways was silent as the jock looked angry. While his attraction to the tall, very buxom, French girl was obvious from the start, non one thought he'd show angry towards Amélie.

Danny paused as he tried to find a way to go ghost, but stopped as the most unexpected help came along.

"Dash, just what the heck do you think you're doing?" Paulina tapped Dash's shoulder forcing him to turn around. She walked between him and Amélie as Star was by her side.

"I was—"

"Doing nothing. Now move! There's more important things than you being rejected," Paulina commanded, cutting off Dash as she put a hand to his face.

"Like yeah. We're going to be late to class," Star added.

"Who cares? We have a game tonight! And as long as I play, Lancer will give me a pass," Dash retorted with a swipe of his arm. School had never been a priority for him, and everyone had told him football was more important.

Amélie rolled her eyes as she walked away with Star. Paulina stayed behind to ensure the boy knew his place, and to keep attention off the French girl, if not to ensure everyone remembered who was the queen of Casper High.

"And yet, this is another reason I don't like you," Amélie commented. She looked around as boys in the hallway kept gawking and cat-calling her.

"Hey Amelia, A lot of the guys are wondering how to score a double-d in class. Mind giving me the answers?" One guy said while others wolf whistled at her.

Amelia was quiet as she kept waking, knowing from experience that any retort would add more fuel to the fire. And besides, to her, it didn't matter. None of these boys would have a chance with her, she always saw to that.

"You know what, they only see one thing," Star whispered as they walked to class. "And that shows they don't deserve you."

The French girl smiled as Paulina caught up. The Hispanic girl walked up front as the girls went to class.

Danny watched from afar, socially disappearing as Dash stormed away. That was unusual for the jock, but the ghost boy had his thoughts elsewhere, watching as Amélie's hips swayed with each step as she walked like a model. For a moment, he was lost in hormones before snapping himself awake, rushing to class.

This had been one of few moments as other temptations have occurred. Since the incident at the Bikini Republic, Danny had curious moments when he stared at the girl's locker room. He had used his powers to peek before, feeling the same urge on the rare occasion he glanced at the door. Most of the time he had ignored these thoughts because of the ghosts and the need to help others, but because his thoughts were increasingly venturing to Amélie, he felt more enticement.

"I'm supposed to be a superhero and now I'm thinking of the hot exchange student. Sometimes I hate hormones," He said to himself, reigning in his thoughts with a shake of his head.

However, the boredom of school had his mind traveling to the beautiful French girl, smiling at him. She was gorgeous, and it was hard for him to think otherwise at times.

He tried to control himself during class just to avoid failing and getting detention from Lancer...again. But his ghost sense went off, making him excuse himself for the restroom.

With a sigh from the teacher, who gave him a hall pass, the ghost boy walked out of the room. Going tot he bathroom, he made sure no one was around as he transformed into his alter ego, searching the campus with an invisible eye.

It wasn't an emergency, as it turned out to be the Box Ghost annoying the supply closet boxes. Danny often wondered why he took the time to talk to the cardboard containers like they alive, but never cared, calling the pesky ghost crazy. One minute of shoving him into the Fenton Thermos and the ghost boy went back to the stalls.

Changing back to human in the bathroom, Danny peeked around the corner seeing students mindlessly walking by as the bell rang. He would have to make his way back to find out about homework or face consequences, racing down the halls while making sure no teachers were around.

Without seeing where he was going, the ghost boy ran into Amélie, who held her ground as the boy fell on his. It was perplexing for a moment, but Danny didn't care and just apologized.

"Sorry," Danny said as the French girl stared at him.

"For bumping into me or for staring at me the whole day?" The french girl said, causing him to flinch. Even more as the girl sent him an accusing look.

"Oh...you noticed?" Danny mumbled but was heard.

"You have been stalking me was it my breasts?" Amélie's tone was blunt as she glared at the ghost boy.

Danny couldn't help breaking eye contact to avoid showing any guilt. But he made the wrong choice as he looked down, staring at the exposed cleavage of Amélie's chest, which seemed to bounce as he made eye contact. This was another detail he was starting to notice about Amelie, one that had instantly made her popular with the boys.

Her breasts seemed to have a bigger bounce than normal.

Part of the ghost boy felt embarrassed about how he missed such a detail. Then again, he always tried to avoid looking directly at them. But after seeing a drastic amount of cleavage at the Bikini Republic incident, his hormones sometimes got the better.

With his hormones starting to go wild, the ghost boy sighed, standing back up as he looked up at Amélie.

"Ok, you got me." Danny grabbed the hand to pull it away, but found the girl to be stronger than expected. He had to use two thanks and real effort to pry her hand only him, and even then, the girl kept glaring.

"So I take it you've been having...I believe as Jazz would put it, ulterior motives?" Amélie's state intensified.

"No!" Danny pushed back. Yet he did not move the towering girl. He looked up, taking in the full effect that the French girl was taller than him and looking imposing

"Look. I won't lie, you're pretty, but I'm not stalking you." The ghost boy stood up a bit. "I'm just worried alright. You were almost possessed by a ghost and I just wanted to make sure you're ok."

Amelie still glared at him as she looked him in the eye. Danny felt uncomfortable under her gaze, nervously keeping eye contact, but after a few moments, her expression soften as the girl stood up and released him.

"Very well. I shall give you, what the American says, the benefit of the doubt but that doesn't mean I won't keep an eye on you," Amelia said with a huff. Her expression tells the ghost boy she doesn't fully believe him, but it is sufficient for now.

The French beauty walked away, leaving the boy alone with his thoughts. While glad things are back to a sense of normal, part of the boy groans at the misinterpretation.

"Nice going, Fenton. The hottest girl in school is once again ignoring you." Danny shook his head, sighing in frustration. "Then again, what's new? Maybe Sam and Tucker are right. I should just leave Amélie alone. Only Spectra would go after her."

Danny turned away as the bell rang, signaling he was going to be late again. The boy ran, not wanting another detention slip, but seeing no choice in the matter as he raced through the halls.

For now, he was content with the safety of the French girl. Spectra knew not to mess with the ghost boy, after all. And there was no way another ghost would attack Amélie, right?

Within the Ghost Zone, Spectra flew through the forever shades of green as she seethed and cursed. Bertrand followed closely behind, angry at the events that have unfolded.

Whenever Spcetra was angry, he'd hear all of it. And that was only the beginning.

"That rotten little punk!" Spectra yelled, cracking her wispy tail like a whip, reaching out for the nearest ghost. But Bertrand always knew better than to stay close. Instead, the Box Ghost had the unfortunate timing to be her outlet, much to his loud annoyance.

While promptly ignored, the ghost would grumble as he rubbed his pain while floating away.

"We'll, it's not like we didn't expect this," Bertrand snarked. "I mean come on, it was obvious the ghost boy was going to save the girl. Who would resist rescuing the beautiful?"

Spectra stopped, snapping her fingers as a wicked grin appeared. She turned to her blobby assistant as the two shared a smile.

"You know what? I've got the perfect idea. I'll get the girl one day, just not today or tomorrow." Spectra sighed, flying back to her lair. "Besides, all we have to do is spread some good words around and all will be better."

Bertrand Oooh'd as he followed his wispy partner around the domains of the Ghost Zone One of at or another, Amélie was not going to have a break from ghosts as she thought.

A short midlogue as we now see things develop maliciously. Anyway, Amélie is not out of the woods yet and Danny gonna have to be careful in gaining her trust while his hormones work against him. Too bad life can to the same.

Special Thanks! to Flower Princess11 for all her help!

Reviews:

qazse: That's possible.

Jebest4781: Thanks!

Invader Johnny: That's Paulina's perspective, being on the top in high school with everyone adoring her. She puts too much into being popular, not much else.

IrishKatanna: This takes part in season three, after the pageant. Though it's possible to add another, given the story.

RonaldM40196867: Amélie can enjoy the attention, but being bombarded by drooling boys is just an annoying part. They have things to learn, mostly about one another. Amélie wouldn't believe Danny, if he warned her, mainly because she hasn't done anything to warrant suspicion yet. Star is underrated.

danifan3000: Paulina isn't, and while she may eventually plan more to humiliate Amelie, including expanding how, she isn't really aware of such horrific details. Her vision is narrow, focusing on popularity and what it takes to maintain being the queen of Casper High.

Luiz4200: That...will be discussed in later chapters.

KorevainsoLightshire: Spectra's style isn't repeated attempts at the forefront.

Guest: Thanks!
