Disclaimer: I don't own Danny Phantom or 6teen

Danny slouched as he got up for school. He had been out most of the day trying to find Youngblood. He even snuck out after curfew to venture into the Ghost Zone but stopped after realizing how he was just trying to find a needle in a haystack.

If anything, the ghost boy was lucky none of his foes tried anything while he was there. But he'd be grateful if nothing happened with today at school.

"I really hope Amélie isn't blaming me for Youngblood's prank," Danny groaned as he brushed his teeth. Dash made the day worse, stuffing him in the cafeteria trash. It was hard to tell if the jock did it out of revenge or anger, but these days, bullying just blurred together, no matter the motive.

The ghost boy made it on time with a quick flight to school. This was a rarity he could seldom enjoy without ghosts. So, he decided to somehow enjoy the moment.

"This is ironic. I'm actually want to enjoy school for a moment," Danny muttered to himself. He combed a hand through his hair, taking in the bittersweet moment.

However, the sight of Amélie at her locker stopped that. She was busy getting her books, the boy went unnoticed. Putting away her jacket, the girl prepared herself in the solitude of the school before many others appeared.

Despite the months of attending Casper High, not many knew how early she arrived.

The ghost boy was silent as he contemplated his next move. He could walk away and pretend nothing was there or confront the girl and settle matters. It was a tough decision he didn't want to think about, but life took over as the French girl waved at him.

"Bonjour, Danny." Amélie didn't seem mad but not happy to see the ghost boy. That always meant bad news for Fenton.

"H-hey...Amélie...how are you?" Danny replied, keeping a good distance in case someone tried to punish him for Amélie if anyone else was around.

"Bein," she said, combing a hand through her hair. It flowed like a river, unintentionally controlling the ghost boy's vision for a moment. "The goop was flushed from my hair, but I am starting to wonder about the culprit."

"It wasn't me!" Danny held his hands up.

"But of course it wasn't. I highly doubt you are the cause of such a devastating prank."

"I keep telling—wait, what!?" Danny paused, partially excited. "You believe me?"

"Oui. We may not be friends...peut être, but I do not see you as the type to do anything like yesterday."

Amélie smiled, showing how honestly she believed the ghost boy's innocence. Knowing that a popular student might have his back made his heart flutter.

"But still, I wonder why everyone kept blaming you." The French girl dropped her smile.

Danny frowned, knowing all too well the consequences of having the town's most eccentric parents. And he was putting that mildly. Since he was neither a straight-A honor student nor showed outstanding skill, he was a prime target for bullies or anyone who wanted to bulk their social standing at his expense.

But Danny didn't have the heart to explain how such things work in a small town. And considering Amélie is only an exchange student, it wouldn't matter. Course, that didn't mean he couldn't say something quell the situation.

"Amélie, I—"

The ghost boy gasped as a blue wisp left his mouth unnoticed. He looked around Amélie.

But the moment was ruined as Danny spotted the vultures behind the French girl. They said not a word but gestured for the ghost boy to follow.

Amélie stared at Danny, their eyes met for a moment. The dark blue of innocent mirth interacted with the clouded icy blue as the former tried to read the latter. The ghost boy felt his heart beat faster but ignored it as he ran around the girl.

"I-I gotta go," Danny said. "We can talk later."

While most girls would be put off or angered by the sudden departure, Amélie was more intrigued. She had noticed the boy make such excuses in the study group, wondering where he always went. She chased after him, but she heard something drop in her locker,

Turning around, the girl noticed a box on the ground. It looked like a simple jewelry box, nothing like any she had at home. While accessories were limited at school, there was no harm in taking a peek.

And what a surprise was awaiting her as the girl saw a beautiful gold necklace with an emerald Cowan amulet in the middle. It was flawless, shining in the hallway.

"This is so BCBG! It is manefique!" Amélie cried out. She grabbed the collar, examining its design.

Without a second thought, she put it on, feeling a strange energy flow through her. For a moment, the French girl would have sworn she was glowing, but the bell for class interrupted her thoughts.

Walking into English, the girl noted how Danny was missing, late again. It was weird, given how serious he seemed at the end. Almost like he was living more than as an average school boy.

Amélie giggled silently at the thought. Such fantasies only existed in certain romance books. Many were trashy, but the girl blushed a bit, wondering about such thoughts happening to her. But she decided to focus on class as Mr. Lancer took attendance.

"Alright, what do ya want?" Danny Phantom asked. He floated along the school roof with three vultures.

The three ghostly green birds perched themselves on the border, each wearing a fez. Their leader flew up to the ghost boy, seemingly bearing no ill will. At least for now.

"Vlad, sent us, asking about Amélie," the bird said in a thick Russian accent.

"Uh-huh. And you're asking directly because..." Danny dragged out the last word, gesturing for the birds to finish.

"Because we just want to get this over with and get some lunch," one of the other vultures said.

The last one nodded in agreement, rubbing his stomach with one wing. Danny blinked at that but went back to his stern glowing glare. Cracking his knuckles, the committee held their wings up in surrender.

"Hey, we didn't come for a fight. We just want answers," the leader said.

"And why should I tell you?" Danny asked.

"Because we know the ghosts are coming after her, and Vlad doesn't like that." The leader flew up to the ghost boy. "And we know since you know, that all we have to do is check in with you. There's no way you would ignore a girl targeted by ghosts."

"Especially with such huge bullseyes," one of the vultures added. He gave a small laugh but was silenced by the glares of the ghost boy and the other birds.

"We're being serious here! Show some decorum!" The lead culture quipped.

Danny narrowed his eyes, clenching his fists. He had barely made any progress finding out what Vlad wanted with Amélie. He knew the girl was an innocent pawn, which made things worse.

Vlad had been known as a millionaire in their initial encounter, but after a small prank war, the older halfa decided to move here as mayor, a cliché and annoying move that offered nothing good. But no matter the encounters had, the newly made politician never acted like his cunning self, almost like this entire act was just a game to him.

The ghost boy crossed his arms, glowing his eyes as he fired a warning shot. It spooked the vultures, regaining their attention.

"Tell Vlad he can get his progress report from one of his lackeys, next time. Amélie's fine, and I'm making it that way," Danny said. He raised a glowing fist, turning it ice cold with an even colder glare.

The committee glanced at each, giving the ghost boy sly grins before leaving. They spoke of another meeting before disappearing, the obvious outcome as the rooftop was silent with the wind. Danny would have to prepare; Vlad never left things alone.

The bell rang, breaking his thoughts as he rushed to class. For all his troubles, he was late again, even though he came in early. Such was the life of Danny Fenton.

Amélie loved the necklace, adjusting it from time to time as she went through the school day. The teachers did not mind it as well, letting her wear it. The girl was shining with the necklace, earning extra attention, but that could also be an excuse to keep staring. Nobody stopped before, even as she put on her winter jacket to leave school, not that she either buttoned it up or could.

From afar, Paulina scowled from her locker, unable to keep her attention on anything else. Not even the Danny Phantom shrine in her locker could calm her down. The popular girl was barely in the spotlight, even when she walked with the French girl. Slamming her locker door in repetition, all she could do was sulk.

Sam watched with glee as Tucker kept staring at Amélie.

Danny joined in, having run away from Dash and another failed spelling test. It was utterly amazing how much the school gave to ensure the jock kept up a grade point average, only to fail at most turns. The ghost boy wished he was distracted by being turned down by the French girl again. However, that did not mean he liked putting his problems onto others.

"Did I miss anything?" Danny asked.

"Only the usual," Tucker commented, reaching around in his beret. The boy pulled a pair of binoculars glasses over his prescription pair, returning to viewing Amélie from afar. But even the far sight of the extra lenses could not see through the walls of boys flooding the hall.

"Tucker, cut it out. There's nothing to gain from staring at a girl's chest," Sam snapped, pulling the binocular glasses off.

"Last I checked, that's why we have the internet," Danny snarked. He chuckled at his dry joke, earning a glare from his gothic friend.

"Very funny, but let me ask you this, when's the next time you'll actually see a girl like Amélie?" Tucker asked. "I mean, she's like something out of an old cartoon."

"You mean she's not bad, she's just drawn that?" Sam leaned against the lockers. Her dry tone made her sport a wicked smile as her tech-loving friend ignored her.

"Look, she's a hot French girl with an awesome body who's only gonna be here for..." Tucker counted on his fingers as he calculated the remaining months. "Probably for the next few months...maybe the remaining year. After that, we're gonna have to settle for Paulina—"

The boy didn't get another word in as a pink pen hit his head. He turned to see Paulina dragging one of her perfectly manicured nails across her throat before storming away.

Danny and Sam shared a laugh, the latter now wearing a genuine smile.

"I guess todays gonna be a great day," Sam said with a sigh.

The moment was ruined as Danny gasped, releasing a blue wisp from his mouth. He glared at his friend for jinxing the moment, something he'd normally do. At that moment, a double-headed axe flew through the hallway as a medieval executioner ghost appeared. His gruesome face, covered by a mask with a skull, frightened the student body as they ran.

"You were saying?" Tucker glared. That earned him the same gaze from Sam.

As the two argued optically, Danny ran to transform. Phasing through the locker wall, he introduced himself, conjuring an icicle shaped more like a blade than a spear. He swung the weapon at the executioner, who brought back his axe to block.

"Jeez, there's never a dull moment with you around, huh?" Danny quipped.

The ghost was silent as he tossed the ghost boy to the side, taking the fight outside. His deathly gaze only spoke of violently assaulting the ghost boy.

"I know you like an audience, but I don't think you're cut out for the spotlight."

That had the ghost roll his eyes, much to Danny's annoyance. The ghostly hero phased through the ghost and turned to throw the icicle sword, smashing it against the axe's handle.

"I think you need a time out," Danny said as he blasted the ghost with an icy blast, freezing him solid. "And what better time than the ice age?"

But while Danny gloated at his victory, he didn't notice the ghost's gaze. His eyes were brimming with confidence. And that's when the ghost boy heard a scream.

Phasing through the walls, Danny returned to the hallways, where he saw Star kneeling by a spot.

"What happened?" Danny asked, flying over.

"It was Amélie! She was like glowing and stuff before vanishing!" Star yelled.

With narrow eyes, the ghost boy looked around for clues. He had a hunch his stone-cold ghost could shed some light on the situation. But returning to the ice, he saw the block was empty, save for a mold in the shape of the executioner.

"You know, normally, this would be the case where I'd had to think about what's happening, but something tells me I know exactly who this is," Danny remarked as he flew straight up, turning invisible.

At the renovation construction site of the Round the World Miniature Golf Course, Prince Aragon had made himself a throne on the third hole course's design of a castle. He had carved the decoration out of the ground and into a chair, placing it in the main building as his men turned the place into a makeshift castle. But the design was flawed, poking him in the back every few seconds if he relaxed.

Such as right now.

"Aaaah!" As soon as I deal with the ghost brat, I'll be taking back my throne from my treacherous sister!" the prince yelled, rubbing his back. "This is no place for royalty to stay!" He swung his fist to the side, regretting his rushed aesthetic decision, smashing the miniature castle's side into rubble.

Across from him, Amélie was suspended in the air from him with her arms and legs like an X. Her amulet glowed, enveloping her in ghostly energy that had prevented her from moving. A red-hooded archer had his bow ready by the window at her side. He was silent as the executioner came through the roof and knelt before Aragon.

"I take it the ghost boy didn't see the girl disappear?" Aragon asked. The ghost nodded, still kneeling as the ex-prince got up. "Perfect. As soon as I am finished, we make course for Castle Aragon!"

The five ghosts surrounding Aragon, including the archer and executioner, roared triumphantly as he made his way to Amélie. The French girl did not struggle as she glared at the ghost.

Aragon looked inquisitive as he studied the French girl's figure, particularly her large bosom. With a swift motion of his hand, the ghost removed her jacket, now seeing her partially opened blouse and skirt.

Most boys would have made a drooling face, but the ghostly prince kept a stern face, throwing the jacket to the ground. With a shrug, he returned to his makeshift throne, ordering the archer to find food.

The room was silent, save for Amélie struggling to move. But the enchantment on the amulet was strong, keeping her in place like a trophy. While she could handle the boys dogging her and her body, this felt wrong as now all of her was being treated like a collector's item.

"So, you are Phantom's bride," Aragon said, breaking the silence as he got up impatiently. He circled the girl, studying her body, posture, facial details, and anything else he deemed important.

Amélie was shocked, staring with blinking eyes as she heard the word bride. She had not even had a steady relationship yet.

"Pardon, but what do you mean by bride? And this Fantomé? Surely this means Danny Fantomé, oui?" Amélie stared at the ghost prince, feeling a small pit in her stomach as an obvious answer formed in her mind.

"Don't play dumb with me! I've heard throughout the Ghost Zone about the human bride of Danny Phantom! A woman of amazing beauty sporting a bountiful bosom with a tall and graceful figure," Aragon explained, gesturing to the French girl.

Amélie sighed, not bothered by the fact that everyone knew her by her chest but that the ghostly prince was listening to gossip. While somewhat frightened, the man's words were more bothersome than wary.

She wanted nothing more than to correct him. But the prince went on.

"So, I have ventured here to claim you for myself as I reclaim my kingdom. I will have my revenge on my sister and the half-ghost for bringing that girl into my realm!" Aragon clutched his amulet, feeling his ectoplasmic blood boil at the memory of his defeat.

His sister, Princess Dora, had changed much of his kingdom. With time going forward, the medieval realm now allowed visitors from the public space of the Ghost Zone. Many had come to enjoy the festivity while the man rotted more in the dungeon. He'd still be there if not for the scant loyal followers wallowing in his punishment.

"And with you as my bride, my lineage will be betrothed back as I become king." Aragon studied Amélie with a mischievous grin, giving off an evil aura. "Leg took a hand to her face, leaning towards her. "And I must say, out of everything I've ever owned, you're quite the prize."

The amulet's energy began to fluctuate as the French girl felt her posture relax. Her arms were held up in the air by a ghostly cuff as the energy still surrounded her. Amélie stared blankly as her skin crawled as Aragon brought his hand to her face.

"Monsieur...Aragon, may I correct you on somethings?" Amélie asked.

"What is it?" the ghost smiled wickedly.

Aragon's question was answered with a swift kick between his legs. While normally, a human could never harm a ghost without equipment, the same amulet used to teleport and trap the French girl allowed her to touch the spirits as much as she needed.

One thing boys barely noticed due to staring at Amélie's chest was that the girl was very athletic. She had an exercise routine she kept to, which meant that a kick in the groin was thrice as powerful as you'd normally expect, and that could mean it felt a hundred times worse.

Aragon held himself, falling swiftly as his voice went up a few pitches. Curling into a fetal position, the run-down prince growled, eyeing the girl from below. His pupils contracted into slits as he saw the confident smirk on Amélie's face. He rose with a draconian roar as part of his body partially transformed into a dragon-like body.

"Seems like someone is, I believe the proper term is, compensating for something. I guess your ego is as fragile as your sceptre," Amélie quipped, still smiling.

The archer and executioner helped their prince up. The royal outcast seethed with glowing eyes as his pupils became slits. He began towering over the girl, making her gulp audibly as she felt fear beckoning her regret. Her smile dropped, but she did not regret the action.

"I think it's time you learned your place!" Aragon yelled.

"And it's time you learned to respect others!" Danny yelled.

As Danny stormed in, Aragon and his men gasped, sending a barrage of snowballs at the five ghosts. Without hesitation, he brought out the Fenton Thermos and vacuumed the entire militia, leaving only him, Amélie, and Aragon.

"You! How did you find us!?" Aragon demanded.

"Easy. Once I remembered your axe guy, I flew up, turned invisible, and followed him. I guess he didn't think I'd had enough brains or something to do that," Danny said. His face was full of confidence as he twirled the thermos like a basketball on one finger. "Though I got gotta say, you really bring a whole new meaning to the words from rags to riches."

The ghost boy glanced at Amélie, still held up in the air. Aragon, still in mid-transformation, stood in his way, but the ghost met his gaze with his icy blue eyes as he froze the ex-prince. Phasing through the ghost, he flew towards the French girl.

Amélie stared as she saw the hero blast the restraints to no avail, but she saw his gaze go to her chest. Or, more specifically, the amulet and necklace. But she didn't care about that. Right now, Danny Phantom was sporting icy blue eyes like she had been staring into this morning.

"Huh, a magic necklace...you'd think he'd go with a new plan instead of the old," Danny quipped. He would have gotten to work freeing her but got lost in the French girl's eyes. Though his icy blue eyes returned to a ghostly, glowing green, they still had a sense of familiarity for the girl. She wanted to ask, but the sound of shattering ice ruined the almost tender moment as Aragon broke free, assuming full dragon form.

Aragon flew into the sky as his black scales lit up with shades of green. He bellowed waves of green flames in the clouds, almost announcing his intentions to set the town aflame. People panicked and ran as they called for help.

Danny flew into the air as Amélie watched. The ghost boy met with the dragon, eye to eye, and didn't let him have a chance to attack. He froze the dragon's mouth shut with ice. While it only bought him a few seconds as the ice began to melt, the boy thought fast, using his powers on the wings and back. This had more impact as Aragon lost altitude, falling to the ground as Danny aimed his thermos.

But the ex-prince blew out flames, blocking his aim as he landed gracefully on the ground. He brought the heat as more fireballs were spewed at the ghost boy.

Danny held up as best he could. He had one last trick up his sleeve: the ghostly wail. But the attack would do more than damage Aragon. And Amélie was still down there and who knows who else. So the hero dodged and fired back as best he could, bringing things to a standstill.

While this would be where things got tricky in the past, a bit of luck happened when a stray shot from Danny hit Aragon's amulet. Dislodging the magical item from the user, the ghost began returning to human form, stopping the flames.

Knowing he had one shot, the ghost boy flew down as Aragon searched for his amulet. Aiming the thermos again, he caught the ghost into the beam as he was slowly captured.

"This isn't over! I will have my bride and my revenge! Mark my word, Phantom! It is law!"

Danny closed the cap on the thermos as Aragon was sucked in. With every ghost captured, the ordeal was over, or so he thought.

Amélie landed on the ground with a thud. Wiping herself off, the girl threw the amulet, attempting to shatter it against a nearby wall. A stomp of her foot showed how angry she was, almost captured and forced to marry a despicable man. And that's when Aragon's amulet shined in her eyes.

Full of anger, she stormed over and grabbed Aragon's amulet, wanting nothing more than to smash it.

"You...alright?" Danny asked, landing near her.

Amélie gave a harsh look, gripping the trinket in her hand. Normally, this would be where the hero would soothe the hostage down, but the ghost boy wasn't that intelligent in his wording.

"Look, I'm sorry I got you into this, but—"

"Then this is your fault!?" Amélie screeched. Her voice boomed, sending a shockwave towards the ghost boy.

The amulet glowed as rage took over the girl. Amélie's eyes turned reptilian as her skin turned to scales. Her clothes began to tear as they fused into her skin, as her body grew gruesome, forming into the dragon form Danny knew.

The French girl was a light purple, showings horns on her head with wings larger than her body. She stood on her hind legs as her front claws extended.

Danny gulped as now he knew this wasn't over. Thinking fast, he flew to the side as blue flames spewed. It was official, this was the complicated part of today's ghost fight.

"Please tell me you're willing to listen!" Danny pleaded, not wanting to fight the girl.

"Your fault!" the French dragon cried out. She bent her tail before bringing it to the side, chasing the ghost boy. She was furious.

"You don't want to do this!" Danny cried out, flying around the tail swipe with a loop de loop. "Think about what you're doing!"

That got the desired reaction as the French dragon held her breath. Puffing out smoke into rings, she leaned into the ghost boy, standing on all fours. A snort from her, the dragon girl seemed ready to finish the ghost boy off if he didn't watch his words.

"That worked?" Danny whispered to himself. He blinked, noting the girl's patience was thin. He cleared his throat and spoke.

"Listen, I know this seems like my fault, but I had heard a ghost almost took over you. I wasn't trying to put a target on your back, but I couldn't ignore it. So I stayed by your side the next day to catch her in the act, and I did. I didn't think others would try to kidnap you, I'm sorry."

The ghost boy's words touched the dragon girl, her eyes watering with remorse. With anger now reeling back, the transformation was reversing changing Amélie back to human form, clothes and all.

"I am deeply sorry." Amélie didn't make eye contact with Danny Phantom. "I had thought wrong of you and then I could see anything but red."

The French girl looked around at the wrecked mini golf course. Though closed for renovations, she felt terrible at the damage she did.

"C'est le bordel," she said.

"Huh?" Danny said with a perked-up eyebrow.

"Nothing. I will go now before I cause anymore trouble."

Amélie turned and strutted away, walking carefully among the rubble and ruin. The ghost boy watched her leave, feeling bad for her. He wished there was something he could do.

And to his unused intellect, he had thought of a way.

Amélie stepped out of the mini-golf course through a hole she had smashed with her dragon tail earlier. She walked away as the proper authorities arrived to assess the damage.

She felt awful, even if under a cursed amulet's spell. The girl realized she still had it clutched in her hands, throwing it away as hard as she could. Wherever it landed, she didn't care.

All the girl wanted to do was go home and soak in the bathtub, hoping the warm waters would wash her guilt away. The idea of a bubble bath was soothing.

However, the sound of a familiar voice caught her attention.

"Amélie?"

The French girl turned to see Danny Fenton waving awkwardly at her. While she questioned how he got here, unaware of the truth, she didn't seem to care at the moment.

"Danny? What are you doing here?" Amélie asked.

"I...saw the ghost and figured something was up...and came to see if my parents were around," Danny lied. It was not a strong stretch, but he could have made better ones. Still, the French girl bought it as she stared at him. "Is something wrong?" he asked.

"Ghosts are now interested in me because of Danny Fantome. I don't want to cause any trouble, but I'm wondering where my life is going now," Amélie admitted.

"I know what you mean," Danny chuckled with a dry, sour note at the end. "But sometimes, the things we don't expect in life, can give a greater purpose."

That got Amélie to smile a bit. Even if small, the girl appreciated the small gesture, feeling better for the moment.

"Merci," she said.

"No problem, but mind if I ask you something?"

Amélie raised an eyebrow at the ghost boy. She crossed her arms with a tapping foot, pondering what would be asked of her. Most guys wanted one thing, especially in France, partially due to different cultural values and traditions.

She kept silent, staring at the boy.

"It's not that." Danny held his arms up. "I just wanted to ask if I could learn some French."

Amélie pondered the thought. It would be nice to have someone to talk to in her native tongue, not to mention with a person she could call a friend. There did not seem to be any harm in it. But before she could answer, Star yelled, alerting her position.

"Amélie! There you are!" Satr yelled as she ran over. The blonde girl seemed out of breath as she stopped at the French girl. "I've been looking everywhere for you! And when I saw the ghost, I thought that's where you were!"

Amélie smiled, hugging her friend. The two were happy to see each other, but the same could not be said for Star and Danny.

"Fenton, what are you doing near Amélie?" Star tried to pull her friend away but found she didn't have the strength, struggling to move the taller, heavier friend. Saving her dignity, she walked in between the two, getting into Danny's face. "If you think you can just talk to a popular girl, or even have a shot—"

"Danny was just asking me to teach him some French," Amélie said.

"You mean French kissing!" Star accused, still leading the girl on. "You don't need boys asking you that anymore."

"Actually, I think he really did want to learn French. The school doesn't have a French course, quoi."

Star paused, blinking her eyes before glancing over at Danny. She never knew anything about the boy except his freaky parents, not that she ever cared about what he thought. While unpopular, a sliver of respect grew in her heart for the ghost boy. Not many in Casper High would ask for such a favor from Amélie.

Star nodded, but she had one last bone to pick.

"Well, why didn't you ask me if I wanted to learn French!?" Star asked.

Not much to say besides plot thickening, and Amélie will get more action scenes as the fic continues. It's far from over. Anyway, enjoy, and if you like, there's a tv trope page of this that needs love. Other than that, leave a comment, review, or idea of your choice.

Have a good day.

Thank you for the Reviews:

Luiz4200: Amélie clearly said Ladybug's and Chat Noir's names. They exist.

pokemon fan 1991: Thanks!

Invader Johnny: Sam is becoming more understanding, even though she still has some flaws. As for Lancer, Amity Park is still a football town, so jocks get a free pass because of it. More on that later, though.

RonaldM40196867: Just how I write. Not a problem but suspicion, and I don't want to make Danny's life easy in this story, it seems out of place. Not really. Figured it could add some flavor down the line and help with a story element for down the road. Not really, but Dash's annoyances will be brought up later. Yeah, they know but don't care as it seemed to be a one-time thing. Not really. No.

Jebest4781: Thanks!

IrishKatana: She's getting an idea, but I have the reveal all planned out.

ZoomedIn: Glad you are enjoying!
