Good evening,
I hope you guys enjoy.
Oxford Not Brogues
Chapter Twelve
A moan broke free from Seras' lips as she lightly writhed on top of Alucard's lap. The feel of their fangs in her throat, the way their lips suckled her sensitive flesh, it was purely euphoric. She couldn't help all the sounds she made; moaning and whining. The Draculina was mindlessly biting deep into her bottom lip, but this didn't keep the moans from coming.
"Sebastian," Seras softly cried out as her stomach tightened with pleasure. She was on the brink of coming; she could feel it in the pit of her stomach. "Alucard," However, before she could achieve orgasm, the males withdrew their fangs from her tender throat. Seras groaned in agony when she was robbed of an orgasm. "Don't stop." She begged them in a whine. "Don't, please." Her fingers massaged the demon's scalp before she gently fisted the dark strands. She tried pulling his head forward, hoping to tempt him to bite her again. But Sebastian refrained from following her lead. Instead he stayed locked in place and frowned at her in shame.
"Seras," Sebastian whispered her name.
"Don't talk. Just drink more. See our children enter this world." Seras interrupted him softly.
"Seras," Alucard spoke this time before he gently stroked over the bleeding bite marks on her throat with a single finger.
"You both already explained yourselves." Seras interrupted once more. "That woman…wasn't your mate and…she was never pregnant. Rather she knew it or not, what Alana told me was a lie; an old story that doesn't even matter. And…I know that you both love our sons. I was wrong." The girl continued to play with Sebastian's hair as she talked. "I can't really explain to you guys why I ran, but I can show you. So please, drink more. Learn more, know that I tried to right my wrongs, and see our children grow. Please." Seras begged them. It was silent for a moment or two while the males stared at their mate in consideration. She tried to right her wrongs? What did she mean by that? When? What exactly did she try to do? Desperate for those answers, Alucard brushed his lips over the torn flesh that made up her throat.
"Seras," He breathed as he wrapped his arms tighter around her stomach. The elder vampire then parted his lips around the curve of her throat and plunged his fangs back in those gaping holes. Seras fisted Sebastian's hair tightly as she hissed in pleasure. Alucard purred in contentment as he devoured his bride's hot, delicious blood.
"Seras," Sebastian whispered as he cupped his mate's cheek. "We've taken so much of your blood already, and we'll take more, but you need to feed and replenish yourself. Here," Slipping his hand away from her cheek, the demon offered the younger vampire his wrist. "Drink, darling. Drink deeply." Looking away from his wrist to meet his gaze, Seras smiled.
"No," She defied him while shoving his wrist away from her face. Before he could argue with her, the No Life Queen was fisting his shirt and was pulling him forward. Before he even knew it, Seras has pulled open his shirt and had her fangs buried in his shoulder. Hearing her purr and the sound of her sucking up his blood sent pleasant shivers all up and down Sebastian's body.
"Seras," The demon gave a breathy moan. "Seras," Peeking down at her, he watched the hungry little beauty devour his blood. The feel of her fangs felt utterly remarkable. God, did he miss the feel of her fangs tearing through his skin. It made his cock throb for her. "Never leave me again." Sebastian breathed to his beloved mate. Refusing to waste a second more away from her hot, penetrable veins, the demon buried his fangs back in her supple throat.

"There he is!" the mid-wife announced as she wrapped the newborn baby in a clean blanket. "There's the little one." She cooed. Carefully, she carried the tiny, wiggling baby to his crib while he softly whined.
"Let…let me see him." Seras whispered. Her forehead was practically dripping with sweat and hair was hazardous from having pulling it while pushing. The Draculina had thought that with all the pain she had endured as a vampire that giving birth would be a piece of cake. But she was wrong. It was one of the worst pains imaginable. And why shouldn't it be? Why did she think otherwise? Her lady parts were being stretched as she pushed a being out of her body. She was a fool for thinking it would be easy.
"Soon, dear." The midwife promised as she rushed back to Seras' side, leaving the newborn in his crib. "Let's deliver the other child first." Seras dropped her head and groaned at the thought of having to push again. "You're doing great!" The midwife assured her before dabbing the young girl's head with a cloth. "Just another couple of pushes and then your other child will be here."
"I've already been pushing for half an hour." Seras grumbled, purely exhausted.
"Hopefully you won't have to push for that long with the next one." The midwife responded.
"Hopefully," The Draculina whispered while she stared up at the ceiling.
"Why isn't the father here?" The midwife asked then. "Where is he?" Seras instantly lifted her head to flash the midwife a dark, warning look.
"No questions asked, remember?" The No Life Queen hissed at her while her hellish red eyes burned with fury. "Help me deliver my kids and you get your money. Just no questions." The midwife frowned at the girl's hostility.
"Very well," The woman muttered with a nod of her head. "I just…pity you."
"Don't!" Seras quickly interrupted.
"You're so…young." The midwife noted out loud as her eyes took in Seras' youth.
"I'm older than you think. Now stop asking questions!" The Draculina demanded.
"You must be terrified." The midwife proceeded. "I know I would be if I were you."
"Stop!" Seras shouted before she got a familiar sharp pain. The girl dropped her head back on the pillow before she groaned through gritted teeth.
"Oh!" The midwife exclaimed softly. "It looks like the other little one is coming."
"God," The Draculina grumbled before her hands flung up to cover her face.
"What kind of man leaves his girl alone, especially while she's pregnant with his children?" The midwife clicked her tongue while she watched for the baby's head to appear. The girl's hands slipped from her face to pierce the woman with a dark look.
"Fuck! Stop!" Seras screamed and bared her fangs. "I'm in enough pain, emotionally and physically as it is! You don't know what the fuck you're talking about, so just fucking stop!" But the midwife was too busy gaping at something to pay attention to what she was saying. Recognizing that look in the human's eyes as fear, Seras grew concerned. "What? What's wrong?" The midwife merely shook her head while the fear intensified in her eyes. "What?!" Seras yelled with tears in her eyes. "What?!" Seras yelled with tears in her eyes. "Is it my baby?!" She sniffed. "What's wrong with him?! What's wrong with my son?! Please! Answer me!"
"Oh, God!" The midwife gasped before she stumbled back away from Seras and the thing that was being birthed. "Dear God! What is that?!" And then Seras heard it, the first cry from her recently born son. Ever so carefully, the Draculina sat up. She could feel the small creature squirming between her legs as he softly cried. Hot tears were streaming down the midwife's pale white face as she mumbled incoherently under her breath. She even started crossing herself, much to Seras' displeasure. Please let her baby be okay. Wincing in pain, the new mother carefully shifted on the bed to peek at the creature that was birthed from her. Between her legs, softly wailing and squirming on top of bloody sheets was a small baby with leathery skin as black as ink. The little bit of hair on the top of his head was fuzzy and black. There were strange lines on his cheeks that extended from the corner of his lips all the way up towards his ears. Where horns should be were flat little nubs. And, to her surprise, he had a mouth full of sharp, perfectly white teeth. Immediately upon seeing her child, Seras smiled, relieved to find that her son was perfectly healthy.
"Oh my god," The Draculina whispered as tears of happiness trailed down her cheeks. "My little baby," As gently as she could, the mother scooped her fragile baby up into her arms. She held him close and admired him as he settled from his small fit. "I'm so glad you're alright. She scared me terribly." The mother then placed a kiss on the top of her son's head. "I love you. I love you so much."
"What have you done?" The midwife asked in horror. Seras lifted her gaze to pierce her with a look. "That…that thing just came out of you. What did you do? What devil had you sold your soul to?! That thing is an abomination! An act against God! And you're holding it and loving it like it's not a monster!"
"My baby is not an abomination nor is he a monster." The Draculina corrected her as the red in her irises consumed every bit of white in her eyes. "You best leave now before I kill you for insulting my son."
"You're insane." The midwife whispered, completely repulsed by the love the mother had for that vile creature in her arms.
"No, unlike my children, I'm the real monster that you should be afraid of. I'm giving you a chance to leave with your head still intact to your body. I suggest you take advantage of my generosity." Seras told her carefully before she looked back down at her cooing child. The mother smiled in endearment and giggled. "You're perfect," She whispered while she stroked over her baby's warm, chubby cheek. "Absolutely perfect, just like your father." Quickly, Seras wiped away the tears that had started to form in her eyes. Climbing out of bed, Seras carried her child over to the crib to finally meet her other son. The mother's smile widened at the small, energetic bundle. "You're both so beautiful." Gingerly, the mother reached into the crib to stroke her son's fuzzy black hair. "I think I owe it to your fathers to at least pass down their names to their only sons."
"I don't care if you are it's mother. Loving an unholy creature such as that is just wrong." The midwife raised her voice. Suddenly the woman was running right towards them. Looking up in time, Seras witnessed the pair of scissors the human was holding up, daring to come right at her baby with them. Acting fast, Seras lifted her arm to shield her baby as the midwife was bringing the scissors down to stab her newborn. Instead, the human ended up stabbing the pissed off mother's arm. Seras gritted her teeth and gave a beastly snarl towards the human. The midwife, however, was determined to end her child's life. Grabbing her fragile baby by his arm, the midwife tried yanking him out of Seras' arms as she once more tried stabbing him with the pair of scissors. Her baby wailed from being grabbed and tugged ever so roughly. Seras didn't hesitate acting before further harm could come to her child. Successfully dodging the pair of scissors that nearly came down on her son's stomach. Seras leapt forward and went for the human's jugular. She buried her strong, sharp teeth in the woman's throat and then pulled her head back, tearing out the humans's jugular. Blood was smeared all over Seras' mouth as the fresh, hot blood dripped off her chin. The midwife barely made a sound as she fell to her knees with her hands clamped around what was left of her throat. There was such a faraway look in the woman's eyes as blood poured from between her fingers. And then she fell over dead.
"Are you okay?" Seras whispered as she rubbed over her baby's arm, checking to see if his bones were broken. Both of her babies were crying hard. The little baby in her arms squirmed, unable to be comforted this time by his mother's warm embrace. "It's alright," Seras softly hushed her sons before she carefully scooped her other child up out of his crib. Both her boys wiggled and cried as she gently rocked them. "It's alright. I won't let anything happen to you ever. I promise. I may not be as strong or as smart as your fathers, but I'll always do more than my best to protect you both always." Using a soft voice to shush her little babies, the mother proceeded. "Little Malphy and Vlad, you'll both be alright. I promise. I love you more than anything in this world. I would do absolutely anything for you both. You have no idea the lengths I would go."
Six Months Later
Seras sat on the floor of her living room. She was leaning back against the sofa with Vlad sitting in her lap facing her. The giggling baby smiled up at his mother while his fangs glinted in the bit of sunlight that was pouring in from the window. Her other son, Malphas, was sitting on the floor, not too far from her, playing with some blocks and watching some cartoon kiddie show. Within the few months since he was born, Malphas has taken on a form as a human. It truly was remarkable how much her son looked just like his father. His skin was as a white as snow, his hair as dark as the night, black fingernails, and with a familiar dark symbol imprinted on the skin of his left hand. The small demon was completely engrossed in his show as he stared up at the TV with large garnet colored eyes.
"Look at that smile!" Seras laughed. "And that laugh! It's so adorable! Yes, you are super-duper adorable!" The mother cooed. To get her son to laugh more, the No Life Queen tickled the young prince's stomach. "Who's a ticklish little vampire prince? You are! Yes, you are! So very ticklish! I'm going to get your little tummy!" That sweet laughter reached her ears, warming her heart in an instant. "Oh, darling." She laughed. "I hope you'll forever laugh and smile like this." She ran her fingers through Vlad's short black hair. The mother then leaned in to place a kiss on her son's forehead. This gave Vlad the opportunity to grab a fistful of her hair. "Gentle, Vlad." She whispered as she carefully took his small hand into hers. "Gentle. Let go," The boy did let go but just so he could cup her face in hsi small, chubby hands. "I love you, darling." Seras smiled warmly at her son. Instinctively, the mother glanced up to see how her other child was doing. She was instantly bewildered. Seras' eyes widened and her mouth fell open when she found Malphas standing so casually in the center of the living room while watching his TV show. The young infant didn't even struggle staying standing.
"Malphas!" The mother exclaimed before a proud smile took place on her lips. Upon hearing his name, the young demon turned to flash his mum a big smile. Malphy giggled at her, even though he was unsure of why his mum was giving him that funny, positive look. "You're standing all on your own, Malphy!" When his mum said his name once more, the young demon laughed some more and took his first ever step towards her. Seras' eyes practically bulged right out of her head. "Malphy, you're walking! When did you start walking?! You're so good at it!" The mother praised her son as he walked a couple of more steps closer to her. Giving her son a safe place to land, the mother held out her arms to him. "Come on! You can do it! Just one more step!" With no problem at all, Malphas took the last step before he was scooped up into his mother's arms.. "Good job!" Seras praised him some more and placed kisses on his cheek. "Such a brilliant little boy you are!" The Draculina then jumped when there was an unexpected knock on her front door.
"What?" Seras murmured as she glanced over at the door. She lived miles from the nearest town; she was basically in the middle of nowhere with her two sons. Who would be knocking on her front door? Cautiously, the mother set her children on the ground before getting up. Malphas stood right up with her while babbling, but didn't move from his spot. Another knock came, sounding ever so polite and patient, but still brought her such worry. "Mummy will be right back." Seras promised her children. Leaving the living room, the mother headed for the door. Her heart was racing and her stomach was in knots but she refused to show fear in her eyes. Reaching the door, she opened it to be greeted by three smirking faces. Two males and a woman stood on her stoop, and though Seras had never met them, she knew perfectly well what they were. The No Life Queen gritted her teeth as the looked darkened in her eyes. "What are werewolves doing on my doorstep?" The small blonde hissed.
"We just want to talk." One man, a tall, dark haired fellow assured her while flashing a charming smile. Playfully, he held his arms up to show that he was surrendering. "We mean you no harm." He added while laughing at her clear display of aggression and hostility.
"Then why do you have my house surrounded?" Seras questioned as she narrowed her eyes dangerously on them. She could sense it. There were at least ten other werewolves standing somewhere on her property, acting as backup, though they stayed out of her sight. The male snickered when realizing just how powerful she truly was.
"For assurance, in case you won't hear us out." The male responded.
"What do you want?" Seras asked outright. She was greatly outnumbered. One werewolf was bad enough, but a whole pack of them? There was no way in hell she would be able to kill them all. If they simply wanted to, and truly meant no harm, then she would hear them out.
"I'm Carlos," The werewolf introduced himself before he gestured at the two people with him. "This is Gabriella and Markus."
"Hello," Gabriella greeted her with a friendly smile. Seras' red eyes flickered down to see the woman holding her slightly swollen stomach. Instantly, the little vampire gestured her head at Gab.
"If you were afraid I would act hostile and attack, why would you bring a pregnant woman? Were you hoping for sympathy from me?" Seras asked.
"Maybe," Carlos chuckled while giving a shrug of his shoulders. "But also because she's our best fighter, and she was persistent in meeting you with me."
"You know it's polite to exchange your name when someone gives you theirs." Markus announced as he gave Seras a withering glare.
"It's fine, Markus." Carlos quickly replied. "She doesn't have to give it if she doesn't want to."
"Listen, we just want to know if you're going to be a problem for us because this was our territory first before you purchased it out beneath us." Markus proceeded.
"Markus, just shut up." Gab scoffed with a roll of her eyes. "Let Carlos handle it."
"Don't expect us to just leave now that you're here. This is a safe place for us werewolves, and we're not letting it go without a fight." The male completely ignored her.
"What my friend means is that there's plenty of land here, enough for both our families. We would hardly ever see each other. We're willing to live in peace…"
"With a barbaric blood sucker," Markus interrupted Carlos, earning a dark look from the supposed alpha.
"With you," Carlos finished before giving Seras his complete attention once more.
"You're threatening me for peace." The No Life Queen corrected him. "Otherwise, you wouldn't have brought your whole pack or your 'best fighter'." Sears elaborated as she gestured her head at the woman.
"Again, I only brought the whole pack in case you decided to fight instead of talk." Carlos repeated. "I don't want to fight. I was hoping we could be civil about this and compromise."
"And if I do compromise and we live in 'harmony' on this land together, what of my children?" Seras asked. Carlos merely snickered and shook his head.
"Answer me this, will our children be safe from you?" The alpha asked.
"Yes," Seras answered without hesitate. Markus immediately scoffed, proving that he didn't trust her in the slightest. "I may be a monster, but I still have morals. I'm incapable of hurting a child."
"Then your children will be safe from us." Carlos promised. "Besides, I hardly think we'll see each other, and even if we do, there won't be any interaction." The alpha then glanced over her head to peer at her children who were both still playing in the living room. "Speaking of children," Carlos met her gaze once more. "Where is your mate?" He asked, wondering if he had to worry about him.
"Not in the picture," Seras answered with a shake of her head.
"You lie!" Markus replied immediately. "It's not possible for mates to separate, especially with children involved." Sighing heavily, Seras threw him a dark look.
"I never mated with them and they never found out I was pregnant." The Draculina explained. She then glanced back at Carlos. "It's just me and my sons. My mates have no idea where I am." Carlos stared at her for a long several seconds to see if she was lying or not. When making up his mind, he nodded his head.
"Okay," He whispered, choosing to believe her. "Is it a deal then?" He asked before offering her his hand. "We share this land but keep to ourselves?" Seras sighed through her nose before she accepted his hand and lightly shook it.
"I came here to find peace. I don't want trouble and I have no intention of causing trouble. I don't mind sharing this land as long as my children are safe." The mother responded, earning a smile from Carlos.
"All we're looking for is peace as well." He assured her.
"I promise you won't see much of us." Gab spoke up with a sparkle in her eyes and a bright smile on her face. "We've settled a couple of kilometers from here."
"Honestly, why would you purchase that much land? What would you have done with all of it?" Markus sneered at her.
"Markus, silence yourself." Carlos hissed in annoyance.
"I purchased a safe haven for my children. Land that they can live on for centuries to come." Seras answered as she glowered at him. "I didn't know werewolves had claimed this area. If I had known, I would have gone elsewhere."
"No harm done," Carlos assured her. "Plenty of space. Plenty of miles between us. All should be fine." He then flashed her a polite smile and gave a nod of his head. "Thank you for speaking to us. I'll let you get back to your young ones." The mother, still acting cautiously, slipped back inside her house and closed the door behind her.
"Pandora," Seras called for her faithful hellhound. A large, white dog sprouted from her shadows to sit obediently at Seras' feet. "From now on, your job is to protect my boys with your life. Never let them out of your sight. Never. Not even for a second. You go where they go, and you fight like hell and alert me if anything happens to them." The hellhound was quick to obey her master. Pandora trotted straight over to the boys to be their white shadow then and forever more. She would rather die than leave the boys ever again. The boys were instantly awed by Pandora. Their eyes lit up and they whined in excitement. Vlad was so mesmerized by the big, white creature in front of him that he attempted to stand up. Using all of his might, the small child pushed off the floor and tested his leg strength. The boy grunted and his legs shook, but he successfully stood up all on his own. Vlad stumbled but was quick to latch onto Pandora's fur to hang on and catch his bearings.
"Vlad," Seras whispered when witnessing her child standing all on his own. Tears came to her eyes and she smiled. The tiny vampire laughed and pulled on Pandora's fur. Malphas, on the other hand, was amused by the dog's tail. The little demon did his best to try and sit on the hellhound's wagging tail. When he failed, he got up on his own two feet and attempted catching her tail by smacking his hands together. "If anything ever happened to either of you, I would just die." Seras whispered. "Those wolves better keep their promise and stay far away from us!"
One Month Later
The mother who was in the middle of doing laundry was suddenly interrupted by the sound of whining and crying.
"Malphas?" Seras called out to him, being able to distinguish which son was crying. Leaving the laundry room, the Draculina walked through her house, following the sound of crying. She had left her children in the living room, and by the whereabouts of the crying, she figured that they were still there. Entering the living room, Seras stopped to stare and consider what caused her child to start crying. Vlad was standing on the cushion of the couch. He peered over the back of the couch so he could watch his brother who was lying on his stomach on the floor. From what Seras was gathering, Malphas wasn't physically hurt. The little demon stared up at her with tears in his eyes as he desperately searched for something under the couch. What was he looking for?
"Da-duh," Malphas attempted to say his very first word. "Da-duh," He whined louder as he flung his arm around beneath the couch. "Da-duh!" Giant tears rolled down her son's face as he sobbed heavily. Vlad pointed at his brother then.
"Ma-la," The little vampire called out to his brother. "Ma-la," And then he proceeded to speak gibberish, as if he was having a conversation with his twin. The little demon sniffed before he glanced up at his 'older' brother.
"Da-das," Malphas repeated, as if he was truly responding to whatever his brother had said to him in gibberish. "Lad, da-duh. Da-da," Seras was unable to believe what she was witnessing. Her boys were trying desperately to communicate with one another. Walking over to her son to see what he was searching for, she picked him up.
"Move over, little guy." She gently placed him off to the side as she got down on the floor. Peeking under the couch, the Draculina found what her son had been searching for and it shocked her. From beneath the couch, Seras pulled out a framed picture of her, Alucard, and Sebastian. The photo was quite old, having been taken weeks after she became a vampire. A frown formed on Seras' lips when seeing those familiar faces. It had almost been a year since she last saw her mates. She missed them terribly. When will she see them again? When her kids were well in their twenties and can take care of themselves? That was the plan, but when the time comes, could she truly part from her children for god knows how long? And what about Alucard and Sebastian? When she reunites with them, if they even take her back, how long before they find out about Vlad and Malphas? Seras sighed as hot tears burned her eyes and temporarily blinded her. She wanted to see her mates again. She wanted to be with them and never leave their sides again. Malphas crawled over to place his hands on top of her leg. He peered at the old photograph and smiled brightly.
"Da-das," The little demon exclaimed with such excitement. Seras blinked stupidly at her son as he stared in awe at the photo. She has been showing her sons this photo since the day they were born, but she never thought that it truly registered for the boys of who these men were. Apparently, she was wrong.
"Yes, those are your dads." Seras confirmed as she smiled at her child.
2094
"Where are the boys today?" Seras' therapist, Elizabeth Van Duys, asked as she sat down in a chair across from her.
"A friend is watching them." The Draculina answered with a wave of her hand. Honestly, she didn't even want to think about who was babysitting her boys because she knew the mess she was going to walk in on when she got home. Seras will kill Bernadotte if a single thing was out of place.
"You look a little stressed." Elizabeth noted out loud.
"It's nothing," Seras muttered dismissively. "Just worried about the condition my house will be in when I get home."
"You believe your friend is irresponsible when it comes to taking care of your children and home while you're away?" The therapist asked.
"I didn't come here to talk about Pip or my sons." The small blonde responded as she gave the woman an annoyed look.
"You came to talk about your life partners." Eliza stated with a nod. "Last time, you told me that you never told them about your sons because you were afraid of what they'll do." Ashamed, Seras lowered her gaze before nodding in agreement. "What are you afraid that they'll do to your sons?" Afraid to answer that question, the small blonde shrugged her shoulders. "You were scared for a reason. You left for a reason. And you're here now talking to me about it for a reason. What is that reason, Seras?"
"I don't know." Seras answered with another shrug. "Maybe because I'm confused and lost and don't know what to do. What if I made the wrong choice? What if I was wrong?"
"You're having doubts." Eliza replied with a nod. "What in particular do you think you were in the wrong for doing?"
"For leaving them, Alucard and Sebastian. For never telling them that I was pregnant. For running." Seras listed off angrily.
"What made you run in the first place? What scared you?" The therapist asked.
"I was afraid that…Alucard and Sebastian would hate…them; hate me." The Draculina whispered. "I was so afraid that Alucard and Sebastian hated being fathers so much that they would…" Seras paused for a second and licked her lips nervously. "I was afraid that they would hurt me and the children."
"Do your life partners have a history of being abusive?" Eliza asked as she cocked her head to the side.
"That's complicated." Seras sighed before she ran her hands down her face. "While our romantic relationship was fairly new, I've known Alucard and Sebastian for a very, very long time. But to answer your question, no, they never hurt me. From the moment I met them, we were close. We often did everything together. And when our platonic relationship evolved into a romantic one, they were…so incredibly loving and gentle. They made me so entirely happy, and I still love them with all of my heart, and I think that I always will."
"If you were so happy and they treated you so well, then why did you leave? What caused you to believe that you couldn't trust them around your children?" Eliza asked.
"Well, for one thing, they told me time and time again how much they dislike children." Seras responded with a shake of her head.
"But did they ever outright say to you that they didn't want to have children with you?" The therapist asked. That question made the Draculina pause. For a few seconds, she stared at her therapist as realization sunk in.
"No," Seras whispered, feeling ever so stupid. If she asked if they wanted to have kids with her, would their answer have surprised her? Why hadn't she ever asked them?
"Did you ever ask them if they wanted to have kids with you?" Eliza asked.
"No," Seras whispered.
"Why didn't you?" The therapist asked.
"Because I was fully convinced that they hated and didn't want kids." The Draculina answered, feeling ever so defeated right then. "But now I'm not sure. Why didn't I ever ask them?"
"There are so many people in this world, Seras, who hate children but love their own." Eliza added.
"I know," The Draculina murmured with a nod of her head. She then placed her hands on her chest. "I'm one of them. I'm not fond of children, but I love my sons more than anything in this world. What if Alucard and Sebastian are the same? What if they hate other children, but would love their own sons with all of their heart and would do anything for them?" Seras then looked back at her therapist. "Did I make a huge mistake?" Eliza simply shrugged her shoulders.
"Most mistakes can be fixed." The therapist told her. "You can always try and get in touch with your life partners and tell them about their sons."
"But what if I was right to trust my instincts in the first place? What if I tell them and Alucard and Sebastian will wish harm onto my children?" Seras asked.
"Why do you believe they would want to hurt your children? You said earlier that they don't have a history of being abusive." Eliza reminded her.
"Well…not with me." Seras admitted before lowering her gaze. The therapist furrowed her brows together.
"What do you mean?" She asked.
"Alucard and Sebastian never hurt me, but…apparently Alucard…hurt one of his past…girlfriends." Seras responded with a pale face. "While she was pregnant with his child."
"Did Alucard admit this to you?" Eliza asked. Seras lightly shook her head. "Sebastian?"
"No," The Draculina answered out loud. "It was another woman. She told me."
"Who is this other woman? Did she have any past relationships with Alucard?" The therapist asked.
"She was just an acquaintance of ours. And no, she was never in a relationship with Alucard. She hated him." Seras replied.
"Hated him, huh?" Eliza responded. "So, if she told you, a woman who supposedly hates your Alucard, that he was abusive towards another pregnant woman, why did you choose to believe her? Did you ask Alucard about this past relationship?" Seras shook her head.
"No, I didn't ask him." The Draculina answered.
"But you chose to believe this woman who you barely even knew over a man you've been with and knew for many years?" Eliza asked.
"I know that she hated Alucard, but why would she lie about something like that?" Seras questioned.
"If you were so worried about it being true, then why didn't you just ask Alucard about it?" The therapist asked. Seras shook her head before swallowing the lump that was trying to grow in her throat.
"I was afraid that what she told me was true." The Draculina responded.
"But what if it wasn't true?" The therapist asked. "What if Alucard was innocent? What if Alucard and Sebastian would have been thrilled to find out you were pregnant?" Eliza asked. "Because you were afraid to communicate with them, you don't have those answers, Seras. But as I said before, mistakes can be fixed. Try reaching out to them, Seras. Don't be afraid to communicate. Ask them what you want to know; tell them what is on your mind, and introduce them to their sons. Alucard and Sebastian are missing out on their sons' lives."
Later that night
Seras sat on her bed with her bedroom door closed. Somewhere in the house she could hear her sobs laughing as they played with her familiar and old friend, Pip. She heard glass break, but chose to ignore it for the time being. At the moment, she just sat there and stared at her cellphone as she waited for her courage to come so she could call the people who probably have been waiting for a phone call for the last three years. She was terrified. What will they say? How mad were they? Would they even answer her call? What if they moved on or didn't care to hear what she had to say? Taking several deep breaths, Seras finally made a move. Since Alucard and Sebastian didn't have a cell phone, she had to dial the manor's main phone line. After putting in the numbers and hearing the ring, the girl hesitantly lifted the phone to her ear as she impatiently waited for someone to answer. Would it be Sebastian?
"Hello?" Someone answered a second later, and much to her disappointment it wasn't Sebastian or Alucard.
"Hello?" Seras answered awkwardly. The voice sounded familiar to her, but she was so anxious and scared that she couldn't place the face or name.
"You called. What do you want?" The rude man asked with such impatience.
"Could you put Alucard and or Sebastian on the phone please?" The Draculina asked politely while she mindlessly played with a loose thread on her comforter.
"Why do you want to talk to them?" The man asked with a snicker, seemingly surprised that someone actually wanted to talk to those monsters.
"Well, I am their bloody mate, so I think I have every right to talk to them." Seras responded, who was now growing impatient herself.
"Seras?" The man questioned, though she was still greatly unsure of who she was talking to.
"Yes, now put them on." The Draculina ordered.
"I'm sorry to tell you this, but they're not here." The man told her. Seras' eyes widened.
"Excuse me?" She muttered.
"They're not here." The man repeated. "They left a couple years ago and haven't come back."
"Do you have any idea when they'll return?" Seras asked with the slightest bit of hope.
"Well, they've been gone for about three years now, and haven't heard anything from either of them, but I'm expecting them back any minute now." The man replied sarcastically.
"No need to be a dick about it." Seras hissed angrily.
"Sorry, my lady." The man proceeded in that sarcastic tone, and suddenly Seras remembered him. It was Mihai, that pompous asshole. Getting a migraine, the girl rubbed her forehead.
"Do you at least know where they went?" She asked.
"Nope," He answered.
"Do you know if I can contact them in any way?" Seras asked, growing more frustrated.
"Selina did call me on some cellphone, and she set up an email account before he left." Mihai finally gave her a useful bit of information.
"Don't call him Selina." The Draculina told him for the millionth time. "By chance do you still have that phone number?"
"That was three years ago. No," The annoying, frustrating man responded as if what she asked was a ridiculous question. Seras clicked her tongue with a deep sigh.
"What about his email address? Do you remember that?" She asked.
"Why on earth would I remember his fucking email?" He questioned her. "I have no desire to keep in touch with those freaks."
"You are completely and utterly useless." Seras raised her voice.
"Hey, if you wanted to stay in touch with them, then maybe you shouldn't have left like you did." Mihai replied snarkily. "Take some fucking accountability. You fucked up and I'm not responsible to keep up with their whereabouts or help you fix your fucking mistakes."
"If I ever return to Romania you are most definitely the first person I'm visiting." The Draculina warned him in an extremely calm voice even though she was seething on the inside.
"You're not as intimidating as you think you are, sweetheart." He responded. Without another word, she hung up the phone.
"Pip!" Seras called out to her familiar before she stood up. "I'm going back to Romania!" Her familiar didn't waste a second. An unnatural black shadow crawled on the wall in front of her before the Frenchman's head popped out.
"Romania, mon cher? Should I assume that things went well then? Did you make up with your baby daddies?" Pip asked, earning a look of disgust from the girl.
"Do not call Alucard and Sebastian my baby daddies." Seras begged as she rubbed over her forehead. "No, I wasn't able to talk to either of them. Instead, I got some idiotic prick on the phone who couldn't answer a single one of my questions. So, I'm going to Romania to get answers…and partly because I'm a little vindictive and want to disembowel the asshole that I was on the phone with."
"And your boys?" Pip asked. "Are you taking them with you?" Seras shrugged her shoulders, even though she already knew the answer.
"I am," She responded. "Vlad's dad was born there. It might be good for him to feel a little more connected with his father by visiting Romania. Besides, if Alucard and Sebastian are there…maybe I can introduce them to their sons finally."
"Are you sure that's a good idea, mon cher?" Pip asked with a frown. "What if you were right to run from them?"
"I don't want to think about that, Pip." Seras replied with a shake of her head and hand. "I want to trust my mates. I have to trust them."
"Do you?" The familiar grumbled under his breath.
"And if Alucard and Sebastian aren't there, I can take the boys to London. It'll be a nice little trip. I can take them sightseeing, show them where we worked, maybe take them to their grandparents' graves." Seras listed off.
"Sounds fun for toddlers." Pip muttered sarcastically with a roll of his eyes. He then smirked at her. "You should let me take them out on the town. I can show them true fun."
"Do you think Alucard and Sebastian are in London?" Seras asked, ignoring her familiar's rude comment that she basically wasn't a fun mum.
"Why would they be there?" Her familiar asked.
"Where else would they be?" Seras asked with a shrug. Pip sighed heavily then
"Maybe," The familiar muttered, displeased at how hung up she was on them. "I don't really understand why you need them. We've been doing just fine on our own."
"We?" Seras repeated. "Pip, you only come out when you need to babysit the boys or when we're having a ton of fun and you don't want to be left out. I appreciate your help and all, but being a single mum is no picnic. Besides, the boys would love to officially meet their fathers. They want Alucard and Sebastian in their lives. And I want the same. I would love it if my mates were here with me and loved fathering their children." The girl then shook her head at him. "I know that you hate Alucard and Sebastian. You've made that clear over the years. But whether you like it or not, I love them and I'm going to try and find them."
The Next Night
Seras could be found in the old master bedroom she used to share with her mates. On the other side of the bed, Mihai laid dead for not only being the most aggravating, arrogant cunt she knew, but for always disrespecting her mates. Calmly, the girl washed the blood away by dipping her hands in a basin full of water that was placed on top of the dresser. Courtesy from a younger vampire, most likely a newborn, that either admired her or was terrified of her. Perhaps both. Currently, that young woman was doing her best to keep her boys busy while Seras dealt with the prick and had a look around. Hopefully Alucard and Sebastian left some clue behind of where they might've gone.
Why did they leave? And Mihai said they left three years ago. The same time as her? Did they leave here to go looking for her? Or had they gone their separate ways? Assuming that Sebastian returned to hell, where did Alucard go? Perhaps back to London? Though, would he really want to return to that place after being imprisoned there for two centuries? Had her mates relayed any other place they wanted to go? Seras' brain worked hard to remember if either of her mates ever said anything about wanting to move, but nothing emerged from her memories. Drying her hands on a clean, white towel, Seras turned to take in the room. The room looked like it was being occupied still, as if none of them had ever left. Most of their possessions, hers and theirs, still looked to be there. But where was her coffin? And Alucard's for that matter? Those were most definitely absent.
Her eyes scanned the floor where their coffins normally sat in that large room. It made sense to her why Alucard took his coffin, he was expecting to be gone for a long period of time. But why did he take hers? Were her mates so frustrated that she had run that…they got rid of her coffin? Was that it? Seras' eyes flickered back up to take in the rest of the room. No, that couldn't be it. The rest of her possessions were here. Her clothes, books, perfumes, etc. If they had truly been cross with her, if they truly hated her for running, why not clean the room out of the rest of her stuff? Then where had they taken her coffin? Were they in possession of it? Why? Unless…Suddenly, such a dreary thought crossed over Seras. What if her coffin was no longer her coffin. What if they had given it to someone else?
The No Life Queen's heart shattered a little in her chest and her breath hitched in her throat. What if Alucard and Sebastian fell in love with someone else? What if they left for this other woman, going someplace that appeased her and to get away from the memories they possessed of Seras? What if they had given this woman Seras' old coffin? Anger simmered in the little vampire's eyes while tears welled up. She knew perfectly well that she was making ridiculous assumptions, especially since it took her years, decades, to get Alucard and Sebastian to love her and to express that love. She found it hard for them to open up like that again to someone else, especially after their 'first love' ran out on them without so much as a goodbye. But if they loved before, they can love again. There again, that thought crept into Seras' brain. What if they fell in love with someone else, forgot all about her, and she will never see them again?
The thought made her sick and she quickly banished it. Instead, she redirected herself and headed for the wardrobe that was still full of their clothes. Had Alucard and Sebastian taken anything with them on their cryptic journey? Instinctively, Seras grabbed a shirt sleeve and brought it up to her nose. She sniffed and was pleased when inhaling that familiar scent that made her feel so warm and safe. A smile graced her lips as she took another whiff of Alucard's scent. Closing her eyes, she imagined her face buried in his strong chest as she took in his scent. She pictured his arms wrapping around her, and fooled herself into believing that she felt the restraints of his steel arms around her body. But it was just a fantasy; a distant memory and a reminder of what she gave up. Opening her eyes, Seras stared longingly at his shirt while she ran her thumb over the cool, white material.
"I'm sorry," The Draculina whispered softly. "I thought I was protecting our sons. I thought I made the right choice." Realizing that she was only talking to an empty room, she frowned and quit speaking. Had she made the right choice? Unexpectedly, the girl was interrupted when her two sons barged into her room. The three year olds looked pretty excited and were giggling with such wide smiles on their faces. Vlad climbed up onto the large bed and started jumping up and down while Malphas ran right over to his mother to latch onto her hand. Seras couldn't fight the smile that came and she lovingly placed a hand on the top of her son's head. "What are you boys doing?" Just then, the young vampire from before came in out of breath.
"I'm sorry!" The newborn squeaked while she stared upon Seras in pure fear. The poor dear's teeth started to chatter. "I tried keeping them entertained, but…"
"It's fine," Seras assured her. "My boys are quite the handful, but I appreciate your help. You can go back to what you were doing. I can watch my sons. Thank you." The young vampire, still very pale in the face, looked from her to the young boy that was jumping on the bed.
"Alright," The newborn murmured before she slowly retreated out of the room.
"Mama!" Vlad called out to her. Turning her head, Seras glanced over at her hyper child. The young vampire grinned so widely, showing off his pearly white fangs. He pointed downwards at the blanket that was hiding Mihai's body. "What's under the blanket, Mama?"
"Don't worry about that." Seras responded with a polite smile.
"But what's under there?" The persistent child probed for answers.
"It looks like a body." Malphas rightly guessed. The demon smiled, looking giddy. "Did you kill someone, Mum?"
"Don't worry about it." The mother repeated.
"Mum killed someone! Mum killed someone!" Vlad chanted as he bounced. "Can I have a look?"
"No!" Seras said sternly.
"Why not?" The young vampire questioned her with a disappointed frown.
"Because I said so," She gave the classic response that earned her a groan.
"What's this, Mama?" Malphas asked. Turning, Seras found the young demon standing in front of the vanity holding something. Stepping towards her son, she found that he was holding her master's oranged lensed glasses.
"Oh!" The Draculina exclaimed softly with a bright smile. She immediately knelt down in front of her son who turned to face her while he inspected the strange pair of glasses. "My master…I mean your father, Alucard, wore these." Seras took the pair of glasses from the demon and slipped them onto his face. "The sun was super sensitive to his eyes and the orange lenses helped hide his true eye color from humans. Your father wore these constantly. I'm actually very surprised that he didn't take them with him."
"Maybe he has multiple pairs." The smart, little demon figured. The glasses being too big for him kept slipping down to the tip of his nose, but her son wasn't bothered by this. He smiled ever so brightly and happily continued to wear them. "May I keep them, Mum? It could help hide my eyes from humans."
"Sure, Malphy." Seras permitted him with a warm smile and she ruffled his hair. From the corner of her eye she caught movement. Turning her head, she found Vlad on his knees and peeking under the blanket to see who she had killed. "Vlad!" The mother barked, causing her son to drop the blanket and scramble to his feet.
"I didn't do anything!" Was the boy's immediate response while he innocently held his hands behind his back.
"I saw you." The No Life Queen informed her little prince.
"I didn't see anything!" The boy changed his response. The mother merely shook her head at him.
"Just stay away from the blanket." Seras instructed him.
"Fine," The little vampire huffed before he wandered around the room. His eyes held disinterest, but his curiosity got the better of him. Before long, he was snooping and going through dresser drawers. "Where are our dads? I thought they were going to be here."
"I don't know where your dads are, hon." The Draculina admitted as she rose to her full height. "I'm trying to figure that out." Malphas joined his brother and started going through the drawers with him.
"Are we going to see them or not?" Vlad asked, sounding deeply disappointed and even considered that his mum lied to him.
"Vlad, your dads aren't here. I don't know where they are. We're probably not going to see them. Not today." Seras tried explaining to her young son.
"What?!" The little vampire exclaimed before he spun around to give her a shocked look. "Then why did we come here if they're not here?! I want to see my dads!"
"I don't know where they are." Seras repeated. "If I can't find anything here, then we'll go to London to do a little searching."
"London?" Vlad groaned, sounding as if that was the absolute worst. The child acted as if he's been to London before and despised the city, when in fact, neither of her sons had stepped foot outside the Netherlands before.
"There's nothing wrong with London. I was born there." Seras acted a little defensively. Admittedly, she was getting a little annoyed because she knew that if she didn't deescalate the situation her son was going to have one of his infamous tantrums.
"London sounds so boring though." The little vampire grumbled. "It's a town for old, stiff people."
"What?" The confused mother responded with furrowed brows. Deciding not to argue with a three year old, Seras abruptly ended the conversation and turned away from him. Returning to the wardrobe, she instantly pulled Alucard's shirt off the hanger.
"What are you doing?" Malphas asked as he watched his mother do this. Vlad returned to rummaging through the dressers and other drawers he could find.
"I'm just taking a shirt or two." Seras replied as she grabbed one of Sebastian's as well.
"Why?" The demon asked. "Are you going to wear them, Mama?" A blush tainted the Draculina's cheeks as she bashfully smiled.
"Yes, sweet heart." She muttered before she placed the two shirts in her duffle bag that was placed on the floor beside her.
"Why?" Malphas asked with an arched brow. "Those are men's shirts. You're a girl."
"They're your fathers' shirts." Seras responded.
"I know," The demon answered with a nod.
"I miss them." She whispered. "And their shirts bring me…comfort. They make me happy."
"You're weird," Vlad muttered.
"I think that's sweet." Malphas chirped with a warm smile.
"You're weird too." The little vampire prince added. The young boy then paused when he came across something. "Hey, Mum." Grabbing the item he spotted, he turned to face his mother. "What's this?" In his small hands, he held a tie that was rolled up very neatly. Grabbing one end, the boy unraveled the long tie to let it hang freely at his side.
"It's a tie, sweetheart." Seras told him. The young boy pulled back his head to give his mother such a strange look, almost as if he didn't understand the language she was speaking.
"No it's not." Vlad corrected her. He then held the tie up so she could get a closer look. "This looks nothing like a tie."
"That's because it hasn't been tied. This is what it looks like untied." Seras further explained. "Here," She then stooped to the floor and took the black tie from him. Wrapping it gingerly around his neck, she began to tie it for him so he could see. "Your father was very keen on looking his best. Even his casual wear was very precise, stylish, and had a touch of formality."
"I don't know what any of that means, Mum." Vlad admitted to her as he carefully watched her work the tie.
"There," She purred when she finished tying it. It was a little long on the young boy, but she knew that he would eventually grow into it.
"Cool," Vlad muttered as he cupped the end of the tie in his hand and stared at her handiwork.
"How do you know how to tie that?" Malphas asked as also took ahold of the tie.
"My father, your grandfather, taught me." The mother replied with a soft smile. "He wore a tie to work every day and, eventually, so did I."
"You wore a tie, Mum?" Malphas asked. "Aren't ties for boys?"
"It was part of the uniform, hon." Seras laughed. "Girls can wear things that were intentionally made for boys as much as boys can wear things that were made for girls."
"That seems backwards." The little demon muttered with a frown.
"Why would a boy want to wear something that was made for a girl?" Vlad sneered.
"It's alright if you don't want to wear girly things, but there are some boys who like wearing dresses and makeup." Seras explained.
"Why?" Both of her boys asked at the same time.
"It's just who they are; what they like, and neither of you should be so judgemental." The mother lightly scolded them. "Again, it's okay if you don't like girly things, but there are some boys who do and that's okay." A smile swept back across her face then. "Take your fathers for example."
"Our fathers?!" Vlad squeaked and his eyes widened to the size of saucers. "What about them and girly things, Mum?"
"One of your fathers, Alucard, has occasionally turned himself into a girl." Seras continued on. "And your other father, Sebastian, likes to wear leathery boots and high heels." Vlad frowned, though he said nothing more about it. "They're centuries old, very old school. If they can be open minded and non-judgemental of what others like, then you two can be too."
"Are we anything like them?" Vlad whispered with such a heartbroken look in his eyes. Too nervous to meet his mum's gaze, he stared glumly at the floor.
"More than you realize, son." Seras whispered. "Listen, I'm not forcing you to believe in what I believe or trying to push you to act like your fathers. You just do you, Vlad. All I hope for is that you're happy in the end." She earned a gentle smile from the somewhat bashful prince of vampires. "We came here to look for your fathers." Seras reminded them with a snicker. She then held out both of her hands to her sons who looked at her in interest. "Why don't we go look for some clues and talk to people to see if they know where your fathers are." Giant smiles swept across the boys' faces. Eagerly, they latched onto their mother's hands.
"Yeah!" Vlad exclaimed excitedly.
"Let's go!" Malphas yelled as he impatiently pulled on his mum's hand to get her to move faster. "Let's find them already!"
