Luigi gasped and sat up in bed, Oh. Just a dream…He sagged back down and let out a sigh. Mario had just proposed to Peach, after all, he'd been knighted by Peasley and given land which made him a lord and allowed him to court or marry a royal like Peach. Luigi sighed harder as he thought about Daisy, She was a beautiful woman and if he was so inclined to, he probably would have fallen in love with her-but he'd never really felt attraction to women. His parents had said it was a phase, he'd grow out of it and Mario had said he was younger, so it wasn't surprising, but they were in their twenties, and he still didn't feel that way about women.

But guys on the other hand…He'd never told his family about that as he figured they couldn't accept that. Not with the way some of his family talked about certain people. Rolling out of bed he figured he could stop feeling sorry for himself and go get some coffee and make breakfast. Stumbling out of his room he realized that Mario wasn't up yet either, poor guy. Helping plan the wedding was keeping him out longer than normal. It wasn't that much of a surprise that he was still in bed, really it was already eight? They really had slept in!

He started up the coffee machine, moved to the fridge, and rummaged around looking for the ingredients for a Rustico.

"I know you said you were going to E. Gadd's but uh-who proposed to you?" Mario said startling Luigi who banged his head on the top of the fridge. He hissed as he pressed a hand to the back of his head.

"What? Dio, did you have to scare me like that bro?" Mario was staring at him like he'd never seen Luigi before and honestly, what was his problem? Had he stayed up too long or something and now was zoning out like a zombie this morning?

"Sorry but- what is this?" And Mario grabbed his hand and held it up to his own face and his jaw dropped. The ring from his dream! Obsidian for the main bulk of the ring with little Phantom Amethysts and Star Emeralds dotting the middle.

"But. But how did that? I saw this in a dream!" Mario frowned and looked down at the ring, Luigi shivered and gently pulled his hand out of Mario's and the stones twinkled at him, but how was this possible when he'd only dreamed about marrying someone?

"You weren't sleeping on a Pi'illo were you," Mario said teasingly and Luigi rolled his eyes.

"No, and even if I was how did this ring come from my dream into the real world?" Mario frowned and the coffee machine pinged giving Luigi a fright, grumbling about being scared by too many things so early in the morning he made up his and Mario's cups as Mario moved to the fridge.

"I was thinking about making rustico." Mario hummed and started to pull out the ingredients.

"So how are we going to figure out where that ring came from and why it's on your ring finger?" Mario said as he riffled through the cabinets looking for the tools he needed.

"I know it wasn't there when I came home and got ready for bed…And the only place I saw it was in my dream." Mario and he worked together to make breakfast occasionally sipping their coffee.

"What exactly were you dreaming about?" Sighing he thought about exactly what he'd dreamed.

"I was in a cathedral and was getting married…" Mario glanced at him, his cheeks flaring red.

"So, you were thinking about how I proposed to Peach then, so you get up there and your wife walks down the aisle yeah?" Mario asked and he bit his lip, he wasn't going to tell Mario he'd been the one to walk down the aisle himself.

"I couldn't hear the priest at first, till I had to say I do. That's when I saw the ring instead of kissing them." Luigi leaned against the counter, thoughts going back to the hazy dream.

"It felt good, and the place was beautiful, filled with thousands of candles-super romantic. But it was just a few people…Me, the person I married, attendants, and the priest. No family or friends, I would never do that, I'd want everyone I care about to come." Mario nodded, glancing at his own ring worrying his bottom lip.

"Peach told me something a while back, but it made no sense to me…Now, now I'm worried that she might have been right." What did that mean?

"Huh?" Mario snorted and looked up at him, blue eyes darkened by his thoughts.

"Peach told me that if you dream of being wed, that you should run away or try to wake up because that means an entity is trying to marry you." Uhhh, he wasn't sure where Mario was going with this.

"You what, think a Demon or something was trying to marry me? Why, what for?" Mario shrugged and sipped his coffee.

"Peach never told me what happens if you don't manage to get away from whatever was trying to marry you only that it wasn't a good thing."
