For once Peach looked nothing like the princess she was, fuzzy pink pajamas graced her body, her hair up in a high ponytail and a large glass of rose wine in her hand. Her other hand reached towards a little bonbon.

Luigi had been to several 'Girl nights' simply because everyone got along with him, and he'd been able to hold interesting conversations with each of the women here. Daisy looked cute in her orange pajamas as they had little flowers and cacti on them, and Rosalina had baby blue pajamas that had lace frills on the cuffs.

They had been chatting about silly stuff they had to deal with since their last get-together, but Peach was giving him a look that he knew meant she was up to no good. He had a good idea what she was up to and wasn't certain about how he felt about the topic she would probably bring up.

"So A little birdy told me that you are married." They both knew who that bird was and he was going to kick said bird's little red ass, his eye twitched and Dasiy exploded;

"What! No way, spill! When the hell did you start seeing someone and get hitched! Which by the way why wasn't I invited? I would have loved to have been there!" and he would have loved having her there if it hadn't been a trap in a dream that apparently in this world was as binding as a wedding where everyone was awake for some reason!

"I know it's a stressful situation, I think you should let your friends know so that maybe if we put all our heads together, we can fix it?" Peach said and then took a sip of her wine and yes, that was true…Maybe they would know something helpful but given the way Peach herself had reacted and when they had asked Toadsworth his opinion…There was no way out of it.

"I'm going to share something with you but please don't tell anyone else." Daisy and Rosalina nodded, and he let out a breath, it would be good to get it off his chest and to find possible solutions to his current predicament.

"So about two weeks ago I went to sleep and in my dream I was walking down the aisle, in a beautiful cathedral, I was holding a bouquet and someone was waiting for me with the priest…It was just a super romantic and intimate wedding but it was so quiet because there were no people in the pews…" It had felt so…Good, to be wanted that much. But his fate was anything but good.

"Anyway, we ended up saying I do, but when I woke up Mario pointed out that I had a ring on my finger…It wasn't until I was helping Gadd again that I realized that it was King Boo who tricked me because the ghosts were listening to me."

Daisy and Rosalina looked completely shocked, Rosalina with a hand over her mouth and Daisy trying but failing to find the words for what she was feeling about his situation. Luigi squirmed, hoping that he'd still have friends after this even if it wasn't his fault, it was Boo's.

"I'm so sorry Luigi! Is there any way to break the bond, I mean I know most times it's practically impossible especially if it's the ruler of a kingdom!" Daisy finally said and Peach shook her head as he shared the details eventually with lots of goading on her part and too much wine on his.

Luigi hadn't known that Boo could manipulate dreams and with everything said he'd willingly married. He might have thought it was just a regular dream but now he was full-on married to the ghostly king. It did give him minor power over Boo's minions. That made his life a little easier in that regard but what power did Boo have over him?

"But why would you have said yes in a dream?" Daisy asked and he rolled his eyes. He'd talked with her about his issues with his family, about who he was interested in versus who his family thought was appropriate for him. Of course, now he was married to a man-ghost but a man.

"I didn't know that dream weddings were binding in this world and how was I supposed to know it was Boo in my head at the time? I was asleep, kind of figured it was because of Peach and Mario's upcoming wedding…I've wanted to belong to someone the way they belong together and I just." He threw his hands up, getting off the couch and pacing. Because this whole mess could have been avoided if he'd known to run for it.

"Maybe it was meant to be?" Rosalina asked and as cryptic as she usually was that was just not possible.

"No, he planned it, he purposefully gave me a wedding, but he won't tell me what he's up to naturally but I just. It has to be to mess up the wedding and I already asked Mario to uninvite me, but he just won't listen to reason." Peach sighed and took a deeper sip of her wine than he expected before setting her glass down.

"We already figured someone would try to crash the wedding, that paperwork I told you was just a prenup was actually the marriage certificate Luigi." They already, he was. He stopped pacing and stared at her, and Peach let out a reedy laugh.

"Okay we know we should have told you that you witnessed us officially become husband and wife, but we were keeping it really close to the chest." Damned it he knew he should have read it before he signed as witness those tricky jerks!

"That's why you didn't want me to read it because then I would know. But why tell me now?" Peach giggled and the others stared at them like they were watching a tennis match.

"Because our wedding is literally a day away. Who's going to stop us from getting married when we already are? Plus, I've felt bad for how stressed out you've been by all of this."

Sitting back down Peach hugged him then Daisy, Rosalina got up to hug him, and when everyone settled back down and refreshed their wine Daisy laughed.

"Well, I think Boo's plan's goanna backfire because now you've been given reign over his people or at least the ones that recognize him as the rightful ruler. But that also makes you consort! It doesn't give you a lot of power honestly but maybe enough to run him ragged trying to figure out what you're up to." Luigi had already thought about that, but he didn't really know anything about King Boo's ghost dimension. Did that even really count as a kingdom, he wasn't sure.

"Wait, I wanna see the ring!" Daisy pipped up and he rolled his eyes before bringing it out for her to inspect. Her eyes lit up as did Rosalina's.

"These are rare here; well, the obsidian isn't but the Amathyst is. Not sure where he gets that kind as there's nothing like it here." He knew, but really? Phantom Amethyst wasn't something here?

"We have it in our world, same with the Star Emeralds. We call it Phantom Amethyst, but Gadd says it might have belonged to Boo's mother when he was alive assuming Gadd's right about who Boo used to be."
