SALUTATIONS! It's good to be back on the air! Yes, I know it's been a while since someone… Well, I don't think anyone missed me after I just posted two one-shots on some Izuku ships around 2023.
Anyway, instead of making a complete mistake on some ideas I want to make for my Izuku AU fics, I decided to pile them into one-shots to probably get everyone's interests, if I can. First off, here's a story where Izuku is the son of an infamous card magician villain and got his Quirk. All powers are inspired by Twisted Fate from League of Legends, but I decided to do an upgrade on the powers.
Enjoy!
"Hey, teach! Don't lump on me with these extras! Unlike them, I have a Quirk that's way better than anyone in this dipshit class!" Katsuki Bakugo, an ash-blonde haired boy with a devious grin on his face and an overconfident aura, bragged as it got a lot of angry remarks from his classmates.
"Hey, shut your mouth, Bakugo! We matter just like you!"
"That was uncalled for!"
"You really got a lot of nerve talking like your hot shit, huh?"
As the class got more offended, Bakugo just had a sadistic look on his face. "What's wrong, you losers gonna cry?! I bet your lame-ass Quirks can't even top me at all! Mind as well shut up!" he laughed.
"Well, since Bakugo is going at it again, I suppose it doesn't matter since he's going to UA." The teacher said, shocking the entire class.
"UA?!" They all collectively gasped in surprise.
"That's the toughest hero school in the country!", they all say, but it didn't surprise Bakugo at all.
"Sucks to be all of you now, huh?" Bakugo smiled with ease as he stood up on his desk. "I aced all the mock tests! I'm gonna get into UA, and I'll be the best hero out there, even my name will be remembered on the face of the earth! Not even All Might could take me down in a fight!"
As Bakugo erupted into a hearty laughter, everyone just slouched into their seats as their confidence faded away like dust.
"Now that you mentioned UA, I do recall Midoriya is also planning to apply in UA. Right, Midoriya?"
Bakugo stopped laughing. His moment of triumph was interrupted when a familiar name was mentioned, and he hated it a lot.
Everyone's eyes all turned to the back. Behind them is a scrawny kid with green hair, freckles formed that looked like diamonds, and blue eyes. The attention that he is gaining caused the boy to look a bit surprised.
"Uh… yes! I am!" the boy said as he cleared his throat. "I'm planning to go to UA. After all… I have a ninety percent chance of getting in, unless I play my cards right." Unlike Bakugo, Izuku said it like it was the truth.
"Midoriya? Him, being a hero? Isn't his dad a villain?"
"Well, yeah, but I don't think Midoriya isn't an asshole or some school shooter. He's a nice kid!"
"Right?! Midoriya's a nice guy by heart. He even used his Quirk earlier to save me from a truck."
"Eh, it doesn't suit right. The son of an infamous villain that wants to be a hero will never make history."
"DEKU!" Bakugo yelled in anger, as his hands sparkled with mini explosions. "You piece of shit, you stay out of this!"
As the Explosion jerk threw his hands at him, Izuku's blue eyes glowed, and let out a black card on his hand, and by the time Bakugo is about to attack him, a spade-shaped shield appeared as it blocked his explosion hand in time.
"Come on, Bakugo. Didn't Aunt Mitsuki say to use your normal words?" Izuku said, but it was never clear if he was trying to joke his way around or he was getting annoyed.
"Listen, nerd! Just because you got a special Quirk doesn't mean it makes you a hero! You'll always be a villain!" Bakugo angrily warned. "Got it, you fuck?!"
"No." Izuku blatantly replied. "It's my choice, Bakugo. I can do whatever I want."
"Alright, that's enough, you two!" The homeroom teacher got their attention. "Now, let's go back to class, and resume yesterday's history lesson…"
As everyone decided to get back to the lesson, Bakugo slowly sat back down in anger.
Izuku Midoriya is not the normal kid in the block with a Quirk of any kind.
Unlike some people when the world is filled with eighty percent of the population having Quirks, Izuku's is a very far unique one. It could be either used for offense or defense in any situation. It can also be good for support. Needless to say, his Quirk is like a "Jack of All Trades" kind.
His Quirk is called Mystic Cards. As the name implies, Mystic Cards Arts can let Izuku summon color-based magical cards from its four types of suits: Diamonds, Hearts, Spades, anc Clubs. Blue Diamonds can create very durable shields, Red Hearts can heal injuries, Black Spades can create swords and other bladed weapons, and Yellow Clubs act like energy blasts.
But thanks to Izuku's wits, it's the perfect Quirk for him to have. But there's just one problem. It's labeled as a villain Quirk. And he got it from one of Japan's most infamous villains, Jack of Hearts. But that won't stop him being a hero, which is a huge path to try getting past.
AAAAAA
As class ended, Izuku decided to pack up and get back home to relax since today is Friday, meaning he has more time to relax. An entire week of school can be very tiring, and anyone can relate.
"Oi, Deku!" Bakugo yelled as Izuku turned to see him. Bakugo's lackeys blocked Izuku's path to the exit as Izuku stopped walking, facing Bakugo.
"What is it this time, Bakugo?" Izuku said in a bored tone, as he doesn't want to deal with Bakugo's bullshit. "But if you're willing to make it quick, go ahead. I really need to get going."
"Like you're in the right to give me orders!" Bakugo barked back. "Listen to me and listen good, nerd! You can't be a hero cause villains can't be! Give it up!"
"So?"
"So!? You're dad's a villain, and he's out there, probably forgetting about you!" Bakugo counter-argued. "No ones going to take you for a hero! Even UA won't accept a piece of scum like you!"
"And let me tell you this and I hope you understand more, Kacchan. It's. My. Choice." Izuku said, getting annoyed by Bakugo right now. "And I'm nothing like my father. So you can stop and give it a rest."
"FUCK THAT!" Bakugo ignored him. "Maybe beating you up right now will make a difference! I'm gonna make you learn your place, you villain!" Bakugo's hands spark as he throws his arm at Izuku.
However, the young card master manifested a yellow Club as he threw it at the floor that somewhat created a flashbang effect that blinded Bakugo, causing him to growl in pain as he covered his eyes.
"Agh! What the fuck, Deku?! You're playing dirty with your Quirk!" Bakugo stated, as he tried to attack Izuku with his Quirk. "You bastard!"
"Yeah, and goodbye Bakugou. See you on Monday." Izuku couldn't care what he did as he started leaving the classroom. Bakugo's cronies shaked in fear as they let him go, not wanting to piss off the green card master.
AAAAAA
Izuku decided to take a shortcut to the alleyway, which is the closest to going to the apartment where he lives. As he entered the alleyway, a sludge peaked beneath the manhole cover and stared at Izuku.
"Ohhh! A naive boy who doesn't know that I am here? Perfect!" The Sludge Villain said as he sneakily made his way behind Izuku to take control of him. Izuku turned around to see the Sludge Villain towering over him as he was easily captured.
The Sludge Villain began to take control of Izuku's squirming body by moving its slime-like body inside Izuku's mouth, while the rest slowly took over his body. "Stop squirming, kid! This will all be over once you're dead! No one's going to save you!"
Unfortunately, for the Sludge Villain, he noticed Izuku's hand manifested three yellow Clubs in a second, and it confused the villain. Izuku's free hand crushed the cards as it created a flashbang that blinded the villain, which also caused him to let Izuku go.
As the Sludge Villain tried to adjust his eyesight and kept on saying a few curse words, Izuku healed himself with a few Red Hearts and catches his breath after almost getting suffocated. He stood back up as the Sludge Villain faced him with an angry look.
"I wouldn't go near me again if I were you." Izuku warned as he manifested a set of cards on his hands, "You don't want to get blind, do you?"
"I know that Quirk! You're Jack's bastard son!" The Sludge Villain said. "Doesn't matter! You don't scare me, kid! Like I said, no one's going to save you! You're trapped in here with me!"
"I can wait for the Pros to arrive for all I care." Izuku smirked as he yelled. "Long Spade!" a set of black Spade cards floated as they transformed into a black longsword, and his left hand manifested another set of yellow Clubs that floated around.
"Besides…" Izuku got into a fighting stance, showing no fear to the Sludge Villain. "You're the one trapped in here with me."
AAAAAA
After dealing with the Sludge Villain and somehow holding onto All Might's leg after stopping the villain, Izuku's continuous blabbering caused the Symbol of Peace to transform into a skinny skeletal human, who looks exactly like him.
"W-Who are you! You're not All Might!" Izuku said in a scared tone. Despite being a carefree person, he's still a nerd. "You're an imposter!"
"Young man, I can assure you I'm All - Blegh!" Unfortunately, the Symbol of Peace coughed some blood, causing Izuku to panic.
"Shit, I almost forgot!" Izuku said as he manifested a Hearts, but after looking at All Might, he made five of them. "Here, this will help."
The Heart cards were placed by Izuku on All Might's body, and the blonde man felt relieved afterwards. "Oh! That felt wonderful! Tell me, young man. Is this your Quirk?"
"Yes, but it's a hereditary kind." Izuku said as he manifested four different colored cards on one hand. "I can manifest a different set of cards with different powers. Hearts can heal injuries, diamonds can make shields, spades can make swords, and clubs can be used as energy blasts."
"Incredible! Surely a Quirk like this must be used for heroics. It would be a shame if someone like Jack had a son who has a Quirk… like…" All Might stared at Izuku, and put two to two together. "Wait! You're Jack of Hearts' son!?"
"I knew this would happen! Please, All Might, sir! I just used my Quirk to defend myself from that Sludge Villain!" Izuku pleaded. "Please don't take me to jail!"
Eventually, instead of something harsh of a response, All Might let out a big laugh, causing Izuku to look like an idiot.
"Young man, do I look like I'm one of those heroes who judges without knowing the facts?" All Might asked, but kept on going. "I'm aware that your father left you after you were born. Don't know why he did it, but I'm more confused that you're aware of your dad at all."
"Well… you're right about that…" Izuku couldn't help but agree with what he said.
"And secondly, you stopped that Sludge Villain all by yourself before he could escape which allowed me to capture him, and using your Quirk to heal my injuries." All Might added. "If anything, kid, you could be a hero with your father's Quirk!"
"Really? I-I can be a hero?!" Izuku started smiling with hope. "Even if my dad's a villain?"
"Of course! You seem like an innocent kid, unless you're playing your cards right, you'll definitely be a great hero." All Might said. "Now, if you excuse me, I need to get to the police station. Stay safe, and stay out of trouble."
"I will, All Might. And thank you again!" Izuku thanked, and couldn't help but keep smiling so badly. The hero that he admired from childhood convinces him he can be a hero even if he has a villain of a dad.
Besides, what could go wrong now that hope is by his side? Probably nothing too serious.
AAAAAA
Explosions were heard around, a crowd of citizens watched, while a group of Pros are trying to deal with the Sludge Villain, who mysteriously escaped, causing havoc.
Izuku watched in horror and noticed Bakugo was the villain's victim. He managed to take control of someone this time.
"Crap! Bakugo's already a victim, and the Heroes aren't doing anything!" Izuku tried to think about saving him irresponsibly or just follow All Might's warning to not get into trouble. He sighed and his eyes glowed blue.
"Screw it!" He dashed his way into the scene. "Hey! You! Remember me!?"
"You again?!" The Sludge Villain sounded both scared and surprised. "If you want take me, you lost your chance! Now die!"
Izuku crossed his arms around his face and threw five yellow Clubs. "Club Banger!"
The ten cards exploded upon impact, causing the Sludge Villain to expose Bakugo after suffering a painful hit. The explosion jerk was only half out, so Izuku decided to pull him out.
"Deku…" Bakugo glared at him, but tried speaking, "Why are you helping me you damn…"
"Talk more, and you'll loose a lot of breath." Izuku warned cautiously. Then, he noticed a shadow getting bigger.
"You really think you can just be a hero even if you're the son of an infamous villain!? I'll do him the favor by killing you, ya little shit!" The Sludge Villain grew in size as he attempted to harm both boys.
"I wouldn't try it, Villain, for… I AM HERE!" All Might, now all buffed up, appeared and delivered a powerful punch of. "TEXAS… SMASH!"
With a powerful blow, the Sludge Villain was caught by the even more powerful wind current, and he disappeared fully just like the weather changing.
AAAAAA
After getting scolded for being irresponsible and trying to get himself kill, Izuku ignored all what they said and walked off to mind his own business. After all, he couldn't let a jerk like Bakugo get killed. As much as he hates his attitude, he doesn't deserve death. Who knows, he might apologize after how he treated Izuku.
"DEKU!" Bakugo yelled, as Izuku turned to see that he caught up with him. Weird? "You bastard, I didn't even need your help!"
"You looked like you needed it. Consider that as an apology for messing with your eyes back at school." Izuku apologized as he manifested a red Heart. "Come on, I'll heal that little wound of yours. Those paramedics were sloppy in patching you up."
"BACK THE FUCK UP, NOW!" Bakugo angrily warned, his Explosion ready to be used, as Izuku stopped. "Like I needed saving from a villain! I never needed saving! And you never saved me!"
As the explosive jerk stormed off in a grunt, Izuku only sighed as the red card disappeared. At least he wanted to do something nice. He just pretend what happened now wasn't nothing and started heading home.
"YOUNG MAN!" All Might said aloud as he shot out from the side of the street.
"A-A-All Might!?" Izuku exclaimed in surprise. "What are you doing here!?"
"Simple as I can say, young man! Getting away from the media is easy, cause… I AM HER - BLEEAAGHHH!" Eventually, he reverted back to his skinny form in seconds, causing Izuku to scream.
"All Might!" Izuku rushed to him and placed a red Hearts on his back, "Did you forget you have a limit!? What's wrong with you!?"
All Might cleared his throat. "Yes, I forgot. Sorry…" he apologized and stood up straight to face Izuku. "Now… The reason that I'm here is that I have something important to tell you. Something that can make you a hero."
"I really appreciate it, All Might. I really do." Izuku smiled at what All Might is saying. "I have to thank you for inspiring me that even if my dad's a villain, I still can…"
"No, it's that." Izuku was confused, and All Might further explained. "There's a way that I can make you into the hero you can be."
Izuku got his attention, and listened to the whole thing.
AAAAAA
Over the next eight months, Izuku has somewhat accepted a vigorous and tough training routine to help him become the hero he can be. All Might gave him a task to clean the now-trash ridden Takoba Beach as a way to give him the strength and opportunity to become a hero. But Izuku was never sure what it was for.
"Come on, Young Midoriya! You're almost to the end of the park! Two more laps to go!" All Might cheered as Izuku stopped to catch his breath. "Okay, we can take a break for a while!"
Later, the two are by the park bench, as Izuku takes a break comfortably and catching his breath.
"It's been eight months already and you're still going well with this training I offered you. I'm surprised you didn't quit or loose your mind about all this!" All Might commented.
"Why would I? This is a perfect way to train myself for the UA entrance exam. If anything, I should be thanking you for this." izuku stated.
"Well, you don't have to. After all, you should be thanking me once I let you have my Quirk."
"What are you talking about?" Izuku asked, as he drank some water.
All Might tried to find thr words to explain it. "There's no other way for me to say this, Young Midoriya, but… my Quirk can be passed down."
Izuku spat his drink and coughed. "Passed down!? That's impossible! Quirks don't get passed down that easily, but yours can!? I don't understand, could it be that possible. I mean…"
"Now, now. No time for that." All Might laughed at his student's reaction. "But yes, it can be passed down. My Quirk is called One For All. The more times it's passed down, the more it gets powerful than ever. All I asked is for you to finish your one-year training and accept One For All as a gift. Plus, think about it! Your Quirk and One For All, it'll be a perfect opportunity for you to have!"
"I'm flattered by the offer, All Might. I really am!" Izuku said, trying not to sound rude. "I… I'd rather refuse the offer. It's just that… My Quirk is powerful and I already master it since I got it. Sure, I got it from my villain dad, but I'd use this opportunity to prove to everyone that I can be a hero."
All Might was touched by the young boy's words. He is the first person that neglected the power of One For All, the power that could make him the best hero. But he was fine with the rejection.
"Young Midoriya, you really gave me a good reason for rejecting my Quirk. Honestly, I'm surprised!" All Might smiled as he placed his hand on his shoulder. "I'll always be there to help you achieve your dreams of becoming a hero. You can count on me!"
Izuku just smiled and nodded. He knows he can trust him since he's been training for eight months, so it's nothing for him to worry about.
"Alright, let's call it a day. Tomorrow, let's keep the exercising routine aside for a while, and train to use your Quirk in many ways." All Might said. "Meet me by the beach tomorrow morning."
"I will!" Izuku replied, as tomorrow was going to be more tough to get what he wants, but it will be all worth it in the end.
AAAAAA
Izuku never thought that the Entrance Exam would be more on scoring more points by just destroying robots in his way. He usually deals with the one and two pointers since the three-pointer types are the hardest since they're more advanced in taking on the examinees like him.
"Wow! This is going to be easy after all! Just hope I don't run into a…" Izuku's smile dropped when he heard a call for help as he turned to his left.
A girl around his age with short purple hair and ear jacks hanging below her earlobes fell on the ground as the three-pointer towered below her, preparing to attack her with a rotating gatling gun armed and ready.
As the girl cowered in fear, the three pointer was hit by yellow energy blasts as it turned around, only to see Izuku coming in quick with two longswords.
"Ace Slash!" Izuku sliced the three-pointed in an A-shape cut thanks to his combat speed, which caused the robot to explode. Izuku turned his head to the earphone jack girl. "Hey, are you alright?"
"Y-Yeah, but… my leg's not doing well." she hissed in pain as her foot was bloodied with a bullet hole in it. "I don't think I can move."
"Don't worry. I got that covered." Izuku manifested five Hearts that healed her foot, as the blood and bullet hole disappeared. "There. That should fix it."
"Wow. I can't believe your Quirk is magic cards. Lend me a hand?" she said as Izuku lifted her up. "Thanks for helping me. Not many of the examinees are really into saving."
"Yeah… They could at least save my life if anyone's in trouble." Izuku added. Suddenly, the ground shook hard as the two teenagers became alert of what's happening.
"An earthquake? In the middle of an exam?!" The earphone jack girl yelled in surprise. "What the hell's going on?!"
Then, in front of them, a giant robot that's even taller than the buildings of the mock city rose from the ground. This was the Zero-Pointer that Present Mic mentioned about. Aside from its large hulking size, if any tries to take it down, they will lose all their points.
"What the hell is that?!" The earphone jack girl yelled in fear.
"It's the zero pointer Present Mic mentioned about!" Izuku informed.
"We need to get going, now!" She said as the boy nodded in agreement, but they all heard someone groaning in pain.
"Ow!" A brown-haired girl with pink blushes on her cheeks groaned in pain as she watched the large zero pointer heading towards her direction. Luckily, as her prayers were answered, Izuku came in time as he lifted the large rubble that was keeping her ankle stuck.
"Don't worry, we're gonna help you!" Izuku said as the earphone jacks helped her get up.
"Quick, heal her so we can go!" the earphone jack girl said as Izuku summoned three hearts on his left, and healed the brown-haired girl's ankle.
"H-How did you do that?" The brown haired girl was amazed that her leg healed in seconds. She screamed as the zero-pointer was getting closer as they couldn't outrun it completely.
"No time to explain! Gotta concentrate!" Izuku said as he summoned some Spades and Clubs.
"Wait! You're going to lose your points!" the purple-haired girl begged. "Don't risk it!"
"It's fine! I don't care how many points I'll lose! I'm not gonna let anyone get killed today!" Izuku finished creating a special weapon from the cards he summoned.
"Titan Spear Spade!"
With all the black Spades creating a large floating javelin/spear hybrid that's tall as two school buses long, Izuku threw his hands really hard as the sword went straight to the zero pointer's chest, causing it to stop moving as it fell back by how hard it got stabbed. The two girls were flabbergasted by what they just watched, as Izuku gave them a thumbs up.
AAAAAA
After their first two days in school, Izuku learned that the people he knew in the Sports Festival is the rocker girl with earphone jacks Kyoka Jiro, the bubbly brown-haired girl Ochaco Uraraka, and the blue-haired man who kept chopping the air Tenya Iida. All the while, he impressed his new classmates during their first day with their homeroom teacher, then followed by the second day, which is now, is their hero training with All Might.
The class is divided into two groups: Two heroes and two villains. The heroes' objective is to find the bomb and disarm it before time runs out, while the villains have to stop them from reaching the bomb. As the first two groups were called in first, the battle could flip the tables on a whole new level.
"DIE!" Bakugo yelled as he kept on hitting Izuku with his explosion-filled hands, but he kept on missing. "Stay the fuck down, Deku! You're and that bitch are not gonna win this!"
Izuku kept on dodging Bakugo's attacks as each swing and attempted hits were missed. Stepping two steps back, Izuku quickly noticed Bakugo putting his arms behind him to perform a launching attack. Quickly, he threw a yellow Club that stun him.
Bakugo almost lost concentration, but remained focused to attack the card nerd. But Izuku was able to deliver an early counterattack by delivering a sucker punch to the gut, followed by pushing him and launching six Clubs that sent him dragging on the floor.
"Had enough?" Izuku asked, as he got into a stance with another set of charged Clubs in his hands.
Bakugo coughed as he grinned. "You can play your damn card tricks all you want, you nerd!" He raised his head to face Izuku with a sadistic expression surrounding his face. "But you still forgot one thing! My sweat is all stored up to this special weapon of my costume!" He aimed his grenade-shaped bracers at Izuku.
"He's right, his sweat is nitroglycerin. The more he stores it, he could charge that weapon like a…" Izuku realized his mistake as he gasped in fear. "Bakugo! Wait! You're going to…"
"Shut up! Just like I said before back in middle school, I'm going to get rid of a villain like you…" he pulled the pin as his grenade bracers began to charge up quickly. "BACK TO HELL!"
As his grenade bracers released a large explosion straight to Izuku, the card boy was suddenly eaten by the fast blast effect as it destroyed half of the building. As the smoke began to clear off, Izuku managed to save himself by using a Diamond card to create a shield.
Unfortunately, he suffered a few burns before the shield was formed. He tried to summon a set of Hearts to heal them, but he winced in pain as he felt like his hands were stinging so much.
"What's wrong? Can't use your Quirk anymore? Must be a bad thing since you got one!" Bakugo taunted as he grinned devilishly. This time, I'm gonna make sure you stay in your goddamn place, you villain fuck!"
As Bakugo launched himself to attack Izuku, the card boy jumped out of the way as Bakugo missed, however, the explosion boy turned his right arm to launch to Izuku once again. Instead of him delivering a killing explosive blow, Izuku was the one who managed to counter attack by delivering a roundhouse kick, causing Bakugo to fall on the ground.
He stood up, as Bakugo growled in anger as he gritted his teeth. "Really, nerd? Using your weak-ass legs to stop me?! Too scared that your Quirk will just hurt your bitchy hands?!"
"And I thought you're not afraid of anyone who would fight you?" Izuku taunted back with a grin. "Guess your point is proven wrong."
"FUCK YOU, DEKU! DIE YOU PIECE OF VILLAIN CRAP!" Bakugo roared in anger. This time, he was very pissed to the core.
As he launched at Izuku once more in a matter of seconds, this time, he used his left to use his explosion as a smokescreen to blind him. When Bakugo had the opportunity to grab him from behind, Izuku delivered another roundhouse kick that sent Bakugo to the other side of the destroyed building. Bakugo stood up quickly when Izuku began running at him as he delivered a right hook, but Izuku blocked it with his forearm as he attempted to right hook him back, but it was blocked Bakugo. Bakugo grinned thinking that he can beat Deku after all. But how wrong he was. He was confused as Izuku cocked his head back, and delivered a hard headbutt that made the explosive pomeranian daze for a moment. Then, before Izuku could attack him again, he was blasted away by Bakugo.
"The stinging! It's gone, but I can still feel a bit of it, but still!" Izuku thought as he quickly summoned another set of Clubs.
"Finally, your Quirk's back! Come on, nerd! Fight me by just using your stupid Quirk!" Bakugo roared in anger, demanding him to do it. "But even if you use the same cheap trick, it's never gonna put me down! You're still below me!"
"No. Not anymore, Bakugo. I trained for ten years for this special move!" Izuku said bravely as he stood his ground, with his arms crossed and armed with his charged yellow Clubs.
"Tch! You're so dead, Deku!" Bakugo launched himself once more, this time, even faster than before as he is getting faster.
"Card Shark!" Izuku called out the move, as he threw a single charged club from his left that flashed so much, it blinded Bakugo as he fell on the ground. Then, Izuku threw at least ten overly charged Clubs from his right to the floor that released a massive energy wave that knocked Bakugo off, which sent him flying to the wall.
As an alarm was set off, All Might announced the winner. "Time set! And the winner of the first round is… The heroes!"
AAAAAA
After the USJ attack, UA still resumed its daily activities as it were, since the situation has been completely dealt with thanks to 1A, making them a target of all classes and departments instead of getting the usual thanks. Eventually, a few days passed, and the annual Sports Festival has already begun. Luckily, these UA students trained hard to do well.
"And the first two who were able to outmatch everyone in the Obstacle Race are none other than Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo, who are on edge to win, even if they're in the same class!" Present Mic announced, "Talk about a friendly competition from your students, eh Eraserhead!?"
"Likely…" Aizawa, his words muffled from the bandages after the USJ incident, replied back. "But these two won't know that Midoriya would be able to win this. No doubt."
"We'll see about that first! After all, they are the only two who…" then, a large explosion was heard as it got Present Mic's attention. "What's this?! Folks, there has been a surprising plot twist! The son of the infamous villain Jack of Hearts, Izuku Midoriya, just arrived between our first two 1A runner ups!"
Indeed, Izuku managed to get past Bakugo and Shoto at high speed, as he kept throwing numerous charged Clubs to boost himself while riding a piece of the zero-pointers, which is covered with Diamond cards' power to make it durable and prevent it from being destroyed.
"DEKU!" Bakugo roared as he bursted his way to catch up to Izuku. "GET BACK WITH THE REST OF THE EXTRAS, YOU VILLAIN SCUM!"
Ignoring him, Izuku manifested fifteen charged Clubs as he threw it behind him, which caused it to fly off like a rocket. Eventually, because of what he did, it managed to make him win first place
"Ladies and gentlemen! Our first winner of the first event of the Sports Festival is Izuku Midoriya!" The crowd cheered as Izuku smiled. Meanwhile, Bakugo growled in a fit of anger, remembering that if he ever attacked Izuku, he would be disqualified.
AAAAAA
After the Cavalry Battle, Izuku still remained on the top, thanks to his quick wits and proper and fair use of his Quirk throughout the entire thing. Most students think he is cheating, some students thought that he really is keeping his word to play fair to prove that he is nothing like his father, and some just wanna kick this card boy's ass to win.
As everyone proceeded to the Battle Tournament, Izuku was called in next as he is surprised that he will be fighting off Shoto Todoroki, a classmate he knows who's known for being quiet and for having a two-in-one Quirk.
"I already told you earlier! My ice will only make me win this tournament!" Shoto yelled to get Izuku's attention, whose legs are frozen as the card master is getting exhausted from the zero temperature. "After all, the lowered temperatures of my Quirk is making you feel slower and slower."
Izuku managed to create four Clubs that destroyed the ice from his legs, freeing him. "Sorry, Todoroki. But if you're just going to use your ice and ignore your fire, it only just makes you weaker. It's your Quirk! Not his!" Izuku's words rang Shoto's mind, and it gave the half-and-half boy a calling.
"You're right…" Shoto smiled as his left side went ablaze. "For the son of a villain, you have, your words managed to touch me." Shoto then proceeds to use both of his Quirks to deal with Izuku,
However, during the final clash of the two, as Shoto's large ices were summoned to collide with Izuku, the latter blasts the ices with his Card Shark ability (minus the flashbang part) into chunks of pieces.
As Shoto uses his flames to heat and almost melt the ice, he blasts his fire to create a powerful wind blast to send Izuku. The blast went into motion, as the destroyed the cement pillars Cementoss created to stop the boys from killing each other.
As the smoke slowly cleared, the crowd, his classmates, and basically everyone waited to see what happened to Izuku. Once the smoke was gone, a turtle-shaped shield appeared in front of everyone, as Izuku came out of it, causing them to cheer.
"What?! B-But…" Shoto was at a loss for words. That attack was supposed to beat him to oblivion. "But how did you…"
"My Diamonds are so durable, they can withstand anything in an instant. But… they do get heavy after." he chuckled. "Look at the bright side, at least I managed to let you use your fire. You own it, so it's your Quirk, not his." he repeated.
Before Shoto could even attack Izuku again, Izuku quickly manifested a ten Spades and an overcharged Club on both hands. He combined together, which created an glowing bomb that
"Good thing I managed to learn this technique for a week!" Izuku said as he yelled. "Card Shuffle Style: Iron Grenade!"
As Izuku threw it, Shoto's Quirk activated as his ice and fire just surrounded his entire body. While the bomb was still flying in mid-air, Izuku clapped his hands together just once, the bomb exploded, which sent Shoto flying out of the area.
"Todoroki is unable to move! The winner is Midoriya!" Midnight declared as the crowd cheered. However, instead of walking away, Izuku walked to Shoto and reached a hand to him.
"Need a hand?" Izuku asked kindly with a flashing smile. Since he was the only one who managed to break his mind to use his fire for once, Shoto just accepted it without any expression as always.
"Thank you…" he mumbled, as Izuku just chuckled lightly.
"No problem. You did well, though. I'm impressed." Izuku commented.
AAAAAA
At the end of the Sports Festival just after two days, Izuku was declared the winner. Not only his Quirk is what made him the winner that managed to beat the challenges at ease, it was also his heroic nature that made him an MVP, which the judges approved.
In a bar somewhere in Hosu City, a man wearing a black and red suit is sitting in the bar, watching the TV from his stool as he smiles at the green-haired boy getting rewarded. The entire thing has been a recorded livestream due to how demanding it is for everyone to watch.
"That's it, Izuku. Prove to them that you're not like me." he sighed as he looked at his whiskey. "A terrible father… and a villain that almost made your dreams bleak..."
"I wouldn't say that to begin with, Hisashi." a voice called his attention. "Or is it just Jack of Hearts to you now these days?"
The man, named Hisashi, turned around to see a blonde haired man in a suit and an animal of unknown origin, but it is a mix of a cat, dog, bear… Either way, it's impossible to tell.
"Toshinori? Nezu?" Hisashi was surprised to see them. "What are you two doing here? I haven't done anything in the last five months."
"We know. We just want to ask you something in exchange for having a normal life again." Nezu said, getting straight to the point.
"What do you want from me?"
"Hisashi, I think you're familiar that your son is studying at UA and his Quirk is improving, and evolving, already." All Might said. "We were wondering if you are willing to train him to use his powers properly in his first internship program, in exchange for letting you live normally like a free man. What do you say?"
It was a tempting offer for most criminals like him. But one difference is that it's all about Izuku, the only child of Hisashi he would love and protect. After all, like most fathers, they would do everything for their kid.
"I'll do it." Hisashi accepted. "If it means to make my son a hero and not a villain like, I'll help him out."
"Excellent! Meet us tomorrow and we'll give you a place to let your son meet you." Nezu said. "I know you'll be able to change your own mind."
"This is just about my son, not for my selfish needs." Hisashi sternly stated. "I'll do everything to let the world prove he isn't a villain like his old man."
"Dad?" Izuku was shocked and in disbelief to see him. "What are you doing here in UA?! You're gonna get arrested!"
"Don't worry, Izuku. Your principal and teacher made a tempting offer to help me help you." Hisashi said. "For your internship, I'm going to teach you everything about your Quirk. What do ya say? Up for the challenge, son?!" He smiled enthusiastically.
"What?" his son couldn't bear to process everything that's just happening to him right now.
So far, this is how far I'm going with my one-shots. I wanted to follow the format of GreyTail's A What If book. But, I'm not really trying to copy him, this is how I do one-shot story ideas. Plus, it's also my first time writing a one-shot series of my own.
Also, just want to put in the super moves on Izuku's Mystic Card Quirk, mainly for the Card Shuffle Style:
Royal Grand Excalibur - twenty five Diamonds plus twenty-five Spades equals a BFG sword.
Heartbreaker - mixing one Heart and one Club, it creates an orange card that, once thrown at a target, will give them slight heart complications that will stun them for fifteen minutes.
Meteor Shower - Mixing a set of mixed Diamonds and Clubs then tossing them all into the air, it can act as a devastating rain of energized shards that acts like a bomber plane would do.
Autoheal - LIke Heartbreaker, but instead of one Heart, five to eight hearts are needed and one overcharged Club. It'll act as a blast radius that can heal anyone in an instant.
Thanks for reading the first chapter. Let me know how it is, and any criticism is valid. Just don't go too far or whatever. Stay safe and see you next time.
Also updates happen every bi-weekly, around weekends or Monday.
