A/N: Hi guys! Welcome back. I'm on vacation from work until tomorrow, so I've been able to get a few chapters written for our reading pleasure. This chapter is going to introduce multi-POVs versus one POV per chapter. Before we dive in, we got some new reviews!

"Ashley Barbosa: Whoa, okay, so I have a question, if Aang's gonna in a mission to restore his avatar state, so it will be in the spirit world? Continue as soon as possible, oh and great job!"

Ashley, I would LOVE to answer your question but one – wouldn't that take away the fun of the story if I did? And two, I don't really think I know the answer myself! I'm trying to flow with the story from the OG, but also trying to put my own stamp on it. Let's see where it goes together!

"Aliyaallen3635: Wow your story is really emotional, i love how you are capturing the emotions of the characters. Great job!"

Thank you Aliyaallen3635! I'm so happy you've enjoyed it so far! I hope you enjoy Chapter Four just as much!

Enjoy my friends!

CHAPTER FOUR: KATARA

I hate this Fire Nation ship. I'm in Aang's room, it's time for a healing session for him, and with the help of Sokka, Aang is on his side to give me easier access to the wound on his back. When I'm healing Aang, I feel the water tug and pull at this block within him, and it causes my mind to drift to all the things we've been through since I met this boy.

I catch myself thinking about that day, and that troublemaker smirk Aang flashed at me when he introduced himself after he sneezed and flew ten feet in the air. I giggle quietly, "Wow. That was a day I'm surely never going to forg–" and I freeze. My eyes flick up to Aang's face, and I almost think I'm going crazy, but before I can dismiss the notion entirely, it happens again.

His tattoos, they flicker a faint blue glow – the Avatar State, maybe? I bend the water back into my pouch. I'm about to run and go get Sokka, but I hear, "Broken… Fix… Roku…" and I feel a sense of an emotion begin to blossom. I begin to hope again.

"Sokka! Come here, quickly," I yell. I hear commotion above me, on the main deck, and then it quickly turns into hushed voices coming down the hall. The door to Aang's room opens slowly, and Sokka pops his head in, along with Toph and Suki. I look at them and each of their eyes flash from where I'm sitting to Aang's face.

Sokka is the first to speak up, "Katara, is everything okay? What's going on?" I gesture to each of them to come further into the room and sit down. I don't know where to begin, I feel butterflies in my stomach and I contemplate not telling them. I don't want to get their hopes up… No. They deserve to know.

"Come on, Sugar Queen, the suspense is killing me," Toph groans. Suki smiles, and Sokka elbows Toph in the ribs. I take a deep breath and plunge into the story.

AANG

I thought I knew what I'd have to do to fix this. Guru Patik told me I'd have to let go of my Earthly ties to master the Avatar State, so that is what I am – no, was prepared to do. Before I could get to the end of the walkway, it shattered underneath me, and I was thrown into a… memory, maybe? I saw Avatar Roku, the Avatar before me, confront Fire Lord Sozin. What does this mean? I wish Sokka were here, he's always the plan guy.

I'm not falling anymore, and the blue hue has disappeared. I notice my surroundings and I am met with a feeling of comfort. I recognize where I am, it's Kyoshi Island. Out of the blue, a strong gust of wind forms into a tornado spiral right in front of me, but it does not last long. When the winds die down, I see her. "Avatar Kyoshi… Hello," I say.

She looks down on me, and responds, "I created Kyoshi Island in order to protect my people from Chin the Conqueror. Your travels, Avatar, have since disturbed that peace and now you must see the consequences of your choices." Kyoshi nods to her animal guide, the fox known as a Knowledge Seeker. She looks back at me and gestures for me to kneel, so I do. The fox approaches me, raises its paw to my chest, and images flash through my brain.

I see people crying, houses in shambles and on fire, loved ones killed, and a brewing resentment and anger within the hearts of the people on Kyoshi Island. I see the Kyoshi Warriors fighting with their backs against the wall, I see Suki being taken by Fire Nation soldiers in chains, and her comrades screaming her name. The images move so quickly that it almost makes me dizzy, but once they are done, I peer up at Avatar Kyoshi.

"The pain… The people, they have been uninvolved with this war for so long, and by extending a hand to me and my friends… I brought them pain and suffering," I say and look down at my hands.

"Look at me, Aang," the sound of my name from Kyoshi startles me, "The journey of the Avatar is a rough road. Pain is a given, and so is sacrifice. That is why you are walking the path you are on now, restoring your connection to Roku, myself and each of your past lives. You are smart, young Avatar, have you not connected what Roku has shown you to what I have?"

I take a moment to think. "Roku showed me a confrontation between him and Sozin, a memory before the war. You have shown me a consequence of my action after the war… The walkway, that was from the Guru! These trials, there in relation to the Chakras, right?!" I say excitedly. Avatar Kyoshi smiles.

"Correct young one, through Roku you learned about his Air chakra. Through his love for his friend, he was blind to the direction Sozin was going and therefore had played a part in being unable to prevent this war that plagues us now. That is his greatest shame. Through me, you have learned about my Earth chakra," Kyoshi explains, "The Earth chakra deals directly with survival and fear. You must remember, as the Avatar, your decisions affect those two emotions for citizens of every nation. Remember Kyoshi Island."

KATARA

"So, Katara, what does that mean?" asks Suki. I look at her and can tell she's reigning in her ideas in her head as to when Aang will wake up. I shrug my shoulders in response.

"Honestly, Suki, I don't know. Ever since that day in Ba Sing Se, I haven't known. All I can tell you is that I saw a response today," I say, "I don't know when he'll wake up but I hope it's soon." I look at Sokka and we lock eyes. As much as he annoys me sometimes, I can't help but love my brother. An understanding passes between us, and he gets up.

"Alright guys! Well as fun and as interesting as it is, we need to let Mr. Sleepy Head get his beauty rest so he can come back full force before this big, scary comet comes. And I need food. Suki, let's go to the kitchen, hopefully this place has some meat left onboard," Sokka says sarcastically. Sukki smiles and shakes her head, Sokka leaves the room, shortly after so does Toph. Sukki pauses at the door for a moment and looks back at me.

She steps away from the door and gives me a hug. "You're doing great, Katara. He'll wake up soon, I know it, and maybe then you can tell him how you feel," she whispers in my ear. Suki pulls away from our embrace, walks out the door, and closes it behind her. I realize I'm blushing, and I turn back to Aang. How do I feel…?
