Chapter 10
Steve Trevor had a headache that was pounding, either from stress or lack of food. That's why he went by the back door of the Stark Mansion, he knew that the kitchen kept some strong pain medication there. He noticed that the pot on the stove was going to boil over so he turned off the stove, got his meds and finished the mac and cheese in the silent, almost calm and peaceful kitchen. Clearly he was more hungry then he thought as he ate most of the pan. Becca's recipe was almost as good as his mom's was.
He snagged a chilled bottle of water from the fridge as he walked towards the raised voices he hear near Bucky's recovery room too concerned to nap which considering the month he had helping everyone take down HYDRA. He still hadn't seen Diana but he had talked to her over the phone. His pulse quickened at the thought of seeing her seeing him, the real him again.
Stealthy Trevor came and leaned against the wall as he watched Steve and Tony arguing, voices slowly rising more, sipping his water slowly, he turned his head towards Bucky's room, he thought he recognized that song. Mademoiselle from Armentieres, he believe it was called, his eyebrows rising as he listened to the lyrics. Those were not the lyrics he learned.
"That song was respected once. When did it get twisted so badly?!" Trevor exclaimed loudly enough to distract his nephew and Tony from whatever they were arguing about.
Steve looked up at the sound of his 'uncle's voice and had to grin despite the cold look in Tony's eyes. "War of course. You probably had some songs that were respectable in your age but the boys overseas needed a little entertainment."
"Don't remind me." Trevor grimaced at some of the lyrics that were invented back in his day. "What's going on?"
Tony turned and glared at Uncle Trevor as Tony liked to call him or the other fossil. He flipped the closed door off as he spat out bitterly. "That man in there killed my parents. Steve didn't bother to even tell me over the past month. I only knew because I went in to see how it all was going and that murderer just cried and muttered something about how sorry he was over and over." He didn't mention that the scene of his parents death and his dad's friendship seemed to overlap in the room. He had to get out of the room before he broke something. In fact, Tony had his watch gantlet up and ready to fire at Steve before anyone could do anything. "Give me a reason not to fire this in your perfect teeth, friend."
But before Steve even could speak, Diana's whip tightly wrapped around the captain and Steve blurted out the truth, "I know I hurt you, Tony. I guess I thought by not telling you about your parents I was sparing you, but I can see now that I was really sparing myself, and I'm sorry. I've been on my own besides Bucky since I was 18. I never really fit in anywhere, even in the army. My faith's in people, I guess. Individuals. And I'm happy to say that, for the most part, they haven't let me down. Which is why I can't let them down either. But I did by hiding your parents murderer from you. I think I hid what learned because I didn't want to let you down and I did. I'm sorry. I"
Steve was interrupted by a slow clapping sound by Loki who looked completely exhausted as he leaned on the door to where his mother and Napi were still monitoring the now sleeping man. "Oh such drama. If you want to go in and kill Barnes, he wouldn't mind. In fact, he'll welcome it. Gladly. At the moment I wouldn't go in because he's too busy puking up his guts for the thousands time or he was when I left a few minute earlier."
Before anyone could say or do anything, the door opened again and the Queen of Asgard took her son's arm. "Time to go home." She nodded political to the still frozen group of people and exchanged a smile with Diana who was winding up her lasso. Napi went with them. He was curious about Asgard.
Tony grind his teeth so hard that they squeaked, but lowered his watch gantlet when Trevor's eyes locked onto Diana. He found himself trying to sneak out of the room as Diana and Trevor melted together in a very passionate embrace, one that, yep even had Captain Perfect's face glow bright red when Tony realized that Steve was right behind him, breathing heavily in either embarrassment or something else and also wanted to get the heck out of there. The tabloids would have a field day with that picture.
Tony and Steve's friendship never totally recovered from that but they did apologize or at least Steve did enough that they could still have a good working relationship.
A few weeks later. 'This is how the world goes to pieces. Literally.' Trevor thought as he helped the civilizes of Sokovia get to safety during the fight between Ultron, Diana and the Avengers. He blinked and suddenly he was on a S.H.I.E.L.D. 'lifeboat' as a red blur and a silver blur races to save as many people as they could. The red blur was Barry Allen.
The Flash had ran so fast in his race against Superman. he landed in another reality all together. He arrived in time to save a fellow speedster from death. At the moment he and Pietro were trying to save as many people as they could. Barry was slightly faster then Pietro and he kept an eye on his fellow speedster so he could learn how to move faster. Barry didn't want anyone else to die. He didn't exactly understand what was happening but if he could save at least one person then it'll be worth it.
Trevor's relief was felt when Ultron was finally destroyed and he dozed on Diana, not caring who saw.
"I'm sorry Tony. I wish you didn't feel like you had to build something to protect earth from unworldly threats, but I'm glad that we got Vision out of it. What did Wanda show you that scared you so badly that you made Ultron?" Steve asked quietly to distract himself from his jealously of his Uncle Trevor's relationship with Diana as they sat across from them. He missed Peggy so much.
"Destruction. If you thought Loki was bad, then this Thanos that he had talked about is worse. I don't want our planet to fall." Tony and Steve somehow got back into a semi-personal relationship but they were never as close as they were.
"Wanda showed me that don't know what to do without being a soldier. Ugh honestly you too?"
Tony had to laugh at the look on Steve's face when he caught sight of Barnes and Nat making out in a quiet corner. Apparently they did know each other back in the day and now were as thick as thieves. Steve was happy for Bucky but was annoyed at rubbing it in his face at almost every change he could get.
"You know you could always be kissey face with Sharon." Tony had to tease Steve as he looked a little green as he finally put two and two together that his only romantic relationships were with Carter women a few weeks back. Steve was just glad that Tony could joke with him again.

Steve grinned as Okoye fell silent at the other unexpected people who came off the jet. When Uncle Trevor left with Diana to go to his universe by the Barry Allen express after the events of Sokovia, he told Steve that he ever needed help with this Thanos character, drop him a line.
Thanos didn't have a chance to destroy Thor's people as he was beaten to retreat by the arrival of some of the Justice League as the other members had landed on Earth.
With this unexpected help, the war against Thanos went very differently. Or as Doctor Strange somehow found himself with Dr. Fate's helmet when it came to him, life became a little more tricky.

Diana was not impressed by this version of "Zeus," in fact he was down right, when Zeus tore off Thor's clothes, and demanded to, un father like. Diana's eyes narrowed as her so-called father kept talking. He clearly didn't recognize her since it seemed that this Zeus didn't father a child with the Amazon Queen.
When he started to play around with his 'thunderbolt' Diana had enough and at the second time he threw it up in the air she guided to her hand, landing in a crouch next to Thor who muttered, "what took you so long?"
Diana didn't reply but stood as her father tried and failed to get thunderbolt back from her, or in reality, little Zeus Rogers Trevor who grabbed it giggling and started to use it as a teething ring. Having his father getting blood from his one remaining blood relative Steve Rogers probably helped in that part.
Zeus was staring at her or rather her son who was surprisingly helpful in the fight, whacking anyone with his grandfather's thunderbolt when anyone tried to grab it or who came near Diana and saving Kurg's life in the process.
When all their enemies were defeated and they were speeding away on the goat cart, little Zeus threw the thunderbolt back to his grandfather, a little thunderbolt in his fists. Thankfully he didn't realize he killed his 'grandfather.' Diana just sighed and prayed that she'll see the last of that side of her family. Little did she know that Hercules was around.
Or when the thunderbolt came towards Zeus, the dots clicked in his head and he fainted at the thought of a grandchild.
