"Ugh, what hit me?" I asked.

Opening my eyes after I did.

I then proceeded to immediately close them due to the light shining into them when I opened them. Along with the mind numbing headache I received from opening them up.

'Okay. Let's not do that again.' I thought.

"If you open your eyes slowly, then you'll be able to avoid the pain you just experienced as they will be able to adjust to the light."

"Right." I replied.

I then slowly opened my eyes unlike before, and although I felt a bit a throb in my head it was nothing compared to before when I previously tried to open my eyes.

Before I knew it my eyes were fully open.

Allowing me to finally take in my surroundings.

I am lying in a bed in an unfamiliar room, and Irene Belserion is sitting in a chair right next to bed watching my every move.

Turning my head slowly in her direction I looked at her. Careful not to make any sudden movements. Since if what I remember about this woman from the Fairy Tal series is true then she has a few screws lose and I'd rather not get in her bad side.

Now staring at Irene, and she staring back at me, I was at a loss about what to do or say.

I mean, what is the right move when you're face-to-face with a character that you once simply knew as fiction? As well as one you saw from the rule 34 perspective many many times.

What. Don't judge me.

Irene was, no is hot and was one of my favorite waifu despite her personality. So as a red-blooded man, and a man of culture, I feel no shame in admitting I looked at her in that way.

Mostly.

Now that I am actually in front of Irene I can't help but apologize to her in my head for looking at her in that way. Which is something she must never know I did.

Lest I find my second life ended by her personally.

Irene and I continued simply staring at each other for a few more seconds, before she broke our impromptu contest.

Reaching out with her left hand she placed it against my chest.

"Huh?" I questioned. Confused by Irene's action.

"Don't worry." She replied.

Then before I could do or say anything else my body was suddenly enveloped by a slight glow. Which lasted for a few seconds before it dissipated.

Once it did so Irene removed her hand from my chest and nodded. "Alright, your life doesn't seem to be in any danger. It seems that stray devil didn't do any serious harm to you before you awakened your sacred gear." She spoke.

Setting off alarm bells in my mind.

For there is only one world I know that has the terms 'stray devil' and 'sacred gear' in it.

High School DxD.

A borderline hentai anime filled with devils, angels, fallen angels, gods, and other beings. Where the protagonist gains immense power-ups by groping breasts and other parts of women's bodies.

Going by what Irene just said that is the world I am in.

Yet Irene Belserion was never in DxD.

So that means that is is likely some strange crossover world or something like I read about in those fanfictions in my previous life.

'Just fucking great.' I sarcastically thought.

The world of DxD was already dangerous enough with beings like Rizevim and Trihexa in it. Now it looks like I have to worry about threats from other anime series thrown into the mix.

Sighing I resisted the urge to pull at my hair and shout at the top of my lungs.

"That's quite the sad sigh coming from a person who just survived an encounter with a stray devil without any training whatsoever. Most people in your position would be proud of the accomplishment you now possess young..." Irene trailed off.

"Lancelot." I replied. "My name is Lancelot Du Lac. Nice to meet you and thank you for saving me Ms..."

"Irene. Irene Belserion." She spoke. "And it was no trouble at all. Especially since it's been a while since I've encountered something so interesting. So thank you for alleviating my boredom Lancelot." Irene explained.

Looking at me with a piercing and inquisitive gaze, with a slight grin on her face.

I don't know why but I felt a sense of danger seeing that grin on Irene's face. So when she dropped it I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Sure." I replied. "So, stray devils and sacred gears, what's that all about Ms. Irene?" I asked.

I mean I know what they're all about, but I definitely think its safer to ask Irene for clarification. Just so she doesn't suspect I know more than I am telling her.

"I see. So you truly know nothing at all. Despite the power you posses and your heritage." Irene spoke.

"My heritage?" I questioned. Not understanding what Irene meant by that.

"Yes, your heritage." Irene replied. Beginning to look at me with that same piercing gaze from earlier. "You see my young Lancelot, there are people in this world who are descendant from the heroes in legends and you are one of them. A direct descendant of Lancelot Du Lac himself." She revealed to me.

Shocking me to my core.

I mean I knew there was a reason I looked like Lancelot and shared the same name with him, but to think I would end up reincarnating as a direct descendant of that knight.

This is crazy.

"This is crazy." I suddenly spoke out loud.

"Crazy or not it is the truth young Lancelot." Irene bluntly spoke.

She then gave me a few minutes to process and recover, before continuing her explanation on the supernatural world. Irene's explanation including information pertaining to the 'Great War', more in-depth details about sacred gears and their wielders, and about some of the various factions populating the supernatural world.

All while Irene talked I simply nodded my head and listened. Soaking up all she chose to share. Since what Irene is telling me right now could be the very difference between for me in regards to life or death someday.

Because whether I like it or not I am part of the supernatural world of the DxD universe.

I mean not only am I direct descendant of thee Lancelot Du Lac, but I also possess a sacred gear. So even if I do nothing more stray devils, and even regular devils, along with groups like the future Hero faction will come after me and try and get me to join them. By force is necessary I'm sure.

And since I have no intention of being forced to do anything by anybody my only choice is to dive into the supernatural world head first and learn to swim.

For there is no way I will ever let anyone take away from freedom to chose.

Eventually Irene finished her explanation about the supernatural world.

"Thank you for sharing all that with me Ms. Irene." I told her. "And if you don't mind me asking, how do you know all of that stuff?"

"I know it because I've been around a very long time." Irene replied. "I am a dragon after all." She casually revealed.

"A...dragon." I said.

Irene nodded her head. "Yes, a dragon." She casually replied.

Irene then raised up her left arm in front of my face and the second after she did so her arm grew scales and claws, releasing a wave of energy in the process.

A wave of energy that caused my heart to start pounding against my chest. Making it heard for me to breathe.

"Ms...Irene." I struggled to say.

"Oh, right. Sorry." Irene said. She then turned her her arm back into its completely human form. "I forget most humans can't handle the pressure I release when I shift into my dragon form. Especially a weak little boy like you."

Which caused me slight emotional damage given my mental age, but Irene is right.

At the moment I am weak. Plain and simple.

A fact with I hope, no I need to change as quickly as possible. My very life will depend on it.

"It's okay." I spoke, after the pressure Irene began releasing wore off. "Really it is." I spoke once more. I then looked Irene in the eye. "So Ms. Irene, what happens now?"

"If you wish I can send you back to your life in the human world." Irene said. "But judging by that look in your eyes I can tell that is not what you wish."

"It is not." I replied. "The truth is I wish for you to train me Ms. Irene. Please!" I spoke. Bowing my head in her direction.

For at the moment Irene is the only true and safe connection I have to the supernatural world.

Well actually I'm not sure if that's true or not yet.

Irene may very well not be a safe connection for me in the slightest. She may very well be out to destroy me.

But even so, that's a chance I'm willing to take if it means I'll be able to get stronger.

Since what is life without a bit of risk?

Irene didn't respond to my request.

Instead she just started lightly chuckling. Then before I knew it she took my cheeks in her hands and lifted my head up. When she did I opened my eyes and found myself looking directly into hers.

Irene's eyes filled with power and age.

"My, how bold of one so young to make a request of a dragon like myself. You know if I wanted to I could end your life without even trying right?" Irene rhetorically asked.

"I do." I replied. "But if you wanted me dead you simply would've left me in the park earlier or killed me in my sleep. So I am betting you don't want to me dead. But as for training me I know that is a choice only you can make."

"You are right." Irene replied. "That is a choice only I can make." She purred.

This sending a shiver up my spine.

"So Ms. Irene, what is your answer?" I asked.

"My answer is yes." She replied.

"Really? No, I mean thank you. Thank you." I happily spoke. I then moved to hug Irene.

Suddenly finding my head breasted into her large breasts.

This sent a blush across my face.

Quickly removing my head from her breasts I bowed it in Irene's direction. "I apologize. Forgive me." I said.

"Fufu, my it's quite alright." Irene replied. "In fact I rather liked it." She said.

When she did I lifted up my head and looked at Irene in shock.

Though that didn't last long before Irene grabbed my head and pressed it into her breasts.

"Mhmm!" I cried. Unable to form coherent words, or breath.

But no matter how much I struggled for freedom Irene would not release her grip on me.

Damn dragon strength!

"Oh, looks like someone's happy." Irene said.

I mean I am, but maybe you could let me up before I suffocate to death!

I take back what I said earlier, maybe Irene is trying to kill me after all.

Eventually Irene did release Lancelot from her grip, and allowed him to come up for air.

After she did the dragon woman allowed him to catch his breath.

Then after Lancelot did this Irene took him out of the room he was in, which she informed him would now be his since she had taken him as her apprentice, and began showing him around.

"This is my home." Irene said as the two walked around. "And now that you are my student, it is yours as well." She explained.

"Understood." Lancelot replied as the pair entered the kitchen. "And you for agreeing to train me once again. I truly appreciate it Ms. Irene." He spoke to her.

"Once more it is no problem." Irene replied. "Also, no need to call me Ms. Irene. Irene will do just fine." She explained.

"But-"

"-No buts." Irene immediately spoke. Giving Lancelot the same piercing gaze from earlier.

Faced with this gaze he ended up crumbly quickly.

"Ok. Irene." Lancelot said.

"Fufu, good boy. You're learning already." Irene mused. Giving Lancelot a head pat.

An action which he grumbled at, but let Irene do what she wanted.

Since right now Lancelot knew he couldn't stop her even if she wanted to.

Hell, he knew he might not even be able to stop her once he started training in earnest. Since Lancelot is sure Irene is an old dragon.

Of course he's not sure how old, and he's not going to ask, since he knows doing so would be a death sentence.

But back to the point.

Lancelot knows Irene is powerful.

So instead of stopping her antics he's just going to go along with them.

Soon Irene stopped patting Lancelot's head.

Once she did so the the pair continued the tour of Irene's house. A tour which eventually lead outside. Allowing Lancelot to see Irene's house was not in the city but deep in a forest.

Standing outside Lancelot spun around in a quick circle, taking in his new surroundings. "Amazing." He mused.

"I know. That is one of the reasons I placed my home here in the first place." Irene said. "I have always loved nature."

"I see." Lancelot mused. "But wait, if that's the case then why were you in the city earlier?" He asked.

"Why to buy clothing and groceries of course." Irene spoke. "Just because I like living in the forest doesn't mean I don't appreciate the amenities of the modern world humans have created."

"Cool." Lancelot replied.

Happy he and Irene wouldn't be surviving by hunting and killing their own food or anything along those lines.

After spending a few minutes outside Irene and Lancelot returned to the inside of the house, where Irene showed the young reincarnated the second floor.

Then after that the tour came to an end.

Once it did Irene made Lancelot some dinner, and he headed straight to bed. For he was tired.

As Lancelot headed off to dreamland Irene entered her own room and changed into some pajamas. After doing so she went to sit in a chair by her bedroom window and began looking out of it toward the night sky. Where a full moon was hanging.

While doing this Irene couldn't help but smile, her body shivering in delight as she thought of Lancelot.

'To think I would stumble upon such a find. So young, and yet so much potential.' Irene thought.

Her mind drifting to how powerful Lancelot would become in the future.

For dragons were attracted to power, and that is the true reason Irene saved Lancelot.

Though Lancelot himself will not learn this for a while.

As for when he does, well that is for the future.
