The next morning Bruce woke up naked in Clarks bed with the man of steel sleeping next to him. Bruce didn't like to show affection but Clark made it a rule that Bruce had to get out of his comfort zone and say his emotions out loud before he agreed to get back together with him. There were a few more requirements that Bruce was going to have to meet. Personal therapy, journaling, and other mentally healthy things. Bruce was okay with that. He knew it was going to be hard to open up after being closed off for so many years but he would do anything for Clark.

Bruce moved closer to him and held his body. He scented him even though he knew Clark wouldn't be able to smell him or receive physical comfort from it. The soft nuzzling and rubbing woke Clark up. He smiled at Bruce and ran his fingers through the other mans hair. They laid quietly while everything around them faded away.

Clarks mind wandered back to his apology from the night before. He knew why he let so few people in. His world came crumbling down after losing his parents. He only had Alfred. The older man still gave Bruce the world- but he would have traded it all just to have his parents back. Even though they were gone he still loved them. He loved Alfred for raising him and becoming a second father. He loved Dick who lost his parents too. He didn't want the young boy to become as stone hearted as he was so he took him in as a son. He cared for Clark as a friend at first but then fell in love with him and now they became lovers. Clark smiled. That was 6 people who Bruce gave his whole heart to. Clark dropped his smile.

"Last night," he got Bruce's attention, "you said you had 6 people you love. Your parents, two, Dick and Alfred, four, and me, five. Who's the sixth?" He asked curiously. Bruce wasn't one to mess up. He even changed the number from 5 to 6 people. Bruce tensed. He moved away from Clark and got off the bed. "Bruce," he chided, "we just agreed that we would talk it out and not run away,". Bruce dug through his pants and pulled out his wallet. He took a glossy paper out and tossed the wallet on top of his clothes. He got back into the bed, but didn't get as close to Clark as he was before.

"Please don't feel obligated to do anything. I'm okay on my own if you want to-"

"Stop beating around the bush, bats," Clark huffed. Bruce handed it over. Clark looked at it but before he could even realize what it was Bruce spoke.

"I'm pregnant," he nervously held his stomach. Clark jerked his head to look at Bruce. He stared at him before looking at his belly. It was distended but he wouldn't have ever noticed if Bruce didn't say anything. He looked at the paper in his hand. It was a black and white silhouette of a pup. He recognized it as an ultrasound photo.

He stared at it, then at Bruce, then at it. He quickly covered his mouth in shock. He lost control of his senses for a brief moment before reeling it back in. But in that moment he heard Bruce's heart beat alongside another one. He listened again. There were two hearts next to him. He looked at the bump again and x-rayed to see the pup. He looked at Bruce and slightly moved his hand away from his face.

"You're… pregnant? You're serious?" He asked as if he didn't just see the pup for himself. Bruce nodded and tried to hide his worry on his face. Clark blinked a few times before his eyes rolled in the back of his head and he fell to the bed. Bruce was slightly alarmed. He hovered over Clark and checked his pulse. It was rapid but nothing worrying. Clark came to a few moments later. Bruce steadied him before leaving the room.

Clark watched him through the walls as he got a cup and filled it with water. His movements rocked the pup inside of him. He came back and got in the bed to hand Clark the cup. He took the cup and looked at the water. He tossed it to the floor and practically jumped on Bruce. He held him tight as his breath hitched. He pulled away, frightened.

"I didn't hurt you, did I?" He still held on to Bruce's biceps. Bruce let out a tiny smile. He shook his head. Clark let out a sigh of relief and pulled him back to his body much more gently this time. He closed his eyes and listened to the two hearts. So many thoughts ran through his head. He was elated, he was terrified, he was shocked, he was in love, he was slightly confused, and he felt stupid. But right now he didn't care about himself. He cared about Bruce and their pup.

"Holy cow," he whispered. Bruce let out a small snort.

"Even with that I still can't get the Boy Scout to swear,".

"Oh, Bruce," he chuckled.
