I've been sitting in Satoru and I's classroom for about and hour trying to do my assignment plan and look at our newest student's papers, Nobara Kugisaki. But this whole time i've been consumed with my thoughts. I can't stop thinking about Satoru. I wish that we could be more, but I know we can't. We have promises to keep after all.

Satoru left with Megumi about an hour ago to spar with him. He loves to push people to their limit. He always used to with me. I think it's mainly because he wants to surround himself with powerful people. But I think mostly it's because he likes to see the improvement.

Finally, Satoru bursts into the room with an annoyed Megumi in tow.

"Get you're nice clothes Naomi, we're going out!" Satoru announces.

"What? Why?" I ask.

"Megumi here has a birthday today." He tells me.

I roll my eyes and groan, "oh no, how could I have forgotten? I'm an idiot."

I get up grab him around the shoulders smiling, "want me to sing happy birthday?" I ask him teasingly.

He sighs, "please don't."

I laugh and let go of him, "really though, I'm sorry I forgot. I've been... distracted." I tell him seriously.

"It's fine, really. I was hoping you'd forget honestly." He tells me looking indifferent.

"Well at least let us take you out in town." Satoru says.

"No." Magumi answers simply.

"Awe, c'mon Megumi, stop being such a stick in the mud. I mean look at Naomi here. She used to be a real first grade party pooper, but she knows. Tell him I've never not had a fun time with you." He says.

"Weeellll..." I say and he shoots me a quick look.

"No, I'd rather not. What I want is a quiet night. You two go out." He tells us.

"And what, celebrate your birthday without you? Lame." I tell him.

"You won't hurt my feelings, really. Just go out and have fun. That's what I want." He tells us.

Satoru sighs, "fine, if Naomi was a branch in the mud when we first met then you're a tree. Have it your way." He says crossing his arms.

"Cool. Am I dismissed?" Megumi asks.

I nod and he walks off.

"Man, is he embarrassed of us or what?" I ask.

"Eh, probably just a phase." He says, "now, why don't we blow this popsicle stand and go out to eat. It's been a while." He tells me.

"I don't know, feels weird to go out without Megumi." I tell him.

"Well duh, we'll stop by his room later and bring him cake. He won't get off this easy." He tells me, "but first dinner. I'm starved."

I smirk, "alright, what'd you have in mind?" I ask.

"Well, there's a place I've been thinking about going to for a while. It's kinda formal, so dress nice, okay?" He says as we leave the room and head back to our rooms.

"What's the place called?" I ask.

"What's the fun in it if I tell you?" He says.

I roll my eyes and smile, "alright, fine. Surprise me then."

"Great, see you in twenty minutes." He says.

We have rooms right beside each other, so we both go to our rooms and close the door. We've been moved to the faculty building and given new rooms to live in. These rooms are much bigger, they're just apartments basically. They have a bedroom, a kitchen, bathroom, and living room area. All the basics, nothing fancy. Just how I like it.

I shower quickly and open my closet to find something fancy to wear, but with not much luck. I don't really own a lot of clothes in general, much less very nice ones. A lot of my stuff is comfortable clothes. But I spot one thing that I do have that's nice. The dress I bought all those years ago. The black one with the roses on the shoulder. Amazingly, I haven't changed much so it still fits. If anything, I've filled it out a lot better.

I put my black and white high top vans on and re-do my bun. That's one thing about me. Once I find something that works or that I like, I don't change it. I like what I like. So I kept the undercut look over the years, just changed the design once it grew out and was time for a trim.

I don't put on any make up. I'm not the girly type, and I especially don't like make up. It's hard for me to do it anyways since my skin is so sensitive, but I find that it's a waste of money, so I just wash my face and brush my teeth. I put a bit of perfume on and grab my phone, wallet, and keys and head out the door.

I walk over to Satoru's door and knock. Of course I'm ready before him. He always takes longer. Everything he does is perfect and precise. He yells for me to come in and so I do.

I don't see him when I enter, so I close the door behind me and sit on his couch in the living room. I open my phone up and look at all the unread messages from guys on tinder. I roll my eyes, cursing myself for not deleting the app. I keep meaning to, I just forget all the time. I dismiss the messages and start playing some stupid phone game I downloaded.

"Hey!" He says from his bathroom in the small hallway behind me, "what color tie do you think I should go with? Red or blue?" He asks.

"Let me see them." I tell him putting my phone down and standing up.

He walks in the room and my breath hitches. He looks so handsome. He still wears the blindfold of course, but he's in a suit, something i've never seen before. Now I'm glad I wore this dress, I would have felt way underdressed.

I'm waiting for him to show me the ties, but he's just standing there staring at me with his mouth slightly open.

"What?" I ask slightly embarrassed. I may not be dressed fancy enough, "this is the nicest thing I have. I don't really have any nice shoes either. I'm sorry, I should be more prepared." I tell him looking away.

He slowly walks over to me and grabs my chin gently, guiding my eyes back to his as he lowers his blindfold.

"Naomi, why do you always underestimate yourself?" He asks.

"What do you mean?" I say.

He smirks and shakes his head, "you never think highly of yourself. You always talk yourself down."

I shrug my shoulders and look away, "well then what do you think?"

"I think you look beautiful." He says in a low tone.

I blush hard and clear my throat as he lets go of my chin.

"So, let me see your ties." I tell him.

"Nope, I already know what color to go with." He says.

"What? Which one?" I ask.

He smiles, "red, to match the roses on your dress."

Once again, I blush and walks back in the bathroom briefly to do his tie. He comes back out and grabs his keys, wallet, and phone and looks to me.

"Ready?" He asks.

I nod, "ready."

We walk to his door and he locks it behind us. He stops me before we set off and offers out his arm to me.

"Grab my arm." He tells me.

"Really?" I ask unsure.

"Just do it dork. I won't bite, unless you ask." He says with a wink.

I roll my eyes and smirk. I take his arm and suddenly, we're in this extremely fancy restaurant. He teleported us, must be a special occasion for him to do that. It's the nicest place I've ever been in. The type that costs more than I could even imagine spending on a meal.

"Satoru, where are we?" I ask him amazed by the scenery around us.

"Only the nicest place in tokyo." He tells me.

I look back at him and his eyes are glowing. He must have his infinity up since we're in public. He's smiling at me in a way he's never done until the last few months.

"Why?" I ask unable to find words.

"I just wanted to do something nice for a change. We haven't been out to do anything in a while since we've been so busy, and I figured why not the best place for the best girl I know." He tells me.

I smile and a tear almost threatens to fall, "you didn't have to." I tell him.

"Oh come on already, we both know I won't take no for an answer." He says offering his arm up again. I take it and we walk to the host.

"Reservations for Satoru Gojo." He says.

"Right this way." She tells us.

We walk with her to a table that has a view of the whole city near the big fireplace in the back. Probably the nicest seats in the place.

"Oh wow." I tel him. I didn't know we were this high up.

"Yup. Like I said, only the best." He tells me.

We sit down and they take our drink order first.

Satoru and I get some of the best wine they had to offer.

"Well, what do you think?" Satoru asks.

"This is incredible. I mean look at that view." I say looking out to the city.

"Yeah, it's beautiful." Satoru agrees.

I look back to him excitedly, about to try to point out where I think Jujutsu High is, but he isn't looking at the city. He's looking at me, smiling.

I clear my throat and blush, looking back at the city, "where do you think Jujutsu High is."

He chuckles and looks over, "probably can't see it from here." He tells me.

I nod, "yeah, you're right."

The waiter comes back with our drinks and takes our order. I order a salmon and lobster dish and Satoru orders a steak. We sit and talk for a while, about various things. How Megumi is doing, the new student we'll be taking on, school lessons we need to plan. Our food comes out pretty quickly and it is plated beautifully.

"Wow, this looks incredible." I say.

"Ever had salmon and lobster?" He asks.

"No, never. This is a first." I tell him.

He smiles, "well what are we waiting for, let's dig in."

I cut into the salmon and take s bite. Instantly, my face relaxes and I close my eyes savoring the flavor.

"Wow. That is so good." I tell him.

He smiles, "I know right. Want to try my steak?" He asks.

"You haven't even eaten the first bite." I tell him.

"That's okay. I've had plenty of steak before. Here." He says cutting a piece off for me, "try this."

He gives me his fork and I carefully take the piece off and eat it. Somehow this was even better.

"Oh man." I say, "I should have gotten that." I tell him. He's smiling wide, "you snooze you lose."

We continue eating but we don't say much. Both of us are too absorbed in our food to speak. Once we finish, we sit there full and exhausted from eating too much.

"Man, ready to go? I don't think I could eat any more. Plus, we still have to grab Megumi's cake." He tells me.

I nod, "yeah, sounds good. We should order Megumi something though."

"Yeah, you're right." He tells me. Satoru orders him a big steak with a few sides to go.

He pays the bill, which was very expensive, and I take his arm again as he teleports us to the store. We pick out a cool cake with purple and grey icing patterns on it. Once he pays, he takes us to Megumi's room. When he knocks on the door, we hear Megumi groan.

"What?" We hear him say annoyed.

"Oh c'mon party pooper, open the door!" I yell teasingly to him.

We hear him sigh and walk to the door.

He opens the door and looks at Satoru's suit and my dress, "looks like you guys had fun."

"Yeah, it was nice." I say smiling at Satoru.

He smiles back and winks at me.

"Ugh, gross." He says like he's watching his parents kiss or something.

"Anyways, we brought you dinner and a cake." Satoru says.

He asks but his eyes widen as he sees us holding his food, the steak still hot and the cake still cold.

"Whoa, you guys didn't have to do this. Really." He tells us.

"Oh shut up. We aren't going to let you starve on your birthday." I tell him.

He smirks slightly and takes the food.

"Well thanks guys. I appreciate it." He tells us.

"Happy birthday Megumi." I tell him.

"Want us to come in and sing happy birthday while you blow the candles out?" Satoru asks.

"Nope." He says as he slams the door.

I sigh, "maybe we should have led with the singing."

"Probably." Satoru agrees, "well, we should get back."

I nod, "yeah."

We start walking to our apartments and he offers his arm again. I take it, but this time we don't teleport.

"We won't teleport?" I ask.

"Nah, I wanna enjoy this walk with you. Y'know, we'll take the scenic route." He says.

I smile, "alright."

We walk in silence to the apartments. My face hot as I'm holding his arm. It's strong feeling, like nothing could move him. I unconsciously squeeze his arm and he brings me closer to him as we near my door.

I unlock it and as always, take my shoes off and turn to him.

"I had a really good time tonight, thank you." I tell him.

He looks at me gently with his beautiful blue eyes, "anything for you."

We sit in silence for a moment, almost savoring this moment we have together. He looks at my dress one more time before standing closer and tracing the roses on the shoulder of my dress with the back of his finger.

"You looked beautiful tonight." He tells me.

My face grows even hotter, "thank you, you looked very handsome yourself."

He smirks, "oh I did?"

"Yes. Very much so." I tell him.

Our faces are mere inches apart now. His breath tickles my nose and lips. I want to lean into him so badly. I want to wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him. I want to show him how much I've loved him all this time. But I can't. I'm not what he needs. I'm only a burden to him.

"We should turn in." I tell him.

"Just before all the fun is starting? You really are a level one party pooper." He says in a low tone jokingly.

He moves even closer, our lips grazing slightly for a moment. If I moved at all, I'd kiss him. The heat rushes to my face, and he places his right hand on the door frame above my head. I shiver at how close we are.

"Satoru." I say breathlessly.

"Yes?" He answers taking his left thumb and rubbing it along my bottom lip until he is holding my cheek.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

He smiles a bit before answering, "what I should have done years ago."

I try to tell him we shouldn't do this. I try to stop this right where it is, tell him that we can't. But I don't. Instead, he places a warm soft kiss on my lips. I don't pull back, I don't reject it, instead I welcome it, putting my hands on his chest.

He brings his other hand down to the other cheek and is holding me now, deepening the kiss and showing me how he really feels. When we stop, we're out of breath, and I'm disappointed we didn't keep going. I need him close now. He's broken the barrier between us. There's no going back now.

"Why?" I ask.

He smirks, "you still don't see? Naomi, it's because i've admired and adored you for years. Everything you did, everything you are has captivated me all this time." He says.

I sit in silence, a tear forming in my eye. He wipes it away and smiles warmly, his blue eyes studying me, taking my breath away as always.

"It's not true what they say you know. That I don't have any weaknesses. I do. I have only one. And that's you. But you are not really my only weakness, but you are my strength. You give me the strength I need to be as powerful as I am. You are everything to me." He tells me.

I smile and another tear falls down.

"I kissed you because I have always loved you. From the moment I met you, I fell in love with you. And nothing will ever change my mind on that."
