Sam walked to Jack's room. He knocked on the door.

"Jack, it's me," he announced himself, "I just want to talk,". After a moment of silence the door creaked open. Jack peeked through. Sam smiled. Jack let him in. For some reason Jack was wearing the uniform.

Sam sat on his bed and looked at him.

"Looks good on you," he smiled. Jack nodded his head. "So... you got a job?" Jack nodded. Sam pushed his lips to the side in a slight frown. Suddenly Dean appeared leaning on the door frame.

"About time," he smiled, "we needed some extra cash. You look stupid but I'm proud of you,". Jack beamed.

"But... why now?" Sam pushed. Jack sighed.

"I was looking at pup items," he shrugged, "They're really expensive. I know we might not need them but... I thought that I could help out by getting a real job," Deans smile turned sour immediately.

"Jack," Sam smiled sweetly, "why would you want a job for pup items? We'll find the money for the pup. We always do. You don't need to work,".

"Yeah you shouldn't do that for me," Dean seemed more annoyed than comforting.

"I understand, but it would help. And I want to help. I don't want to just sit around and wait for the next credit card to come in,". Sam shared a look with Dean. Dean did not look happy.

"No." Dean growled. Jack frowned heavily.

"I don't care," he puffed up, "it's too late for your opinion,".

"It's not my opinion, you're not getting a job," Dean crossed his arms. Jack side eyed him.

"I don't need to get a job, I have one already," he pointed to the logo on his polo shirt. He smirked. Dean cocked his head, angry at his little shit.

"You are literally are the son of Lucifer, you're not working retail,".

"I have to start somewhere," Jack picked up his backpack, "maybe one day I'll be a manager,". Dean stomped up to him and lifted the boy up by the collar.

"Dean," Sam, who was quietly watching them fight the back and forth, spoke up, "I'd be good to have some clean money coming in,". Dean turned his head and gave his brother a stern look. He shook his head, quietly telling him to stay out of it.

"Well, my first shift is tomorrow. So I should be getting ready," he pulled himself free from Deans grip. He opened his backpack on his bed and started taking out his hunting supplies. Sam got up and helped him moving his brother out of the way. Dean huffed and left the room. They quietly unpacked his backpack for a few minutes before Jack stopped and stared straight ahead at nothing.

"Did I do something wrong again?" Jack spoke up. He and Dean had a rough patch when he was first born... and a while after too. He didn't want to stop being his friend. Sam shrugged.

"No," Sam shook his head, "you're being very generous to us. I just don't know why he suddenly flipped like that," Sam stopped to look at Jack. "But we'll figure it out,".

It was 8 at night. Sam walked to the kitchen to see Dean in the fridge, picking at an old rotisserie chicken. Sam sat at the counter watching him.

"Have you had any cavings?" Dean turned around, mouth full of meat.

"Nope, munchies". Sam nodded.

"You know you can use a plate like a normal person," he suggested. Dean shook his head.

"My week on dishes," he swallowed his food before answering. Dean turned around and leaned on the counter. Sam spoke up again.

"Hey, what's with you earlier?"

"What do you mean?" Dean blinked slowly.

"You seemed on board with Jack getting a job; then you suddenly flipped. What happened?" Deans body tensed up. He frowned and ran his tongue against his lips. His head shook slightly. He acted like he was going to say somethig but nothing came out.

"Dean," Sam trailed off. Dean scratched his head.

"I would be happy for him if... he was doing it for himself," he sighed deeply, "not for me,". Sam listened closely.

"What do you mean? He just wants to help with the pup,".

"But he shouldn't have to. He's a kid. He should be using that money to sneak off and buy beer or be going to the arcade," he paused and swallowed hard, "also just reminded me that I'm an omega. It makes me think that I need my pack to do everything for me because I'm too weak and too pregnant to do anything,". Sam let out a small laugh.

"I'm not in a pack with you," the mention of being in a pack with his own brother was gross.

"The camaraderie of a pack, not the other stuff you pervert," Dean finally cracked a smile.

"Dean," Jack came out of his hiding spot. Dean reeled back a little, "even if you were a pregnant beta, I would still have gotten the job. There's a lot of reasons why I took the job but the main one is because I care about you and the pup," he explained. Deans surprised face softened. He looked away and stretched.

"Guess I'm just getting too hormonal," He smiled at Jack.

"Just a little," Jack playfully teased. Dean walked up to the boy and ruffled his hair. " but I consider you both family so there's no way that we'd be in a pack,". Dean threw his hands up.

"The camaraderie!"
