Sam and Dean made it to the hospital without speaking to each other. They walked into the building as if it were a normal day with a normal visit. Sam checked them in and they were promptly moved to a screening room. They were left alone while the sonographer was being called in. Sam swallowed hard. He cleared his throat.
"Dean," he started, "I'm sorry, please just talk to me," he closed his eyes as he pleaded, "yell at me, hit me, call me a bitch. Just talk to me, okay! I wouldn't have ever outed you if I knew Cas didn't know. I read-" he licked his lips and looked around, "I read that closet omegas are outed by family members and I never wanted to do that- I want to prote-" he stopped himself from saying that again. "Dean please,".
"It's Cas's'," Dean spoked.
"What?" Sam asked.
The door opened and a man walked in. He greeted them. He looked between them. He looked at his papers.
"Where's the omega?" Dean took in a deep breath and lifted his shirt and pointed at his belly. Sam looked at his belly. He hadn't really seen Dean in the past week but- he looked way bigger than before. He furrowed his brow.
"Dean?"
"Oh, sorry Mr. ah- Winchester, I didn't read the 'male' part. Sorry for assuming. First time I've met- ah- one. And I assume he is your alpha?" The doctor put his hand out to Sam. Sam took it.
"I'm an alpha but not his alpha. I'm his brother, Sam,".
"My mistake again, sorry,"
"It's no problem,"
"It's whatever," the brothers answered together.
The sonographer instructed Dean to get on the examination table. Dean grimist but he did it. The doctor pulled up his shirt. He brought a machine with a large monitor on it closer to them. Sam stood next to Dean.
"Now this is a little cold," the sonographer warned.
"What's co-" before Dean could finish his sentence the man splattered conductor gel on the lower part of his belly. "Holy mother fu-"
The doctor chuckled. Dean glared at his doctor.
The sonographer rubbed the wand in the conductor gel and rubbed on his belly. After a minute there was an image on the screen as well as a whooshing sound. The image was a black and white silhouette of a pup in a black tomb. Deans heart raced.
"That's- that's my pup!" He smiled wide at the doctor then Sam. Sams body relaxed as Dean finally spoke to him. He looked at the screen. That was his family. Sam purred. Dean and the sonographer looked at him. He quickly covered his mouth. The doctor laughed again.
"An male omega and a purring alpha," he smirked, "now I've seen everything,".
After a few moments of checking everything the doctor spoke again.
"Well, from my experience, which I'll admit isn't a lot," he put away the wand and started wiping down Deans belly, " you're about 26 weeks or just about 6 months,".
"Wait, that can't be right? He was just hit 3 months a week ago,".
"Must have gotten the dates wrong on your end," the sonographer shrugged. Sam looked at Dean. He avoided eye contact with him.
"So! Experience with male omegas? I'm your first? Glad to take that virginity from you," Dean spoke pulling down his shirt.
"First ultrasound," Dean and Sam looked at him.
"Oh, first day on the job then" Dean nodded.
"Oh no, I've been Veronica for almost a year now. As soon as I got wind that the Winchesters were coming to my hospital, I had to see if the rumors were true, so I hopped in this old sack of crap," the doctor gestured to his body. The boys stared at him.
"Wha-what?" Sam stuttered.
The doctor smiled as his eyes went black. Dean jumped off the table and grabbed Sam hiding his younger brother behind his body.
"Demon," Dean scowled. The man tilted his head.
"The rumor was that you were just a beta. That would have been fine. Some betas give off alpha energy, I'll admit it. But Dean Winchester, an omega? Now that's," he laughed, "that's amazing! Everyone's going to love this,". He nodded. His body jerked up, his head tilted back and his mouth was wide open. Black smelly smoke started to fly out of the sonographers mouth. His body convulsed as the demon left his body. The smoke went into the vents as if finished coming out of the body. The smoke disappeared and the man fell to the floor unconscious. Dean went right to the man. He leaned down and checked his pulse. Sam looked into the vent.
"He's still alive," he confirmed.
"Demons gone," Sam frowned. Dean shook his head at his brother, but then went back to the doctor, who was just waking up.
