The next day, we were getting ready to leave to head back to Vermont. We were at the airport by 2:00 pm, so we can relax while we wait for our flight.
"You'll be meeting Beth when we get back to Maine after the trip is over," I said. "She wanted to join us, but she got in trouble by her parents and got grounded for a month."
"Oh, yeah. I forgot you told me that story last time we spoke," said Mary Anne. "You made the right choice."
Beth met a guy online, who was much older than her, and I was afraid that she'd be kidnapped or worse get killed. When she asked me not to say anything, I knew right away that I wouldn't keep her in danger, so I told my mom and called her parents. When they found out, she got grounded and the trip away from her. They also took the computer away from her. She got mad at me when she found out that I spoke up, but I didn't care. I reminded myself that I kept her safe. Even my mom and her parents told me that I was a good friend to look out for her. They told me she'd do the same if that was me if she was in my shoes. But I don't believe in doing anything dangerous. My parents taught me early to stay safe online, including never talk to strangers and if anything strange comes up, it's okay to tell my parents right away.
We were in Vermont the following day, but Mr. Spier and Mr. Thomas didn't feel like driving and we stayed in our RV at the Jay Peak for the night and we continued on to Canada. We were going to be in Halifax where we'll be touring tomorrow near Fairview Lawn Cemetery where the Titanic victims were buried. We stayed at a huge suite.
"Golly. That is huge," said Mary Anne.
"This is the Marriott Hotel," said Mr. Thomas.
"We'll be going on a bus tour for the Fairview Lawn Cemetery," said Mr. Spier.
"Good idea," said Kristy.
"I've seen Titanic disaster on History channel back at home. It's pretty cool," said Mary Anne. "I saw A Night to Remember a few times."
"There were three different times, it's only an hour. We got the last hour, which is 3:00 pm," said Mr. Spier. "We get picked up at the hotel. It would give us time to do things."
"This is going to be exciting," said Dawn.
Later, Mary Anne found a magazine of national disaster and it had Titanic, so she bought it. She read it later in bed.
"It's one of my favorite parts of History," said Mary Anne.
"Mine, too," I said.
"I also watched it in History," said Mary Anne. "I remember I did a report on it."
The next day, we had breakfast. We had free time before going out before 2:45 pm when the bus started loading up.
"This is going to be fun," said Mary Anne.
"I know," said Kayla.
At 3:00 pm, the bus started to leave to go on the tour at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery. It was pretty cool to see the victims up close.
"I know a lot of them are still living," said Mary Anne.
"Yes," I said. "I read about it, too."
After going through there, the bus went back to the hotel.
"I'd do that again," said Mary Anne.
"Same," said Kaylee.
At 6:00 pm, we had dinner.
"We'll be leaving a bit early and will be going to Seattle," said Mr. Thomas.
"Sounds nice," said Kristy.
After dinner, we get to be in the pool for a bit. We had a fun time. After that, we all got changed and went to bed by 9:30 pm.
