The next day, we left for Florida. We arrived in Florida two hours later.
In Orlando, we were staying at a campground for RVs. It also has cabins, so we decided to use those.
"We're going to spend the day at Epcot tomorrow," said Mr. Spier.
"I never been there, so that would be fun," said Mary Anne.
"You'll love it. Visiting the countries and seeing fireworks are fun," I said.
"Our family visit Florida every year, especially while we lived in New York," said Kayla.
The other girls will enjoy that as well. That night, we were in bed for 10:00 pm.
The next day, we were up by 8:00 am so we can eat breakfast before taking a bus to Epcot. Kayla, Mary Anne, and I planned to spend the day together. The rest decided to join us, but we didn't mind. We like being together. Mr. Spier and Mr. Thomas get to allow us to go separate ways. We made a plan to where to meet them that afternoon for the parade.
"Dad and Mr. Thomas wants us to meet them for lunch at a restaurant by 11:30 am," said Mary Anne.
"I remembered they said that," said Kristy.
"Dad said he'll text me to tell me which place we'll be eating at," said Mary Anne.
"Okay," I said.
"That would give us time to go on a few rides before lunch," said Mallory.
"And, we can do shops after lunch. I don't go on rides much after lunch," said Mary Anne.
"Us, either," said Kayla.
"Good plan," said Jessi.
"Especially with a full stomach to avoid motion sickness," I said.
We went on a few rides until Mr. Spier texted Mary Anne to meet him and Mr. Thomas at a cafe in the USA.
"We can see the presidents show after lunch there," said Mary Anne.
"Good idea," said Kristy.
We went over to USA for lunch. We all sat together. It was a good meal. After lunch, we went next door to watch the show about the presidents. That was very cool. We spent most of the afternoon going to shops until it was time to meet Mary Anne and Kristy's fathers for the parade. We had a fun time watching the parade. We stayed for the fireworks and then, we went back to the bus for the campground.
Everyone was tired, so they went to bed right after we got back. I was all excited. A few of us were still wide awake.
"I wonder where we would be heading tomorrow," I said.
"I'm not sure," said Mary Anne.
"I heard we're going to Daytona Beach to this huge condo," said Kayla.
"Really?" I asked.
"It's about an hour away," said Kaylee.
"And, it has a pool inside," added Kristy.
"Cool," I said.
"I've been there before," said April.
"How is it?" asked Mary Anne.
"Fun," said April. "I haven't been there since before I came to Stoneybrook."
"Wow," I said.
We talked until we fell asleep an hour later. We were all too excited to sleep
The next day, we were all up getting ready to spend a two days in Daytona Beach. We were all excited to do that. We had breakfast at the campground before we left for Daytona Beach.
"The condo is going to be fun," said Mary Anne.
"Yeah. The best part is that it has a pool inside or we can spend the day on the beach tomorrow. We could have a picnic there," said April.
"Sweet," said Mary Anne.
"I heard it's supposed to rain tomorrow," I said.
"Figures," said Dawn.
"If it does rain tomorrow, we can use the pool inside as a back-up plan, that's all," said Mary Anne.
"That's true," said April.
"I can't wait to get there," I said.
"Me, either," said Mary Anne.
"It has been a long time," said April.
We got there about an hour later. The traffic was a little heavy because of the road work or an accident. Otherwise, it wasn't too bad.
Since the condo was so big, we all get to share one room while Mr. Spier and Mr. Thomas get the other room.
"There might be a lightening tomorrow, so the pool inside might not be open to keep anyone safe. If you want to do it, you can still spend the day on the beach," said Mr. Thomas.
"Sounds like a good idea to me," I said.
"We can go in the pool inside tonight," said Mr. Spier.
"Okay," said Mary Anne.
We all changed up. Mary Anne put on some sunscreen when we got on the beach before we did anything else. We decided to have a sandcastle contest. We decided to do split in teams. Half from Mr. Thomas' RV and the other from Mr. Spier's RV.
"Let's make this more interesting," said Mary Anne.
"Speak it," said Kristy.
"If we win, you'll order pizza for dinner for us tonight and if we lose, we'll pay you for ice cream," said Kayla.
"No problem," said Kristy as they shook hands.
We giggled. That's what we did. We had fun. Mr. Spier's team won the contest, which means they'll have order pizza for us. Kristy didn't care. She likes pizza anyway.
That night, we had pizza delivered in our room. Poor Kristy had to pay for it since that was the part of the deal. We laughed. After dinner, we spend an hour in the pool inside. It was the good thing we did that because it was raining the following day with lightening, so pool inside the condo was closed for safety.
"Glad we did that yesterday," said Mary Anne.
"I know," I agreed.
"We could make this a movie day," said Kristy.
"Okay. I like that idea," said April.
"Yeah. I doubt that our dads would go out in this mess. They might wait until tomorrow to do so," said Mary Anne.
"That's true," said Kristy.
"It's supposed to stop before dinner," said Claudia.
Most of us played cards in between movies and we had popcorn while we watched the movies.
That night, Claudia was right, it did stop before dinner.
"You would be a good weatherwoman," I said.
We all laughed at that.
"I listen to the radio for weather," said Claudia.
"Good girl," I teased.
Then, Mr. Thomas and Mr. Spier took us out for dinner at Joe's Crab Shack. That was good.
"I haven't been there in a long time, either," said April.
It felt great to be out after being stuck in the condo all day, but we didn't care since we had a movie day.
"We can explore a few shops and have lunch at Bubba Gump tomorrow before we head to Georgia. We'll be spending the day in Savannah before staying in Atlanta," said Mr. Thomas.
"Okay," said Kristy.
Later, we decided to watch more movies when we got back to the condo. We stayed up a bit late since we didn't had to be in bed early or get up early. We weren't going to leave until around 10:00 am anyway. We didn't go to bed until between 11:00 and 11:30 pm.
"This feels like more a sleepover party," I said.
"Yes, indeed," said Mary Anne.
We giggled.
