Sam watched his big brother on the ground nearly fighting for his life. He ran his fingers through his hair.
"Oh shit-" he uttered. Rowena cocked her head to him.
"Are you stupid? Are you a damn nitwit! He's pregnant and you make him fight off an order like that! He obviously didn't want that deal!"
"It- it was a gift-" he stuttered.
"You know it was a deal! You know it wasn't God being kind. God isn't kind! He's petty and vengeful. You-" she took in a deep sharp breath. "You should have NEVER done that! Orders were something in my day! Not now! They're illegal for a reason!" Sam opened his mouth but she started again, "I know that family can order family- but you went too far. You are disgusting and so disappointing. Deplorable- disrespectful. Deceitful. May I go on!?" Sam looked away from her. The betas just looked back and forth between Sam and the grouping of omegas.
Dean suddenly stopped moving. Donna patted his back.
"Dean- are- are you okay?" Rowena lifted his head to look at her. His eyes were squinted and dull. She pushed him on Donna and slapped him.
"Dean!" She shouted. Sam's heart leaped in his throat.
"Dean?" Sam whimpered.
Dean moved his head a little. The room relaxed as he started moving his head up. Rowena's calm smile stopped. His eyes were pin pricks. She put her hand over his eyes and started scenting him.
"Get out! Everyone! He's feral!" Donna froze up, only dealing with ferals in a handful of her police cases. She only knew to knock them out long enough to get them in cuffs and in a cage. Jody stood up and blocked her girls with her body. Garth and Charlie stood back both unsure of what to do. Crowley, following his mother's orders, left the room. Bobby and Sam stood helpless. Sam wanted to get in there and start scenting him but the older woman was in the way.
Rowena purred and covered his eyes as she scented him. She encouraged the other female omega to scent him too. Donna was hesitant but let out a deep calming pheromone. Rowena felt his heart rate calm down quickly. As soon as she knew it was okay; she yelled.
"Get! Out! Now! He doesn't need a bunch of betas and you alphas in here!" She barked. This time Jody listened. She led her girls away and gestured for Garth and Charlie to follow. Bobby pulled the other alpha along with him as soon as he noticed he wasn't moving.
The room was filled with only omegas. Rowena uncovered his eyes for them to dilate into huge orbs. Dean's eyes welled up with tears and he let out a distress pheromone.
"What's wrong Dean?" Rowena asked. He sniffed around looking for something
"Where- where alpha?" He whined.
"The mean alphas gone," Donna hushed. Dean seemed to relax.
"My Alpha?" Dean's body shook. The two female omegas looked at each other.
"Cas?"
"The angel?" They asked each other. Dean nodded looking at them.
"Omega want alpha… pup… coming" Dean pouted. They looked at each other. Dean was holding his belly and his body shook violently. Rowena looked at his knees. She thought the floor was wet because of his vomit, but the vomit was mixed with a thin bloody and thin liquid. His crotch was wet too.
"We'll get omega's alpha. Don't worry,"
Rowena stood up as she held his hands. Dean used her hands as help as he got up. Donna pushed him up to a standing point too.
"Come follow me. I'll get ya to the infirmary. I can stay for a while until you're back to your old self again," Rowena brushed her hand through his hair and the two led him to the infirmary. They sat him on a bed and continued scenting him. Rowena covered his legs with a thin blanket and she took off his pants. She opened his legs and checked his slit. "Oh, dear me," she worried.
"What?" Donna tried to scent him.
"He only has a few more contractions before she's here,".
"He's in labor!? Wait! While feral? So quickly?" Donna worried.
"I think he's only 8 months too… god damn you, Sam!" Rowena cursed. "Anyone who can give birth will go into labor if they're stressed and feral,"
She looked at her hand which was covered in the watery blood, "with the sudden labor and this much blood, I'm guessing the placenta has ripped off from the womb. What do you all it," she snapped her fingers, "placental abruption! We'll need to get him a blood bag,". Donna nodded. Dean cried in pain as a contraction hit him. Rowena scented him to dull his pain. "Do you know Cass' number?" Rowena asked as she scented the male omega.
"I don't, why?"
"I want to call him. The fastest way to get a feral out of this state is by their mate scenting them,".
"But you know he might… hurt the pup,".
"But this much stress is terrible for the babe. It might die either way but I'm willing to bet money on Cas's' alpha instinct to protect the pup,"
"You think?"
"Alpha," the male omega whined.
"Shhh," Rowena hushed.
"How do we get in contact with him?"
"I think I have an idea." Rowen told her plan and Donna got up and left the room.
She stood outside the door and thought of the most horrific things she could imagine. She let her distress pheromones run wild. She made her way to the kitchen. Her scent made it in before she did. Everyone was covering their noses. She marched up to Sam and put out her hand.
"Give me your phone," she demanded.
"Is Dean okay? Why do you smell like that?" Sam retched at her smell.
"Phone!" Donna demanded. Sam quickly pulled it out. She started to leave but turned around. "What's Dean's passcode?"
"It's 'ride the lightning 1984', no spaces," he whined. Donna smiled and left the alphas and betas. She jogged back to the infirmary. She came back in and handed the phone to Rowena.
"How did you know my distressed scent would make them do anything I said?" Donna asked.
"I've been an omega a lot longer than most people. I know all of the tricks," she smirked.
She searched through the contacts and found him. She called him four times but no answer. They tried Dean's phone but that didn't work either.
"Wait- let me try to call him on my phone," Donna suggested. She dialed in the number and called it. After a few rings he answered.
"This is Castiel,"
"Cas, my name's Donna. You don't really know me but I have Rowena and Dean with me. We need your help with Dean. He's feral and in labor,".
"But he's not far enough along, how is he in labor?" Cas's voice was a little worried.
"Sam stressed him by forcing an order on him to take a deal from Chuck," Donna explained.
"Chuck? Deal? What deal?" Cas panicked.
"To keep him alive,".
"Dean was dying?" There was a whooshing sound, "I'm at the front door, let me in," Cas huffed out of breath.
"I'll be right there," she hung up. "He's here. I'm going to get him,"
"Al..pha," Dean was sweating and his eyes were half lidded.
"We got your alpha, don't worry," Rowena purred.
Donna left to get Cas. She stepped into the kitchen and gave Sam the side eye quickly before going to the front door. She opened it and Cas immediately walked past Donna. Donna shut the door and followed him. He was walking very fast.
"Where is he?"
"Infirmary," she said, nearly out of breath from trying to keep up with him. They walked into the kitchen. Cas didn't even notice the people in there. But they noticed him. Sam jumped up and ran at him. Cas stopped him at the last second with one hand.
"Get out!" Sam growled.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Cas spoke calmly.
"Get the hell out!" Cas went chest to chest with the other alpha.
"Why didn't you tell me Chuck was here?" He demanded.
"Get out!" Sam ordered.
"No," Cas ordered back. Sam bared his teeth, threatening Cas, Cas instinctively snarled back and bared his teeth. Bobby quickly pulled Sam back and Donna pulled Cas's arm.
"What in the hell are you thinking of bringing him here?" Bobby barked.
"Deans feral!" She answered.
"I can help him!" Sam put his hand on his chest, emphasizing his point.
"And he's in labor!" Donna got in his face. Sam froze.
"What? No!" Sam tried to get away from Bobby, "it's too soon! We have to get him to a hospital!"
"It's too late for that! We need Cas now! He's almost crowning, we need Cas to calm Dean down while he gives birth," Donna finally pulled Cas away and pushed him towards the infirmary. Sam shook with rage.
"No! I can be there for Dean! We all can!" Sam own purples thinned down and his thoughts blurred.
"You are such a- goddamn- asshole!" Donna sputtered her words, "we wouldn't even be in this situation if you didn't order him to take Chucks deal!" Donna yelled.
"He would have died! I saved him!" Sam argued his mind slipping. Clair got up and slammed her hands on the counter.
"Well thanks because now we don't know if Chuck is going to kill the baby!" She shouted.
"But Dean would have died- do you not understand that? I don't need a niece- I need Dean!" Sam cried out.
"I need Dean too. I think you did the right thing," Cas admitted. Everyone quieted down. Sams focus centered itself and he calmed down.
"What?" Donna asked.
"I would have done anything to keep Dean alive. I know he'll be heartbroken that both Sam and I would rather have him over his baby- but I love… we love and care about him,". Donna gripped his arm tightly, "I still want to see him though,".
"No," Sam shot him down.
"I don't care Sam," Cas looked at Donna, who wasn't sure about bringing him to see Dean anymore. "I'm going to see Dean now," he started walking away. Sam struggled under Bobby's grip. But it wasn't enough. Cas was gone.
Rowena checked on Dean's slit again as he had another contraction.
"Not too much longer, Dean," she purred to soothe him, "it'll be over soon," Dean howled in pain. Suddenly the door flung open and Cas walked in. Dean was in too much pain to notice. But Rowena sighed in relief. Donna walked in behind him. Cas went straight to Dean's side and scented him, whispering in his ear that his alpha was here. Almost instantly Dean's pain lessened. It didn't go away but it was more bearable.
"Al… al… a-alpha," Dean whimpered. Cas hushed him. Cas looked up at Rowena.
"What happened," Cas asked. Rowena sighed.
"We were having a pup shower. That man- Chuck showed up and offered Dean a deal. We didn't know giving birth to his pup would have killed him. Or, at least I didn't. Chuck offered to save him, but he didn't say why or what would happen instead. Dean didn't want to take the deal but Sam ordered him to. It was disgusting. You never order a dam carrying a pup, or a litter. It could have killed them from the stress. It sent Dean into a feral state and pushed him into labor," she answered. Cas nodded.
"I would have done the same," Cas didn't even hesitate telling her. She growled, but that didn't matter now.
"I'm not surprised. You're his alpha. It's in your instinct to keep your omega alive. But love… there's something you should know-" suddenly Dean screamed in pain. Much louder and guttural than he had before. Rowena checked him again. "Damn. He's crowning. I thought we had more time," She looked around. "Donna, find me a blanket- quickly, then find out if anyone has O negative blood. He's going to need it,".
Donna ran around the room searching. "Come on, Dean, push," Rowena encouraged him. Dean whined as he pushed. "Good Dean, good, one more big- Donna, now!" She spoke in a hurried tone.
"I can't find one,". She had tears in the corner of her eyes from panicking. Cas took off his trench coat and gave it to Rowena. She gave it a concerned look.
"It's not the softest, but it will work for now." She put the coat between Dean's legs. "One last push Dean- one more, you can do it!" Dean screamed through his teeth as tears fell down his face. He didn't realize it but he was squeezing Cas's hand. The angel was scenting him while trying to keep an eye on Rowena. Donna gave Rowena scissors. Rowena shouted encouragement and Donna watched over Rowena's shoulder. Then suddenly the pain subsided. Everything went quiet for a moment.
