Chapter 78: Psyduck Evolves?
Hello everyone, this chapter will focus on Ash training for his upcoming gym challenge and Misty's Psyduck possibly evolving. I hope you all enjoy it.
The chapter begins one day after the last chapter ended. Still on their way to Naval Island the group have come to Kinnow Island to have a little break and have sent out their Pokémon for them to have some fun. The Pokémon Ash has with him today are Pikachu, Tauros, Dunsparce, Croconaw, Noctowl, Palpitoad and Lapras. Misty's Pokémon consists of Psyduck, Quaxwell, Drizzile, Carracosta, Horsea, and Arctovish. Leaf's Pokémon are Venusaur, Morpeko, Maushold, Kanto Rapidash, and Dachsbun. And Tracey's Pokémon are Smeargle, Maril, and Venonat.
We see the group on a beach, while Ash's Lapras, Palpitoad along with Misty's Horsea, Carracosta, and Arctovish are happily playing in the water. We see Ash's Croconaw along with Misty's Quaxwell having a dance battle. Ash's Tauros, Dunsparce, Noctowl, Leaf's Venusaur, Rapidash, Misty's Drizzile and Psyduck are currently sleeping. Next, we see Ash's Pikachu, Leaf's Morpeko, Maushold, Dachsbun, Tracey's Smeargle, Maril, and Venonat currently running around on the beach playing tag with Ash and Leaf chasing after them as they're it. We also see Tracey taking a nap as well and then we see Misty with Togepi she's currently training it and calls for a command.
"Okay Togepi use Tackle on that rock!" Misty calls Togepi runs forward and hits the rock. When it does there's barely a scratch on it as Misty calls for her next command.
"Now Togepi use Fairy Wind!" Misty calls Togepi fires a small wind of fairy energy that hits the rock but doesn't do any damage to it as Misty speaks.
"Okay Togepi time for the finisher use Metronome!" Misty calls Togepi nods as it looks at the rock and begins to sway its fingers. Togepi continues to sway its fingers until they glow white and are about to unleash a move. Misty looks on in awe waiting to see what move will appear, a few seconds later the light disappears and Togepi begins to splash up and down. Misty has a surprised look on her face then speaks.
"Aw it turned into Splash" Misty says in a disappointed tone as she then hears a voice.
"How's the training going?" The voice says making Misty turn around as she sees Ash and Leaf walking over to her. When they get close enough Misty speaks.
"Well, Togepi's getting better at using Tackle and Fairy Wind, but Metronome is still tricky" Misty says as Ash and Leaf look at Togepi who's still splashing up and down as Leaf speaks.
"Well Metronome is a move that chooses Pokémon moves at random, so it won't always guarantee to give you the move you want" Leaf says with Misty nodding. The 3 trainers then see Pikachu walk over and manages to help Togepi stop splashing making the egg Pokemon happy as it tells Pikachu thanks with the yellow mouse nodding. Pikachu and Togepi then begin playing with the other Pokémon as Misty speaks.
"You know I wonder if Togepi really wants to get stronger as it mainly just likes to play" Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"Well, Togepi is still a baby, and you already know that training it will take time" Leaf says with Misty nodding as Ash speaks.
"Hey, I've an idea why don't we show Togepi what training is like with a battle between you and me that way it might gain more motivation to take training seriously" Ash suggests as Misty speaks.
"Hmmm that might just work okay let's do it" Misty says with Ash nodding. After that they gather their Pokémon together Ash's Pokémon (besides Lapras who's still in the water) are standing next to him while Misty's Pokémon are standing next to her. Leaf then takes the referee position (the group decide to not wake Tracey up and let him sleep) then speaks.
"I'll be the referee for this battle" Leaf says with the 2 trainers nodding as Misty looks at Ash and speaks.
"So, Ash what're the rules for this battle?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"This will be a triple battle seeing as my gym challenge is coming up soon, I want to get more experience with this battle style since Nemona said that I should expect it." Ash says with Misty nodding as Leaf speaks.
"This is a triple battle between Misty and Ash. Both trainers are allowed to use only 3 Pokémon each and whoever defeats all of their opponents' Pokémon first will be declared the winner! If both trainers are ready, please send out your Pokémon!" Leaf says as Ash speaks.
"Okay Tauros, Dunsparce, and Noctowl I choose you!" Ash says as the 3 mons go on the battlefield and get into battle stances Misty then speaks.
"So, he's using those 3 in that case. Carracosta, Drizzile, and Psyduck you're up!" Misty says as the 3 mons go on the battlefield too and get into battle stances Ash then speaks.
"So, those are the 3 you're using okay guys let's win!" Ash says with the 3-mons nodding as Misty speaks.
"You're not going to beat us that easily Ash and Togepi make sure you watch closely" Misty says with the egg nodding as Leaf speaks.
"Now that both trainers' have sent out their Pokémon you may now begin!" Leaf says as Ash speaks.
"We'll attack first Tauros use Zen Headbutt on Drizzile, Noctowl use Air Slash on Psyduck and Dunsparce use Dig on Carracosta!" Ash calls Tauros covers its head in psychic energy and begins running towards Drizzile. Noctowl's wings glow and fires multiple slashes of wind towards Psyduck. Dunsparce quickly digs underground and begins heading for Carracosta as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta intercept Tauros with Liquidation and Psyduck use Confusion to grab the Air Slashes then send them back at Noctowl!" Misty calls Carracosta covers its fins in water shoots forward and collides with Tauros. The 2 mons go back and forth for a little bit then back away from each other. Psyduck's eyes glow as it fires the confusion waves grabs the slashes of wind and sends them back at Noctowl as Ash speaks.
"Noctowl dodge the Air Slash and Dunsparce hit Carracosta!" "Carracosta dodge and Drizzile use Hydro Pump on Dunsparce!" Both trainers call up in the air Noctowl manages to easily evade the slashes of wind. Back on the ground Carracosta feels something underneath it and backs away as Dunsparce appears, missing its attack. Drizzile sees Dunsparce takes a deep breath and fires a big stream of water at the mon as Ash speaks.
"Noctowl use Psychic to grab the Hydro Pump and send it at Carracosta. Dunsparce use Dig again and head for Psyduck. Tauros head for Drizzile!" Ash calls Noctowl quickly fires the waves of psychic energy grabs the Hydro Pump before it could hit Dunsparce then redirects the move making it head for Carracosta. Dunsparce quickly dives back into the sand and begins heading for Psyduck while Tauros begins running towards Drizzile as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta use Liquidation to destroy the Hydro Pump then use Stone Edge on Noctowl! Psyduck use Confusion to pull Dunsparce out of the ground, and Drizzile use Aqua Jet!" Misty calls Carracosta covers both of its fins in water and easily cuts the Hydro Pump in half. Carracosta looks at the sky, creates multiple stones around it and fires them at Noctowl. Psyduck concentrates then fires the confusion waves and manages to pull Dunsparce out from the ground. Drizzile covers its body in water and heads for Tauros as Ash speaks.
"Tauros use Take Down on Drizzile, Noctowl dodge the Stone Edge then use Hypnosis on Carracosta and Dunsparce use Screech to break out of the Confusion!" Ash calls Tauros continues running towards Drizzile and is about to collide with it. Noctowl easily dodges the sharp stones then begins to fire the hypnotic waves at Carracosta. Dunsparce takes a deep breath then fires a loud Screech that hurts Psyduck's ears making it lose concentration as it lets go of Dunsparce Misty then speaks.
"Drizzile dodge Tauros and hit Noctowl with Aqua Jet and Carracosta use Scald on Dunsparce!" Misty calls when Drizzile's about to collide with Tauros it moves to the right goes upward and hits Noctowl's stomach making the Owl cough in pain as its hypnotic waves disappear. Carracosta then fires the hot stream of water at Dunsparce as Ash speaks.
"Tauros use Iron Tail to get rid of the Scald then use Raging Bull on Carracosta, Noctowl knock Drizzile away with Moonblast, and Dunsparce use Rollout on Psyduck!" Ash calls when the Scald's about to hit Dunsparce Tauros immediately appears covers its 3 tails in steel energy swings them and destroys the Scald. After that Tauros roars its horns along with its body glow in white energy as it begins running towards Carracosta. Up in the air Noctowl looks at Drizzile and fires a point blank Moonblast that consumes the water lizard and sends it crashing back down on the battlefield. Dunsparce then curls into a ball and begins rolling towards Psyduck as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta counter Tauros with Waterfall, Psyduck use Water Gun on Dunsparce, and Drizzile use Ice Shard on Noctowl!" Misty calls Carracosta roars, covers its body in water shoots forward and collides with Tauros as they begin trying to push each other back. Psyduck takes a deep breath and fires a Water Gun that heads for Dunsparce. Drizzile appears out of the smoke it groans a little in pain but shakes it off as it looks up at Noctowl takes a deep breath and starts firing out multiple shards of ice at the owl as Ash speaks.
"Dunsparce dodge the Water Gun and keep rolling towards Psyduck and when you get close use Drill Run! Noctowl use Hyper Voice to destroy the Ice Shard's and Tauros put more power into the Raging Bull and knock Carracosta away!" Ash calls when the Water Gun goes to hit Dunsparce, Dunsparce rolls to the right and avoids the move. Up in the air Noctowl sees the Ice Shards coming for it and lets out a loud voice that destroys them and heads for Drizzile. Back on the ground Tauros roars, its horns along with its body glow more intensely and manages to knock Carracosta away making it slide back a few feet. Misty then speaks.
"Psyduck use Confusion on Dunsparce and send it high into the air! Drizzile dodge the Hyper Voice and use another Ice Shard on Noctowl! Carracosta use Rockslide on Tauros!" Misty calls as Ash's Dunsparce's getting closer to Psyduck, Psyduck fires the confusion waves grabs Dunsparce making it stop and sends it high into the air. Drizzile manages to easily dodge Noctowl's Hyper Voice then fires the ice shard, Carracosta summons multiple large boulders around it and fires them at Tauros as Ash speaks.
"Noctowl dodge the Ice Shard and catch Dunsparce! Tauros dodge the Rockslide then use Iron Head on Carracosta!" Ash calls Noctowl manages to easily dodge the Ice Shard then flies over to Dunsparce and lets it land on its back. Dunsparce tells Noctowl thank you with the owl nodding. Back on the ground Tauros's easily dodge all of the boulders covers its head in steel energy and begins running towards Carracosta as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta use Liquidation, and Drizzile, Psyduck use Hydro Pump to knock Noctowl along with Dunsparce out of the air!" Misty calls Carracosta covers its left arm in water and collides with Tauros. Psyduck along with Drizzile both fire a big stream of water that heads for Noctowl going to hit it but Noctowl manages to easily dodge with Dunsparce doing its best to hang on as Misty speaks.
"Now Psyduck hold Noctowl in place with Confusion!" Misty calls Psyduck fires the confusion waves and catches Noctowl making it stop as Misty speaks.
"Now Drizzile use Ice Beam!" Misty calls Drizzile takes a deep breath and fires the icy beam. As the beam goes to hit Noctowl Ash speaks.
Dunsparce quick counter with Stone Edge!" Ash calls Dunsparce creates two large sharp stones and fires them. The sharp stones easily destroy the Ice Beam and go to hit Psyduck along with Drizzile as Misty speaks.
"Drizzile, Psyduck dodge!" Misty calls Drizzile moves to the right and manages to easily dodge. Meanwhile with Psyduck it's unable to dodge in time as the Stone Edge hits it creating an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Psyduck it starts to fly away from the group which surprises them as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck!" Misty calls in worry as she along with her Pokémon begin running after it Ash then speaks.
"Misty wait!" Ash says as he along with Leaf and their Pokémon begin running after them. Tracey then wakes up he sees the others running away forcing him along with his Pokémon to run after them as he yells.
"Wait for us!" Tracey yells while he and his Pokémon chase after the others. Meanwhile, on another part of the island in the water we see a girl with blue hair sitting in a boat fishing while a Tentacruel's next to her. As the girl continues to fish suddenly something falls in the water next to her as she speaks.
"What was that?!" The girl says as she along with her Tentacruel notice Misty's Psyduck appear and begins to frantically thrash about in the water as the girl speaks.
"A Psyduck?" The girl says as she then hears a voice.
"Psyduck!" The voice says making the girl turn around and sees the group running towards her when the group make it the girl looks at them and speaks.
"Um is this your Psyduck?" The girl asks (her Tentacruel's holding Psyduck with one of its tenacles) with Misty nodding as she speaks.
"Yes, it is" Misty says with the girl nodding. A few seconds later Tentacruel puts Psyduck next to Misty allowing the girl to bend down and hug the duck saying that she's happy that Psyduck's alright making the duck happy. The girl then walks over to the group and once she gets close enough, she looks at Ash, Leaf, and Misty then speaks.
"Hey, weren't you 3 in the SS. Anne Tournament?" The girl asks with the 3 trainers nodding as the girl smiles and speaks.
"I knew it!" The girl says happily as Ash speaks.
"Um do we know you?" Ash asks as the girl speaks.
"We never formally met but you may remember that in the second round of the tournament I battled your friend Lana." The girl says as Ash, Leaf, and Misty then get the memory as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah, that's right and your name was?" Leaf says as she's about to guess the girl's name the girl speaks.
"My name's Marina and I'm a water type expert" Marina says with the group nodding as Misty speaks.
"Really? So am I!" Misty says making Marina happy as the 2 girls then begin to talk about their favorite kind of water type Pokemon while the others watch as Tracey speaks.
"Looks like we're being ignored" Tracey says with Ash and Leaf agreeing. Back to Misty and Marina, as the two girls continue to talk Marina looks at Misty's Psyduck and speaks.
"Your Psyduck's tail is growing that means that it's getting close to evolving soon. I should know as it happened with my Psyduck" Marina says as Misty speaks.
"Really!? Is that true Psyduck?" Misty asks as Psyduck looks at her confused Ash then speaks.
"So, this means that it'll evolve into a Golduck soon" Ash says as Leaf speaks.
"Well with all the training that Misty does with Psyduck it evolving soon shouldn't be too surprising" Leaf says with the group nodding as Misty speaks.
"You hear that Psyduck you're going to evolve soon isn't that great?!" Misty says happily as Psyduck looks at her Marina then speaks.
"Hey, I've an idea Misty why don't we have a battle that way it'll allow your Psyduck to possibly evolve" Marina suggests as Misty looks at her smiles and speaks.
"Sounds good to me" Misty says while smiling. After that the 2 girls get into battle stances and look at each other. Leaf walks forward and takes the ref position. She looks at Marina then speaks.
"What're the rules for this battle?" Leaf asks as Marina speaks.
"This will be a 4v4 double battle with substitutions" Marina says with Leaf nodding as she speaks.
"This is a 4v4 double battle between Misty and Marina. Both trainers are only allowed to use 4 Pokémon each and substitute them at any time. Whoever defeats all of their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner. If both trainers are ready, please send out your first 2 Pokémon!" Leaf says as Marina pulls out 1 Pokeball and speaks.
"Here I come Misty. Tentacruel, Masquerain you're first!" Marina says she throws 1 ball forward and Tentacruel jumps on the battlefield. When Masquerain appears, Misty looks at the mon and gets a little scared because of its bug-like appearance as Ash looks at it and speaks.
"Who's that Pokémon?" Ash questions as he pulls out his Pokedex.
"Masquerain, the Eyeball Pokémon and a Bug/Flying Type. Masquerain is the evolved form of Surskit. Its feelers, which resemble eyeballs, help to throw off opponents. It is able to hover in the sky like a helicopter." The Pokedex says. Back on the battlefield Misty looks at the 2 mons and speaks.
"So, a Tentacruel and Masquerain are first in that case I'll use" Misty says to herself then looks over at Arctovish and Quaxwell.
"Arctovish, Quaxwell you're first!" Misty says with the 2-mons nodding as they jump on the battlefield and get into a battle stance with Marina's Pokémon doing the same as Marina speaks.
"So, that's an Arctovish I've never seen one before" Marina says as Misty speaks.
"I bet you haven't because it was just recently discovered a couple weeks ago" Misty says with Marina nodding as she speaks.
"I see I've to say it looks strong, but my Pokémon won't go down!" Marina says with her Pokémon agreeing with her while Misty smiles Leaf speaks.
"Now that both trainers have brought out their Pokémon let the battle begin!" Leaf says as Misty speaks.
"I'll go first Arctovish use Ice Beam on Masquerain and Quaxwell use Air Slash on Tentacruel!" Misty calls the 2-mons fire their moves that head for their respective target as Marina speaks.
"Masquerain dodge the Ice Beam then use Quiver Dance and Tentacruel knock the Air Slash away with your tentacles then grab Quaxwell!" Marina calls with the 2-mons nodding. Masquerain sees the Ice Beam heading for it and moves to the right easily dodging it. Masquerain then begins to dance, once it's done it can feel its special attack, special defense, and speed stats increase sharply. Meanwhile with Tentacruel it sees the Air Slashes heading for it and manages to easily deflect all of them with its tentacles. Tentacruel then extends its arms forward to grab Quaxwell as Misty speaks.
"Quaxwell dodge Tentacruel's tentacles and Arctovish use Waterfall on Tentacruel!" Misty calls when the tentacles go to grab Quaxwell the duck dances gracefully and easily dodges them. Arctovish covers its body in water then heads for Tentacruel going to hit it as Marina speaks.
"Masquerain quick get in front of Tentacruel and use Protect! And Tentacruel use Poison Jab on Arctovish!" Marina calls when Arctovish's about to hit Tentacruel Masquerain appears and summons a protective barrier blocking the attack, but the barrier does crack a little bit. Tentacruel covers its tentacles in poison and goes to hit Arctovish as Misty speaks.
"Quaxwell quick use Aqua Cutter to knock away the Poison Jabs!" Misty calls Quaxwell covers its legs in water kicks them forward summoning two blades of water. The water blades make contact with the tentacles and knock them away, making Misty happy as Marina speaks.
"We're not done yet Masquerain use Psybeam on Arctovish!" "Arctovish counter with Ice Beam!" Both trainers' call. Masquerain fires the psychic beam while Arctovish fires its icy beam. The 2 moves collide creating an explosion and making both mons slide a few feet away from each other. Masquerain manages to stop itself and starts flying towards Arctovish as Misty speaks.
"Arctovish use Hydro Pump!" Masquerain dodge then when you get close use Energy Ball!" Both trainers' call. Arctovish fires the big stream of water, but Masquerain easily dodges the attack. Masquerain's now in front of Arctovish as it's about to fire the ball of grassy energy Misty speaks.
"Quaxwell knock Masquerain away with Aqua Jet!" Misty calls Quaxwell quickly covers its body in water shoots forward and hits Masquerain making it fly back a few feet away as Marina speaks.
"Now Tentacruel use Poison Jab!" Marina calls before Misty can tell Quaxwell to dodge Tentacruel covers one of its tentacles in poison and jabs Quaxwell's stomach with it. Quaxwell coughs in pain and is sent crashing back onto the battlefield a few feet away creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears Quaxwell stands back up but begins to cough as it's now poisoned, Misty's surprised while Marina smiles and speaks.
"Now Tentacruel use Venoshock on Quaxwell!" "Arctovish quick get in front of Quaxwell and use Protect!" Both trainers call Tentacruel fires the stream of poison, it goes to hit Quaxwell but Arctovish appears in front of the duck and summons a protective barrier blocking the attack. A few seconds later the Venoshock stops, and the barrier goes down, once it does Masquerain appears in front of Arctovish as Marina speaks.
"Now Stun Spore then Energy Ball!" Marina calls Masquerain quickly shoots out a few spores that hit Arctovish and paralyzes it. Masquerain then fires a ball of grassy energy in Arctovish's face causing damage and making it slide back a few feet away. Tentacruel then appears in front of Quaxwell as Marina speaks.
"Now Tentacruel use Venoshock!" "Quaxwell use Aqua Jet to dodge!" Masquerain hit Quaxwell from behind with Quick Attack!" Both trainers call Tentacruel fires the stream of poison that goes to hit Quaxwell but the duck covers its body in water and jumps in the air avoiding the attack. When that happens Masquerain appears behind Quaxwell and hits its back with Quick Attack making Quaxwell fall into the Venoshock as Misty speaks.
"Quaxwell!" Misty calls in concern while Quaxwell cries out in pain. A few seconds later Quaxwell's sent crashing next to Arctovish as Misty speaks.
"Are you two, okay?!" Misty asks with the 2-mons nodding as they stand back up but continue to groan in pain and look at Marina's Pokemon as Marina has a smile on her face. Off to the side Tracey speaks.
"Marina's good" Tracey says as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, it looks like she's improved a lot since the SS. Anne" Ash says meanwhile their Pokémon continue to cheer Misty, Arctovish, and Quaxwell on. Back on the battlefield Misty begins to think.
"This is bad Arctovish's paralyzed and Quaxwell's poisoned Marina's put me in a really tough spot, but I can still win this" Misty says to herself and smiles as Marina speaks.
"That look on your face tells me that you don't think that you're going to lose" Marina says as Misty speaks.
"Yep, that's right you have the advantage right now but I'm confident that Arctovish and Quaxwell can still win" Misty says with the 2-mons nodding as Marina speaks.
"We'll see about that Masquerain get close to Arctovish then use Energy Ball and Tentacruel use Sludge Bomb on Quaxwell!" Marina calls Masquerain dashes forward while Tentacruel fires multiple bombs of poison towards Quaxwell Misty speaks.
"Quaxwell intercept Masquerain with Aqua Jet and Arctovish use Hydro Pump to destroy the Sludge Bombs!" Misty calls Quaxwell groans from poison damage but manages to cover its body in water, shoots over to Masquerain and kicks it in the face sending it flying back a few feet away. The Sludge Bombs are about to hit Quaxwell, but Arctovish gets in front of them and fires a big stream of water that easily destroys the poison bombs of sludge and heads for Tentacruel as Marina speaks.
"Tentacruel use Brutal Swing on the Hydro Pump and Masquerain use Giga Drain on Quaxwell!" "Quaxwell use Aqua Cutter and Arctovish get in front of Tentacruel!" Both trainers call Masquerain manages to stop itself, its teeth glow in grass energy and goes to bite Quaxwell. Quaxwell quickly covers its feet in water then kicks them forward sending out 2 water blades that connect with Masquerain creating an explosion. Masquerain appears out of the explosion and its overall fine as it looks at Quaxwell with the duck looking at it. Meanwhile as the Hydro Pump goes to hit Tentacruel the mon covers its tentacles in dark energy and spins easily destroying it. When that happens Arctovish appears in front of Tentacruel and looks at it as Misty speaks.
"Now Arctovish use Blizzard!" "Tentacruel dodge!" Both trainers call before Tentacruel can dodge Arctovish suffers from the paralysis but pushes through and fires a massive Blizzard that hits Tentacruel. Tentacruel groans in pain as it's then completely frozen, surprising Marina as Misty speaks.
"Now Arctovish use Waterfall!" "Masquerain use Air Slash on Arctovish!" "Quaxwell use Wing Attack!" Both trainers call When Arctovish's about to cover its body in water it suffers from paralysis making it stop. Masquerain sees this as its chance as it's about to fire the slashes of wind Quaxwell appears behind it, the duck covers its right wing in white energy and slaps Masquerain hard on the head sending it crashing on the ground. Meanwhile back to Arctovish it continues to suffer from the paralysis as Misty speaks.
"Come on Arctovish I know you can do it use Waterfall!" Misty calls as Arctovish roars it pushes through the paralysis covers its body in water and hits the frozen Tentacruel. Tentacruel appears out of the ice and is sent flying crashing next to Marina. Marina looks at the mon and sees that it's knocked out as Leaf speaks.
"Tentacruel's unable to battle!" Leaf says as Misty speaks.
"Great job Arctovish!" Misty says happily with the mon nodding suddenly Masquerain appears in front of Arctovish as Marina speaks.
"Now Masquerain use Sunny Day then Solar Beam!" "Arctovish dodge!" Both trainers call Masquerain roars to the sky summoning the harsh sun light and begins to quickly build up grassy energy. Arctovish goes to dodge but is unable to as Marina speaks.
"Now Fire!" Marina calls Masquerain roars as it fires a point-blank Solar Beam consuming Arctovish. Arctovish cries out in pain as it's sent crashing next to Quaxwell Misty speaks.
"Arctovish!" Misty calls in worry, Quaxwell goes over to its teammate and sees that it's knocked out as Leaf speaks.
"Arctovish's unable to battle!" Leaf calls Misty has a surprised look on her face as Ash speaks.
"Darn Arctovish lost" Ash says as Tracey speaks.
"Unfortunately, Arctovish was unable to dodge thanks to the paralysis" Tracey says with Ash nodding. Back on the battlefield Misty along with Marina return Arctovish and Tentacruel back to their Pokeball's. Both girls say that their Pokémon did great and put them back on their belts. Marina then pulls out her next Pokeball and speaks.
"Alright time for my third Pokémon Gastrodon come out!" Marina says as she throws the ball forward and a big brown/pink sludge like Pokémon appears. The mon has a serious look on its face as Ash speaks.
"Who's that Pokémon?" Ash questions as he pulls out his Pokedex.
"Gastrodon, the Sea Slug Pokémon a Water/Ground type. Although Gastrodon has a flexible body, it is tough, allowing it to absorb sharp blows." The Pokedex says as Misty speaks.
"So, a Gastrodon's next then I'll use" Just when Misty's about to pick Carracosta Horsea immediately jumps on the battlefield as Misty speaks.
"You're saying that you want to battle Horsea?" Misty asks with Horsea nodding making Misty smile as she speaks.
"Alright I'm counting on you and Quaxwell!" Misty says with the 2-mons nodding as they look at their opponents and get into battle stances with Marina's Pokémon doing the same. Leaf calls for the battle to continue as Marina speaks.
"I'll go first! Masquerain use Solar Beam on Horsea and Gastrodon use Earth Power on Quaxwell!" Marina calls Masquerain quickly fires the grassy beam while Gastrodon stomps on the battlefield creating a large crack. The 2 moves head for their respective opponents as Misty speaks.
"Horsea counter the Solar Beam with Ice Beam and Quaxwell dodge the Earth Power with Aqua Jet then head for Masquerain!" Misty calls Horsea quickly fires the icy beam and collides with the Solar Beam creating an explosion. Quaxwell covers its body in water, dodges the Earth Power and begins heading for Masquerain as Misty speaks.
"Now Quaxwell when you get close to Masquerain use Triple Axel!" "I don't think so Masquerain dodge and Gastrodon use Ancient Power on Quaxwell!" "Horsea use Dragon Pulse to intercept the Ancient Power and Quaxwell keep going after Masquerain!" Both trainers call Quaxwell's closing in on Masquerain covers its feet in ice and goes to kick the mon. But Quaxwell suffers from poison damage causing it to slow down and allowing Masquerain to quickly fly in the air dodging the attack. Gastrodon then summons multiple rocks with purple energy and sends them at Quaxwell. When the rocks are about to hit Quaxwell Horsea fires a Dragon Pulse and easily destroys all of the rocks. After that Quaxwell jumps from the ground and reaches Masquerain surprising the bug as Marina speaks.
"Masquerain quick use Solar Beam!" "Quaxwell Triple Axel!" Both trainers' call Quaxwell covers its feet in ice and goes to kick Masquerain but suffers from poison damage. Masquerain then quickly charges up the beam and fires it at Quaxwell. When the beam is just inches away from hitting Quaxwell Misty speaks.
"Quaxwell kick it away and hit Masquerain!" Misty calls Quaxwell nods as it manages to kick the beam away with its left foot making it hit a nearby tree. Marina along with Masquerain are surprised but this gives Quaxwell the chance to reach Masquerain and kick it 3 times in the face. Masquerain groans from the super effective hit as Misty speaks.
"Now use Wing Attack!" "Masquerain quick use Protect!" Both trainers call before Masquerain can use Protect Quaxwell's right wing glows white and slaps Masquerain across the face. Masquerain is sent crashing back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Marina speaks.
"Masquerain!" Marina calls in worry. Quaxwell lands back on the battlefield it takes some poison damage but stays standing and looks forward. When the dust clears everyone can see that Masquerain's knocked out as Leaf speaks.
"Masquerain's unable to battle!" Leaf says making Misty happy as she speaks.
"Great job Quaxwell!" Misty cheers along with her Pokémon as Quaxwell smiles. Marina returns Masquerain back to its Pokeball and tells it thank you. Marina pulls out her final Pokeball and speaks.
"Not bad Misty I may be down to 2 Pokémon but I'm not out yet. Golduck come out!" Marina says as she throws the ball forward and her Golduck appears. The duck stands next to Gastrodon and looks forward looking at Misty's Pokémon having a serious look on its face. Quaxwell along with Horsea get into battle stances as Misty speaks.
"That Golduck I can feel that it's strong" Misty says to herself. Off to the side Misty's Psyduck looks at Golduck and is interested in it. Misty then looks at Quaxwell and Horsea and speaks.
"Quaxwell, Horsea let's keep going!" Misty says with the 2-mons nodding. Leaf then calls for the battle to continue as Misty speaks.
"Okay Horsea use Ice Beam on Gastrodon and Quaxwell use Aqua Cutter on Golduck!" Misty calls Horsea fires the icy beam at Gastrodon while Quaxwell fires 2 water blades towards Golduck. Neither Marina nor her Pokemon are worried as she speaks.
"Gastrodon counter that Ice Beam with your own and Golduck use Liquidation to destroy the Aqua Cutter then use Psychic!" Marina calls Gastrodon fires its own Ice Beam that collides with Horsea's creating an explosion. As the 2 water blades are going to hit Golduck, Golduck covers its right hand in water turning it into a water blade and swings it easily cutting the two blades in half. Golduck then fires the psychic waves and grabs Quaxwell as Marina speaks.
"Now pull Quaxwell over to you then use Mega Punch!" "Horsea quick use Disable on Golduck's Psychic!" "Gastrodon knock Horsea away with Mud Shot!" Both trainers call Golduck begins to pull Quaxwell over to it and has its right fist ready. Horsea's about to use Disable but Gastrodon fires a shot of mud that hits Horsea and knocks it away. Quaxwell's now getting closer to Golduck as Misty speaks.
"Quaxwell counter with Triple Axel!" "Hit it Golduck!" Both trainers call Quaxwell's unable to use Triple Axel because of the poison and Golduck's Psychic. Golduck's right fist then glows white as it punches Quaxwell hard in the stomach. Quaxwell coughs in pain as it's sent flying crashing a few feet away as Misty speaks.
"Quaxwell!" Misty calls in worry as she along with everyone else can see that Quaxwell's knocked out, the Sunny Day goes away as Leaf speaks.
"Quaxwell's unable to battle!" Leaf says as Tracey speaks.
"And now they both have 2 Pokémon left" Tracey says with Ash nodding. Back on the battlefield Misty returns Quaxwell back to its ball. Misty looks at the ball telling Quaxwell thank you and puts the ball back on her belt as Marina speaks.
"Looks like we both have 2 Pokémon left so, who's going to be your last one?" Marina asks when Misty's about to choose her final one Psyduck appears next to her and speaks.
"Psy" Psyduck says as Misty speaks.
"Are you saying that you want to battle Psyduck?" Misty asks with Psyduck nodding as it has a determined look on its face. Misty sees just how serious Psyduck is, smiles and speaks.
"Okay Psyduck I'm counting on you and Horsea" Misty says with Psyduck nodding as it walks on the battlefield standing next to Horsea and gets a serious look on its face. Off to the side Ash speaks.
"I've never seen Psyduck look so serious" Ash says as Tracey speaks.
"I'm guessing that it wants to get revenge for its fallen comrades and show its evolved form how strong it is" Tracey says with Ash nodding. The groups Pokémon begin cheering Horsea and Psyduck on as Marina speaks.
"So, her Psyduck's her last one. Golduck, Gastrodon let's win this!" Marina says with the 2-mons nodding as they get into battle stances Misty speaks.
"Horsea, Psyduck let's show them just how strong you both are!" Misty says with the 2-mons nodding as they get into battle stances too Leaf then speaks.
"This is the final battle both trainers have 2 Pokémon left. Whoever defeats their opponent's Pokémon first will be declared the winner. If both trainers are ready, you may now continue!" Leaf says on the battlefield Misty, Marina along with their Pokémon stare at each other in silence, they stay quiet for a few more seconds until they feel a gentle win breeze Marina then speaks.
"Hear we come Misty Gastrodon use Sludge Bomb on Horsea and Golduck use Psychic to increase their speed!" Marina calls Gastrodon fires multiple bombs of poison sludge. Golduck sends out the psychic waves that connect with the Sludge Bombs and starts to make them go faster. As the Sludge Bombs are about to hit Horsea Misty speaks.
"Psyduck use Confusion to stop the Sludge Bombs and Horsea head for Gastrodon then use Ice Beam!" Misty calls Psyduck quickly fires the waves of Confusion in time and manages to stop the Sludge Bombs which surprises Marina. Horsea then starts heading for Gastrodon and begins to build up an Ice Beam as Marina speaks.
"Gastrodon use Protect and Golduck use Hydro Pump on Horsea!" Marina calls when Horsea fires the icy beam Gastrodon quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks the attack. Golduck then fires a big Hydro Pump towards Horsea as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck use Confusion to grab that Hydro Pump and send it back at Golduck! Horsea use Flash Cannon on Gastrodon!" Misty calls Psyduck quickly sends out the waves of Confusion, grabs Golduck's Hydro Pump and sends it back at Golduck hitting it in the face. Golduck then looks over at Psyduck with Psyduck looking at it. Meanwhile Horsea covers its mouth with steel energy and fires a steel beam hitting Gastrodon creating an explosion. When the explosion clears Gastrodon's groaning a little in pain and can feel its special defense decrease as Misty speaks.
"Okay now Psyduck use Confusion on Gastrodon!" "Golduck counter with Psychic!" Both trainers call Psyduck fires its waves of Confusion while Golduck fires its psychic waves. The 2 waves collide, they go back and forth for a little bit then cancel each other out. Once they do Golduck begins running towards Psyduck as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck stop Golduck with Confusion!" "Golduck use Knock Off!" Both trainers call Psyduck fires the confusion waves, they go to stop Golduck but Golduck covers its right hand in dark energy and slashes the Confusion easily destroying it. Golduck's getting closer to Psyduck as Misty speaks.
"Horsea quick use Dragon Pulse!" "Gastrodon use Ice Beam!" Both trainers call Horsea fires the Dragon Pulse towards Golduck but Gastrodon fires the icy beam that easily destroys the Dragon Pulse and hits Horsea knocking it a few feet away. Golduck's now in front of Psyduck as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck use Hydro Pump!" "Golduck use Mega Punch!" Both trainers call before Psyduck can fire the Hydro Pump Golduck's right fist glows and punches Psyduck hard in the stomach. Psyduck coughs in pain as it's then sent crashing next to Horsea creating a dust cloud as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck, Horsea!" Misty calls in worry when the dust clears everyone can see Psyduck and Horsea laying on the ground groaning in pain. A couple seconds later the 2 mons stand back up and are ready to continue making Misty happy as Marina speaks.
"I've to say they're tough" Marina says to herself and smiles. Her smile then goes away as she calls for her next command.
"Gastrodon use Ancient Power!" Marina calls Gastrodon roars as it summons multiple rocks with purple energy around it and fires them towards Psyduck and Horsea as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck, Horsea use Hydro Pump to blow those rocks away!" Misty calls the 2 mons quickly fire the big streams of water and easily destroy the Ancient Power. Suddenly Golduck appears in front of them as Marina speaks.
"Golduck use Mega Punch!" "Psyduck, Horsea dodge!" Both trainers call Golduck's fists glow in white energy and goes to punch the 2 mons. But Psyduck and Horsea manage to jump in the air in time avoiding the attack. Golduck looks at them as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck use Confusion to hold Golduck in place and Horsea use Dragon Pulse!" Misty calls Psyduck quickly fires the waves of Confusion and grabs Golduck holding it in place. Horsea then fires a big Dragon Pulse towards Golduck as Marina speaks.
"Gastrodon use Whirlpool!" Marina calls Gastrodon summons a big Whirlpool and sends it forward. The Whirlpool connects with the Dragon Pulse and creates an explosion. Once that happens Psyduck's hold on Golduck comes undone as Marina speaks.
"Now Golduck grab them with Psychic!" Marina calls Golduck quickly fires the psychic waves and manages to grab Horsea and Psyduck before they fall on the ground. Golduck's now holding both mons in the air the gem on its forehead begins to glow as Marina speaks.
"Now end them with Hyper Beam!" "Horsea, Psyduck get out of there!" Both trainers call Golduck fires the big blast it goes to hit Horsea and Psyduck who're trying to break free. As the Hyper Beam's getting closer Misty speaks.
"Psyduck quick use Protect!" Misty calls just when the Hyper Beam's about to hit them Psyduck manages to quickly summon a protective barrier and blocks the attack. Once it does Psyduck along with Horsea fall back on the ground landing on their stomachs as Misty speaks.
"Are you two, okay?!" Misty asks with the 2-mons nodding making Misty happy as Marina speaks.
"Gastrodon use Hydro Pump!" Marina calls Gastrodon quickly fires a large Hydro Pump that consumes Horsea and Psyduck. The 2-mons cry out in pain as they're sent crashing a few feet away as Misty speaks.
"Horsea, Psyduck!" Misty calls in worry as once the Hydro Pump disappears Horsea along with Psyduck are laying on the ground groaning in pain as Marina speaks.
"Now Golduck use Psychic to hold them down!" Marina calls as Golduck fires the psychic waves and hold the 2 mons in place. Marina then looks at Misty and speaks.
"This battle's been fun Misty but it's time for me to end this. Golduck use Hyper Beam!" Marina calls the gem on Golduck's forehead glows and fires a big beam of energy that heads for Psyduck and Horsea. Off to the side Tracey speaks.
"If Misty doesn't do something soon Horsea and Psyduck are going to lose!" Tracey says as Ash speaks.
"Come on Misty!" Ash cheers along with the groups other Pokémon. Back on the battlefield Misty speaks.
"Horsea, Psyduck dodge!" Misty calls but the 2 mons can't as the Psychic is holding them down Marina then speaks.
"This is the end Misty Golduck hit them!" Marina calls as the Hyper Beam's about to hit the 2 mons Misty speaks.
"Horsea, Psyduck look out!" Misty yells, Horsea looks at the Hyper Beam gets a determined look on its face and yells.
"SEA!" Horsea yells as it starts to glow a bright white surprising everyone. The light also blinds Golduck causing its psychic hold on Psyduck and Horsea to disappear and allows the 2 mons to dodge the Hyper Beam in time as Misty speaks.
"Horsea's evolving" Misty says as everyone continues to watch Horsea glow, and its body begins to change. Once the light to the evolution stops what was once a Horsea now stands a Seadra who has a serious look on its face as Tracey speaks.
"Horsea evolved into a Seadra" Tracey says in surprise as Ash pulls out his Pokedex to scan the mon.
"Seadra, the Dragon Pokémon a water type and the evolved form of Horsea. It is known for its horrible disposition, but possesses both strength and speed." The Pokedex says as Misty speaks.
"That's amazing Seadra you evolved!" Misty says happily as Seadra looks at her and nods Marina then speaks.
"Your Seadra evolving caught me by surprise but don't forget that we're still in the middle of a battle! Golduck use Psychic on Seadra and Psyduck to hold them in place and Gastrodon use Ancient Power!" Marina calls Golduck fires the waves of psychic energy it goes to grab Seadra and Psyduck as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck get in front of Seadra and use Protect! And Seadra head for Gastrodon!" Misty calls Psyduck quickly gets in front of Seadra and summons a protective barrier protecting them both from the Psychic. Seadra then begins to quickly head for Gastrodon as Marina speaks.
"Golduck use Aqua Jet to stop Seadra!" "Psyduck use Confusion on Golduck and knock it away!" Both trainers call Golduck covers its body in water and starts heading for Seadra. Psyduck fires the confusion waves and manages to grab Golduck before it could hit Seadra. Psyduck then sends Golduck a few feet away allowing for Seadra to continue heading for Gastrodon. As Seadra's getting closer Marina speaks.
"Gastrodon use Hydro Pump!" "Dodge Seadra!" Both trainers call Gastrodon fires a big stream of water, but Seadra easily dodges by moving to the right. Seadra's now in front of Gastrodon and looks at it as Misty speaks.
"Now Seadra Hyper Beam!" "Gastrodon Protect!" Both trainers call Gastrodon's unable to use Protect in time as Seadra fires a big beam that consumes Gastrodon. Gastrodon cries out in pain as it's sent a few feet away and crashes on the ground creating a dust cloud as Marina speaks.
"Gastrodon!" Marina calls in worry. When the dust clears everyone can see that Gastrodon's knocked out Leaf then speaks.
"Gastrodon's unable to battle!" Leaf calls making Misty happy as she speaks.
"Great job Seadra!" Misty cheers along with her other Pokémon making Seadra smile. Marina returns Gastrodon back to its Pokeball and thanks it. Marina then looks forward and speaks.
"Golduck let's get revenge for Gastrodon use Mega Punch on Seadra!" Marina calls Golduck appears in front of Seadra its right fist glows and goes to punch the mon as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck use Hydro Pump!" Misty calls Psyduck fires the big stream of water towards Golduck. Golduck sees the water coming then quickly brings up its arms to block the attack. Once it does Golduck's sent sliding back a few feet away, when Golduck stops it looks forward and is ready to continue battling with Seadra and Psyduck ready too. Off to the side Tracey speaks.
"It's two against one Misty can do this" Tracey says with Ash agreeing with him. Back on the battlefield Misty looks at the 2 mons and speaks.
"Seadra, Psyduck just a little more and we'll win!" Misty says with the 2-mons nodding. When Seadra's about to get in a battle stance Psyduck looks at Seadra and speaks.
"Psy" Psyduck says telling Seadra that it'll take on Golduck itself with Seadra nodding as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck are you saying that you want to battle Golduck by yourself?" Misty asks as Psyduck looks at Misty and has a serious look on its face. Misty looks at Psyduck smiles and speaks.
"Okay Psyduck I'll count on you let's do this!" Misty says with Psyduck nodding as it looks at Golduck and gets in a battle stance. Off to the side Tracey speaks.
"I wasn't expecting Psyduck to want to face Golduck all by itself" Tracey says as Ash speaks.
"Me neither but looking at its face you can see just how serious Psyduck is" Ash says with Tracey nodding. Meanwhile the groups other Pokémon continue to cheer Psyduck on as Marina speaks.
"So, her Psyduck wants to face Golduck by itself? I wasn't expecting that, Golduck don't go easy on it!" Marina says with Golduck nodding as it gets in a battle stance and looks at Psyduck. The 2 mons along with their trainers continue to look at each other in silence as Leaf speaks.
"Let the battle continue!" Leaf says as both trainers speak.
"Psyduck use Confusion!" "Golduck use Psychic!" Both trainers call the 2-mons fire their respective moves that collide with each other. The 2 attacks go back and forth for a little bit until Golduck's Psychic attack breaks through Psyduck's Confusion and heads for Psyduck as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck use Protect!" Misty calls. Psyduck quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks the Psychic. Once the barrier goes down Golduck appears in front of Psyduck and has its right fist ready as Marina speaks.
"Golduck use Mega Punch!" "Psyduck quick back away then use Hydro Pump!" Both trainers' call. Golduck's right fist glows and goes to punch Psyduck. But Psyduck manages to jump away in time dodging the attack, once Psyduck lands a few feet away it takes a deep breath and fires a big stream of water towards Golduck as Marina speaks.
"That won't stop us! Golduck use Aqua Jet to enter the Hydro Pump and swim towards Psyduck!" Marina calls Golduck covers its body in water shoots forward and enters the Hydro Pump. Golduck begins swimming inside the move surprising Misty and Psyduck. A few seconds later Golduck appears out of the Hydro Pump and hits Psyduck hard in the stomach making the duck groan in pain as Marina speaks.
"Now Use Hyper Beam!" "Psyduck quick use Confusion to send Golduck away!" Both trainers' call. When Golduck's about to fire the beam Psyduck fires the Confusion waves grabs Golduck and sends it a few feet away. As Golduck's about to hit a nearby rock Marina speaks.
"Golduck break out of Confusion with Knock Off then use Hyper Beam!" Marina calls when Golduck's about to hit the rock it manages to break out of the Confusion in time with Knock Off and stops itself. Golduck then fires the big beam towards Psyduck as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck dodge!" Misty calls Psyduck quickly runs to the left and manages to dodge the beam. But when the beam hits the ground it explodes, Psyduck's caught in the explosion and is sent high into the air as Marina speaks.
"Now Golduck grab it with Psychic!" Marina calls Golduck fires the waves of psychic energy and manages to grab the air born Psyduck and hold it in place. Psyduck groans in pain while being in the Psychic hold as Marina speaks.
"This is it Golduck keep holding Psyduck and fire a Hyper Beam!" Marina calls Golduck nods it continues to hold Psyduck and starts charging up the beam as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck get out of there!" Misty calls Psyduck tries but can't as the Psychic hold is too strong Marina then speaks.
"Now Golduck fire!" Marina calls Golduck finishes charging the beam and fires it at Psyduck as Tracey speaks.
"If that hits Psyduck's going to be knocked out!" Tracey says in worry as Ash speaks.
"Misty get Psyduck out of there!" Ash says while the groups other Pokémon begin to cheer hoping that Psyduck can break out of the Psychic hold in time Misty speaks.
"Psyduck look out!" Misty yells Psyduck hears Misty's voice, but it still can't break free and sees the Hyper Beam heading for it. As the Hyper Beam's getting closer Psyduck decides to stop struggling, closes its eyes and begins to concentrate. Once Psyduck does that it can feel more Psychic power in its body, when Psyduck notices that, it wants to use that power to help Misty win this battle. So, Psyduck continues to concentrate and begins to draw out that power. As Psyduck's doing that its body begins to glow blue, when the Hyper Beam goes to hit Psyduck the duck's able to stop the beam just inches away from hitting it. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces as Psyduck then opens its eyes that are now glowing blue Marina speaks.
"What the?!" Marina says in surprise as Misty speaks.
"This power I remember seeing it on the SS. Anne" Misty says to herself smiles and speaks.
"Okay Psyduck break out of the Psychic and send that Hyper Beam back!" Misty calls Psyduck manages to easily break out of the Psychic and sends the Hyper Beam back towards Golduck as Marina speaks.
"Golduck dodge then use Hydro Pump!" Marina calls when the Hyper Beam goes to hit Golduck the duck jumps to the right avoiding the attack and fires a big stream of water towards Psyduck as Misty speaks.
"Psyduck use Confusion!" Misty calls Psyduck sends out a big Confusion that easily destroys the Hydro Pump and heads for Golduck as Marina speaks.
"Golduck use Psychic!" Marina calls Golduck fires the waves of Psychic energy and connects with Confusion. The 2 moves begin going back and forth for a little bit until Golduck's Psychic starts to beat the Confusion Marina then speaks.
"Yeah! that's it Golduck just a little more and we'll win!" Marina calls with Golduck nodding as it starts to put more power into its Psychic and is about to destroy Psyduck's Confusion Misty speaks.
"Psyduck you can do it!" Misty cheers along with her other Pokémon. Psyduck hears their cheers and begins to draw out more power making its Confusion stronger. As Psyduck continues to make its Confusion stronger the move then turns into Psychic and starts to easily push Golduck's Psychic back as Misty speaks.
"DO IT PSYDUCK!" "PSYYY!" Misty and Psyduck yell as Psyduck's Psychic easily destroys Golduck's and heads for the mon as Marina speaks.
"Golduck dodge!" Marina calls but was too late as the Psychic connects with Golduck and sends it crashing into a big rock creating a dust cloud as Marina speaks.
"Golduck!" Marina calls in worry. A couple seconds later Psyduck lands back on the ground and is panting heavily then looks forward to see the results. When the dust clears everyone can see that Marina's Golduck is knocked out Leaf then speaks.
"Golduck's unable to battle Psyduck's the winner! Seeing as Marina doesn't have any more Pokémon Misty is the victor!" Leaf says happily. Misty then gets a big smile on her face and speaks.
"We won!" Misty cheers along with her Pokémon, Misty then runs on the battlefield and wraps Seadra along with Psyduck in a big hug and speaks.
"Thank you Seadra and Psyduck you two were amazing!" Misty says making the 2-mons smile as they return the hug. Off to the side Ash speaks.
"Nice Misty did it!" Ash says happily as Tracey speaks.
"I was worried there a few times, but she managed to pull it off" Tracey says with Ash nodding. Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield Marina returns Golduck back to its Pokeball and tells it thank you. Marina then sees Misty along with her Pokémon running towards her, once they get close enough Misty speaks.
"Hey Marina, that was a great battle" Misty says as Marina speaks.
"I agree my Pokémon, and I enjoyed it too. I have to say I wasn't expecting your Horsea to evolve nor your Psyduck having that much power" Marina says as Misty speaks.
"Yeah, I wasn't expecting Horsea to evolved either, also this is the second time I've seen Psyduck use its dormant power thank you for pushing it to the limit" Misty says with Marina nodding as she speaks.
"You're welcome and if your Psyduck's strong now as it is I wonder just how much stronger it'll be as a Golduck" Marina says with Misty nodding as she speaks.
"Yeah, I'm looking forward to that what about you Psyduck?" Misty says then looks at the duck who looks at her and speaks.
"Psy, psy" Psyduck says while shaking its head as Misty speaks.
"Are you saying that you don't want to evolve?" Misty asks with Psyduck nodding. After that Ash, Leaf, and Tracey walk over. When they get close enough Tracey speaks.
"I'm guessing that Psyduck isn't interested in evolving and just wants to remain as a Psyduck" Tracey says as Leaf speaks.
"Honestly I can kind of see why as since it defeated its evolved form Psyduck probably feels that it evolving isn't necessary." Leaf says with Misty nodding as Misty looks at Psyduck and speaks.
"Is what they're saying true Psyduck?" Misty asks with the duck nodding as Ash then pulls out his Everstone and speaks.
"Here Misty you can use my Everstone that way Psyduck won't have to worry about evolving" Ash says as Misty looks at him and speaks.
"Are you sure Ash? But what if one of your Pokémon don't want to evolve?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"Well in that case I can always find another Everstone and besides I've a feeling that none of my Pokémon are interested in using this. Also, it's best to give it to you as it'll probably just collect dust on my shelf at home" Ash responds with his Pokémon nodding as Misty speaks.
"I see thank you" Misty says with Ash nodding as he hands her the Everstone. Misty then bends down getting on Psyduck's eye level and speaks.
"Now Psyduck once I use this on you, you'll never be able to evolve. I'll ask again are you sure about this?" Misty asks while having a serious look on her face, Psyduck looks at Misty and nods making Misty smile as she speaks.
"Okay looks like you've made your decision" Misty says with Psyduck nodding. Misty then places the Everstone on Psyduck's head. There's a light that glows for a few seconds then disappears everyone then sees that the Everstone's gone and look at Psyduck as Misty speaks.
"Did it work?" Misty asks as Tracey speaks.
"Yes, it did now Psyduck won't have to worry about evolving" Tracey says with Misty nodding as she looks at Psyduck and speaks.
"You know now that I think about it, I'm happy that you're not evolving Psyduck as I like you just the way you are, and we'll continue to work hard together in order to draw out more of your dormant power" Misty says with Psyduck nodding. Misty then stands back up as Marina speaks.
"Well on that note I'm going to go, and Misty, are you taking part in the Mandarin Island Water Tournament?" Marina asks as Misty looks at her and speaks.
"Yes, I am but so are Ash and Leaf" Misty responds making Marina happy as she speaks.
"Nice well in that case the next time we see each other will be on the day of the tournament take care" Marina says with Misty nodding as she speaks.
"Yep, see you then" Misty says with Marina nodding as she tells the group goodbye and leaves. Once she's gone Tracey speaks.
"We should probably head out too" Tracey says with the group nodding as they return their Pokémon other than Pikachu, Togepi and Lapras. The group then get on Lapras's back and begin to head for their next destination. As Lapras's swimming forward Ash speaks.
"That was a pretty relaxing day" Ash says with the others agreeing as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah, and Misty congrats again on Horsea evolving into Seadra and I didn't know that your Psyduck had so much power" Leaf says as Misty speaks.
"Thank you and when I first saw Psyduck use that power I didn't believe it either. During the past few months, I've been trying to have Psyduck use that power again but didn't know how other than giving Psyduck a headache. But it seems like as along as I continue to train Psyduck it'll be able to draw out that power and have full mastery of it one day." Misty says with the group nodding as Tracey speaks.
"Also, I think that battle you had with Marina sparked something in Togepi" Tracey says as the group look at Togepi trying to wrestle with Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Looks like watching that battle gave Togepi more motivation to grow stronger just like you wanted Misty" Ash says with Misty nodding as she speaks.
"Yep, and now it's your turn Ash as we should be reaching the island for your next gym challenge soon" Misty says with Ash nodding as Tracey speaks.
"As long as we continue and don't have problems, we should be able to reach Navel Island tomorrow" Tracey says making Ash happy as Leaf speaks.
"This is great Ash we'll reach the island soon" Leaf says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, and I'm going to get my next gym badge! Lapras full speed ahead!" Ash says with Lapras nodding as it begins to swim faster which almost causes Misty, Leaf, Tracey, Pikachu, and Togepi to fall off the mon. The 3 kids along with Pikachu glare at Ash (Togepi's just laughing) while Ash along with Lapras let out a small chuckle. They continue heading for Navel Island as the chapter comes to an end.

Also, as you can see, I decided to not have Psyduck evolve because personally while it would be cool to write Misty having a Golduck I feel that Psyduck fits her better and instead of Psyduck evolving I had Horsea evolve instead. But even though Psyduck didn't evolve it managed to draw out more of its dormant power and learned Psychic.
Next chapter will come out next week it'll focus on Ash taking on his second gym challenge where he'll have to overcome some challenges and participate in a triple battle. Will he be able to do it and win the badge? You'll have to wait and see.
