And here we go with the final chapter.

One year later

Two and a half year old Sofia Torres was being carried safely in her grandfather's arms as they headed down the hallway of Seattle Grace-Mercy West hospital.
"We see baby?" Sofia asked the old Marine.
"Yes," Daniel said as they made their way down the hallway. "We're going to see your little sister."
"We see baby," Sofia grinned. The dimples she got from her mother and her mother got from her father on full display.
When they reached the hospital room that Callie had been moved to once she had given birth, he stopped. For a second, he just observed his wife holding their granddaughter as Callie laid in bed and Arizona sat on the edge of it.
"Mommy!" Sofia called out, breaking his focus. "There is a baby!"
"Isn't it wonderful?" Arizona asked as she stood. She crossed the room and took her daughter from her father's arms and settled her on her hip.
"Thanks for taking her last night," Arizona said to her father. "You and Mom having Sof took a lot off my plate."
"That's why we bought the house across the street," Daniel smiled down at his daughter. "To be useful."
"Doesn't hurt that there is a fishing hole a ten minute walk away, does it?" Arizona asked with a chuckle.
"Not a bit," Daniel laughed softly.
"Do you want to meet your little sister?" Arizona asked when she moved her attention from her father to her daughter.
"Yeah!" Sofia nodded quickly.
"You have to be quiet and use your inside voice, okay?" Arizona reminded her as she walked deeper into the room.
"Oh-tay," Sofia said in a whisper. "Hi Momma."
"Hi mija," Callie smiled as she watched from the hospital bed. She was tired and sore and wanted the biggest BLT in the world and then a nap but she was not missing her girls meeting the first time for anything.
"Sof," Arizona said as she reached Barbara and the bundle in her arms. "This is your little sister," she almost whispered to herself. "Chase."
"Hi, baby," Sofia said as she reached her hand and gave her forehead the softest pat she could manage. She stroked her forehead like she was petting a dog.
Chase's little face scrunched up at being touched, and she let out a soft whine.
"Do you and Dad mind going to get some coffee and food for Callie while I help get Chase fed?" Arizona asked her mother.
"Not at all honey,' Barbara said.
Daniel came over to take Sofia, so Barbara could pass Chase over to Arizona. After what felt like a million hours of holding babies for her job, she took her daughter with ease.
"If you're a very good girl, we'll get you some jello as a snack," Daniel said to Sofia as the three of them left Callie and Arizona with Chase.
"He is so good with her," Callie noted as she looked from the doorway to her wife and daughter.
"He really is," Arizona laughed before walking over and sitting down on the edge of Callie's bed. She looked down at Chase's small face and couldn't stop smiling even if she wanted to. "She's perfect."
"She really is," Callie said. She reached her hand out to stroke their daughter's cheek and smiled at the big yawn that Chase let out. "I forget how little they are on day one."
Arizona bent down, so she could breathe in her daughter's scent. She wanted to commit to memory how good she smelled and how wonderful it felt to hold her today and to be with Callie from the start of this journey.
"How are you feeling?" Callie asked.
"Me?" Arizona lifted her head up. "I'm not the one who just had nineteen hours of labor, Calliope. How are you feeling?"
"Sore, tired, so hungry, and in need of so much coffee," Callie answered honestly. "But we have two healthy daughters, a happy marriage, and the next twelve weeks off together with our girls. So all in all? I'm awesome."
Arizona beamed at the use of her favorite word from her wife. "I like when you're awesome."
"I'm always awesome," Callie teased. "Now, go shut the curtain, so I can try and feed our girl."
"Yes, dear," Arizona chuckled as she got to her feet after handing over Chase. She shut the curtain and turned to watch the pair. "Still the most beautiful sight in the world."
"Me breastfeeding? Really?" Callie snorted.
"There is something about it that just warms me," Arizona said as she returned to sit at Callie's side. "And you know how I am about getting warm."
"I do," Callie said. She winced a little as Chase bit down. "Do all of your children have to be such aggressive eaters?"
"Yup," Arizona smiled as she lifted a hand and stroked her daughter's head.
Callie looked down at the baby girl in her arms and just smiled. "Arizona?"
"Yeah, Calliope?"
"We should send Teddy some flowers," Callie said.
"Teddy?" Arizona asked confused.
"She is the one who set us up on our first date. Without her we might never have started to date or figured out about Sofia," Callie pointed out. "It feels right to send her some flowers."
"Okay," Arizona agreed. "Maybe we can make her Chase's godmother too?"
"I like that," Callie nodded. "Nick is flying in at about six to meet her, right?"
"He has a shirt that says 'Yes, I am the godfather' and everything," Arizona said with a roll of her eyes.
"Good," Callie said. "I can't wait to meet him in something other than video messaging."
"You two are going to be fast friends, I'm sure of it," Arizona promised.
Callie bent her head down and kissed Chase's forehead softly as she fed. "When we found out about Sofia and things just fell into place, for a little while I expected something to happen. Us to not fit or you to get spooked or just something. But it never really came. Not really. We are happy and healthy and in love."
"We are happy and healthy and in love," Arizona agreed. She leaned forward and kissed her wife softly. "I love you, Calliope."
"I love you too, so much," Callie smiled.
