Chapter 76/Epilogue

(It is the end of the day. Elizabeth comes home from work to find Jason cooking supper for her and the boys. She goes to her husband)

Liz: "Hey, babe."

Jason: "Hey, honey."

(Jason gives his wife a kiss on the lips)

Jason: "How'd your day go?"

Liz: (nods) "Not too bad."

(Epiphany knew the results of the pregnancy test. Now, it was time to tell Jason. Everyone at supper time ate except for Elizabeth as she was nauseous. She barely ate anything. The boys started doing their homework between the living room and their bedrooms. Elizabeth goes to Jason)

Liz: "I need to talk to you about something."

Jason: (slightly concerned) "Are you okay?"

Liz: (nods) "I'm fine."

(Jason shook his head in response as he did not believe her)

Jason: "No, you're not, baby. You didn't eat much at supper time. What's wrong? Are you sick? Talk to me."

(Elizabeth smiles a bit as she spoke)

Liz: "There's a reason why I'm not feeling the best. I wasn't feeling the best at work, either. I didn't have much to eat at lunch time, either."

(Jason worriedly faced her until she continued to smile a bit, causing him to connect the dots)

Jason: "Honey, are you pregnant? Or do you think you're pregnant?"

Liz: "Epiphany suspected I am and urged me to get tested. I was in disbelief because it hasn't been long since we started trying."

Jason: "Remember, Elizabeth, we are not using protection."

Liz: (chuckles) "I know that, Morgan."

Jason: "Did you get tested?"

Liz: (nods) "I did."

(Jason slowly leans forward)

Jason: "And?"

Liz: (smiles) "Get ready to be a daddy again in nine months. We're pregnant."

(Jason smiles happily as he takes his wife in his arms)

Jason: "Thank you, again, for making me the happiest man alive."

(After sharing a kiss, they debated whether to share the news until the baby reaches three months so Elizabeth doesn't possibly miscarry. After some consideration, they decide to wait)

***Three Months Later***

(Jason and Elizabeth have the boys sit down in the living room)

Cameron: (warily) "Everything okay, mom?"

Liz: (nods) "Don't worry."

Jake: (confused) "What's going on, guys?"

Jason: "We have some news to share with you."

Aiden: "Okay?"

Danny: "Mommy Elizabeth, are you okay?"

Liz: "I'm fine, Danny. It's good news. At least, your father and I feel it is."

Cameron: "Mom, dad, just tell us."

(Jason and Elizabeth face each other before smiling at the kids)

Jason: "How would you feel about having a brother or sister in six months?"

(All the boys gasp and quickly look at each other before looking at their parents again)

Cameron: "Are you serious?"

Jake: "I'm going to be a big brother soon?"

Jason: (nods) "Yes. You all will be."

Cameron: (laughs) "That's awesome!" (worriedly) "Wait a second. Why didn't you say something sooner? Everything okay?"

Liz: "There's a greater risk for a miscarriage if we said something before three months."

(Everyone is happy)

Liz: "At four and a half months, we can find out if I'm having a boy or a girl."

(While everyone agreed they would love a girl, they'd still be happy if it was a boy)

***Four & A Half Months Later***

(At Elizabeth's ultrasound, Terry, who is performing the ultrasound, asks her patient if she wants to know the sex of the baby or if she wants to be surprised)

Liz: "Jason and I already discussed it."

Jason: "We'd like to know the sex of the baby, please."

Terry: (chuckles) "No problem."

(Terry looks at the screen a bit more and smiles wide)

Terry: "You're saying you want to know the sex of both babies?"

(The last two words in Terry's question caught both Elizabeth and Jason off-guard. They quickly looked at each other before facing their doctor)

Liz: "Terry?"

Terry: (smiles) "Yes, Elizabeth?"

Liz: "Did you just say what we think you did?"

Jason: "Did you just say 'babies'? As in plural?"

Terry: (laughs) "Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan! Not only are you having twins, but according to the ultrasound, it should be twin girls!"

(Jason and Elizabeth turn towards each other)

Liz: (grins) "We made twins, Jason."

(Jason kisses Elizabeth's forehead and then kisses her tummy after the goo is wiped off)

(After the ultrasound appointment is done, Elizabeth goes to see Monica and Epiphany. They look at the ultrasound picture and are so happy for her)

Epiphany: "So, what do you think of the fact that it's twin girls?"

Liz: "Jason, the boys, and I wanted a girl. The fact that it is twins…" (chuckles) "…the boys will love it."

Monica: "Where's Jason?"

Liz: "He went to talk to Sonny and Carly."

Epiphany: (serious tone) "Sonny better give Jason time off to help you with those babies when it's time."

(Elizabeth playfully rolls her eyes)

Liz: "Oh, trust me, Epiphany. Jason will make sure of it. I know the boys will help when they can as they will be obsessed with their sisters."

Monica: "Do you and Jason have any names planned for the twin girls?"

(Elizabeth moves her head back and forth)

Liz: "We've talked about names if it was a boy or girl."

(Monica embraces her daughter-in-law)

(Meanwhile, Jason goes to visit Sonny and Carly and updates them on the ultrasound appointment. Carly puts both hands over her mouth and her eyes widen)

Carly: "Oh, my god! Twin girls! I'm so happy for you, Jayse!"

Sonny: (smiles) "I know how much you love those boys. But I'll bet you had all sorts of emotions when you learned it was twin girls."

Jason: "Elizabeth and I are both excited."

Sonny: "Whenever you need time off…whether it's throughout her pregnancy or once the babies are born or both…just let me know and I'll make it happen."

Jason: (nods) "Thank you. I appreciate it."

Carly: "Do you and Elizabeth have any names picked out yet?"

Jason: "One for sure is Emily after my sister. Elizabeth insisted. I agreed. We wanted both grandmothers in the middle name. We knew it may be impossible with one girl. But, now that we are having two girls, we can do it. I wanted the name Isabella after Elizabeth as it's the Spanish version." (chuckles) "Elizabeth thought it was a bit corny to have the girl named after her, but I wanted that. The boys thought it was beautiful. So, what we were thinking while looking at the ultrasound…Isabella Lila and Emily Audrey."

Sonny: (nods) "Very beautiful."

Jason: "I'm going to go get Elizabeth at the hospital. She wanted to visit with Epiphany and Mom for a bit."

(Sonny gives Jason a brotherly hug before Jason departs)

***Five & A Half Months Later***

(Jason and Elizabeth are excited when Emily and Isabella are born. Now, their family is complete. Cameron and Josslyn are still happy together. Carly and Elizabeth are great friends. Everything is right in the world. Just as it should be)

A/N: I wasn't happy that on the show Sam named her daughter Emily after Jason's sister even though Sam refers her daughter usually by 'Scout'. So, in this story, at the end, this is my way of correcting the show's 'error'. Hope you agree. I always hoped that Elizabeth and Jason had a little girl of their own. I see that will never happen, though, on the show. In some of my stories, though, it will. Thank you for reading and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
