Ace takes two stairs at a time, before she can knock the door opens. "I heard you thundering up the steps, he's outside." Ace gives Ryan a small smile in thanks and heads to Graham.

"Graham?"

"Ace?"

"It's me." She leans down in front of him.

"You still want to be with me?"

"Of course I do, I love you."

"Is love always enough?"

"Graham," she puts her hand on his cheeks and brings his eyes to meet hers. "We may fight from time to time, I may say something I don't mean or I don't fully understand about myself. You may not be my first long term relationship, but you are the first one worth fighting for."

"I am?"

"You may not realize this, but since you ran out today, I have been going everywhere I thought you would visit."

"You did."

"I started with OUR home, then came here then Grace's grave followed my gut to UNIT HQ."

"You went to Grace's grave?"

"I know you still love her and since you love her, I love her. This isn't the first time I went there alone."

"You've been there before?"

"A few times, she is important to you. I wanted her to know how deep my love goes for you and that Ryan is also important to me."

"Am I moving too fast for you?"

"God no, for the past many months the only thing that has been going how I want it to; is us. You know I am already picturing you at my side for every Gala, Fundraiser, Benefit Concert that I host for A Charitable Earth. If you were moving too fast for me, do you think I would be picturing you in a nice suit, me in a dress."

"You did look amazing in that dress."

"You have no idea what you did to me when you were in that suit."

"What you do to me everyday."

"Probably. Graham, I love you and it is worth fighting for."

"I love you too."

"I know," Ace brings his lips to hers.

"You've been crying."

"How can you tell?"

"The kiss was more salty than usual."

"I have been. Remember our talk about fears during the storm a few months ago?"

"I do."

"This made me realize I am scared of losing you and what we have."

"I think I overreacted."

"Graham, you did not. Your brain was telling you that I was pulling back." Ace is still on her knees in front of him and runs one of her hands through his hair. "I did call you."

"When I got back here I realized my phone was dead. The letter, my god Ace, I am sorry."

"I am sorry too, I should've snapped out of it before you thought I meant us. I did go through your drawers before I found your note, because I was so worried I lost you. In this case I am glad that I have the chip in my shoulder from the Doctor. My Doctor talked to me about how you still love me and he knew that I more than love you."

"I am glad you had someone to talk to."

"I want to talk to you. Not the Time Lord who is a mix between my father and best friend."

"And I want to talk to you to my love," Graham watches as Ace smiles.

Ryan steps out, "I am going to head out, Yaz wants to go out for drinks and says she has a surprise for me, lock up when you leave and please leave before you have make up sex." Ryan leaves before anything can be said to him.

"Ace did you see anything," he sees that Ace is still on his lap, "come here.''

"What were you saying?" Ace gets more comfortable on his lap.

"Did you find anything in my drawer?"

Into his shoulder, "a receipt from a jewelry store."

"It isn't for an engagement ring."

Taking her head off his shoulder, "what do you mean by that?" Graham tries to get into his pocket. "Need my help?"

"Please." Ace reaches into his pocket and feels a small box, "it isn't an engagement ring, but it is a promise ring."

"A promise ring?"

"We are a little old for a pinning ceremony and to tell people we are going steady, so this ring is a promise to you and so our friends know that yes, I am planning to ask you to marry me within the year. Is that ok?"

"Oh Graham it is," he opens the box.

"Do you like it?"

"I love it," Ace kisses him again and he slides the ring on her finger.

"I'm glad, I tried to think of one that would go with most of your suits and your hazel eyes."

"It's perfect." Ace leans to kiss him again after they break she laughs with Graham's arms still around her.

"What's so funny?"

"Well, I was probably worrying everyone running around and probably no not probably, definitely breaking a few laws."

"Please tell me you were safe."

"I am here, aren't I?"

"Ace," the chair starts to make a cracking noise.

"How about we take the rest of this discussion home."

"Ok." Ace gets off his lap and offers her hand to him, he takes it and their lips meet in another kiss.

"Go get your bag, I will meet you back at home." Ace walks away from Graham who then goes and gets his overnight bad and shoots off a text to Ryan that he is going home with Ace. Ace is standing by her car as Graham makes his way down the stairs.

"What?"

"Just waiting for you, I know we are not riding together, but leaving at the same time unless one of us gets cut off we can arrive home at the same time."

"Ok," Graham unlocks his car and throws his bag inside before walking back over to Ace and dragging her into another kiss. "I'll see you at home."

"Yes you will," Ace gets into her car and smiles as Graham gets into his. About half way home Ace's phone rings. "Hello."

"Thank heavens, you sound happy."

"I am Nys, I found Graham and we mostly talked it over. I will have a surprise at work for you."

"Not until Wednesday."

"Why?"

"You should spend some time with Graham."

"I wouldn't mind that. It will give me time to tell him about what our lawyers said."

"Yeah, Tegan isn't happy."

"I understand, I think that was the reason for my freak out."

"Well, tell him."

"I will, and before I forget did you do something with the food?"

"I put it in your little fridge."

"Thank you."

"What are you planning to do with Graham?"

"We have a long conversation about what is going to be going on."

"Good."

"I told him how I reacted when he walked out."

"Equally good, Tegan just came back from her run, I will see you on Wednesday."

"Are you sure you can handle everything?"

"I have many times, enjoy your day off."

"Oh I will, bye Nys, give Tegan my love and apologies for her being dragged into everything."

"I will, I am glad that you patched things up quickly with Graham."

"Me too." They hang up as Ace pulls up at the home she shares with Graham.
