"So, how long have you two been married?" the pilot asks, attempting to make small talk with the two agents.
"About six months," Leon says, taking Helena's hand in his and rubbing his thumb over the back of it. The two didn't want to make any small talk; not until Aliya was at home safe and sound.
"Ah, any children in your future?"
"Maybe one day but right now we just want to enjoy being married first."
"Yeah, well kids might happen a lot sooner," Helena mutters, making sure that she was looking out the window so that Leon didn't hear her. Helena rubbed her stomach in discomfort, the virus that she now knew as morning sickness making her feel like she was dying.
"You alright?"
"Oh yeah, just cramps," she says, giving him a weak smile as she covered her mouth to keep herself from vomiting.
Meanwhile, Aliya awoke on a cold cement floor. The teenage girl was wearing a blue hospital gown and her whole body hurt, especially her neck which felt like a needle got jabbed into her. Aliya lifted her other hand around to the back of her left arm to find that her Dexcom device was missing. The gravity of the situation slowly sank in, and she got up and ran over to the steel door, banging her hands on it until they were black and blue with bruises.
"Hey! Let me out of here! You assholes are going to be so fucking sorry!" She screamed as she continued to pound on the door, knowing her efforts were in vain.
Aliya looked around the room, seeing a couple of clay pots laying around and a crowbar against a wardrobe. Aliya picked the crowbar up and looked at the steel door.
"Okay, I need to get out of here."
"Alright you two, I'm going to fly around and drop you two off on the outskirts of the town. It's too suspicious to drop you off right in the middle of it." The pilot says as he started circling around, about to say something else when something hit the chopper and smoke filled the cabin, making the two agents in the back cough as they breathed in the smoke, covering their nose and mouth as they tried their best to keep from breathing too much of the smoke in.
"Mayday, mayday! We're going down!" The pilot yells as he fights to gain control over the chopper and Leon and Helena held on for dear life as the helicopter crashed into the woods, the front of it catching on fire where the pilot was.
Helena hit her head as they went down, immediately being knocked unconscious while Leon got buried in the rubble. It wasn't long before several people converged on them and grabbed Helena, dragging the unconscious woman away. Helena could feel herself being dragged across the dirt in the woods but had been unable to open her eyes to try and get away from the strangers.
At some point, Helena briefly regained consciousness on an exam table wearing a blue gown that could only be described as a hospital gown. Her hands were strapped down at her side and her feet were also strapped down. Helena was conscious enough to be aware that she was being poked and prodded by several scientists surrounding her.
"Alright, are we ready to begin?" The man to her left asks, only his blue eyes visible since he was wearing a blue surgical face mask.
"Yes, but sir, there's something you should know about her blood work we did as soon as we brought her in. It appears that she's pregnant."
"Is she now?" The man asks, looking down at her as Helena saw his forehead wrinkle, an indicator to Helena that, while this man was wearing a face mask, she could see in his eyes that he was smiling deviously down at her, "we are going to have so much fun with you,"
Helena tried to glare at him but was quickly put back under. No matter how much she tried her best to fight it, she succumbed to the darkness, the only thing she was aware of was a needle being stabbed into her neck.
Aliya was using the crowbar that she found and was trying to pry the steel door open when she had footsteps approaching down some stairs and hid in the corner with it as the door opened, not recognizing the person thrown in at first and she lunged at the two guards. Her plan ultimately failed, one guard immediately taking the metal bar and using it to smack her across the face and to the ground while the other guard kicked her in the stomach and making her yelp. Aliya looked up through her blurred vision as the guard that hit her with the crowbar threw it across the room.
"Watch her. She's a special one." The guard says, pointing to the figure on the ground and leaving, slamming the steel door behind them.
Aliya groaned as she sat up, lifting her hand and pulling it away to reveal blood and her healing factor wasn't working. As she got older, it was found that she ran out of her serum faster and when she was running low, her healing factor wouldn't work. Aliya finally snapped out of it and approached the figure that was laying face down and turned her over, gasping when she discovered that it was Helena.
"Helena? Helena wake up!" She says frantically, shaking her shoulder and sighing in relief as she heard a groan from the older woman.
Helena's eyes flickered open, staring around the dark room until she saw Aliya.
"Aliya? Are you alright? Did they hurt you?" she asked, noticing the bleeding cut on her cheek and a bruise from where the crowbar hit and felt herself getting angry that these people dared hit her. Helena then turned her and saw that her Dexcom was gone, which made the situation more dire than ever.
"No, I'm fine."
Helena sighed in relief in relief as she hugged Aliya, suddenly feeling emotional and quickly wiping the tears away. Aliya was confused now; in the three years since she moved in with them, she had only seen Helena cry once and that was on the one-year anniversary of her sister's death.
"Why are you crying?"
"I'm just happy that you're alright," she says, pulling away from the teen but keeping her hands on her arms. Aliya coughed aggressively, coughing blood up onto the gown that Helena was also wearing. Helena stared at her in alarm, rubbing her arms until the coughing fit was over.
"Don't worry, we'll get you out of here."
"Helena," she rasps, "they injected something into me."
"Me too."
