Chapter 3 - Jungle Boogie
Mario, Pit, and Yoshi groaned as they slowly regained consciousness, their heads pounding from the force of Bowser's attack.
"We need some help," Mario declared, his voice urgent.
Pit slowly got back on his feet as he asked, "Do you know anybody that can assist us?"
"I do," Mario replied, "We need Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. They'll help us take down any other threats that come our way."
Pit and Yoshi nodded in agreement. They set off on their journey, leaving the Mushroom Kingdom and traveling to Kong Isle.
As they ventured deeper into the heart of the wilderness, they stumbled upon a peculiar sight – a bear and a bird, engaged in a lively discussion beneath the canopy of a mysterious forest.
"Yoshi? (What is this place?)" Yoshi asked.
"I don't know, let's-a ask those guys over there-a," Mario replied.
"Hey, Banjo! We've gotta find our pals, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong! They're the ones who can help us," the bird exclaimed.
Banjo nodded in agreement. "Right you are, Kazooie! Let's keep moving. We'll find them soon enough."
Mario, Pit, and Yoshi approached the duo, as Banjo turned to them.
"Hey, do you know what-a place this is?" Mario asked.
"Yeah, this is Click Clock Wood," Banjo replied.
"Click Clock Wood?" Mario whispered to Pit.
"All this multiverse stuff must be making different places appear in other universes," Pit estimated. "Or maybe we just went into a new universe and we don't know it?"
"I don't know, but we could use their help," Mario said.
They introduced themselves and explained their mission to enlist Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong's aid. Banjo's eyes lit up with excitement at the prospect of reuniting with his friends.
"Well, fancy meeting you here! We're on a bit of a quest ourselves. Looks like our paths have crossed for a reason," Banjo remarked, extending a paw in friendship.
With their newfound companions in tow, Mario, Pit, Yoshi, and Banjo continued their journey through the dense forest, their spirits lifted by the camaraderie that had formed among them.
In a separate universe, Little Mac prepared for his upcoming match with focused determination.
"Just remember, Mac, you can take out whoever you face!" Doc Louis said to raise Mac's spirits.
As he stepped into the ring, he was surprised to find himself facing none other than Donkey Kong, the legendary ape distinguished for his brute strength.
"What? I have to fight Donkey Kong?" Little Mac thought, "It doesn't matter. I'll still do my best!"
The bell rang, signaling the start of the match, and Little Mac wasted no time in launching a barrage of punches at Donkey Kong. But Donkey Kong proved to be a formidable fighter, his massive fists swinging with the force of a freight train.
Despite his best efforts, Little Mac struggled to keep up with Donkey Kong's relentless assault. With a violent uppercut, Donkey Kong knocked Mac out cold, the crowd silent in shock.
As the dust settled, Donkey Kong approached Little Mac with a grin, impressed by the boxer's resilience. "You've got the fight in you, Mac. I like that. How about you come train with Diddy Kong and me? We could use someone with your spirit."
Doc Louis suddenly looked up as he was eating his chocolate bar. "You taking Mac to train with you?" Doc said, "You're gonna take this guy's offer, Mac?"
"New training means new experiences Doc," Little Mac declared, "I'm always down for some training and you know that. Besides, it's not like you can't come either. You can coach me alongside Donkey Kong and be my emotional support."
Little Mac, humbled by Donkey Kong's offer, eagerly nodded. Doc decided to come to. And so, he joined Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong in their jungle abode, honing his skills under the combined tutelage of Donkey Kong and Doc Louis.
Meanwhile, Mario, Pit, Yoshi, and Banjo finally arrived at their destination – Donkey Kong's treehouse deep in the heart of Kongo Jungle. They were greeted by Donkey Kong, alongside his trusty sidekick, Diddy Kong.
"Hey, DK! We've got some visitors," Diddy Kong exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement.
Donkey Kong turned to greet their guests, a warm smile spreading across his face. "Well, well, what do we have here?" Welco- BANJO?!"
"Hey DK! Long time no see!" Banjo replied as they shared a hearty handshake.
"What brings all of you out here?" Donkey Kong asked.
Mario explained the situation, detailing the looming threat to the multiverse and the need for their assistance in stopping it. Donkey Kong listened intently, his brow furrowed in thought as he considered their plight.
"Look, Mario, you and I have some history," Donkey Kong said while stomping his foot. "But I'm always open to beating some guys up!"
Before Donkey Kong could respond, their moment of peace was shattered by the sudden arrival of their old nemesis, King K. Rool.
"Ah, if it isn't the pesky heroes. You've come seeking trouble, I presume?" K. Rool sneered, his eyes gleaming with malice.
"Speaking of beating guys up," Donkey Kong continued, "Why don't we beat K. Rool up for old times' sake Diddy?"
"You bet!" Diddy replied as he took on a fighting stance.
Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Little Mac, and Banjo wasted no time in springing into action. Banjo decided to shoot eggs from afar at K. Rool. Diddy Kong soon joined Banjo, as he shot peanuts from his Peanut Popgun.
Little Mac tried to hit K. Rool with all his might, but K. Rool used Gut Check. Mac was sent flying as he crashed into a tree. Donkey Kong and K. Rool took turns punching each other. Blow after blow, they sent shockwaves throughout Kongo Jungle. K. Rool then grabbed Donkey Kong's tie and slammed him into the ground, before K. Rool performed a jumping splash that would crush Donkey Kong.
Little Mac stood up tired, as K. Rool took out his boxing gloves. "I suppose I'll play at your speed!" K. Rool laughed as he charged toward Little Mac.
Little Mac hit K. Rool with a jab as he weaved K. Rool's hook. As K. Rool left himself open, he repeatedly punched K. Rool in the face. K. Rool responded by throwing a cross at Little Mac, who weaved it again. Little Mac responded with a Star Uppercut, sending K. Rool on his back.
"You know what, I've had enough!" K. Rool yelled as he performed a body avalanche, sending Mac crashing down.
But just as it seemed they might be overpowered, Little Mac suddenly felt a surge of power coursing through his veins. With a primal roar, he transformed into Giga Mac, a towering behemoth of raw strength and ferocity.
Giga Mac unleashed devastating punches, sending K. Rool reeling with each blow. Giga Mac sent K. Rool crashing to the ground with a mighty uppercut, defeated and humbled.
"I'm not leaving here without something!" K. Rool said as he took out his Blunderbuss. His Blunderbuss created a vacuum effect, as everybody held onto a tree. Diddy Kong, Little Mac, and Banjo couldn't hold on any longer, and they were ultimately caught in K. Rool's hands.
As K. Rool made his hasty retreat on the Gangplank Galleon, he laughed as Donkey Kong tried to run after him.
"Diddy! Banjo! Mac!" Donkey Kong yelled, "YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS K. ROOL!"
Pit approached Donkey Kong again, determined to convince him to join their cause. "Donkey Kong, we need your help to stop the multiverse's villains. Will you stand with us?"
Donkey Kong sighed, "Promise me we can save my buddies too."
"Absolutely! Rescuing Diddy and Banjo from K. Rool is just as important as taking down the villains!"
Donkey Kong grinned, extending a hand in friendship. "I'll join you guys."
With Donkey Kong's allegiance secured, the heroes stood united once more, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead in their quest to protect the multiverse from darkness.
